this post by @fellshish inspired me to write a little something as a reblog and now it is. a bit more than a little something so it gets its own post. why does this always happen. why. i simply cannot resist.

aziracrow angst with one archangel and one archduke being equally unhappy

"You?"

The door falls shut behind him with a loud bang, metal scratching over metal, and even after weeks in hell, Crowley still isn't used to the noise and hides his flinch with an exaggerated bow. Swallowing the dizziness, he straightens and flings himself back into his chair.

"'s me, angel. Oh, not angel anymore, is it?"

Aziraphale blinks, blinks again, and wrings his hands, turning the ring on his pinky round and round and round. In the dirty green light, he almost can't see the reddened, raw skin underneath.

"My deepest apologies, your Supreme Arseangelness," he winces when his voice breaks on angel, picking up the previously discarded bottle and taking a swig. "So, what d'ya want?"

After his question, the room grows quiet, the demons' moaning and shuffling a faded buzz, and while the Dark Council did insist on him changing his clothes, there were no requirements except 'well, evil and- and demony'. So—keeping the ever-changing temperatures in mind—he switched his usual attire for a calf-long black coat over a deep burgundy shirt, his polished high-heeled boots reflecting the light as he sprawls and the skirt ruffles and flows.

With one leg stretched out over the armrest, he regards Aziraphale through lidded eyes. He might not seem particularly present, but he would never let his guard down in hell—fuck, not even on earth.

(Not anymore. His flat was too empty and quiet, the bookshop too—well, the point is, he left.)

Aziraphale's suit is pristine, practically glowing surrounded by hell's filth, and swirling gold markings are framing his face; definitely new, Crowley decides, and entirely too attractive. Biting his lip, Aziraphale steps closer, arms pressed tightly against his body, while his eyes roam over Crowley's.

"As the new Supreme Archangel, it is only polite to introduce myself to the new duk—" he interrupts himself, his knuckles turning white, and suddenly his eyes are everywhere but on him. "I didn't know it was you, Crowley, I swear."

There is almost a tinge of desperation in his words, and he cannot decide whether to be annoyed or comforting. The urge to keep him safe will never fade; it has not wavered even once in six thousand years, and he doubts it will start now. Then again, he did warn him, didn't he?

For six thousand years, just to be forced to watch him leave anyway.

Crowley empties the bottle and throws it against the nearest wall, watching it break, shatter, crumble to dust, and sink into the floor. Hell is his to shape, yet it also shapes him, he realises, when his annoyance switches to anger.

He pushes himself upright under Aziraphale's wide-eyed gaze and closes the distance between them with a handful of wide steps. Swallowing a wave of tears, Crowley looks at him, unblinking, and waits until a familiar look of furious defiance settles on Aziraphale's face.

Now they're getting somewhere.

Earth is nothing without him on it, not just boring but driving him properly insane with the emptiness expanding around him; London had turned into the centre of a black hole, sucking him. When he couldn't take it anymore, descending back to hell had been surprisingly easy.

"Now you know," he hisses, low and long, his teeth sharp, his eyes fully golden, "so you can leave."

"But-"

"But what? Do you need something from me?" And, ohh, he does feel the alcohol now, loosening his split tongue and pushing emotions to the surface. "First you discard me, now you come back to demand my help?"

"Crowley, I didn't-"

"It's Archduke of Hell for you, and this audience is over."

A part of him had hoped that maybe allowing the anger to escape, to take form and turn his words into knives, would make him less heartbroken, yet all it is doing now is ripping badly healed wounds wide open. Seeing him, hearing him, smelling, tasting him in the stale air—it is too much. Not enough. Both.

His throne welcomes him back as he stumbles onto it, another bottle appearing in his outstretched hand, and with a snap ringing through the room, the door slams open.

Aziraphale watches him with tight lips, but he does not try to argue, does not chase after him, does not say anything, does not do anything.

Instead, he does what he can apparently do best now—he turns around and leaves.

For the very first time since his arrival, Crowley channels his anger into the walls of hell, stomping down any moral qualms as he listens to the increasing pitch of pain echoing through the halls.

It doesn't help, but neither did coming back, nor did talking to him. All he can do is lift the bottle to his lips once more and wait.

I’m finally home now so I guess it’s time for my Joker Out Utrecht gig report

- I had to wake up at an ungodly hour to catch my trains and the JO traveling curse really chose to fuck me over that day. My original 3 hour train journey turned into a 6 1/2 hour nightmare of delays and unexpected route changes. In the end I made it and I mean it was totally worth it!!

- i was going alone again and I expected to make new friends (like the last time as well) which I did! I met so many amazing people, finally got to know some of my mutuals and I can‘t wait to see (almost) all of you on Sunday again! 🫶🏻

- the queuing situation was a bit chaotic (GA) and before the doors opened I felt like passing out at one point cause we were all just smushed together and the air was so bad you couldn’t really breathe

- Raciks art looked so small on the big stage but it is so beautiful!

