God do you ever think about how the world of darkness and violence, especially but not exclusively Will's darkness and violence, is represented by water throughout Hannibal? How when Will is at his most feverish and almost kills Abel Gideon in s1, he's constantly hallucinating water flowing from places? How he dreams of a glacier breaking? How he imagines his prison sink overflowing with blood when he tries to have Hannibal murdered? How Bedelia lays in the bath and imagines herself submerged when she's with Hannibal in Italy? How Will's final and most honest act is to plunge himself and Hannibal headfirst into the ocean together?
Water (and sometimes great amounts of blood in the place of water) is darkness and violence. It's Hannibal's world. It's the overflowing desire to harm. It's also, in its representation of violence, Will's true self and true desire for that violence. And he throws himself into it when he takes Hannibal in his arms after killing Dolarhyde.
But more than that, for his entire life, Will's place of safety has been boats. Never far from the water, but never into it. Always floating along just on the surface—that was Will Graham's safe place and his world before he met Hannibal.

hey instead of bullying or scaring you into switching to firefox, let me tell you why i LOVE firefox and how my online life has improved significantly since installing it
- the setup process is easy, and even fun! if you’re using tumblr rn, you can handle it, and if you’re the kind of tumblr user who likes customizing your blog or tinkering with xkit, you can have a lot of fun personalizing really granular settings and picking themes and extensions and everything, it’s very customizable and i happily spent like 2 hours getting everything perfect.
- you can use a command line entry tool to change specific settings right from the search bar! i did this to make firefox stop auto filling my email information since i use a different password locker (which you should too! try bitwarden!), and it was easier than digging through a bunch of submenus for a setting i wasn’t sure existed. you can just turn shit off!
- there’s a preset theme called aurora that’s purple and VERY pretty
- once you get ublock origin and as many other blockers as you’d like set up, no ads, anywhere, ever! streaming sites, youtube, all the basics, totally no stress and no compatibility issues for me
- in browser screenshot and picture in picture functions!! holy shit i use these every day, the PiP is especially helpful, it replaced an extension i used to use on chrome and it’s leagues better and works on all video content pretty much
- overall better downloads management imo, it’s a lot easier to get to your downloads and find them later
- better bookmark system, with the ability to organize your bookmarks with searchable tags and assign them a shortcut you can type into the search bar to go to
- containers! you can have two accounts to the same website open in two different tabs and switch between them without having to switch accounts. also gives firefox the ability to contain facebook and their trackers, so you can click that party invite link without feeling like you just let mark zuckerberg into your house
these were just off the top of my head, i love firefox a lot and actively enjoy using it, which i never felt with chrome! please download firefox!! you will not regret it!!! where’s your fucking rage!!!!!! go!!!!!!!!!

He gently encases your frame and digs his hands into a wound whilst giving you plenty of face smooches, gliding his tongue over your shoulders before leaving bite marks stained with blood all over.
If he could, silly guy might rip open your chest to kiss your heart tenderly before setting it back into your ribcage, maybe still holding it.
Merge bodily souls with your or smth.
I'm kicking my feet, punching the air, giggling to a phantom over this rn.
But he can't, cause silly guy Cannibalism stalker!nikolai doesn't want you dead but he has urges so he settles for biting you hard enough to draw blood (●’∇’)♪
And even better, he's doing all of this with his hand intertwined with yours at the end of it.
And then, being romantic fanatic, he is (he is not, I think). He's bites around the base of your pinky finger, placing a morally and physically questionable bind that applies to you even though you're silly asleep and didn't say yes, but you will when you're awake.
When his teeth leave the flesh, prominent markings can be seen etched onto it, serving his own delusions. However, it's, of course, not something drastic.
It's a simple 'you'll never leave me' because he's silly and insane like that (he'll kill you if you do).
Ajjdndnfjsknajfjdbfjfj meow.
Being the silly clown he is, he obviously doesn't clean up the split blood just yet.
He lets your blood drip and seeps into the pristine white sheets of his blanket before smiling like some maniacal happy face clown because you are now imprinted onto his belongings as well.
Due to sanitary purposes, he would of course change the sheets and clean you up before snuggling to you and drift off to lala land to dream about ripping your body to chunks, piecing you back together so that he can obviously soak into your blood and fully, in physical form merge with you.

