1) The house was not burned down in the making of this video (because that’s what would happen if I was really cooking with grease!).
2) Despite the “Gingerbread Bakery” sign above the kitchen sink, there’s been no gingerbread men in my belly!
3) The kitchen is a mess - I have two teenagers at home. IYKYK. And if you don’t, well it must be nice.
4) Singing and dancing are when I’m the happiest but if you’re tired of seeing it, then fuck off. These next few days I will sing and dance as much as I can because after next week, I’m out of commission until the new year. Enjoy the break.

Freak
"Dance like nobody's watching!"
I've always felt like someone is watching.
For as long as I can remember,
panic attacks and racing thoughts have just been life.
My four-year-old self was sure she'd never belong anywhere.
My ten-year-old self always felt every eye in the room on her.
My thirteen-year-old self sobbed because she felt so stupid.
My whole life I'd had to explain myself and how much I hated myself.
I've always had anxiety, but I just thought I was a freak.
A freak who would read for hours and hours and hours, pretending the characters were her friends.
A freak who could see her own ribs, who shook uncontrollably and was usually dizzy.
A freak who thought everyone was watching but knew, deep down, that no one cared.
One day, that freak will finally make a real friend. Over books and a shared class, she'll find a human that doesn't make her overthink.
One friend leads to another, and another, and another- and within two years, she won't recognize her life.
People will reach out.
She will remember how much she loves food.
She will learn about having anxiety and everything it means.
She will come out, first to her friends and then to her parents.
And she will start to love the freak.
It's a work in progress, but that girl is learning to dance.