- Lorem Ipsum was so good!! I haven’t really checked them out before hand but I was positively surprised. The singer has a really beautiful voice and she was getting a little emotional seeing the reaction from the crowd, which I thought was so cute. Some of their songs already made it into my playlist. I can only recommend checking them out. (Even tho I have to admit they sound *way* better live)

- JC Stewart was also very entertaining. His voice is so good omg.

- seeing the boys on stage again was just as surreal as the last time but I loved every second of it.

- first of all the outfits. Like Bojans Shirt. With the fucking lipstick stain. I’m deceased (Lets all thank Maike for the beautiful Shirt). Kris very very good fitting pants were also a highlight of the night. And Jure wearing eyeliner again 😩 holy moly

- Bojan sounded so sick. It doesn’t really come off like that in the videos but you could really hear it live.

- The setlist was nice, I got all of my favorites so I can’t really complain. But sadly no Demoni scream and no NGVOT :((

- Kris was actively working against me this time. Everytime I’d taken my phone out to take a video of him, he fucking disappeared and everytime I was just enjoying the show he stood right in front of me. (Baby I need visual reminders that I saw you 😭)

- I enjoyed the prolonged version of UM and it was nice seeing Bojan in the crowd but the only thing going through my mind was: „This man is so short“ But I love my short king <3

- Kris trying to place the dutch flag on his microphone stand was so cute. The way he looked at it to make sure it wasn’t falling off 😩

- Hearing Everybody’s waiting live for the first time really made me emotional af. That was something I was expecting but damn. I can relate to that song way too much, so it hit me hard. Also Bojan asking us something along the lines of „do you also have panic attacks?“ and the crowd went screaming „yeahh“ and he was like „yuhu let’s go panic attacks“ idk I thought that was funny

Overall I‘m very happy that I went to that gig and I can’t wait for Cologne and Munich!

Joker Out ‘Live From Arena Stožice’ - A triumph of unquestionable talent, youthful enthusiasm and dedicated work

“Aha, that Slovenian band from Eurovision. Cute guys, but their music is for kids.” Nearly every attempt at explaining the quickly growing phenomenon Joker Out to those older and less informed gets stuck on this kind of reaction.

After the concert album “Live from Arena Stožice”, published by Virgin Records, and a rockumentary of the same name, directed by Mark Pirc, everything will be much clearer and hopefully there won’t be anyone who needs convincing that this Slovenian five-piece have emerged as the most exciting young pop rock band in the wider region, for now maybe even the only ones of their generation capacitated for the biggest venues in the post-Yugoslav area. This is a complete 90-minute recording of their triumphant concert in Ljubljana with 12,000 backing vocals and the right material for a major label deal, which nobody from these parts has been able to do in such a short period.

Yes, of course, Joker Out makes music for kids, or more precisely music for girls, as they always make up a majority of their audience. Photo and video documentation obtained from Stožice doesn’t differ from what was recorded a few weeks later at the Zagreb concerts in Tvornica Kulture, where the only older faces in the crowd were the security guards, accredited reporters and some caring mothers who didn’t want to leave their darling alone in the crowd under any circumstance.

Everything that happens with this band looks like an endless highschool party fueled by high-spirited youthful rock. However, the fact that Joker Out’s music is magnetically attractive to only girls isn’t a handicap, but a huge initial advantage, both in Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade, as well as London and Manchester. The mass teenage hysteria once similarly helped Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, the early Beatles and T.Rex, and more recently Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys, with whom rock was briefly youthful again.

On home turf, the famous new wave became quite an important factor of pop culture when it won over a highschool aged audience, and became an exceptionally profitable discographic investment when in big cities it reached even the upper classes in elementary school. In later stages, due to the unlucky combination of unfortunate demographic and discographic processes, we ran out of young bands as well as the youngest audience. Since there were no adequate regional responses to Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys, a defeatist way of thinking prevailed in the rock world, saying that new generations are generally uninterested in bands with guitars.

Joker Out sprinted into that empty space and simply smashed it. Eurovision was the launching pad for their international career, but the foundation for a sold out Stožice Arena was built two years prior when the band filled Cvetličarna, a venue with a capacity of up to 2000 people, with their debut album ‘Umazane misli’. In terms of the Slovenian rock scene those were already big numbers and irrefutable proof that the winners of Špil Liga in 2016 became serious players in the meantime.

After a phenomenally successful regional and European tour it was Arena Stožice’s turn, so by October Bojan Cvjetićanin, Jure Maček, Kris Guštin, Jan Peteh and Nace Jordan had the required number of played matches and enough confidence in them to transfer all of their current published songs to a concert album, meaning 23 songs in total. So, that includes the complete material from the ‘Umazane misli’ and ‘Demoni’ studio albums, two last years hits,’Carpe Diem’ and ‘Sunny Side of London’, as well as their first song back from their highschool days, ‘Kot srce, ki kri poganja’. When planning some kind of festival gig, they could make a selection and pick out their hits, but at an ambitiously planned 90-minute solo performance they had to play all they have and be very careful not to make a mistake in the song setlist.

