Today’s character of the day is: Kagami Tsurugi aka Ryuko formerally Riposte, Oni-chan and Lies from Miraculous Ladybug: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir

I usually write character x reader plots, but I wanted to do some short posts for character x character pairings (that I ship). I'm going to attempt to do a different ship every day for the entire month of November (30 ships at the least though I may do more if I finish early). I'm currently short 3 ships.

Im starting to wonder if it was the SUPREME that Lila/Cerise/Iris saw…

I thought about the same thing !! Maybe what Lila saw at the end of Re-creation that scared her so much was the version of the Supreme from Chat Noir and Ladybug world and not the one from the Re verse

Unless the Supreme in the Reverse world is a corrupted Master Fu, but then Hesperia called the supreme an "evil entity" in the french dubbage.

I thought that even if Cerise is in possession of a secret that could damage the relationship between Adrichat and Maribug, or even if she had really discovered Ladybug's true identity during Bug Noir final fight against Monarch, the presence of Bunnix in Ladybug's ranks could easily foil Cerise's future plans.

Also, Cerise/Lila/Iris doesn't seem to have the same financial and material resources as Gabriel, and without allies at her side, Lila/Cerise/Iris would have a hard time gaining the ascendancy of the miraclous team if she's all on her own. Even if she were to manage to create tensions and divide the team, Ladybug would still at least have Argos, Viperion, Ryuko and Bunnix on her side.

things would also be way more difficult for Chrysallis's akuma against Ladybug and Cat Noir since they can use the lucky charm and the cataclysm as many times as they want and without detransforming.

But if Lila came to have ally like the Supreme to support her, the scales would tip.

Belated birthday piece for one of my closest friends in the L&S community, the wonderful @ryuko-rose! This is of their character Galena, an alternate version of the Experiment Heat who is a member of a society called Laniakea. Laniakea (which also acts as a story/AU project on Ryuko's end) acts as a task squad for bad and ill fated universes, with agents like Galena here tracking down and stopping incidents or characters that could cripple such universes. Think like the Spider Society from "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" only way less corrupt and way more secretive.

there's something so charming about hunter, but in a soothing way

it doesnt mean she cant be silly ofc, but her eyes reflect so much of her moods and personality

when she's with the eagle she looks calm and gentle and much of the expressions she makes are towards the eagle; when nimue gets the bird, when the godslayer stuns the eagle and got one of the flaps and at the end of the game when he corrupts the eagle completely there were always a close at her face to show us how worried hunter was towards her friend

it's as if the eagle highlights hunter in some way, cause if you think about it hunter is not really an important person; she's an outsider and a stranger, and eagle mother is there not only to push her forwards, but she also works like this excuse to develop what lies inside hunter - her feelings

the more i think about, like no human(oid) character in the pathless have a mouth, which is an interesting decision - may it be because the animator said "nuh uh i aint doing this" or because they had other intentions - having no mouth makes it harder to humanize a character cause to do so you work around facial expression mostly

for characters like the diver or the little guy from journey it works cause humanizing them is not the focus - they are vessels for the player to experience the message of the game, much like a blank page, but hunter is a more defined type of character, she's not only for the player to control; there are instance where she speaks for herself (literally), she reacts towards her environment (like when she groans when she hits the ground), it's a bit of "i exist in relation to others" kind of thing i dont even know if this explanations make sense

the thing is, if you gonna hide the mouth (and it's funny cause they got rid of the mouths but not of the speech), to deliver something believable you have to put extra attention in other places, like eyes (which is probably the reason why they made her eyes big, for emphasis) and corporal expression (i love all of hunter animations like ALL of them, the idles are so cool and my favorite has to be the climbing one HAVE YOU SEEN THAT CREATURE)

another aspect that locks my eyes on hunter is her color palette; she feels a bit like 60% red and 40% black which an almost dangerous distribution cause it gets near the boring looking too evenly palette, but i feel like this problem is partially solved by the color choice cause black and red is very iconic (but i see that this can be subjective, so take it with a grain of salt)

to give some examples: im typing from an nitro acer (black red palette), you can see cars with that bright red (+black of the tires), and i can name a few characters with red+black combination, like matoi ryuko from kill la kill, kaguya, that masochist from that cassino games school (she's iconic i will recognize but i wont lose my time googling it i dont wanna know details about that anime)

