kind of funny that the kids are loosely based on eevee characters I had when I was little....🥺

What were your thoughts on thoughts on nwjns omg? I thought the song is okay and the mv to be pretty offensive at times. Like I see what it was trying to do but also it missed for me. I thought the outfits were interesting except the hospital gowns I erased from my memory. I'm wondering if the mv was meant to criticize toxic fans? Bc if that's the case why put them in a mental hospital??? I'm just confused.
since i've got two asks about this now i guess i better say something lol. i don't like it. i understand what it was trying to do and i think there could be an interesting approach there in terms of deconstructing the 'world' that idols and fans inhabit and now that intersects with the 'real' world, but frankly the execution was distasteful. it's trivializing of mental illness and the things like the tweet at the end very much read as a lashing out against people who have valid criticisms of how the group has been handled so far. obvs i don't think there's any issue with trying to make a 'deep' kpop mv, and to some extent i understand wanting to hit back at people who are dismissive of the intellectual thought put into making art, but in this case it just reads as childish, not meta.

I thought about adaptations some more and remembered about the american death note and how awful it was and so yeah if an adaptation ignores a very specific cultural or social context in order to appeal to a wider/mainstream audience, especially if it’s whitewashing characters of color or trying to make non-western characters more palatable for white americans, then that’s a trash adaptation

Did not buy, but adored this handmade Ditto plate.
A book printed in 1899 with an essay by Frederick the Great that came home with me! Entirely in German except for the intro, but I'd never seen a book printed in actual blackletter font before! I think this specific one is Fraktur! Typesetting is my first love so obvs I had to have this.
Found at Value Village, Vancouver BC

I don't watch the life series, but from what I'm getting from the BigB Task Situation is this iteration still potentially has boogies, just with an extra step
For sure! I don't think it's Boogeys in the same way obvs, but 'randomly assigned detrimental task' is very much the same line of thinking as 'randomly assigned murder task'.
It seems like there's four options, and I don't know which I believe, or even which is more likely:
BigB screwed up his resource pack install specifically, Grian wrote one poorly considered task, and coincidence has decided to rear its ugly head. Evo hints are because Grian is still fundamentally the same person and he likes making big ominous statues tell people to solve little riddles and puzzles for prizes.
BigB's actual task was to dig a big hole, but the red envelope wasn't an accident. Red envelope tasks are special in that they suck/require antisocial behavior. The Evo stuff is ditto 1, just coincidence because it's made by the same guy and every storyteller has their favored elements.
The red envelope tasks are some kind of Plot Thing or communication from an entity opposed to the Secret Keeper, as mentioned in my big red string theory post. Evo hints here point to some kind of plot.
He's lying to us. BigB actually had a different, more detrimental task to complete, and 'dig a big hole. all the way down' is a decoy task ala Amongus. This would be the most similar to Boogeyman, where there's a secret mechanic but not necessarily any 'lore' beyond that. Evo hints are just included to prompt audience doubt and investigation, slightly more intentional than in 1/2 but not leading anywhere as in 3.