For a furious opening, effectively complimented by the guest brass players, the chosen song was their recent single ‘Sunny Side of London’, the only song performed in English. Live it sounds like a final confirmation that Joker Out is an international band and like an excellent announcement for their upcoming spring European tour. The next song is ‘Gola’, the first out of many old favourites and the ultimate Slovenian teenager hit, which started a rarely seen euphoria in the audience.

After that the whole arena thunderously sings along with Bojan to ‘Bele sanje’, ‘Plastika’ and ‘Dopamin’ and ‘Demoni’, and the accumulated energy is just transferred from one song to the next without any oscillation. In the middle part of the concert, however, you can feel that Joker Out’s repertoire lacks a few more punchy songs. At least the fans won’t mind that at all, because with a flashback to their debut song ‘Kot srce, ki kri poganja’ they got an exclusive opportunity to watch and listen to the ex rhythm section with the drummer Matic Kovačič and bassist Martin Jurkovič. Less impressive are the extended versions of ‘Metulji’ and ‘Vem da greš’, where the compact three-minute forms from the first album are extended with guitar solos and stretched out into the too long six-minute versions. The ending of the concert, in which ‘Tokio’, ‘Umazane misli’, their new concert single ‘Ne bi smel’, generational anthem ‘Novi val’ and their biggest hit ‘Carpe Diem’ were incorporated, was performed flawlessly. Joker Out is at the level of the assignment, and ‘Live from Arena Stožice’ is the most complete edition. This concert album represents a triumph of unquestionable talent, youthful enthusiasm and dedicated work, but there’s something else at play.

Fifteen years ago the run-down Kino Šiška, a former iconic meeting place for punks of Ljubljana, was thoroughly remodelled and turned into the city's alternative culture institute. Ten years ago Kino Šiška announced a competition for highschool bands and started Špil Liga, regularly funded by the city. In the third season, Joker Out won Špil Liga. Today, Ljubljana has a band that it can proudly send to every European metropole. Their concert in Helsinki sold out three months in advance. That’s not crazy luck, but a smart cultural strategy.

Okay so I've been really into MaIK for awhile now, i just haven't posted anything about it. However, I have an insane fucking theory that is highkey me just REACHING but its fun so idc.

I Think Iruma isn't human anymore.

I know, thats the whole point of the manga. But Hear Me Out.

1. Iruma's parents sold his soul (at least thats what Iruma says), oftentimes people consider your soul to be what give you humanity, what makes you human. So Iruma, while still physically human, is fundamentally missing something other humans have.

(This claim is kinda wishy-washy because Iruma's parents state that they just traded *Iruma* for money, not necessarily his soul.)

2. Chapter 307. Sullivan tells Iruma hes "Become a fine demon." This reads as Sullivan telling Iruma hes proud of how far he's come in the netherworld, and how well Iruma has integrated. I think it can also read as pretty literal. We've seen in most recent chapters how Iruma's mentality and morals have shifted, they've shifted to something that even caught his friends off guard. Wanting to terrify others? (with the idea that terror turns into excitement), commissioning Beem and still fully going thru with that despite knowing Beems artwork makes people lose themselves? Sounds kinda demony to me.

I don't necessarily think Iruma is a demon, at least definitely not physically, but he isn't much of a human anymore

Hi! I hope this post won't flop </3

first of all I wanted to finally reveal myself on this platform - many of you know me as Himbeertee_ on tiktok and twitter, Hello! Yes, I'm also here :P

I felt like last few days were like a fever dream - so I decided to write a summary/recap of my journey to Stozice.

It was not my first Joker Out show, last month I was in Żalec and both times I traveled by train and bus, so if anyone wonders how to get to Slovenia from Poland - the cheapest way is by Flixbus, but the fastest is by plane. I spent 5 hours in train and 11 hours in bus and it was only one way ride.

Me and my friend arrived at the arena around 4pm and we were 24/25 in the queue and we ended up at barricade in front of Kris, thanks to long catwalk and very long barricade. (I wanted to be at Kris' side, because duuuh i'm a Kris girlie).

If it comes to new merch - there were new winter beanies, new shirts, hoodies, socks, UM and Demoni CD's, condoms, new notebook (juhuhu hahaha), new tote bags and if you ask me... well.. those shirts didn't look good at least for me, but the rest of it was fine. I bought baby boos socks, because (to the unpopular opinion) I love the name xD

If it comes to the show alone, I will try to describe few songs. As you might have seen on twitter I managed to get the setlist (which was leaked at least day before - and unfortunately i saw some of it so I didnt experience the surprise).

The live-from-backstage intro was so cool, like I had chills, the screen was turning from the backstage to black screen or to joker out sign with the music that made your heart beat to it, it definitely built an atmosphere, we saw Jo getting ready to rock the stage, Kris leading the 5 of them to the stage from backstage, then they finally came from behind drums, which was such a cool entrance!

