I'm having some thoughts, specifically about everyone's theorized date for the release/trailer drop for Hazbin vs the one confirmed for the Helluva Boss drop.

Mostly that if it's true that the Hazbin trailer/whole series is dropping on 7/7 while the Helluva Boss one is dropping on 7/8, then that's just kinda proof that Vivzie Can't Run Things For Shit.

Because why would you release two things literally a day from each other? Like you are going to draw away views from one for the other which, let's be real, isn't going to be Hazbin.

Like I'm half hoping that the fans who are theorizing that it's going to be released on 7/7 because of the slot machine in the back of the most recent Hazbin post are wrong, but if they are indeed wrong, I know there's going to be a storm of fans who are going to be genuinely upset.

On the flipside, you're probably going to have a lot of fans dropping Helluva, because from what I've seen, a lot of people mostly got into Helluva to tide themselves over until Hazbin dropped. So if the Hazbin trailer gets dropped or god forbid the entire series, you know that Helluva Boss views are going to drop even sharper than before.

TLDR; as I see it Vivzie is kinda fucked with either product and it's going to be kinda funny to see her realize this in real time, if it does happen.

I just had the horrible realization that the reason why any St/litz focused episode or any "emotionally driven" episode is so painful (not actually, more in a "eugh why did you right that" way): it feels less like an emotionally driven plotline and just a badly written whump fic.

Like everything just feels like it was made to torture the character and/or make the audience feel bad for the characters, rather than it contributing to some sort of narrative or character arc.

Which I know is some people's cup of tea, but it immediately makes things less interesting.

Like of COURSE there's drama happening between St/las and Bl/tzo, because the writers want you to feel bad for them and root for them to get together. There's definitely this weird "rooting more for stolas" vibe which is kinda a lot but it's still there.

Also because I nearly wrote this typo: I keep forgetting that. No time in this series did the two actually "get together". Like technically they were "together" in the sense that they were/are fuck buddies, which isn't bad, but the writers and the fandom act as if they had a relationship outside of that, which they very much didn't.

So having the plot try to get the emotions of "they're going through a rough patch in their relationship but it'll get better" when they never even had a relationship outside of sex is just not good writing.

Maybe I'm overthinking but i just wanted to let it out.

I just realized it's so funny for V/vzie to completely miss the point of "hey can you use colors other than red" because there were other colors (yellows, blacks, greys) it was that most of her characters never pop out from the background that they're up against.

This was ESPECIALLY shown with Ch/z, who was made completely green in a mostly green landscape. Like wow that's just missing the entire point of what we were complaining about!!

Like for example, making A/gel D/st pink wouldn't be a bad idea IF she didn't put him on a pink background. Same with Sir Pentious and putting him on a yellow background.

I have OCs who are single colors (mostly for story reasons) but I never have the background color be anything that was used for the main body because guess what: It just looks bad!!

Also the lack of varients of the colors also bugs me. Like it's either neon colors, put; no inbetweens.

And I would excuse it if she was like a young up-and-coming artist. But no, she went to art college and she's 30 years old she should start acting like it.

Sorry if that got a little to mean at the end but god it's frustrating.

Jesus christ there was so much shit brought up by this H/lluva B/ss episode huh?

Like it genuinely makes me uncomfortable the level that some stans are willing to do to defend V/vziepop just because she's an "indie" artist, from harrassment to blaming people for being upset to just borderline gaslighting sometimes?

Like I hate to use too strong of words but things like "actually it's your fault for reading too deep into these things" after saying "don't worry [x] character is going to get deeper don't you worry!!" make me think of gaslighting, even if that's not quite the term to use.

Also the vibes of "it's actually your fault if you find trouble with something" is absolutely rancid.

Like god forbid people ask for a goddamn trigger warning for something like domestic abuse that isn't played off for jokes. And honestly the fact that I have to put something like that just says how low of a bar my brain has sometimes.

Like, if something like SA or abuse that's played for jokes, I can tolerate it, mostly because pop culture has normalized those things being joked about. Mind you, I still won't like it, but I'll tolerate it.

But, if it's played for straight and is supposed to be emotional, then put a fucking trigger warning.

Hell, even for the above, you should STILL trigger warning it, because I (unlike the braindead stans of this show) acknowledge that my standards are not the same as other and I have the decency to acknowledge that people have different triggers, likes, and dislikes, so will need warnings and tags about what is connected.

You can tag something without "spoiling" it, and if that's the reason why she didn't tag something like that, then I'm going to be pissed.

Sorry about the rant, I just suddenly felt like. A lot of emotion bubble up and I needed to let it out. I mostly typed this out to get it out, but if anyone wants to talk about it, feel free to reblog and add your own thoughts about this whole thing.

Not the most recent Helluva Boss episode pulling out the sad piano music and then finishing with a gross gag in order to "off set it" in the last like 2 minutes of the episode.

Also I hate Beelzebub's design and her voice is. Fine. But she always didn't sound like the eccentric party girl that her design says she is.

