"Papa told me I remind father of someone he misses. I will live up to that."
It's tough being the oddball out, son to the city's, Baldur's Gate, father of Innovation and the Fanciest Bard of Cormyr, Caelan McClain has some shoes to fill. His love for firearms passed down from his late aunt, whose memory is faded but her legacy lives on in his creations. He's having a hard time making friends, not a lot of people appreciate the brains it takes to build a gun. But he'll surely wear someone down.
Please give a respectable wave to the party's Artificer. A Quandrix student, of course. (Don't touch him though he does not like physical contact)

Paladin: I said don’t be seen!
Artificer: [rigging up 300 pounds of explosives] no, you said leave no trace.

Hijack movie au: In which Jack was there all along. Trust me it happened. If we believe it hard enough then it’s canon, that’s how it is, we don’t make the rules. The man in the moon does, and he says gay rights. He might have asshole behaviors but being homophobic is not one of them

"I'm going to make so many friends mom! Don't you worry, I'm your kid after all!" -- Ido Song
Hailing from retired adventurers in Neverwinter. Ido is a bubble of positive energy. Following closely in his mom's footsteps of going to Strixhaven as well, Ido is going full steam ahead to make her proud. Any trepidations he had leaving his mom behind at her shop were quickly solved with meeting friends and excitedly going into college with a big smile. An Early Summer baby makes Ido a Cancer in our party. He's our Lorehold Barbarian who gives the best hugs.
Fun facts: He is the youngest of his family (he has a dad and half older sister who are also adventurers) and he's gone nearly unconscious twice in 4 sessions.

one of my favorite things about witch king is that it starts with the classic fantasy trope of "a wizard awaking an Ancient Horror from a Secret Creepy Tomb, attempting to use it for their own ambitions but accidentally unleashing Terrible Power"
and then the ancient horror turns out to be just some guy who got kidnapped and stuck in there for like, 6 months so he'd be out of the way for a big political summit. like, he's powerful enough that getting him out of the way required a Secret Creepy Tomb designed to hold Ancient Horrors, but it's not like he's been locked there for centuries because of his Terrible Power (as I initially suspected). no, this was literally just to interfere with a political alliance
