xeo wasn't meant to land on earth.
once a simple abduction technician, xeo's days were spent analyzing human candidates but, in a twist of fate that involved hot coffee, a wet floor, and an overly-eager sixam flytrap, xeo found himself stumbling into a loaded expedition pod, accidentally triggering the eject sequence, and hurdling (mostly screaming) towards earth. now, with no money and no prospects, xeo has two options: find his way back to sixam, or join the species he's spent years observing millions of miles away....

I think a big problem in our culture is equating intent and effect, and this works both when predicting the effect and when determining the cause. It is important to remember that just as having good intentions does not excuse the harm one causes, so does someone having caused harm not always mean they intended to cause harm all along.
We are able to know our own thoughts, so when we cause harm we may easily downplay it because "that's not what I intended", as if that would make the harm go away. And when we judge others who cause harm, we similarly try to work backwards from the assumption that harm requires intent - and since we see the harm but not the intent, we assign intent somewhere where it may not even exist.
None of this is to excuse people who cause harm, but maybe to clarify that what we call evil is not some nefarious satanic mindset of ill intent, but rather a stubborn unwillingness to critically examine whether you might be causing harm even if you don't actively intend to, and even whether or not you truly care.
And the more power you have, the easier it is to distance yourself from the harm you cause and keep causing it.

Name:Matsuri Amai
Wish:"For my web series to be on the big screens"
Weapon:Directer horn
Ability:Motivated (Can hype up her or others power)
Witch:Kuroba
Despair:The network didn't care about her nor respect her ideas so Matsuri was trying to improve her show to get more ratings and canceled her show (That meant she was too busy to witch hunt)
She became a witch when felt betrayed that network for reeling her in with false promises and felt her improves were for nothing.

had an in depth conversation about our experiences of race and gender with one of my friend's housemates the other day while I was visiting and I'm still thinking about it. they kind of disagreed with how I see myself (as a white hispanic) for at least two reasons. the first one I would have pushed back on using the concept of optional ethnicities but we ran out of time, and the second had to do with how others see me, which is actually the same reason I identify primarily as white. like yes under gross older ideas about race I would not be considered white and there are many people today who would put me in some other category but most of the people I interact with assume I am white and treat me accordingly. it just doesn't feel like I can disclaim something that benefits me if it means claiming something else I have no connection to. not that there is no connection, but I am forever conscious of the ways in which my family has become disconnected from aspects of our ancestry, even if it was forced assimilation/attempted cultural eradication within living memory--like nuns literally beating my grandfather until he learned to speak english. I am the first generation on my mom's side to not speak spanish at all and beyond a personal loss it feels like maybe the forced assimilation really was effective and how do you undo that. that's just one example but it's just really complicated and I don't want to be seen as appropriative but also this is far from the first time someone/some institution has decided I am a person of color and it's just confusing and idk what to do in those situations.