First song was Sunny Side of London - and now I understand that they picked it as an opener because of the "welcome" at the beginning, but when I first heard it i was kinda sceptical why is this the first song. People from the brass band joined them for the iconic balcan solo (dare I say - Kris outwhored himself during the solo).

Then we screamed for the record and we beat it, but honestly I think that the result should be higher, but because it was such an open space, the device didnt gather the sound as good as in smaller venues.

Then gola and bele sanje - honestly don't remember much of it because I was enjoying myself, maybe a little too much, but the guitar transition from bele sanje to plastika was sooooo good.

Plastika oh plastika! This song is made for concerts, everyone were screaming their lungs off and Bojan was everywhere, including the cat walk.

Proti toku - what can I say other than justice for Proti Toku! Like i dont understand why they abandoned this song at the shows...

As you already know I was at Kris' side and I had the best view on him, let me tell you. This man didn't hold back during dopamin, his moves were electric and there should be another twitter account "Kris shuffles to:"

Padam - Bojan sang the song laying on the catwalk for the entire length of the song and for a moment I was so confused where he went, because I didn't see him at first.

Then after Padam we had a small break, that included screenings of pre-eurovision clips from their vlogs and during that everyone was lying on the stage (not sure about Jure tho).

Then demoni happened and the Iconic scream was... well... demonic xD Bojan ended up almost on all fours in front of 12k audience. You're welcome or something.

Katrina - is another song which was made to being played on stage. I loved the red and white lights especially, bojan was very slutty and we were introduced to releasing fumes from the pyro stuff (not real pyro or fire on their show in Stozice).

ASTP - AMAZING intro played by a dude with trumpet, I had chills, Bojan was sitting on his knees on the stage, listening to it. I'll try to upload it to tiktok later! It is one of my fav songs. Great vocals from Bojan and Kris, the second one was very slutty af during the song (who is surprised at this point?). No Janace ending, Jan ended the song playing at the end of catwalk, nice moment between Nace and Bojan.

Omamljeno Telo - well this is the only JO song that I am not that much a fan of, but they definitely delivered their perfomance, especially when everyone went to the catwalk. We had Kris/Nace moment during the song.

Kot Srce Ki Kri Poganja - will you banish me If I tell you that I have never heard any of their unreleased songs?

Anyway I LOVED THIS SONG, can they release it on new album please? I already knew that Martin will join them because I saw pics from backstage before the show, but I was surprised to see Matic there. This songs slaps and I fell in love with the vibe martin gave while playing the bass. I couldnt stop staring at him, he was magnetic and so happy to play with others. I might cry a little when Nace gave him his bass. I loved how everyone was hugging each other before and after the song. Such a heartwarming moment, even if Martin doesnt play anymore, you could definitely see that he is still part of the family <3

Metulji - amazing perfomance, again they delivered, love the song, also amazing Jan solo at the end of the song, kinda improvised i think? At least I have never heard those sounds before.

Vse Kar Vem - well, you know who I was focused on xD I guess I have a new Vse Kar Vem iconic video for you xD

NGVOT - before the song I was wondering if they will do Tavastia 2.0 with ngvot and the scream i I let out when I saw that Bojan was far from the mic, far enough to be late to start singing the song if he had to, and then I turned to look at Kris and I already knew. This is all I've been asking for. I'm so glad that Kris is more comfortable to sing the first verse, his voice was more relaxed, less shaky than in Tavastia, I loved the way he sang "ti pa barvo las" the way Bojan does. But I still think he has to work a little bit on his voice, because I know he CAN sing (from other videos). I wonder if they will leave this song as a duet for other shows in the future or If it was like one-time thing.

Vem Da Gres - all I remember was Nace on our side and how handsome he looked. I'm not a Nace girlie, but I can definitely see why others are, and his new hair and the outfit... asdfgrew

Ne Bi Smel - this time Jan joined our side and he had a nice moment with Bojan

Ona - Another time when men from brass band joined and it was the song which had changed arrangement. I loved it. the whole vibe of the song stayed the same, but the brass instruments elevated it. (If i think about any fuck ups during the show - it happened here - the mic of the Saxophone guy didnt work at first, I've heard him from the front row, but idk if people in the back have heard him). During this song they also showed me and my friend on the screen and i cant stop thinking about how the hell it happened xD Now i am immortal in joker out stozice lore xD

Tokio - honestly don't remember what was happening - probably I was just screaming and singing.

Umazane Misli - i loved it. I LOVED IT. The way Bojan was demanding the audience who and when should they sing, and then he came down to us and let 2 people sing, and he received the THREE KAKSI ANANAS LONKERO shirt and he loved it so much, he was so smiley and took this shirt with him on the stage.

