Why do pockets make a clothing article so much better? I don’t even use them, but they’re there, and they make me feel an intense joy at knowing that they’re there
You know I was just thinking about what classes each member of the bad batch would be in DND. Some are easier to do than others such as Wrecker being a barbarian, Tech being an Artificer So that leaves me with some new poll ideas. If you were to take out multiclassing
Tech is resurrected from the dead and wasn’t brainwashed at all and CX-2 is Soup Clone and Echo breaks Omega and the batch’s soon to be adopted children out of jail and Cody shows up and is a-okay and was just secretly chilling with Rex but also had to be sneaky about it because plot and suspense 👍
Many of us (including me) believed that the title refers to CF99‘s arrival at Tantiss and the rescue of Omega.
But what if…
What if the analogy is different?
What if it refers to exernals that are normally not a regular part of the show who help rescue someone who is part of the show and then get their own sequel.
Exernals as in Rex, Howzer, Gregor, maybe even Wolffe and Cody (instead of CF99).
Rescuing Omega (instead of Echo).
Setting up The Clone Rebellion sequel (instead of The Bad Batch).
And transferring Echo from the show to the sequel, giving him a new look. Like last time.
You know I have been wondering what’s your dumb theory that you had at the start of the bad batch back during Aftermath that just did not pan out at all?
Here goes mine throughout the series
All of the bad batch had some sort of force thing a Jedi had. That if you put them together they would be the perfect Jedi killing machines (Ventress very much proves this wrong)
Before I even watched Aftermath I thought Omega was just a blonde clone who wasn’t a girl lol how wrong I was
For a bunch of season 1 and some of season 2 before I started seeing the Tech death flags I really thought that Omega and Tech would be the last ones standing
I totally thought Rampart was dead. No way the empire would just throw him in a prison!
For the longest time I totally thought Grogu was going to show up and the bad batch would play a part in his early survival.
“You shouldn’t self-ID as ADHD/autistic, you’re turning a very real mental condition into a trend” Ok then stop saying delulu. Stop speculating on which cluster C personality disorder the criminals you hear about on the news have. Stop saying “schizoposting” and “acoustic” and “is it restarted?” Stop using “psycopath” and “sociopath” as catch-all ways of calling someone a bad person. Stop saying “the intrusive thoughts won” when you bleach your hair and then turn your nose up at people who suffer from very real, very scary urges of physical/sexual violence. Stop saying “I’m so OCD” as a way of calling yourself neat. Stop treating BPD/ASPD/Bipolar as inherently abusive. Stop saying “OP I am living in your walls” without tagging for unreality. Stop diagnosing complete strangers you’ve never met on r/AITA with NPD.
You first. If you don’t want our disabilities to be treated like trends then stop belittling and minimising them. I’ll NEVER judge a person for trying find labels for their symptoms when an apathetic, racist, sexist, ableist healthcare system refuses to. But I will absolutely judge a hypocrite. Which a lot of you are
Thinking about Rex & Anakin & the (intimacy of) what they call each other some more...
I really latched onto that one scene in the movie where Rex uses Anakin's first name as a warning - it's a combination of Rex's trust that Anakin will get it (and he does!), that they're two people who already work really well together, they understand each other, they're in sync -
But it's also that Rex has this deliberate boundary up and Anakin respects that. Whether he actually consciously recognises there's a power imbalance between them and he needs to let Rex set the terms of how they interact or not, he acts that way, which is what ultimately counts? Anakin is someone who often struggles with maintaining boundaries in other relationships, but with this one, Anakin steps back and lets Rex set the pace.
Rex is someone he's close to and trusts, but he doesn't seem bothered that Rex keeps him at arms length in this one specific way - and more than that, he has a lot of self-awareness about it. When Rex calls him 'Anakin' in that scene he doesn't think, 'oh things are going badly and Rex must be reaching out to me more personally in a moment of need, we're getting closer, yay' - he immediately grasps that this isn't personal, this is a warning.
Both characters are making really deliberate choices in this scene, and those choices reflect how well they know each other but also how much each of them knows they know each other...

If Hemlock and the Empire ever got a hold of Echo for the CX program, the Batch and the Rebellion would be fucked.
The last two episodes just proves how stunningly effective Echo is at stealth and infiltration. Imagine what the Empire would have him do with his ARC skills and his ability to scomp in and retrieve data and sabotage.
tags/warnings - graphic depictions of violence, whump, angst, fluff, pining, a teensy bit of comfort, rex whump, rex needs a hug, hurt Rex, anakin needs a hug, anakin doesn't turn to the dark side, protective anakin skywalker, hurt anakin skywalker, order 66 happened differently, order 66, clone trooper inhibitor chips, clone trooper inhibitor chips removal, mind control, eventual happy ending, OR IS THERE?
summary - Anakin is returned with Ahsoka after the Siege of Mandalore. There's speculation that the war will be over soon, that everyone can stop fighting. But the war ends in a different way. It ends with the clones, the Jedi's most trusted friends, turning around and slaughtering them. Anakin and Ahsoka are fighting to not be one of said Jedi, and Rex is fighting to not be one of said clones.
Or, Anakin has to deal with seeing his crush being mind controlled and trying to kill him and then even more bad things ensue :)
Anyone else think that if the clones saw the clone zillo beast they would just “brother? New brother?” And look at each other really confused and then slowly nod their heads and go “new brother! New brother!” With much more confidence and arm outstretched?
I jsut realized he painted his jaig eyes onto the armor and now I’m crying I love that sm like yes that’s your thing! That’s your little symbol! Only two other clones have that! We’re so proud of you!!! We love you so god damn much!!
