Out of all the things that threw me through a loop in the mario movie, the bros taking their gloves off was the most oddly jarring. I said out loud “they have flesh hAnds!-”

#y'know among other things #beating an absolute decomposed horse here but. Chris Pratt's voice acting was somehow. worse. than I was expecting.#the um. the random real songs? Mr. Blue Sky and Thunderstruck? that was weird #the other music was WONDERFUL #I know Mario has been canonically like 25 for a while but it's still weird seeing him with his young parents and being fussy about food #and playing video games in his lil teenager bedroom #speaking of- the Mario-hates-mushrooms thing? what?#and his personality in general was just fucking weird but it would have been less jarring without the. lazy shit voice. sorry. dead horse ik #thought there'd be more luigi tbh #kamek and bowser absolutely stole the show they were fucking great #peach was generic... I didn't dislike her but. myeh. another Illumination quirky girlboss go off I guess #Donkey kong was fun actually I rly liked him #his beef with Mario was entertaining #anyway ok enough about characters #the movie was a visual feast and the action scenes were. fucking excellent. so clever.#which. says. a. One of the biggest reasons I try to recruit all the characters in Three Houses isn’t just because I don’t want to kill them, but because if I do, I still have to go back to the monastery afterward. I still have to pass by their dorm rooms full of their belongings and know that’s where they spent their alone time and where they slept. I still have to pass by the spots they frequented the most. It’s not just the sad dialogue of characters reacting to the deaths, but passing by the spots I vividly remembered them hanging out at.

I realized this most in my first playthrough when I didn’t have the chance to recruit everyone and I accidently killed Raphael at Gronder. I didn’t have the enemy attack range turned on so I didn’t realize he was in range of attacking.

During an exploration, I was looking for Ignatz who was, unfortunately, in his dorm room... and I walked into the wrong room and into Raphael’s after he was killed and man that fuckin’ sucked! Feels bad but like, multiplied with big numbers, u kno??? ???

YES, IT’S A VIDEO GAME. YES, I HAVE HUMAN BEING FEELINGS ABOUT IT.

#DCB Comments #I also didn't get to recruit Ferdie in my first playthrough which is what I mean about #characters mentioning others dying. like Dorothea saying ''we killed Ferdie'' didn't hit nearly as hard as #walking into now dead Raphael's room and seeing all his stuff still lying around the way it was left when everyone had to flee #AND THE WORST PART? it's not like I MEANT to go into his room and stew on it. I completely accidentally walked into it #because I was trying to find/talk to Ignatz who was in his own room. MIND YOU after that I made it a point to NOT #walk into Ferdie's room and have that same thought process! because like. Raphael isn't one of my faves #and it was a huge Feels BAD Man moment walking into HIS room #forget if I walked into the room of someone I loved!!! I did try to recruit him but it just didn't work fast enough #I BARELY got Caspar in that run bc it was the final month which is only two weeks and I think I actually #didn't even get him the first week. I'm pretty sure I got him on the absolute last week so literally on #the absolute last possible exploration for recruiting. I had Linhardt already so I was hellbent on getting Caspar #bc I didn't want them to have to be enemies. basically I'd watched the game online already before playing #bc I didn't own the game or a Switch for a while after the game was out. I knew the spot you fight them at #and that they're both in the same chapter as enemies if not recruited which meant that if I only got Linhardt #that Caspar would be alone as my enemy and he wouldn't even have his best buddy there AND they'd be enemies #also tho Raphael just hit hard because I may not consider him a fave at all but he was still a nice dude you know??? ??? ???#like he's just a regular nice guy vibing and like... realizing that gentle nice man was killed in war #and walking into his old room was SADS. very big sads #DCB Three Houses Stuff

going from Doctor Ned's zombie island, a dlc that was so easy and repetitive beat it in a little over a day, to General Knoxx's secret armory was one of the biggest difficulty whiplashes I've ever experienced

Brooooo I'm having so much fun doing fic research why did I ever stop (<- falls ill on a clockwork schedule).

Swear even though I hate using detailed plans I almost have a better time making them than I do the actual fic lmao.

Anyway for that time travel fic I'm going to write now I finished totk I'm trying to get a better idea of the pre calamity hyrule, which is so fun because it's entirely fictional, right? But one can INFER. One can IMPLY.

One can watch all the botw memories again and realise how dirty they did my boy link with his animations boy has the expression of a doormat. Like I'm squinting and I have no idea what he's supposed to be projecting. He seems like such a passive observer in his own memories :(.

But also the excuse to run around hyrule poking through broken down cabins and jumping off walls is great XD. I've always loved archaeology and this gives me the perfect outlet!

Like, did you know there was a big cathedral in the east side of castle town? Now there's not so much as a wall, there's no signifier at all, but that's what it's labelled as! I believe it faced south, so you would pass by it on your way out the east gate. Kind of crazy that's the original temple of time. Never seen it mentioned anywhere. It's potentially in the right place for oot, relative to the castle? I'd have to check.

Presumably it's where most ceremonies took place rather than the plateau - weddings, funerals and the like. (Coronations were almost certainly at the plateau.) Maybe it was part of a religious district? It's probably where Zelda prayed every day or every Sunday at least. Somewhere nice and public so people can see the princess being pious and filial and hard working etc etc. Poor girl.

On the opposite side, just outside the gates, is the prison, which has its own island in the moat and a little dock to fast track of the dungeons. I can imagine a lot of shiekah worked there, and it's interestingly (slightly worryingly) just across the moat from the ancient tech lab! That thing was a whole complex, it's ginormous! And razed to the foundation in a way you don't really get outside of castle town :/.

Anyway what's the point of having a whole moat if you don't even finish it off with a drawbridge?!? Seal the deal!

