im the host of a system thats currently going through some upheaval, the inner world was just completely redone and is even larger than it used to be, everyone is seperate from each other now (but can still go between each others homes, were just not on top of each other in a shared hallway)

ive been noticing that my alters are all somewhat distresses right now, theyre not doing anything dangerous but theyre all feeling incredibly...lost? i guess? they feel like their purposes aren't needed anymore, like we dont need an alter for sex work because we dont do that now and are in a monogamous relationship. or they just, wanna redo themselves almost?

is there any way for me to facilitate this? or help them i guess? we have a pretty bad relationship honestly, my adult alters strongly dislike/borderline hate me honestly, which is making it hard for me to help them, but they also dont seem to want help?

Hello.  Thank you for your encouragement.  If some members of your system are experiencing distress but don’t really want your direct help, maybe helping indirectly by providing an opportunity for them to have input and increased communication through writing to one another may increase their sense of purpose by focusing their energy on a common task of understanding and cooperation. This could also give them an opportunity to share regarding any distress they may be feeling, and if there are any issues related to this, of which you may not br aware. They would also have a space to state ideas to be considered in working toward compromises that might be achieved to maybe improve their sense of wellbeing. If you’re interested, Oz and Ozzie’s system have posted some journals and workbooks to help improve system communication and working cooperatively toward some common goals here. It may not happen that the members of your system who are currently experiencing distress are the first to participate in these writing activities; however, as they see others participate, they may be inclined to join.  As your system’s communication improves, your overall relationship with the others may change in a positive way as well.  I hope this helps some.  I wish you well.

i'm so impressed by how he got blindsided by a Full Lore Mode angry q!bad and kept his cool, and worked to communicate, and admitted when qbad had a good idea about the voting (qbad could NEVER), and went and got Cellbit when he realized the language barrier was too much. absolute king shit over there. like here he is trying to legit make the server better on a meta level and gets blindsided by q!bad's lore problems and he rolled with it so so well. he's doing legit such a good job for the server

and this is like- me being a bad fan, and i know it was an accident, but im very grateful to him for how that shook out. every time bad starts to get a little lore moment or something dramatic for his storyline, it fizzles out or gets overtaken by something else. cc!bad has been doing a great job with his storytelling/roleplaying and building up a narrative of feeling unappreciated/like a helping object instead of a person (and i could GUSH about the parallels between qbad and qforever and how they recognized those feelings in each other) but!! the point is that cc!forever did it. even accidentally. he created a catalyst event that could finally get my favourite little cubito off of his rocker (FINALLY), and bad is a good person to get off of his rocker. this is going to be a gorgeous little storyline that i am going to enjoy so so much. forever wanted to do good for the server and the story and by god he has done it

Alloaro culture is wanting a similar word to qpr for a committed partner you have sex with sometimes that is not romantic: qpr isn’t right because it has the word platonic in it.

from the POV of someone who's been around the aro community since ~2013-2014 on tumblr, the only time i've seen folks start to say that qprs couldn't include sexual components has been when

they've learned an incorrect definition of QPRs, or

in one particularly notable case, the individual proposing it turned out to be quite sex negative and upset at the mere thought that people could think that qprs could include sexual activity. this individual suggested an alternative term for individuals desiring sex in QPRs in a rather explicitly alloarophobic measure. when gently called out from what had seemed to be a genuine attempt at coining a new term, the above came to light. smaller cases of this pop up every once in a while, but this one got some notoriety.

queerplatonic was always meant to mean "queering the idea of a platonic relationship", "queering the idea of what a relationship means", and by explicit definition, has always been broadly and radically inclusive. any relationship, so long as the partners involved agree it is a queerplatonic one, is queerplatonic. no exceptions. this can mean it involves romance, sex, traditionally platonic elements, and anything and everything those involved desire out of it.

tldr; the word platonic is in queerplatonic to say it is counter to the idea of a restricted "platonic" relationship.

