don't even think about interacting with me if you're a construct of any kind. some of us had to be turned to be considered monsters, you guys had to be built into it smh

why are you mad about some people not going through an experience that can be severely traumatizing? that's weird, dude.

yeah wouldn't it be easier for someone to be a monster at the start rather than going through something horrific?

(I scrolled through your ask tag to see if this question had been asked yet and didn't see it, but if it has pls ignore) What was DU Drow's reaction to Astarion's confession in act 2, and what was your reaction to it? Did you get The Hug?
I think I may have replied to this before but I can't find it - so let's go again LOL
My zoomy ass never met Araj in my original playthrough, so I got the other version of the confession where Astarion just discloses his feelings unprompted. This was honestly the most fitting confession I could have gotten for how I was playing DU drow so that's very much my "canon".
DU drow would have pretty much mirrored his wishes at that point, but his lack of personal insight would have kept him from putting it out there so eloquently or sincerely. Astarion's contrasting honesty and surprising grasp of his own feelings is a strong point of contention between them (Astarion shows a willingness and capacity to self-analyze - DU drow a lot of trouble with employing the same practice and becomes frustrated when Astarion pushes him to do so.)
All that to say the confession would have taken him by surprise; if it were up to him, nothing needed to be said on the matter and it would have been an extensive game of implications and will or won't-they (I wonder there that comes from) - but by bringing it up and spelling the situation out so thoroughly Astarion would have prompted DU drow to reflect on what it actually was that he wanted out of the situation - and the answer he arrived at was that he wanted something simple. He saw Astarion's honesty and though, I liked that. I liked how it made me feel. I should do the same.
That would mark a point where he starts to become a little sweeter, it was very much still a work-in-progress but he begins to express his adoration and care more openly - now that he's basically been invited to.
But I actually didn't get the hug LOL I asked him what he wanted instead because I was more interested in that answer - so I just got some dialogue and hand-holding . But the way I see it, that's very fitting for them!

so to finally respond to that poll i made a couple days ago:
in my own ideal scenario (so not what i'm actually expecting out of the show, but simply what i'd personally love to see happen in a universe where benrius is endgame), darius would be the first one to "make a move," i.e. confess. i've seen a couple people point out that ben's pretty impulsive, so it makes sense that he'd be the one to say something, but i think that's what would make darius confessing all the more impactful? darius has always struck me as a deeply emotionally repressed person, and he's undoubtedly had the biggest burden to carry on his shoulders, between repeatedly losing his loved onces and being the person everyone looks to for guidance (despite being the youngest one in the group). this is still true for chaos theory, where brooklynn's dead and darius blames himself for it, although ben might assume something of a co-leader role since he's the one behind the "we're being hunted" conspiracy (and is thus the driving force behind getting the campers back together).
and i like to think, in maturing enough to lead the group, that ben would likewise have enough emotional intelligence to recognize that darius is Not Doing Well. now would not be the time to suddenly dump a love confession on his best friend, especially not when ben's unsure if darius reciprocates (in my mind he's fairly confident that darius doesn't, but i'm a masochist who loves the not-actually-unrequited-love trope). even if darius was in a good place, they have more important things to worry about, considering the whole "there are people out there trying to kill us" subplot. being able to put his own feelings aside as to prioritize the group and, more importantly, darius, would be a huge sign of how much ben's grown, and an equally monumental testament to his unconditional love and care for darius.
so i'd really like to see darius come to his feelings for ben on his own, without anything (or anyone) else to prompt him. i think it'd be particularly interesting to see him grapple with those feelings in the midst of the main plot, too, and how that might collide with his anxiety and his grief. something that jwcc was somewhat lacking was that deep and intimate look into darius's psyche, at least in seasons 4 and 5; i would love to see that explored further in some kind of way. and it'd be so satisfying that if after everything's said and done, once everyone's safe and sound, that darius is able to approach ben with surety—maybe not full confidence, since all of this is so new to him, but with the knowing that his affection for ben is real, that it's worth confessing.
and maybe then, when darius is explaining what ben means to him, how much he's valued their friendship over the years, that ben lets himself take that leap he's only ever dreamed of: a chaste, hasty kiss, as awkward and endearing as his younger self. he jumps back almost immediately, cheeks and jawline growing red in a way that might seem unbecoming of his sharper features if it wasn't one of the prettiest things darius has ever seen. and ben is starting to apologize, probably one of the only times he's outwardly said "sorry" for anything in his life, but darius already has a hand on ben's shoulder, the other cupping his face. and he pulls him back in, because there's nothing to apologize for. this is exactly where he wants to be—where he's always wanted to be, even.

