Welp, it seems my fears of Angel Dust's sexual assault being as poorly handled as any raped victim written by Kodaka of Danganronpa fame seems to be true from what I've been hearing. Congrats Vivzie, if this is true, then you are just as bad as a writer as him, especially handling touchy subjects.

Also known as the area where an eldritch rabbit rambles, rants, redesigns, and reblogs things that I don't particularly like about certain series or their fandoms.

So, if you are a die hard stan of any show/movie/webcomic/etc. I talk about here, then please do not interact, for the sake of my mental health and yours!

With many of these shows, I am very set in my views, so if you want to talk to me about the pros/cons of the shows, that is fine, but be aware that I will not move from.

Series that will be talked about here: Av/'s Demon, L/re O/ympus, H/llva B/ss, H/zbin H/tel, P/rsona, D/nganronpa, S/even U/iverse and more that will be added as I think of them. (censored so that the shitty search system won't pick up on them, the respective fandom critical tag will be tagged on this post)

With that being said, please make sure that you are not just hate scrolling through any of these critical tags, as I used to. It was very much not healthy for my brain to be constantly exposed to negativity, and if you have been scrolling in a critical tag for more than an hour, I highly encourage you to take a break.

This is not me saying "you shouldn't criticize anything".

Far from it, considering what this blog is about.

It's more that, while it's important to crticise things that need criticizing and calling out people when they fuck up, you need to be able to separate yourself from anything negative and not become too wrapped up in all of this and keep your own mental health in check.

Sato deserved better. We got to learn plenty about Natsumi but not about her. She wasn’t even given a last name! And even when the story is supposed to be centered around her, she's treated like a mere plot device while attention is given to less relevant characters ( such as Hajime). For a series who insists that talent isn’t everything and that everyone has equal worth, time is rarely spent on those who aren’t Ultimates or to those who aren’t directly related to Ultimates.

the way that the game is so ambiguous can inspire so much creativity and less limitations on whats canon and not canon, but one of the cons of this was how the ambiguous and the nature of this game being largely up for interpretation messes up so many things when it comes to handling and portraying korekiyo's situation & trauma. at least in my opinion.

the game paints an illusion that the situation korekiyo in his sister was ambiguous on whether or not that korekiyo was in a consensual relationship with his sister, to the point of influencing many fans' treatment and view towards him. the game preferred to use korekiyo's situation with his sister and unhealthy views on love as a "huge shock factor", to demonize him more, while not really addressing to the fact that korekiyo was abused. i'd go far to say that korekiyo's sister older age, control and heavy influence on him was never meant to be seen as it alluding to her not being a victim of the dynamic, despite those things being the main factors in the grooming process. especially when its explained that kodaka wanted korekiyo's "character moments be about forbidden love" which downplays korekiyo's situation and hints towards abuse due to his sister's control (and manipulation, hinted by his tulpa that's based on his sister) of him.

how korekiyo's story is played out gives such mixed signals and is a mess. it was such a poor attempt at making his incest situation ''ambiguous'' for the sake of tying the whole ending of the game together and adding to the thoughts being expressed on lies and fiction.

The danganronpa writers really created a character who was the complete antithesis to hope’s peak and some major characters in later games only to pretty much play him for laughs and then kill him off early.

silly little man. representing the very thing the evil organization stood against and actively tried to prove wrong. and yet was still invited to be a part of their school. only to die. silly taka.

first zine i got into that actually came out🥹and it's doing absolutely amazing! i will be forever grateful with working with these people, i've been sort of witnessing everything since the beginning and oh my god i am just. extremely proud of this project, i think i finished this in december 2023 so the art style is a bit different compared to what i do now but i still think it's a decent piece! also i am never going to forget the moment when i sent out kiyo's design and someone told me it's so kiyo shaped LIKE THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST COMPLIMENT I'LL EVER GET🥺🥺🥺 and i wrote a fic for the first time even though it's super short so yea! this project is a lot of fun, thank you so much for having me i'm so happy i get to work with so many amazing people, please go download the zine and check out everyone else's work (especially if you love fics! we have so many it's insane and we actually managed to feature almost the entire danganronpa cast)

With Hazbin hotel coming one of my biggest (and most likely fears) is that the show will portray sexual assault just as bad (if not worse) then how Kodaka handled it with Mikan and Kotoko from Danganronpa. By that, I mean not only portraying the victim as a pervert with plenty of fanservice, but also can't decide to play it as black comedy or seriously.
