good omens fandom stop painting aziraphale as some kind of evil cruel person challenge: IMPOSSIBLE. christ on a fucking stick i'm really bloody tired of seeing all this bullshit of "aziraphale has to apologize!" "aziraphale doesn't deserve crowley!" "crowley should do [insert really petty/hurtful thing here] to get back at aziraphale!" (no i should not!! what are you even saying?!) like did we even watch the same bloody show? aziraphale doesn't need to apologize! yeah sure him leaving for heaven hurt but. he was doing what he believed was right and i don't blame him for that at all. i'll always be there for him someway or another like how do people even start to think i'd ever get revenge by being a dick (or worse! the list of suggestions i've seen people say included slapping him in the face like what the FUCK i'd rather drown myself in holy water first before ever raising a hand to him what is wrong with people). the hate towards him is beyond unfair and i'm so sick of it. can't believe people seem to miss that not everything is black and white. angel, i promise you that you didn't do anything wrong. you have nothing to apologize for and i swear you'd never have to "earn my forgiveness" or whatever bullshit people are saying. i might have not gone upstairs with you but i'd always be down on earth and i'd wait for you however long it takes. i promise.

ok, so, à propos to the Book of Life, uhm... have we noticed that the Good Omens book is the only book depicted with a plain red cover? No title, no anything? And it's also a shade of red that is definitely there to bring attention to the fact that it's *that* book?

I wonder, 'cause the editions I've seen here in bookshops only have a black/white version or the series poster version, is there any version of the original book that had a red hardcover?

And if not... shouldn't this... attract our attention? I think it's quite important that it is there... 👀

ive certainly seen a few copies of GO that don't have the archetypal black/aziraphale or white/crowley paperback cover... i have two copies for example; one is the crowley cover (littered with post-its and highlighted text), and my other is my actual 'reading' book, a special edition; that being said, ive personally never seen a red hardback cover for it!

but - in show - the name of the book is never mentioned, and the opening line is posed as a fun easter egg, same as the terry book earlier in the episode. as to why terry's book cover was shown, and not GO... well, i think it's just that it gets a little bit too meta for the narrative to feasibly handle; to hard-reference 'Good Omens'.

anyone who hasn't read the book will recall god's words at the beginning of s1, and it'll be a little fun thing, but maybe not much more than that. the fact that it's a cloth/leather hardback feels like it's more to be in-keeping with aziraphale's other books (that being said, the fact that both terry's book and crow road were noticeably paperbacks felt a little... off. not sure if there's anything to that, too).

however, the fact that jim even says it out loud is... interesting. just to have a blink-and-you-miss-it moment is one thing, something for the fans, but to literally read the line word for word? it does feel a little fishy, but overall i personally think it's just an easter egg!!!✨💕

I know it's a bit stupid, but I've been kin with Crowley (Good Omens) for literal years. I'm happy about the tv adaptation, don't get me wrong, but it's jarring to sudden have my obscure ID turned into one of the "super popular cringey" kintypes. I don't hate doubles or anything, but I really miss how things were before...

I have been in a Crowley shift for weeks and I am loving it ♥️