Novi val - I almost cried. This is my fav song, and thanks to Joker Out Subs and Spela the project came true, the coloful lights flashed beautifully above boy's heads. We and them were touched and it was such a special moment. At the beginning of Novi Val Jure came to our side and we could see his outfit from the closer proximity, and dare I say it was second best after Kris'.

Last but not least - Carpe Diem. After novi val they left the stage, but everyone knew it wasnt over. The break was too long and It just clicked in my head that what if they are changing into their Eurovision clothes. AND THEY DID. I just predicted it seconds before it happened. It was unreal - like i just travelled back in time 5 months.

Overall it was the best night of my life. Everything was perfect. The lights were amazing. The stage was amazing. Clothes - god, the amount of details on each outfit! Personally I think Kris and Jure had the best outfits. I couldnt really see Jan and Nace outfit details, but the looked GOOD. But if I have to complain - not a fan of detachable sleeves on Bojan's shirt.

They all delivered their performances. Not a single mistake - i am so impressed because thats a skill.

We all agree that Kris outdid himself that night. The way he moved, the way he sang, the way he was SO CONFIDENT. Like he was born to be in that exact moment.

I also loved every single interaction between boys, the group ones, or the doubles. Maybe there was no Jan and Nace astp ending but they had few moments. It was so nice to see Jan and Bojan jamming together, Kris and Nace doing their thing, Bojan and Kris' little shenanigans and even Jure and Jan had their moment when Jan ran to him at the beginning of the show.

I also love how they had movie-like credits. Everyone from their crew was credited, every person who worked on the show, team of photographers etc.

Other thing was how nice it was to being supplied with water all the time. The people behind barricade were giving us cups with water all the time, and even at the end of the show we got whole bottles.

Please don't take this post as a proper review - these are just my thoughts of the show <3

so i'm leaning into the bloodlusting warlord angle, because sometimes i just want a character like that. i know this won't get views but whatever, i've had some randomly pleasant interactions this and last night so i'm gonna swallow my tears (haha pun) and post and have fun with myself, i had fun coloring for once. still blerrrr but fun. but hear me out, under the cut~

What if, hear me out, what if, the blood moon see, what if the blood moon rose (well, it already rose as a natural phenomenon but now it had a great attractor) because Ganon, cuz Ganondorf was like “I’m gonna fuck the moon, I’m gonna make the moon mine, okay got it idiots, watch me bring this celestial body low into my thrall”

And it turned out there was a fucking…moon spirit, god, goddess, whatever…in the moon. And they noticed and was like “what’s this fucking human doing down there? That’s kinda hot” and started turning red from intrigue and infatuation. So then when Ganondorf nabbed a secret stone and became demon king, the moon was indeed brought low into his power and served to amplify it further to spawn his many little demony pigglies and wigglies~

Then when he got imprisoned and pork jerky'd into silence for millennia to come, the moon was like “awww…what do I do now? Guess I’ll just keep turning fucking red because I’m stuck in lust with this weird bloody human. Wait…how long do humans live again? Oh well, I’ll wait”

when the rest of the gerudo denounced him way back when, they were like "we were losing our people to his lunacy (lol). no more will we sacrifice our daughters, our mothers, our sisters, our aunts. the blood moon ritual is no more, and with that hopefully its ruddy hues will fade from the night skies." honoring the moon still happened, but no blood except for the occasional molduga for seasonal solstices. something like that, i dunno. didn't stop the moon, though. fucking moon.

the gloom club is for rituals, the spear is for showing off, and the sword and bow are for actually getting shit done as quickly as possible.

So Jack was betrayed prior to becoming what he is today so I can imagine mans has a few trust issues. It’s gonna take quite a while for him to accept you as his partner so buckle up buttercup it’s gonna be a long ride.

He’ll be a bit taken back by any unconditional love you show him and he won’t believe it at first, potentially dismissing and signs you send him and trying not to think about you. After a while (like a while a while, the guy’s very busy and he’ll put off talking to you for a while) he’ll confront you about it. When you tell him that you like him he’ll be like ‘yeah ofc you do’ and then he listens to you explaining that you love him and he’s like 0_0

When the two of you start a relationship I reckon he’ll be very distant with you; not that he intentionally tries to put you off but he just doesn’t know what to do and he still has an awful feeling that you’re being disingenuous. But the way you keep coming to visit him and make sure he’s taking care of himself and having breaks is just… very real. Gradually he starts to spend more time with you, letting you sit with him and talk to him, or accompanying you when you go out.

You’ll have to be patient when it comes to any physical stuff with him, mans literally has a demon inside of him so he’s not exactly the safest to be around. Whenever you try to hug him or something he’ll just lightly push you a bit so you’re not close enough for him to crush you. Also I don’t think he’s a very physical person, so it means a lot to him if you respect his boundaries and not take it too far, at least at the start. He’ll try to make it up to you in some way, he knows that love is typically shown through actions but sometimes just respecting what makes him comfortable will show your love for him much more than smothering him with affection.

