As much as 75% of the world's human population is intolerant to ingested dietary lactose.
Most humans cease to produce the enzyme lactase after weaning and as a result become lactose intolerant.
It is believed that the presence of lactase in humans is a mutation developed through the consumption of dairy.

Alright guys I'm gonna tell you the recipe for my favourite drink whether you like it or not
What you need: milk, heavy cream or half and half or sth similar, cinnamon, honey, and sugar (I use just normal white sugar, could prolly use sugar alternatives or a different type)
Step one: measure about 1 and a half to two table spoons of honey into a cup
Step two: put in however much sugar you like (I do 2 spoonfuls)
Step three: pour milk but leave enough space for some of the cream
Step four: add cream
Step five: add just a little cinnamon
Step six: mix until the honey and sugar dissolve into the drink
Step seven: optional but you can warm the drink if you want
I drink this whenever I get sad and it fixed everything I promise you its amazing

never feel more like I'm living in the parallel universe than when I see americans talking about their grocery prices and living costs and whatever. toronto is so fucking expensive it turns your brain inside out and you see people talking about $4 for 12 eggs or 1600/mo for a 1br apartment and you're like wow that sounds pretty good

Had a little oat milk this morning and I’ve got that irritating cramping again so I did a little research and it turns out that oat milk can cause problems if you have digestive disorders due to the types of sugars and fibers it has so I guess now I know it’s not in my head and I need to avoid it 🥹
