Item: Jeering Homunculus; when directed at a creature, it will annoy them into attempting to attack on every turn, hopefully distracting them from other actions.

I just wanted to show off my boy, Bosco. Found him in an antique shop that had a lot of other questionable items. He might be cursed but if you compliment him every day, he is very loyal. He is very handsome, yes? 🦆

Ukraine gets Russia to waste time and ammunition by creating convincing and relatively inexpensive decoys.
They are created with one single aim in mind: to be destroyed as quickly as possible. And in that, the steelworks company behind them boasts, these decoy weapons are remarkably successful: hundreds have been targeted by Russian forces almost as soon as they were deployed. Ukrainian D-20 gun-howitzers, American-made M777 howitzers, mortar tubes, air defense radars… the list goes on. If it is deployed and operational in Ukraine, chances are that Metinvest has either copied it, or is in the process of doing so, inside the small hangar that sits, tucked away, on the edge of a vast industrial site in central Ukraine. There you will find an impressive array of replicas of the latest American and European killing technology. [ ... ] The aim, says the spokesman, is twofold: to save Ukrainian lives and to trick Russians into squandering their own, very expensive, kamikaze drones, shells and missiles. The idea is that, from the sky, the decoys should look worthy of attack, without spending too much. And that has meant striking a balance in the choice of materials, complementing cheap plywood – which doesn’t give off the right heat signature to trick Russian heat-seeking radars and drones – with enough metal that they should be fooled. “War is expensive and we need the Russians to spend money using drones and missiles to destroy our decoys”, explains Metinvest’s spokesman. “After all, drones and missiles are expensive. Our models are much, much cheaper.”
Decoys are certainly not new to warfare but Ukraine has learned to do them better. And there is constant dialogue about improvements and refinements between the battle zones and Metinvest – the company which produces the decoys.
The real test now – the measure of each decoy’s success – is how long they stay in the field. If one design survives too long, the company’s decoy designers go back to the drawing board. As a result, the company’s catalogue of fake weaponry is getting impressively long and varied. “We do not count the number of decoys produced, but the number of those destroyed, and this is the main thing for us,” says the spokesman. “The sooner our decoys are destroyed, the better for us”.
Measuring success by how many of your products get destroyed is an unusual way to view business.

“She did what? Your majesty, I am so sorry.”
Breha didn’t reply immediately. She pressed her fingers to her temples and smoothed her perfect skin back from her face. She sighed. “Well, it can’t be helped. I suppose she was always going to hear the story sooner or later. And it’s not your fault she takes after her mother.”
Sabé laid a hand over the Queen’s. “She takes after both her mothers,” she said gently. Breha made these kind of references from time to time, and Sabé’s heart ached for her every time she did.
Bail had always seemed entirely secure in his identity as Leia’s father, right from the day he first brought her home, but Breha seemed occasionally to question whether she truly could call herself her mother. Maybe it was because she hadn’t carried her in her body, hadn’t given birth to her or nursed her.
Or perhaps it was easier to assume the title of father when the other man with a claim to it was Anakin Skywalker.
Breha smiled and squeezed Sabé’s hand. The moment passed, and Sabé remembered she was in the middle of an apology.
“I should have seen this coming. She’d learnt about the invasion of Naboo from her tutor, so she was asking about it.” Leia knew very little about Sabé’s past, but she did know she was from Naboo.
“She was asking about Amidala, and how she persuaded the Gungans to help her. So I told her the Queen earned their trust through revealing that she and her handmaiden had swapped places, to protect her.”
Sabé shook her head. “She went quiet, Breha, and that’s when I should have known. She started saying she didn’t believe me, that two people who weren’t related couldn’t look so much alike. So I told her about how the royal outfits and make up were designed to conceal, the effect body language and confidence can have, how people usually see what they expect to see. And now - this.”
“Well, we found her in time, and there’s no harm done. And I don’t think you should blame yourself for not seeing what she was up to. But, Sabé?”
“Yes Breha?”
“I think you may need to be a little more cautious in future when regaling my daughter with tales of your handmaiden exploits.”
Sabé nodded. “Of course. But truly, I have no worries that she would use whatever she might learn for anything other than good.” She smiled at her friend.
“After all, she is her mothers’ daughter.”

I made 6 decoys for this study!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. @minethereals
Her name is Annie. She is 19 years old and is a Taemint. She has been a Shawol for about 8 years now and doesn’t plan on leaving any time soon. Her coping mechanism with Dec 18th are reblogging memes and funny videos. She has been doing it since August 2018 and hasn’t stopped ever since due to how effective it was.
2. @sweetiejjongie
Alyssa is a long time Shawol with literally a decade of experiencing their music. She is exactly 28 and has a 3 year old daughter (Savanna) who is also a K-pop fan who’s favourite groups so happens to be BLACKPINK and BTS. Being a Blinger herself, Dec 18th is one of the most hardest days of her life besides the day her mother died and the very moment she got raped by a babysitter that was supposed to look after her little brother when she was only 11. As a spiritual believer, she would imagine Jonghyun in heaven within her own lens, hence she would create fanfictions to further visualise her beliefs.
3. @dearonew
Meet Jaeyeon, or Jazzy. She is also a long time Shawol with 9 years alongside with groups such as EXO, Super Junior, Girls Generation, BIGBANG, etc. As an MVP, Dec 18th affects her quite a lot that she would resort to making letters to him weekly on her blog to talk about her day like a penpal. She’s a sweet person to talk to and a lot of her friends would say the same thing.
4. @keyluvs
Ken (they/them) is a Shawol that has been around since 2012 but has finally came in 2016 due to the songs being of their type. As a Locket, they felt devastated and almost out of place since they didn’t think they was eligible to share their emotions about Jonghyun. Eventually, they allowed themself to mourn and celebrate his life by sharing some pictures of him they liked.
5. @chocominho
Miracle is a 29 year old Shawol who has graduated University few years prior and is just settling into her new life. Being a Flame of 7 years, she was very saddened as she laid on her best friend’s shoulders for comfort. She occasionally celebrates Jonghyun’s life by sharing pictures of him on social media and talks about how funny he was.
6. @shawolsangels
Jack is a 17 year old from England that was introduced to K-pop by his big sister in 2014 and is still into them until this day. He loves all of the members equally, so there’s no surprise that he would be devastated to hear about Dec 18th. He writes fanfictions with all of them included and it has been helping him ever since 2019 after he had realised that pretending he never existed didn’t help him cope at all.
Let me know what do you think and if I need to change any of them!
That’s absolutely amazing! I love how you gave each of them some personalities and even traumas they had went through! I feel so bad for Alyssa and I hope she’s doing well at the moment.
Also, you can message @howcanibehomophobicmyjjongisgay for any updates so he could add them to his statistics!

Frog Decoy
Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery
Artist: Unidentified
Luce Center Label: North American hunters have used decoys for centuries. Native Americans made decoys from reeds, clay, and stuffed skins to lure migrating birds within range of their arrows or spears. European pioneers adopted this technique, and by the early nineteenth century both commercial and sport hunters used carved wooden decoys. Craftsmen shape and decorate decoys either to imitate the desired bird’s prey or “trick” them into thinking it is safe to land.

So does Senator Palpatine know abt Sabé n Padmé switching up? Like who exactly knows. Bc I honestly never know who is who in any scene.
When Sabé is speaking, how does she know what to say? Like does she just know what Padme wants/would say? Do they have a telepathic bond??? Or just super good vibes? Super good training?