It’ll also mean a lot to him if you’re not put off by him literally eating people. Yeah that’s not something that can really be overlooked in this relationship.

He totally understands if you don’t be around when he’s eating, part of him doesn’t WANT you to see it. You don’t have to cook him up a chunk of meat have your meals the same time as him or anything, but just accepting that it’s something he has to do and not making a huge fuss about it is enough to make him happy.

Now that he knows that you love him, he has to let YOU know that HE loves you.

As the guy was a med student, I can’t imagine he got a lot of experience whilst he was in university (college?? Idk how American higher education works I’m sorry) so he has no clue how to go about it. He will try the whole physical affection thing but every time he moves his arm or leg he asks you if you’re ok cuz he knows how strong he can be and he knows he is fully able to hurt you.

He won’t even attempt to make a romantic meal for you, 1) all he ate before turning all demony was pot noodles and takeout (coming from personal experience *sigh*) and 2) he can no longer consume normal food so he has no way of telling if what he makes tastes good. Bless him.

And the guy is quiet so any compliments he gives you or words of affection will most likely be adorably awkward.

He resorts to gift giving, he frequently goes out to visit injured pastas or to raid people’s homes so it’s a given that he happens across cool things like little trinkets or pretty plants to bring home for you.

He’s not a natural romantic by any means, but an old necklace and a freshly picked flower is enough to show you that your feelings for him are mutual.

Me and my Poland tour bestie (noriko_743 on ig) were reflecting on our insane week following the guys around and realised that we basically did a speedrun on the entire JO fangirl checklist.

It was Nori's first in-person JO gig ever at Warsaw 1 (!!!)

We got barricade for the first time in both our lives

Nori got photos and hugs with ALL the guys

I got a guitar pick in Wrocław!

We sang Umazane Misli with Bojan at Warsaw 2

Bojan actually recognised me in Poznań and Prague and remembered what we'd talked about in Wrocław 🙀

Nori got handwritten lyrics from Bojan for a tattoo

Nori's ig story got reposted by Kris!

We both ended up in Vita's photos on the band's official account

We ran into the guys "in the wild", i.e. out in the city during the day

We got the live debut of a new iconic outfit (all-white Kris)

We saw all (I think all?) the Stožice outfits in person

We saw the Demoni scream and Kris NGVOT in person

I was the numbers person / unofficial "queue manager" for the pre-wristband queue at Warsaw 2 and Poznań

We participated in fan actions that the guys really appreciated (shoutout jokeroutpolska for organising)

I met lots of tumblr mutuals 🥰

I met a bunch of people I have plans to see again in Munich, The Hague and Amsterdam

Like... it's crazy just how much happened in this last week. And there was no one show where we got everything, or nothing. Every single gig had something special to offer. So if you're wondering whether it's "worth" following JO around on tour... it really, really is. The experiences you have and the people you meet are incredible.

Speaking of, here are some other unforgettable tour experiences that will stick with me for a long time to come:

Nori and I only met at the hostel before Warsaw 1, and she wasn't even planning to come to that show, she only had a ticket for Warsaw 2! But I talked her into getting a cheap resale ticket for Warsaw 1, and she queued with me, and she loved it so much she immediately bought tickets for Wrocław and Poznań too, so we booked hotels together for the rest of the tour.

I literally just met Nori last week?? But we spent nearly every minute together between Warsaw 1 and Poznań, dealing with the highest highs and lowest lows of tour life, and it now feels like we've been friends for ages.

After the fucking absurd queue situation at Wrocław (4:45am and #45, WTF????) we decided that after the show, we would wait outside for the boys and then head straight for Poznań in my car. So we literally drove through the night with our new friend Safursey and formed the start of the Poznań queue.

Our hotel in Poznań wasn't ready until 2pm so we literally just took turns queuing and sleeping in my car. Nori and Safursey let me have the first sleeping shift since I drove us overnight.

I think we only slept between 15-20 hours total over 8 days???

I'm actually glad I got to experience a cursed gig (Prague) where everything went wrong. Seeing how professionally the guys reacted and how smoothly things were resolved made me appreciate just how experienced and calm they are.

Nori and I were unknowingly the centre of a major Twitter outrage after Warsaw 2 because someone accused us of stealing the microphone after Umazane Misli. Neither of us are on Twitter so we didn't even know about this controversy, but someone was clearly accusing us (and it was definitely us from the context) of stealing the microphone to sing, even though we had a sign asking to sing UM and Bojan was obviously pointing at us to get the microphone next (which is clear to see in all the videos of that moment).

Our friend Safursey deleted her Twitter account after Prague because people who were not there were spreading all kinds of insane rumours and unfounded accusations about the queue and Bojan's ig stories and refused to be corrected by the people who were actually involved. She got so much hate for explaining what was actually happening on the ground that she left the platform entirely, so that should tell you how toxic Twitter is.