(also if i had to point a match for hunter from another media....... kikyo my beloved i fucking love you my gay awakening i kept watching inuyasha cause i wanted to see you on my screen omg)

but at the same time her color scheme puzzles me: what does it mean? usually color is used for storytelling or readability purposes

hunter red black contrasts very well against the greens/whites/oranges of the landscape, mostly bc it's highly saturated; but then you get to the boss fight and......

i know that the boss fights dont take as many screen time as exploration but considering that they are the action moment hmm idk the math aint mathing here

well what's about storytelling? a bit of the same problem shown on the above image; hunter shares the color scheme with the corrupted tall ones and godslayer which makes things even more confusing

(seriously am i stupid and didnt see the obvious hint everyone else saw and im just here staring at the walls idk)

that said i have come up with my own worms to explain this and it comes down to: it's not from the land/natural

godslayer and the corrupted tall ones shouldnt exist, they are not natural to this world and actually an evil twist of the reality; hunter not necessarily is corrupted, but is also not natural (from the island), she's an outsider, it's about this feeling of not-belonging

however in the end of the day the color choice is also about readability and keeping things cohesive; stretching the color palette of the entire game just to give hunter a different look would do more damage than helping, imagine changing to something not that far like a pink or yellow, things still would change drastically

in the end i still love hunter very much ma babegurl <3 sillly stupid<333 my dear blorbo<333 hope she finds a lot of hobbies <33333

So what do we have to look forward in your art, besides the pregnant era.

If you're asking me what I'm into, I'm into power and control. Everything stems from that. I'm exclusively dominant.

I'll put a read more because the list is extensive. Oh, and just because it's on the list, doesn't mean it'll show up in my art. It's just a possibility.

I will add that I'm well aware of the difference between fiction and reality. I'm well versed in kink and, therefore, consent and limits. Many things I enjoy in fiction I would never do IRL because I'd not want to subject anyone to those things.

IRL, I like the three L's; leather, latex and lace. I enjoy giving pain, like flogging, whipping, shocks, ice and wax. I like orgasm control, denial, edging, etc. I enjoy bondage, but less for the act and more for the control.

Petplay and maidplay are good. Humiliation is good.

When it comes to fiction, I like things that are a bit more extreme.

The idea of turning someone into something their not, like breaking their will, mind control or brainwashing is something I like a lot. I like the idea of pushing people beyond their breaking points, forcing them into scenarios, etc.

Corruption is nice. I like the idea of taking away someone's purity or morality, usually inch by inch, rather than an immediate swap. Things like hero to villain, defeat, loss of faith, etc.

I like the idea of people going feral and just breaking loose of all their inhibitions, for good and bad.

I enjoy size difference. I think I prefer taller sub, but smaller sub isn't bad either.

What I'm willing to indulge in for pain goes up when dealing with fiction. I don't do choking, bloodplay, fire or some of the more dangerous methods of dealing pain IRL. In fiction, I'm okay with it because there's no risk. Vampirism, in particular is, hot. Branding/tattooing ownership is very nice too.

I enjoy playing with consent in fiction. I don't really go in for full non-con, but pressure, dubious consent, blackmail, etc, is something I don't mind.

I go back and forth on incest. Basically a case-by-case basis. For example, I don't mind art of Ryuko and Satuski. Or the outcome of Kalikke and Kanerah romance in Kingmaker. But other times, it just feels awkward to me.

Timey Wimey…Uh Oh: OFFICIAL DESIGN: King Cobra

King Cobra, alternatively known as Luka Couffaine, the oldest brother of Juleka Couffaine now Mistress Tigress. Luka is at least 24 years old, being a part of the old Miraculous Team as Vipereon for three years before Shawdow Moth got ahold of all the Miraculouses. He is very experienced with the use of the Snake Miraculous and has a very close bond with the snake kwami known as Sass. Luka Couffaine was the very first person to know Ladybug and Chat Noirs identities. He was supposed to be the one trained to take Chat Noirs place if anything were to happen to him but that honor was given to Ladybugs childhood friend and Chat Noirs closest friend, Nino. Before the corruption Luka was the oldest member on the Miraculous team as he was one year older than all of the team members including Ladybug. He was very chill and cool headed, he was also Marinette’s first boyfriend for a year but they had to break up as her duties of being Ladybug and Guardian kept them apart. Though he still loves Marinette very dearly and does have some lingering feelings for Marinette, he knows her and Adrien were meant to be and their miraculouses proved that. Luka along with Alya and Nino were the biggest Ladynoir shippers and even helped in getting the two together. Down the road Luka spends a lot of time with the dragon heroine known as Ryuko aka Kagami, due to them being patrol partners for close to two years. The two eventually have their own shipping fandom just like Ladynoir does and start dating. Luka finds Kagami’s inner music calming, soothing, and smooth but at the same time it feels like her song is always on fire adding a mixture of calmness and chaos. During the corruption he is very protective of the Dragon villainess.

