King of the Hill Revival
I was quite happy seeing this today! The idea of the revival has been up in the air for a while and it wasn't sure who was going to be involved or what it would be about, but I suppose it is getting the Futurama treatment and is going on Hulu. Now I want to make clear that I am very much in favour of a revival! The characters are so well defined and there are so many interesting things you could do with them in an updated world. When I'm watching the show with people, we always find ourselves wondering what Hank would think about this or how that kind of technology would be recieved by Arlen and ultimately I think are so many possibilities!! I hope that the general feel of the show is in tact but I cannot wait to see the changes that they make. It isn't easy to revive a beloved show and leave everyone happy (especially since the VA's for 2 of the regular characters have passed), but a lot of the original cast and crew seem to be coming back so it should feel familiar. I was also happy in particular to see that Pamela Adlon is coming back as Bobby! She does an amazing job of voicing him and although it would've been cool to see a new, older voice for Bobby I know she is going to give another iconic performance! It is unclear how Luanne and Lucky are going to be handled as well as Kahn (who the article avoids mentioning), but it is nice to know that it won't keep going right where it left off and is open to giving us a new perspective of life in Arlen. So, how do you feel about it? What kind of stuff would you want to see? For me I think another thing that's exciting is new material for Dale of the Day!

It’s also Lan Wangji’s main weapon that was included in the iconic “Lan Wangji calling Wei Wuxian his scene” where Wei Wuxian believes he’s pointing toward Bichen (Chapter 31). It’s a legend, and I would be doing a disservice to Jin Guangyao (who Bichen defeated in the first round of the Danmei Character Tournament) if I did not include it.

E-ming is the best boy. Hua Cheng forged his saber when he was defending humans who got caught in the middle of a big ghost battle for dominance, essentially. He dug out his cursed red eye and created E-ming from it. So his eye is on the pommel of the sword, right in the center above the handle, and it emotes!! When its happy, the eye curves into a crescent and it vibrates!!! It cries when Hua Cheng is mean to it in a fucked up sense of self loathing since his sword is born from him!! E-ming grows bigger when Xie Lian(Hua Cheng's god and eventual husband) kisses the blade, because silly erection joke! But also it begs Xie Lian for praise and attention because its BEST. BOY. Oh and I guess also the entirety of the heavens fears the cursed blade E-ming, which has the power to reopen any wounds its made an on an individual before. Just the thought of E-ming makes gods shake in their boots. But more importantly, he's best boy.

Ruoye is technically a demonic weapon or whatever as it doesn't need spiritual power to control, but that also might just be because it's sentient and has a will of it's own but is deeply loyal to Xie Lian obviously. Ruoye can extend REALLY far!!! And he can form protection barriers, and decapitate zombies, and chop vegetables. There's nothing this good bandage baby can't do!! Peak performance! AND it'll pretend to do a snake dance while Xie Lian plays an instrument while busking!! Isn't that adorable! Xie Lian wears it on his wrists usually, and sometimes Ruoye will like tighten or rub his wrists to express fear or comfort Xie Lian and its so cute. Ruoye is so good. Personally I think despite Ruoyes background being like. Horribly tragic, thats what makes it so Good. All that pain and suffering made this thing that ended up protecting Xie Lian all these 800 years. But I left it last in case it's too much.
(tw suicide mention) Ruoye was created after being soaked in Xie Lian's blood when it was used to tie him up while various people stabbed him with a sword a hundred times. Then when he was able to return home, it was used by his parents to kill themselves for a variety of reasons we won't get into. Then, upon finding them, he tried to kill himself too. But his cursed shackles prevented his mortal body from dying, so when he died he just came back; he came back to a silk bandage that after taking the life of 2 royals, and being soaked in the blood of a royal and former god and stuff, it came to life!! With resentment technically. But he's a good boy.

From what I remember, Mo Ran gifted him the Wangshu Crystal from the Carp Essence that was requested by Song Qiutong to help him cultivate/add to his sword, making it something similar to a “heavenly weapon.”

Crimson Rivers- Sirius Black
Just a Sirius Black appreciation post, specifically his character in @zeppazariel’s Crimson Rivers. (Spoilers up to chapter 56)
Y’all. So I already have an unhealthy obsession with Sirius Fucking Black. But gods his character in CR is something else.
Where to even begin??
The fact that he has the highest kill count of any other tribute??? That shouldn’t be as HOT as it is.
Or him killing someone without a second thought FIVE MINUTES into the games?? Again. The fact that I consider that hot is likely problematic but...whew.
Him being a sex icon and the Most Desirable, Mr. Charming, but turns into a blushing MESS when he’s around Remus??

Also I have to give appreciation to Wolfstar in this fic. I know a lot of people consider CR to be Jegulus-centric but the wolfstar moments are literally EVERYTHING to me, they give me AIR. Remus being so supportive and secure in navigating Sirius’s sexuality, the way they recognize that know matter what they are a constant thing, despite the distance between them. Sirius talking to the moon, Remus vibrating with excitement knowing he’s about to see his star again. Sirius letting Remus mark him up, knowing that they belong to each other and nobody else.
WHEW.

Hale's education began with his studies at the Norwich Art School and Boston Museum School.After graduating, Hale moved to England, where he studied at the Guild of Handicrafts.
