Feeling like an NPC who's dialogue is skipped and quest is ignored.

So I have been thinking about the way some people in fandom think that Dick plays favouritism with Damian, especially over Tim... and it's so weird...

Like, ya Dick did "take Damian's side" when Tim was arguing with him about believing Bruce is still alive and that making Damian Robin (and without telling him before Damian's smug face came with the Robin suit on) was a mistake...

But, Dick didn't do it because he liked it or because he "perfers Damian because he is just a kid" and "Tim can take care of himself without him" or whatever... he did it because at the time he had no other option. How else was he going to train Damian, keep an eye on him so he doesn't kill anyone and patrolling Gotham everysingle night as Batman... like that's a lot of shit for one guy to deal with... for not saying having to deal with the aftermath of Battle of the Cowl and of still mourning a dead father...

Also, he did want Tim to be at his side as an equal partner

But misscomunication and different ways of looking at their situation and at the role of Robin made things between them more complicated.

BUT EVEN THEN DICK AND TIM STILL TRUSTED EACH OTHER AS BROTHERS AND TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER WHEN NEEDED...

Let's be honest during this time (and even now, probably), if Dick is to "have a favourite brother" that brother is, without question, Tim... no one else... and especially not Damian that at this time was more of a surprise responsability thrown into Dick's back along side Gotham because there was no one else more suited for taking all of this burden at the time.

*Also, why do people forget or ignore the comic panels circulating around of Dick not taking Damian's shit when he first came with his shitty mannerism (like, I am not saying Damian deserves how he was treated because he is still just a child and I think later on he gets kicked around by other characters too much. But early Damian was too much for everyone to deal with, especially after everything went to shit when Bruce "died"; also the point of this paragraph was to point out that people ignore the panels where Dick kinda looses his patience with Damian similar to how other characters do and that he doesn't "cuddle" or "baby/parent" him... and I guess this ignorance can also be applied to the panels of that era/storyline where they display the brotherhood between Dick and Tim, that is still there even if they have "fallen appart" because of their differences).

By the way: these are some late night insomnia thoughts that I am having... they might have also come from some other posts I saw circulating around Tumblr... though me guesses this is nothing new in the DC fandom... the point is that I cannot sleep and I am bored and have too much energy despite feeling tired. so that's why I am where... also, sorry if something in my rant is wrong,, it was been a while since i read this story.. but i guess i got almost everything right that i needed for ma point.. at least me hopes i did

Hi there!! I have a small question, that might be a little weird, but I hope you’ll find it interesting!If you could illustrate the way you feel music, how would you draw it?

To illustrate the way you feel about music…

That’s a big question Anon! Not that it’s weird or anything, but oh the feelings! The colors! Each song can have a different feeling, therefore a different illustration.

For example: The way I would illustrate “Cotten Candy by Kikuo” would have lots of contrasting colors, mainly pink and a few other colors. The pink part being the Cotten candy, while everything else swirled around to suffocate that pink. If you listen to the song (which I recommend that you do), there’s a lot of sounds, lots of noises that suffocates the melody, all you can hear is the descending tone as it feels like your falling deeper and deeper. Clashing musical notes and sounds could be illustrated with clashing colors, splatted colors, colors that should NOT be there. I would also create a swirling pattern to give off the feeling of falling! Perhaps even use a sponge or some Cotten to dab some pink everywhere, to give off that fluffiness of the Cotten candy!

In contrast, what would I illustrate for “Claire de Lune by Debussy”? The song is calm, melancholic, beautiful, elegant. The main color that I would pick would be a grayish blue, with hints of gold and silver to give off that elegancy. Maybe even add a more vibrant blue on top of that grayish blue? Oh the colors!

What I’m saying is that there’s a lot of ways that you could illustrate music. So much so that trying to type it into words seems chaotic! I can’t type it into words. Thankfully, a picture is worth a thousand, maybe I can show it to you that way.

there's something about how we saw buck entering the diaz house in 5x13 and interacting with both chris and eddie separately and how we saw eddie coming home to a buck who just finished drawing with chris but not the three of them together there in 5x14 that makes me think that we will definitely finally be seeing them together at the diaz house, their home, when eddie comes back from texas. if feels like they weren't ready before, that eddie will need to say what he has to say and close a chapter in his life with his parents and his younger self and that buck need to set himself (and taylor) free from that soul crushing relationship where they were miserable for the entirety of it before they both get reunited with chris, the most beautiful, pure, genuine, peaceful part of their lifes. the first scene of the season of the three of them alone in the place that they made their home is going to be so meaningful. and what is more fitting than eddie coming home to the confort of his two favorite people after the turmoil that will be texas?

I get assuming good faith but it also should apply to how you treat Anons. That response felt very mean out of nowhere. You get a lot of hostile asks and I think it's fair to respond to those that way but not towards people who are trying to be on your side. It's only going to further alienate you.

I guess the thing is it wasn’t hostile from my side. Like it was not meant to be hostile in anyway towards that anon. I was elaborating on why I was upset with the fandom and furthering the point anon made of not having to agree with what I say.

I know now that the anon felt it was hostile and apologized for it but when I was writing it I had zero intentions of having it feel hostile.

honestly, for me is still very weird that fob is actually coming back with a new album. they have been "gone" for almost 5 years. I think is even longer than the hiatus. I've been waiting for new music, but now that is all becoming official kinda feels like a dream