Honestly in general just seeing it made me go "we're really getting this instead of a Hazbin trailer or the Barbie Wire episode?"

For a minute, I genuinely thought that even Vivzie didn't like it, but that's because my first reaction was to see if it was advertised on the Helluva Boss twitter, which it wasn't, and I only just saw that she talked about it being released ONLY on her main.

But, eh, I guess that's what happens when you view something as YOUR passion project instead of a team's passion project.

Having read V/vzie's Twitter thread about M/llie only showed, at least in my opinion, how little she plans out things for the show. She even more or less admitted that she didn't really know what to do with M/llie, and also doesn't even talk about some of the genuine problems with M/llie other than a brief "yeah we know that she and M/xxie were written to be a couple and we ended up doing more stories for M/xxie anyway".

It genuinely feels like it's supposed to be "NO GUYS TRUST ME SHE'S GOING TO GET HER OWN CHARACTER" but now if she doesn't deliver, the fans are going to go "...wait what you said there WAS going to be development".

Idk it's kinda funny to see how little V/vzie planned for the show, especially seeing that she only started planning for the plot AFTER the pilot.

Like, I may not know much about animation, but something about that seems off. Like yes, pilots are not always the exact thing (ex. Miraculous Ladybug, Owl House, ect.) but they at least have the same energy you know??

H/lluva B/ss doesn't have any of the energy of the pilot (like the pilot wasn't GOOD by any means but it wasn't that bad, even for me) and it sure doesn't give ANY confidence about H/zbin H/tel.

Also as a general note: i'm mostly doing th/s because I know that Tumblr's search system is shit which is why I've gotten into the habit of that so that any H/lluva or H/zbin fan REALLY had to go out of the way to see my posts.

Some of this art is Old As Hell, but here are some of our redesigns/ocs for worldbuilding for our universe that's a lot more just slice of life and less adventure

while i won't go into detail about these guys (as I am repurposing them into my own universe) little information about each image below the cut (there's a lot of info so sdafjopdas)

First, Asmodeus design where instead of having three heads, he has three forms: "human", bull, and sheep.

Second, Belphegor design where he's just a lazy, large, sleepy sheep.

Third is Leviathan who has two forms: legs with tail and a more "mermaid" appearance with a fish tail.

Fourth is Cola who is a former Lucifer imp who ran into the Lust Ring because the Pride Ring was "too boring" and is now with Asmodeus.

Fifth is Tonin (short for Melatonin), who is another former Lucifer imp who ran into the Sloth Ring because he was way too stressed and needed a break and ended up just getting taken in by Belphegor.

Sixth is Truffle, who is from a trade between Beelzebub and Leviathan and is now with Leviathan.

Seventh is Honeycomb, who is the other half of the trade between Beelzebub and Leviathan and is now with Beelzebub.

Eight is Spice, a very pampered little shit who is with Satan.

Ninth is Garnet, another very pampered little shit who is with Mammon.

Tenth is Beelzebub, who has the vibes of "it's not much, but it's honest work" and "country boy i love you".

Eleventh is Satan, who has gotten into a fist fight with Lucifer surprisingly only once.

Twelfth is Mammon, who is very much Columbia from Rocky Horror mixed with just over the top amusement park owner.

Thirteenth is a rough representation but also oversimplification of how the rings work in my universe.

Fourteenth is Aurora, who is an artificial demon chimaera because *gestures at both Cola and Tonin* and is owned by Lucifer.

And fifteenth, last but not least, is Lucifer himself, who has a crown made of the shards of his halo.

I feel like I dodged a bullet by not watching the most recent Helluva Boss episode.

I mean in general I feel like I would lose braincells by watching the series other than clips, but this one especially seems,,,rancid, from what I've gathered. Like I don't think it's the worst, again, from what I can tell, but it checks off every V/vzie box in a way that's impressive considering it wasn't even written by V/vzie.

Also known as the area where an eldritch rabbit rambles, rants, redesigns, and reblogs things that I don't particularly like about certain series or their fandoms.

So, if you are a die hard stan of any show/movie/webcomic/etc. I talk about here, then please do not interact, for the sake of my mental health and yours!

With many of these shows, I am very set in my views, so if you want to talk to me about the pros/cons of the shows, that is fine, but be aware that I will not move from.

Series that will be talked about here: Av/'s Demon, L/re O/ympus, H/llva B/ss, H/zbin H/tel, P/rsona, D/nganronpa, S/even U/iverse and more that will be added as I think of them. (censored so that the shitty search system won't pick up on them, the respective fandom critical tag will be tagged on this post)

With that being said, please make sure that you are not just hate scrolling through any of these critical tags, as I used to. It was very much not healthy for my brain to be constantly exposed to negativity, and if you have been scrolling in a critical tag for more than an hour, I highly encourage you to take a break.

This is not me saying "you shouldn't criticize anything".

Far from it, considering what this blog is about.

It's more that, while it's important to crticise things that need criticizing and calling out people when they fuck up, you need to be able to separate yourself from anything negative and not become too wrapped up in all of this and keep your own mental health in check.
