Undertale's best line is a little cliché, a little hokey... and true.
Near the end of the game in Undertale you can examine a mirror which returns the text "in spite of everything, it's still just you." It's a quaint little callback to a mirror in the early game which will respond to being examined by simply saying "it's you."
The line has become a bit of a meme among Undertale fans, but it is also a genuinely resonant little piece of games writing. Despite everything the protagonist has been through, all the drama and comedy and bullet hell boss battles, and however much they've changed, they are still just themselves.
And that hits because it's true. A little quaint and simple, but true. How much have you changed over the course of your life? How much have you been through? How many friends have you lost, how many homes have you had, how many times have you fallen in love? How deeply have you been changed, not just by the drama and the struggle, but also by the triumps and successes, those little moments of transcendent joy?
And yet, you look in a mirror, and despite all of what you've been through, all the choices and mistakes, the triumphs and tragedies... the person staring back at you, always and forever, is still just you. And depending on who you are, that realization can be comforting, but also... genuinely devastating.
throughout her time with the pack Claire has grown into such a strong figure to the point where it's hard to correlate the Claire from before the incident to the Claire, we all know and love. This is a loving tribute to our pack alpha who had to grow up at breakneck speed in order to keep her family together.
This is a reminder that throughout all the ups and downs of life, despite all the challenges that life throws at you. Despite everything, it's still you. And it's you who we love and cherish.