I was feeling like such utter shit after the drama in Prague that I didn't even want to attend the concert anymore, but Safursey and @thisismyobsessionnow (Nori didn't come to Prague) came to comfort me and convinced me to still come to the gig, and I really appreciate that.

Overall an emotional roller coaster, but one I wouldn't give up for anything. We had SO much fun and met SO many people. I would do it again any time.

I am loosing my goddamn mind over what apparently happens to Wyll if he doesn't kill Karlach. Oh my god???

Mizora turns him all demony.

Like... Okay. Okay. Okay. And here I was foolish to think Wyll couldn't get any hotter in his design. I do think the horns are a tad too big for his head, but otherwise, damn.

I know this is going to wreck him, though. He wants to be seen as a hero so bad, and now he's probably gonna feel like he's a monster. I want to hug him already.

(Also, this so validates the backstory for my own warlock who's cambion patron changed his appearance as part of their pact. Nice.)

"You have the Inquisitor," Solas had said. "And you have me."

Iron Bull once considered him full of shit. People say that sympathetic crap all the time, all dripping with condescension and pity and whatever else they fool themselves into thinking is empathy. But Solas is a dick, and even if Bull knows he's keeping things to himself, he's also a terrible liar. There was no lie in that promise.

And Iron Bull does have the Inquisitor. He knows that much. Despite barely reaching his belt buckle in height, Tilda Cadash is a larger-than-life force to be reckoned with, and she takes Bull's crap as seriously as she does a rasher of smoked nug flank. She doesn't pick and pry and hover and wring her hands — she waits, and she listens, and she treats him as she always has.

Solas is comforting in a different way. Their bickering over beliefs has all but quit — instead, Solas has been asking him questions, like how his people put on shirts. Iron Bull asks him if he fucks Fade-ladies. Solas turns fifteen different shades of red, and Bull wonders if they're not Fade-ladies but Fade-gents.

But then they fight one of those Fade-ladies and Bull changes his tune.

This one's important to the Fadewalker — Tilda's dragged them to the ass end of a civil war's final whimper to find her. It. Whatever. And when they discover it's turned into a demon — because of course it (she?) has — Solas loses his mind. He shouts at these mages and curses in his slippery language, and Iron Bull can't remember if he's ever heard him so much as raise his voice.

The binding falls quickly — Tilda, despite her lack of affinity for magic, seems to know exactly where to hit the spires to break them — and the spiky piece of demony horror that Iron Bull has been keeping off the others slumps, then falls. Solas runs to its side, puts up a hand to ward Bull away, and drops to his knees beside it.

It sure looks like a woman now.

He's talking to it, wringing his hands and sounding on the verge of tears. Iron Bull wants to take him away from here, away from the burning scent of death and scorched magic marks in the dirt. But he needs this.

The demon asks Solas for something, and it's like a mask of grief drops over him. Years and years show on his face, carved deep into the lines around his mouth. Bull's suddenly certain this isn't the first time this has happened to him.

That's why Tilda brought them here. That's why they rushed. That's why Solas had shouted and paced and now seemed so... dead. It's worse when he puts out his hands, and when the demon dissolves — just like the ones they kill at rifts, no different at all — Solas's face is made of flint.

He wanted to save just one, and he'd failed.

Solas kills the mages, and it's cold and dark and without mercy. Iron Bull doesn't feel anything at all when they fall — under the Qun they'd never have gotten this far, but he doesn't say that. He's not Qunari anymore anyway.

He's not surprised that the Fadewalker goes off on his own. He's a private guy, and Bull finds himself wishing he'd done the same when the dreadnought had sunk instead of drinking himself silly and making himself forget in the sparring ring. In his absence, he gets Tilda back home — Cole, in his weird-kid wisdom, follows them instead of Solas.

Iron Bull wakes up in his own bed, a week later, with Tilda shaking his arm.

"He's back," she hisses. "I can't get much out of him. Talk to him?"

Iron Bull groans and presses his head back into the soft pillow. "Or I could do what you did for me after the alliance failed and just... not talk about it."

Tilda can't focus her pale eyes on him, but she still manages to direct her mostly-blind stare directly at his face. "Solas needs different things than you do. He needs to talk or he begins to get... weird. Weirder. You know."

Iron Bull does know. He gets up.

He finds Solas hunched over some drawings in his lap, his ass sat on that sofa he's got shoved against the wall in the rotunda. There's space, so Bull sits next to him. Solas doesn't look up.

"Those look good," Iron Bull grunts, gesturing at the sketches. Solas scrubs some charcoal onto one to finish forming that demon's nose. "Looks just like her."

"It," Solas corrects him with a sniff. "Its pronouns were it and its."

Bull thinks briefly of Krem, then shakes the notion away. Demons aren't like his flesh and blood boys. "Wanna tell me about... it?"

"Why?" he snaps. "You hate spirits. Your fear has blinded you to their personhood. Do not pretend for my sake."

