summary: Welt's thoughts always seem to circle back to them.

author's notes: who would've guessed i don't have anything interesting to say here LOL they/them pronouns for Void because I said so :3 also! uhh idk implied?? something?? maybe not??? i feel like i need to write something longer again but man!!

For someone who, ultimately, was pretty certain he wouldn't miss them all that much, Welt Yang sure thinks about Void Archives a lot.

It's almost as if they're haunting him; though now, after some time, there's much less things that would remind Welt of them, and the memory of them is somewhat bitter, they're still in his mind. He still catches himself mistaking someone else for them way too often for his liking - though back there, on the Xianzhou Luofu, the resemblance was truly uncanny; taking him by surprise, though perhaps it shouldn't have, not at this point.

If Welt was a little less reasonable, a little less sure that it's rather impossible, he'd say Void Archives is somehow doing this on purpose, only to taunt him - even though they haven't even tried to contact him or the Astral Express once since they left.

They don't seem to care - and so he attempts to convince himself he doesn't either - but their ghost seems to follow him wherever he goes.

Boxtober - Day 24: “Surprise Attack!”

Day 24: - Kate The Chaser X GN!Reader “Is this safe?” x “All the Hugs”

You were a good distance behind as you watched closely. You could see Kate’s figure slowly but efficiently progressing deeper into the forest. You made sure to calculate every step you made to not alarm her. You were checking up on Kate because she took yet another mission and this was payback for it. You two had been together for a good while, but it seemed you weren’t. But this was only because Kate never stayed back at all, constantly going after another target or being caught up in some other proxy problem. And no matter how much you wanted her to stay back, she couldn’t and wouldn’t. But it didn’t mean she didn’t love you, and in fact, it was the total opposite. She was head over heels for you permanently and couldn’t imagine being with anyone else. It was just hard to maintain a romantic relationship with her because of the sheer amount of responsibility she had. And that made it seem like she was losing interest but it was far from it. So, today you were after some affirmation and physical affection from her in the dumbest way possible.

Though, that's what you reminded yourself as you kept tabs on her. At least to your knowledge, she didn’t know you had tagged along. Thus, making this entire idea great and that it would have to go right. And the plan was a surprise attack. A surprise attack that included a hug that was very much needed. You thought to yourself as you crept against trees and shadows, watching your lover, waiting for the perfect moment to spook her. And thinking about it, this mission would be one of the best ones to pull off something like this. And the reason was that the target's home was far from the forest's heart. In other words, the further she had to travel away from the forest, the longer you would have to scare her. You could feel your breathing becoming sharp as you watched her carefully make her way through the thick brush. You could see by looking at her face that she had her hands firmly tucked away in her pockets and that her mask was tightly hung on her face. Your head hurt that she didn’t seem to even take note of your presence, which was off due to her being a proxy.

Kate had always been the better proxy, seeming almost robotic due to the number of missions she took. The others were good, of course, but they still had a core value. While she didn't seem to have any mercy toward the innocent, just thinking about your plan seemed to collapse in on itself into doubt.

"Is this safe?" you thought to yourself, watching her go further in.

What if she thought you were a threat? What if she accidentally hurts you because of it? And all of these thoughts were racing through your head. These questions made you follow her less, but you still felt some need to do it anyway. You felt like you had to do this for your relationship. You just missed her too much not to interrupt her current mission. You needed her attention, and you could feel yourself drifting into thought. But you got pulled back in just by looking at her again.

You tilted your head upon seeing her suddenly stop her movement. You froze as you watched her reach into her pocket. She soon pulled out a small phone. It looked to be an older version, and from what you could tell, she was tracking her target. As she changed direction, you did the same thing. She exhaled heavily, and you could sense some type of agitation arising. It was now or never, you decided as you tightly clutched the tree. You slowly pulled yourself out of it as you now stood behind her frame. The breeze passed between the both of you as you felt yourself swallow silently. All of this training came in handy when trying to sneak up on her. Though you had some type of worry, you also had a questionable amount of excitement running through you. And it was just enough to push you over the edge. You walked up behind her as she stopped again, gradually quickening your pace as you wrapped your arms around her. You instantly felt nostalgia and a sense of warmth spike. She flinched for a moment, and you could tell she snapped her head toward you before she exhaled in relief. You let go as you could tell she pushed her mask to the side of her face, indicating a sense of trust.