it’s been long since I made a pro Tony Stark post but seeing someone try to blame the events of Civil War going south on him had me heated. look, I will admit that some of Tony’s actions in the movie where not okay at all like wanting to kill Bucky for killing his mother while under HYDRA’s influence but maybe Steve stans and a lot of pro team cap folks should realize that Steve’s actions also played a huge role in the movie as well.
for one, maybe Steve should have realized that 119 countries banding together to make a document, you feel is threatening your rights, is a serious matter. 119 countries is almost two-thirds of the countries in the UN and the world, if a great part of the world thinks you are doing more harm than good, maybe as a superhero, you should try to reason with them.
two, Steve chose to do nothing when he thought his rights were threatened by the accords. I do think there were some human rights violations in the accords that should not have been avoided, however, Steve chose to do nothing. anyone who has done a bit of activism know how ineffective that strategy is.
three, Steve’s actions were proving to the UN even more reasons why they felt the accords were necessary. interfering with law enforcement when they were out for Bucky who was potentially dangerous was a bad idea. sure, Bucky was his best friend and I don’t blame Steve for wanting to save him. however, let us remember that Bucky had killed people while he was the Winter Soldier and the Romanian government didn’t have the perspective we have and they had every reason to see him as a huge threat.
four, infantilizing Wanda by calling her a kid because Tony decided to put her on house arrest. and yes, I agree that Tony not telling Wanda was a very bad idea but let us not forget that the Avengers were still under public scrutiny after a disaster of a mission in Lagos and the accords. Wanda could have been attacked by outsiders who could have gone the Zemo route because a family member was in Lagos and that would have caused her to try to defend herself which could get twisted by the media and turn more of the public against her and the avengers as a whole. mind you, the Avengers were facing enough mistrust from the public.
also, Steve, calling a huge comfortable compound with a swimming pool an internment is a bit tonedeaf to those whose ancestors have been to actual interments. as someone who had an Asian American on his team, I’d expect he know better.
five, accords or not, maybe the Russian government has the right to know about a man controlling dangerously brainwashed men within their country. sure, it latter turned out to be a false alarm but considering the fact that this was a security threat which many countries would take seriously, Steve for some reason never considered the fact that the Russian government should be alerted to something like that. if this didn’t scream arrogance, I don’t know what else did.
six, resisting arrest and trashing public property while on international borders in the bid of resisting arrest would piss off the very people who are already pissed at you and your American passport would not bail you out of that one. even international passports come with a warning about their holders committing a crime in other countries. the fact that Steve acknowledged that his team could get arrested for that made it even worse.
this one is actually addressed to the whole of team cap, not just Steve, but seven, you cannot commit a crime on international soil with full knowledge that it is a crime and then blame somebody else for why you ended up in jail. sure, the rift and Thaddeus Ross are sketchy in nature but Scott and Clint blaming Tony for why they ended up there was funny to me because they made the informed decision to commit a crime.
eight, which is a major part being that it was the climax of Civil War, hmmm, maybe keeping the secret of the death of the parents of your rich teammate whose money was funding the search of their killer from him is a very bad idea. idk, man, I would be angry too if it were me. sure, wanting to kill Bucky was wrong but if we didn’t fault the Mayonnaise twins, T’Challa, Peter Parker and later Shuri for going after their parents’ (perceived, in T’Challa’s case) killers, maybe we could give Tony too some grace because brainwashed or not, I would have gone after Bucky too.
nine, the apology letter was the shittiest letter ever and I don’t blame Tony for not wanting to speak to Steve during the events of Infinity War. like how can you even write that type of letter to someone you offended and expect the relationship to still be intact?
there was one part I almost forgot but that quote that emboldened Steve is also dumb the more I look at it. oh yeah, plant yourself in front of the 119 countries you didn’t even bother to address at all and tell them “no, you move” is the ultimate height of hubris. when you are already on thin ice with the public? and Steve thought this was a good idea? yikes 😬