Bull shrugged. "Fine. I won't. I don't get it. But I do... well. I care." He tips his head to one side, then the other, then pushes through his discomfort and says with a wince, "About you."

Solas's snort speaks to his disbelief. He still doesn't look at Bull, not even sideways — he just focuses on those papers in his lap.

"You have the Inquisitor," Bull said in a low voice.

Solas's hand stills. His fingers are smudged from the charcoal he holds.

"And you have me," Bull finishes.

stranger things dream demon au ✨

so uh in this world all the stranger things ppl who are of legal age to get down with are sex demons. yay! but that means you have to be 18+ to look at this bc sexy stuff.

characters: robin, jonathan, steve, eddie, nancy warnings: might be shades of fem!reader and oc!reader but this is largely just basic fun worldbuildy stuff. might get a bit suggestive.

okay so!

they’re not all true demony-demons in that they want your soul and/or are trying to corrupt you, most of them are just creatures that subsist on sexual energy. they live outside of regular reality in a place that humans can sometimes access when they dream. some rare humans are dream walkers, who can travel there freely.

all the demons have the same baseline powers: when they are physically touching you, they can hear or feel your thoughts. they can put magic in their voice to soothe you into a hypnotic state. they can pass for completely human, but they have inhuman forms/traits that are unique to them. they all have demon magic and can perform spells in their language (that their names/ritual summons are in) and it manifests visually in different ways, but they’ve all got unique supernatural abilities too. they can teleport, but they have to be invited to the human world by a summons. one summons is enough to consider a demon invited—after that, they can come to you if they want (you are their access point to the human world), and you have to specifically banish them again if you don’t want to see them anymore. most demons don’t take advantage of this.

just to get it out of the way—billy basically only exists in this universe as an example of a “bad” demon. i just don’t like him, so he doesn’t get the full treatment. (you know, name, ritual ingredients, powers, interesting tidbits, etc)

robin’s name is blunt-sounding but sweet, with a tricky staccato cadence that almost always ends in giggles because of how it tickles the throat, and hearing it tends to leave your fingertips tingling, or your feet tapping restlessly. her ritual is best performed with a bit of milk chocolate melting on your tongue, and involves burning tea bags and candied lemon peels. she’s a good listener and that comes out in her powers—telepathy, even over distances, a complete mastery of languages, being able to tell when you’re lying, an ability to hear through what you’re saying to what’s really bothering you. anyone sharing her recipe will also share that she has a love of m&ms and brews the best coffee in the known universe.

jonathan’s ritual is a little more involved. he wants you to burn a picture of something, preferably a photo you took, over a handful of your favorite sweet-smelling herbs. if you include a little, uh, special herbs, all the better. his name is more forgiving than others’, mumbled and low, and it leaves your lips and tongue feeling a little sticky and sweet with the taste of maple, and your ears feeling warm like someone has gently cupped them for a couple seconds. with his powers, he can get pictures of anything he wants, even if a photo should have been impossible to take or develop. he has an ability to see right through you, and because it’s in his nature to be nurturing he can pinpoint the exact things you need to feel taken care of. he likes to make an entrance sometimes by making your radio turn on by itself before he appears.

the proper way to call steve would involve a few candles, cinnamon sticks, and flower petals in a circle around you. his name is a bit tricky like robins, sharper, and makes your nose tingle and your ears ring, but it tastes sweet and tart on the tongue when you can get it right, like the burst of fresh berries. his powers are mainly connected to the heart—he’s very, very empathetic and he’ll hear what your heart is crying out to say even when you could never verbalize it, and he has the ability to project feelings to try to offer you comfort. steve has been resisting being summoned for a little while now because he was assaulted the last time he answered a summons, though robin warned him that the day would come where he wouldn’t be able to resist anymore.

eddie’s the most elaborate, both in ritual and name. his name is a tongue twister, forcing you to smile and stick your tongue out at points to get the correct pronunciation, and both saying it and hearing it make you feel the slightest bit lightheaded (as though you’ve just been headbanging, perhaps). for his ritual, in addition to burning some tobacco and cardamom, you need to roll a die. any kind will do, though a d20 will make him especially happy, and how he behaves when he arrives depends on how well you rolled… (burning some special herbs gets you a +2 modifier) his powers are much showier than the others, telekinesis that allows him to move things around like a proper wizard, and he learns the most about your feelings through touch—both physically touching you, and feeling you out with his mind.

nancy’s name is short and sharp, like the crack of a gunshot, and it hits you in the chest with a kickback, leaving a coffee-and-almonds taste in the back of your throat. the spice blend you’re recommended to burn to summon her stings your throat something fierce, but it dissipates almost immediately on arrival because she smells of vanilla and something sweet and clean and floral, with just a hint of smoke underneath it. she's incredibly observant, but she has a very, very keen sense of smell and will be able to pick out your emotions and state of mind based on that, as well as a few other things... she uses her demon magic more freely than the others, performing more spells and rituals because she has the most expertise.