"Is everything alright?" she muttered, looking at you with a sense of guilt. Her gaze fixated and seemed to lessen as her hair framed her face.

"I kind of miss you," you answered, to which her gaze softened upon hearing.

She seemed apprehensive but, relieved that nothing terrible happened, "You could’ve told me." she blinked at you as if she hadn’t been taking missions every single day.

"Yeah, but, you have way too many missions," you exhaled, holding your arm in guilt and hurt.

She paused for a moment before wrapping her arms around you. And it seemed to surprise you more than you did her. Her blood-stained hoodie held you as you embraced her back. She gave you the attention that you so desperately needed from her, and you could tell she missed you always by the way she held you. You took her in as she smelt just like the forest. It was the same smell you'd always associated her with and it made you feel like you were home. She held you like someone would hold a teddy bear that they received on Valentine's Day. You didn’t even notice how cold the forest was until she pulled away. She chuckled lightly, seeing your dumbfounded face. You looked up at her shining smile as you just got even more flustered at the sight. And whether you wanted to admit it or not, that smile always made your entire day. Especially when it was accompanied by a tint of pink on her cheeks.

"What am I going to do with you?" she teased, slightly smiling at you. She knew full well that she had the exact problem herself.

"Did the surprise attack get you at all?" you asked, feeling a smile creep on your face.

"Well, I knew you’d follow me, just didn’t know when you’d attack." she quoted attack, seeing as neither of you had been hurt at all. And it wasn't too much of a surprise at all.

"I do have a mission though," she muttered, not wanting to bring up such a dark topic whilst in such a light mood.

"I’ll go with you." you looked at her, just wanting to be with her.

She seemed taken aback by your response as she nodded in agreement. She had a light blush upon seeing how committed you were to be with her. Normally, she'd decline, knowing how hard her missions were and how much more was typically at stake with proxy missions. But, she just couldn't resist and couldn’t say no to the need for you to be by her side. And as the both of you went deeper into the forest, you got Kate’s target with her keeping a protective gaze locked on you. And in the end, you both had a great time being in each other’s presence once again and spent a good day after that just cuddling with one another to repair it.

Ah fuck forgot to post on tumblr again. Hi gang this is me here again with another fic for @chaos-company's Angstpril event. Same rules apply as ever: more fanfiction for Danganronpa v3's postgame in a virtual reality AU.

This post is for Day 24's prompt, "I Was Wrong About You," and features Kaito and Kokichi. Fun pair to have for that prompt in postgame, I think, and lets me dig into some of their own personal stuff they've had going on all month long. Day 24, Shallow.

Some years ago, i did a single (crappy) fanart representing my character in a videogame dearest to my heart : which is Final Fantasy 14! It technically worked as a Shallow entry, so i thought i’d redo it : but this time around, i wanted to set the thing straight up in the infamous 1.0 era of that game.

Something that became overlooked (way before “A Realm Reborn” version came out) was, there were many things you could’nt simply do in 1.0…

The game was clearly unfinished at that time (to say the least). But for some reasons, despite its unfinished state (and all the nonsense the game was built upon), i still get nostalgic when thinking about this aborted version : also because i mostly remember it as my very first mmo experience!

Anyway, the most basic things, like jumping, lifting your visor, having a simple mount (at least at the beginning) or simply “swimming” for instance, were not implemented in the game at first. And that last point will kinda make my whole entry for the Shallow prompt : the best you could do to actually get into water, was walking in small ponds and “shallow” rivers. In retrospect, i always find that detail kinda realistic tho! As swimming in armor in any video game is cheated to me : in the real world, it would be nearly impossible to swim with any kind of armor heavier than the lightest chainmail (you already get a very hard time swimming with only clothes on)…

So, you get it : noone could ever enter in water deeper than his knees in 1.0…

But how can you tell it’s 1.0?! Well, first, the visor of that helmet is always down: there’s no way to lift it up (at all). And the belt armor : it’s still an item you can get in game (called a “Tassette”), but the engine doesn’t bother rendering separate pieces for belt armors anymore (which is still a shame, ‘cause you could then get the most badass looks by simply mixing more pieces of sets!

So, here’s my entry!!