I feel like we’re in a duke drought rn 😭 any advice on how to make it through?
i know 😭 duke tag has basically No duke every time i check it to queue something. and hes already neglected in DC comics. heres what we can all do to help this drought:
Make posts!! go read a comic and make some comments, observations, or jokes on tumblr.com. go make some art of your favourite moment, or just a character design of him, or anything! any effort counts, low effort memes or gorgeous art and everything in between
Write fic!!! this is in addition to the above, but we could always use more duke-centric fics! post a link on tumblr too- heck, tag me in it & ill reblog it
On that note, go re-read your favourite duke fics and give them a comment! fics authors love comments, dont feel shy if the fic is like 3 years old or whatever, comment!!!!! and also go read new duke fics but i assume you already do that if youre here
Go dig up your favourite duke posts (ive reblogged a lot if you feel like going through my archive) and reblog them again! spread the word!

On to the actual update:
So I've made a lot of progress with Flipside worldbuilding lately. I don't wanna spoil everything but highlights so far include: Alma has a completely different moveset and appearance now; I'm bringing back a veryyy old OC named PJ (she/it) who is black, sapphic and so tired of some other OCs' bullshit; cosmic amounts of hubris; Landon is finally getting a new outfit; a lot of places and terms are getting name changes, including the AU itself probably.
All of these changes mean that Flipside stuff is officially on hiatus rn. I kinda said that before at some point but I'm repeating it because now it's on hiatus in a good way and I'm not complaining. I'm making a ton of lore changes for the better but they also mean that some WIPs straight up aren't possible anymore, at least not in their current form. I'm currently brainstorming about what kinda new plots I could write about.
I haven't forgotten about digging through the Genshin backlog and posting some of those stories, I've just been doing other stuff but I can probably get around to it soon. It turns out that I'm really digging this whole "just log into Tumblr once or twice per day" thing... Yk besides discord I don't use any social media consistently now? It's doing wild things to my brain

Hi!! I love everything on your blog (best takes I've seen and also hottest OCS) and I am looking for a post. I have been digging around for like three hours. Because tumblr's search function is SO good.
I'm certain I saw it here and I'm at least 60% sure it was originally your post. It was about the In Hushed Whispers timeline and the Inquisitor and Dorian getting stuck in the past for longer. There were memes about telling Cullen to die better this time, and I feel like there was a fade whirlpool? Inside jokes between inky and Dorian about the horrible stuff they saw, anyway. A thing with Josephine telling the Inquisitor to stop telling people "those were literally your last words in the other timeline."
I need this post because I'm writing a fic and I would like to base some things on it, in an inspiration way, with my own Inquisitor if that's okay? And, you know, assuming I'm right and it was your post in the first place. There's like... Two other people it might be and I'm gonna go dig through their blogs as well. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me locate it, but no pressure obviously.

"Babies??!!!" Jake called loudly as he set his gym bag down at the door. "Girls?!"
Jake had begun to get scared. There was no noise in the house at all, but to his relief, two little red-headed girls poked their heads up from the baby gate that had been closed at the top of the stairs, Missy in her little bright pink sundress and Molly in her denim shorts and American flag tank top.
"Girlies, why are you up there?" Jake asked them.
"Mommy sent us up here because we were running," Missy replied.
"Were you supposed to be?"
Both girls shook their heads 'no'.
Jake felt pretty bad. You had been studying for hours, trying to get through all the bureaucratic bullshit that had piled up during the week, but he also felt terrible that the girls hadn't been able to get outside much. "Gimme two minutes babies and I'll be back," he told them.
He found you in the home office, still studying, looking like utter hell and probably in the throes of a migraine episode. You felt his arms snake right around your shoulders, his lips on the nape of your neck and that deep drawl in his voice breaking you from your trance.
"Have they been out to play yet?" Jake asked you.
"Not that I know of," you groaned. "Your dad called earlier in the day and told me he couldn't take the girls because your mom was sick. I meant to but I've got way too much going on."
"My queen," Jake said. "You are stressing yourself out. I'll take the girls out and you do what you need to do. But the minute I get back, I want you upstairs in a hot bath with a lavender towel over your eyes and a mai thai in your hand. Got it?"
"Loud and clear Lieutenant," you chuckled halfheartedly.
"Alright," Jake said, turning back towards the stairwell. "Oh babies??!!! Who wants to go to Uncle Bobby's?!"
"We do!!! We do!!!"
"Alright, go get your shoes, your towels and your swim stuff."
You relaxed a little upon hearing the loud thumping of little feet on the floor above you. Thank God your husband had come home in the nick of time.