Before the corruption Luka was always careful, kind, gentle and sensitive to others feelings. After the corruption he is cold-hearted and cruel, he likes to tear apart his victims feelings, teasing them over and over again, he plays with their feelings and even reverses time so he can endlessly have his fun bullying them, though he does not act this way with Marinette or his team. His relationship with Marinette no longer has any romantic feelings as he moved on through the years and even started dating Kagami. He sees Marinette as another little sister that he has to protect. He learns of Marinette’s old mentor Master Fu and despises the old man for leaving Marinette alone and for shunning Chat Noir.

Luka is notified by Alya that after Shadow Moth gets ahold of all the Miraculouses that Marinette places a mask of happiness on and hides her emotions, going to the point of lying to him about her depression. It gets worse when Marinette just stops going to school at all, staying locked up in her room. Luka tried to talk to Marinette about talking to her friends or her partner about how she was feeling but Marinette remained stubborn saying she’s already ruined so many lives she doesn’t need to ruin what little happiness her partner has now that he’s finally free from having a tragic love with her. Luka has Alya report to him about how Marinette is doing. Things didn’t get better, Marinette’s depression got really bad and her trauma of losing the kwamis got to the point Marinette couldn’t stand being near Adrien which broke the poor lovesick fools heart. Luka begins to grow a deep hatred for whoever betrayed Marinette and has a burning hatred for Monarch. Everything then started to get serious when a powerful Akuma brutally murdered Ladybug(Marinette) on Live television, leaving Luka the terrifying realization that Marinette will be stuck in this never ending bloody battle with Monarch who wants her dead. This is a stepping stone to King Cobras corruption

He has the power of the Snake Miraculous but boosted. The corrupted Akuma mixed with the Miraculous allows him to use second chance as many times as he wants. He can go back in time for a long period of time and even manipulate what happens in those periods of time both past and present. His second power is Last Chance, since second chance gives the chance to reverse time Last Chance takes away the target's chance of victory meaning he can steal their chances of victory from the lucky charm or any of his enemies. Using his voice he can charm his enemies to gain control over their bodies forcing them to do his bidding. He has the animal tendencies of a King Cobra snake and has a very venomous bite. King Cobra has the ability to turn into a snake so he can sneak up on his enemies. He can summon snake minions, his favorite being Kaguri who is named after his girlfriend Kagami, his snakes have the ability to also bite people and turn them into his slaves. He has two powers: Second Chance, and Last Chance. King Cobra can also see into different timelines through different snake miraculous holders eyes. He is able to manipulate timelines as well which does not help Marinette and eventually leads to the timeline being torn apart while trapped in the past.

He is a stable person to be around unless you say something triggering that makes him snap and violently attack you. His relationship with his akumatized team is general in command under Alya who leads the attacks and is the right hand man for Chat Blanc who plans the attacks. King Cobra is like a big brother to all of them and is very protective of them, it is best not to threaten or be near his team while he’s unstable. He fights hard to help his team capture Marinette so they can corrupt her and she can be free from the painful duty of being Ladybug…no Monarch or Argos means no sad Marinette. Maybe then Adrien and Marinette could actually be together and Sass could be back in Marinette’s warm embrace with his other kwamis. Though he is still Luka his miraculous is corrupted meaning Luka is also corrupted. If he wishes to King Cobra can detransform back into Luka though the Akuma has merged with the Miraculous.

The reason why the corrupted miraculous hero’s prefer to stay transformed is because when they are not transformed the Akumas hold is weaker and some times their old selves come to light but the corrupted kwamis like to remind their holders why they are doing this as the kwamis also have the same goal; corrupt Marinette so they can have their family whole again as the corrupted kwamis miss their guardian and Tikki. The corrupted kwamis are manipulative and their words are like poison venom that their holders feed off of. They are always successful at getting their holders back on track. Though the team does detransform sometimes so they can hang out with their kwamis as they missed them over the years that Monarch had them.