Onto the bingo: well. he’s The quintessence of gender™ to me. and i relate to him so so much. fav character of all time fr. i want to carry him in my pocket at all times & study him. like. do i want to BE him OR am i IN LOVE with him, ykwim? pssh who knows? certainly not me. uh-huh ‘a beast unleashed’ -does this refer to me or him? you choose. oh re: canon, i’m ignoring the part where holmes dies (or y’know, is dead for 3 years). that’s too angsty.

To be honest, I really could've make Micah work in the astronomy field as an astronaut and other related positions, as xyr adoptive father inspired xem to be, and just make xem be incredibly intelligent as so many well known protagonists were, but there's something so... humanly realistic and painfully relatable in giving xem a dream that xe always wanted to achieve, but couldn't in the end because of xyr conditions, especially with xyr intellectual disability being the biggest barrier.

Micah was raised in the wild with very little socialization and learning opportunities for two years by the Incarnation of Earth who couldn't be and verbally communicate with xem in its vessel ( to protect Micah from forming deep emotional attachment with it in case xe got taken away ) before Micah accidentally burnt xyr home down and got taken away by the first responder team to the hospital. For three years then until the Everlove took xem in, Micah moved in between many foster families, with some being abusive and / or neglectful, and from the multiple stressful changes and treatments, this significantly impacted the Starwake System's social, emotional, and cognitive developments. In addition, developing Dissociative Identity Disorder, they experience dissociative symptoms that would hinder their learning and processing, such as amnesia and dissociation.

But the Starwake System having intellectual disability was especially difficult for Micah to accept when it prevented xem from being able to study in and entirely understand the subjects and knowledge that are required to work in the astronomy field. Micah had to leave xyr classroom to be placed in a special educational class when xe was nine years old and xe didn't understand why, but at ten, xe was appalled when xe had a discussion about xyr special education with xyr parents that led to xem learning about xyr dissociative symptoms and intellectual disability, and this was also when Micah was told xe likely couldn't be able to become an astronomer and astronaut like xyr adoptive father due to the complexity of the topics centred in astronomy.

As an attempt to try to prove xyr parents wrong, Micah secretly tried to take physics and chemistry on xyr third year of high school, but had to drop out a few weeks later when the school and xyr parents were concerned of xyr poor grades and performances. Micah had to take alternative courses and catch up with the weeks old lessons. The catch up game and the fact that xe couldn't do astronomy required subjects caused xyr depression to worsen since starting high school. It doesn't help that xyr childhood best friend, Adoniram, who also wanted to be an astronaut, was able to do and complete them even with the highest grades of his classes. Micah wouldn't even be able to become an aviator at least either, so feeling as xe was forever trapped in the world, xe held a highly strong self-hatred for xyr disabilities until xe was twenty two and accepted this part of xemself with the help of therapy.

Although Micah took creative writing on the third year and this increased xyr love in the art of writing before xe had a revelation xe could be a creator in arts, literature, and drama instead. Micah had to attend summer school of the same year to improve on xyr grades and took previous grade courses that xe didn't have before, so xe could be accepted in an arts university. Micah was able to enroll in one and get both of xyr associate and bachelor degree. Over time, xe became successful and was able to find joy in arts the way that outer space does. While xe may not be able to be with the stars, Micah has still been grateful that despite xyr conditions, xe could still create what would empower and inspire people, creating xyr own stars in the world that people can see only hope and love in.

(Róisín) This, along with many other topics that the article discussed, was what helped me learn more and better realize that what I truly supported was not the "reformist movement from within the system, fronted by people who cannot live with the guilt of locking us up, but are still perfectly happy to dismiss" (Róisín) the voices of some of the most disenfranchised and vulnerable groups of people that I've learned that the word "anti-psychiatry" truly encompassed, but rather, the complete abolishment of this corrupt and discriminatory system, like many others that I am staunchly opposed to, such as Capitalism, systemic police violence, and the likes. I've decided to share this with you all so I can give you all the gift of knowledge just as I had been given, and, through the sword of knowledge, do what I can to help better both the world and its people.