The smell of the charcoal briquette wafted high into the air along with the smell of cooking hot dogs and hamburgers. Payback had already brought Geneva and Neveah over as soon as he had picked them up from his parents while Coyote had made his way over with Carla, Paloma and Tiago. A small, portable radio was perched on the deck table, turned onto a classic rock station while Bob tended to the grill.
"Uuuuugh this sucks," Coyote groaned as he flopped into the hammock.
"What does?" Bob asked him. "A hooker in the front seat giving head? Or you when it comes to handling intense G-force during practice?"
Coyote lazily flipped him off, Bob chuckling as he turned over a few of the hot dogs. "I swear Carla and Paloma weren't this bad. This little midget on the other hand......is not a child......he is a straight up ten.....on the Richter Scale."
"Oh one of those?" Bob chuckled again with a naughty shit-eating grin.
"I mean it Bob," Coyote told him. "If he doesn't eat every three hours....."
"Yeah and Auggie's the same way," Bob informed him. "Except with sleep. We feed him once in the morning, once in the afternoon and before you know it, kid has a full belly and he's out like a light till dinner."
Coyote groaned again, running his hands over his face in frustration as Payback laughed.
Bob craned his head a little, leaning over the deck rail to keep an eye on his nieces digging in the sand nearby when his phone suddenly vibrated. He looked at the screen and sure enough, there was Hangman's name with a message.
H- On our way over, (y/n) is stressing out and girlies need to run wild
Bob quickly replied back, letting him know that it was perfectly ok to come over but the girls had to stay outside until August and Tiago woke up from their naps.
"He coming?" Payback asked, digging a beer out of the cooler.
"Bagman will be over in a minute, he's bringing the girls," Bob answered.
"What about Phoenix?" Coyote asked.
"Can't make it," Bob answered. "She had to run all the way from the base to go to get Gabe, his teacher sent him home after he caught hand-foot-and-mouth from another kid."
Payback and Coyote groaned in disgust. Geneva and her sister had already had it once and that was enough for any of them.
It wasn't long before they all heard the familiar flip-flop of sandals slapping the rough-shod path through the woodline and saw Jake emerging with the girls. "Alright my loves, go play with your cousins," he told them.
Molly and Missy ran straight to Paloma and Carla, nearly tackling them into the sand. Jake joined the other three on the deck, desperately looking like he needed a beer.
"How's it hangin Bagman?" Bob asked him.
"Low like a bison's balls," he answered. "You got a cold one?"
"Cooler."
Payback handed him a fresh Sam Adams from the cooler, the cap popping right off before Jake took a swig. "I feel bad," he said.
"Why's that?" Bob asked.
"(Y/n) hasn't stopped studying since I got home from the gym," Jake explained. "She's all stressed out from the testing she has to do and of course my mom's still got bronchitis."
"Hey if she needs a quiet place she could've come here," Bob offered.
"Even with Auggie?"
"Kid sleeps as soon as he's eaten," Bob told him. "Moira feeds him at 7 in the morning and he's out till one in the after noon once he's chugged a whole bottle."
Jake made a note of it but still wasn't sure if you would have taken up the offer. "Any idea where the other miscreants are?" he asked.
"Uh let's see," Bob said, flipping over a few burgers as he tried to recall. "Rooster and Mav are doing a test flight until six, Rusty's helping Penny hanging something up at The Hard Deck....."
"What about Phoenix?" Jake asked.
"She was doing a test flight when she got a call that she needed to go get Gabe," Bob told him. "His teacher said he got hand-foot-and-mouth disease from another kid."
Jake's face contorted itself into an unpleasant grimace with a feigned gagging noise that followed. "That poor, suffering bitch," he chuckled.
The boys kept at it, griping about the day and enjoying the late afternoon barbecue when Jake's phone suddenly buzzed. He took one look at the message you had sent, you submerged in a bath with a mai thai in your hand and the foam from the bath oil covering just enough.
And it was all Jake could think about for the next hour as the kids played in the sand and the others went about their own business, coiling around his brain like an ivy vine. He couldn't wait to get home.