I'm going to have to get back to botw if I want to examine the castle proper though, totk has kinda done a number on it. Not sure how we're going to get it back down.

mumble something something thinking about how Persona 4 uses the available dialogue options as well as the social stats, the dialogue option they unlock, and what is available to Yu as hobbies and part-time work to show off his character, all without having any more detailed lines of dialogue than the dialogue options (at least until the spin-off like Dancing All Night), and how this is a pretty fascinating way to build a character while still letting the player have influence on the direction you can take him

#UH bigger than Kanji....#mumbling more while sobbing a little about Tatsuya and how despite being a silent protag in P2IS he has portraits that express his emotions #and how many little details you get to know about him that makes him silent but actively a character you can get to know #dude has some well established likes and dislikes you can't influence as the player #and yeah he speaks in P2EP but I think that's UUHHH an interesting case (still sobbing) bc he went through IS but #crying #Also Dancing All Night has Yu compare something's size to Kanji's size and I'm NOT over it #dude REALLY just saw something big and went #SiR yOu FuCkInG dOrK #can't speak about P1/3/5 because I didn't play them but Minato has a pretty expressive design that does seem to translate part of his chara #barks.txt

everything was relatively peaceful in suguru's apartment. key word: relatively.

a forgettable yet appreciated sunday afternoon, not a cloud in sight despite the weather forecast predicting downpours of rain. either way, the raven-haired man insouciantly rested across his white couch, reaching the conclusion that today would be a day for self-care, relaxing, and perhaps some meditation.

there was only one thing ruining his peace.

all morning, suguru has been forced to try and ignore the stain a certain someone has left on his couch — a pair of unecessarily expensive yet dirty shoes being the culprit.

despite these attempts, every once in a while his gaze can't help but wander over at the mark — as if it'd poof out of existence if he glared hard enough.

"fuckin' asshole.." he mutters. it was a wonder his relationship with his best friend managed to stay so promising despite all their differences, yet suguru wouldn't have it any other way, even after situations like this.

right when he grumpily turns back to the tv — which was playing some crappy, low budget rom-com — his apartment door is yanked open and suguru swears he nearly jumps out of his seat.

great, was this it? was he about to get robbed, perhaps evicted? and then probably die? forced into the afterlife knowing gojo's shoe-shit was still on his new couch? no that can't—

"i fucked her!"

suguru whips his head towards the apartment door, announcement being disregarded as he nearly groans in agony. speak of the devil.

big blue eyes peak out from under circular sunglasses, one hand already raised in preparation for a dap up while his stupid, big, dirty shoe pushes the door closed behind him. gojo wears a black compression shirt with grey sweats, marching over to his friend with a ginormous grin across his cheeks.

"take your shoes off, now," suguru snaps, nodding to his friend's feet with a frown.

"yeesh... whatever y'say, daddy," the bastard never loses his smile as his hands raise in surrender, kicking them off by the door smoothly. "what's got your panties in a twist?"

geto pinches his nose bridge. "don't call me that," as he continues the scolding, he points to the living room with his free hand. "you got a mystery stain on my couch, satoru. do you know how many youtube videos i watched trying to get this shit off?"

unphased, gojo takes a look at the strangely colored blob against the armrest's leather material and shrugs. "my bad. did you try febreeze?"

"what— no? dude, febreeze is for.." when suguru looks back up to sourly meet his gaze, he could immediately tell the white-haired man was already drifting back into la-la-land, words going in one ear and out the other. "..nevermind. why're you here?"

at the reminder, satoru seemingly brightens, head shooting back up as if he was just told he'd won the lottery.

"oh god, don't make that stupid face—" he pauses. "the fuck are you doing?" suguru might as well say goodbye to his self-care day, because now gojo was stripping in the middle of his living room, shirt thrown haphazardly onto the still-very-much-stained couch.

"just look!" suguru squints as his friend swivels around to face the wall, pushing his bangs away to get a better view of the— oh shit.

it takes the raven-haired man a second to process what he's seeing before shuffling forward, closely examining the achingly red, bulging scratch marks displayed sexily across the latter's back and shoulders. "no way.."

suguru knows the strongest sorcerer well enough to notice how he purposely didn't use reversed cursed technique on these scratches, just so it'd be obvious to anyone that caught a glimpse of what exactly occured. to his further dismay, he can already picture a smug and sweaty gojo walking around their local gym like this, proud simper on his pretty lips as he easily raises a pair of weights in his veiny hands.

a hiss escapes geto's mouth as he runs his finger down a particularly agitated one, knowing exactly how painful they could be after experiencing many hook-ups of his own. even so, satoru only licks his lips, neck craning to the side so he can pride himself in his friend's gobsmacked expression.

"damn, these are deep. you actually hit it?" suguru confirms, raising a celebratory hand.

turning back around, satoru daps him up, a massive smirk now on both their faces. "hell yeah, it was amazing."

it was impossible to predict what gojo would do next after barging through his front door — especially considering how many times he's done so — but this has to be the last thing suguru ever expected.

not that he was complaining — in fact, all of geto's temper and need for relaxation seemingly flew out the window, the feeling of proudness for his best friend overthrowing anything else.

and even if he hated to admit it, the way gojo was so eager to come over and announce his virginity loss to him was more than a little endearing, and dare he say cute.

"that's great, man. congrats." suguru leads him into the kitchen — still shamelessly shirtless — to grab them both a can of beer in celebration. while the white-haired man usually didn't get involved with any form of alcohol, this occasion was most definitely exception-worthy. "you made y/n cum too, right?"

an offended glare is shot his way. "duh, two times."

"huh. surprised you could last."