King Cobra likes to play with Marinette…he knows how powerful and smart she is with or without the Miraculous so he likes to test her limits and see what she comes up with to win, he has a lot of fun when Alya breaks the timeline and brings different versions of Miraculous hero’s into the past timeline, especially when they are different versions of Marinette with other miraculouses. He just likes testing Marinette whether its her older self or her younger self. King Cobra sticks close with Mistress Tigress, as the siblings are always together.

Because Monarch melted down the ancient Miraculouses of the very first miracle box that ever existed. The Miraculous feel incomplete, no longer whole or able to support the Kwami that inhabits the Miraculous. The rings feel wrong to the ancient magic that was used to create and protect the Miraculous and the Miraculous is trying to fix itself whenever it can with the kwami's powers. But due to Monarch using them mainly for transferring the power of the Miraculous over to the Akuma, the Miraculous no longer has the power to fix itself.

So when Monarch had the stupid idea to kidnap all of Ladybug's team and force the rings on them and then akumatize the rings. The Miraculous used the Akuma to fix itself while using the Akumas magic to make itself complete all while corrupting the Kwamis and the users. The Miraculous begins to use the Akuma and suck the Akuma of all of its magic, so it's a never ending cycle of the miraculous stealing magic from the Akuma and the Akuma stealing magic from the butterfly miraculous that it's being powered by, the Miraculouses start to become corrupted because the Akuma is giving them the wrong kind of magic to fix the Miraculous and make it complete.

The miraculous, the Akuma, and the holder merge into one with their soul, and that's how it's corrupted because the miraculous is feeding off of the Akuma and the body that's attached to the miraculous is feeding off the magic of the corrupted miraculous to get strength and be powerful.

Luka knew something bad was going to happen the moment Monarch forces the Snake ring onto his finger, the feeling of dread and hate burning through his body as the ring was akumatized he watched as it turned back into the old snake miraculous form of a bracelet. He tries to fight it and ends up almost succeeding but then the cries of Sass are heard and Luka realizes he and Sass are in his mind. Sass starts crying saying they are happy to finally be reunited and freed from that cruel man. Saying they can’t wait to be back in Marinette’s warm home eating croissants with Tikki and his other kwamis. Then he breaks out sobbing realizing that will never happen, Luka tries to comfort his friend but Sass keeps going on about how him and his kwamis will never get the happy ever after with Marinette. Sass takes it a step further, saying that their poor Guardian will never be free from her never ending duties as Ladybug as long as Monarch and Argos lived…as long as people like them existed. Sass slowly goes through Lukas memories, showing him all of the time Sass and his kwamis were happy with Marinette, showing Luka the times they spent together when he was Vipereon, making him feel the happiness he felt as Vipereon only for Monarch to take it away. The corruption takes ahold, taking Lukas anger and hate for Monarch and Argos, digging him deeper into the corruption.

Sass then reveals the Chat Blanc and Ephermal Timeline to Luka…revealing everything. Monarchs identity is revealed and the corruption takes complete hold as Luka curses Gabriel for ruining any chance of happiness Adrien or Marinette had. Sass continues to add more to the fire, he adds the torture the kwamis went through under Monarchs rule, Marinette loneliness and her depression. Luka sees how unfair Marinette and Adriens destinies were. Sass takes advantage of this.

“Isn’t it not fair? Why does that man get to know happiness and joy while he takes it from his son? While Marinette can’t enjoy love? Why does he ruin everything yet get away with it.” Sass asks sadly as he curls around Lukas neck. “If only we could manipulate the timeline…make sure people like Gabriel Agreste never exist, maybe then Marinette and Adrien could love one another without fear of Gabriel knowing.” Luka liked the idea, “Maybe we could make sure to wipe Gabriel Agreste off the timeline…then we can be free.”

“Then everyone can be free…”

Luka knows its wrong, but he wants to do it, he wants the power to manipulate the timelines, he wants to give Marinette and Adrien their happy end, he wants their family back together.

“Don’t you want them to be free?” Sass asks as he holds his miraculous out. Luka takes it and the corruption is complete.

Monarch learns not to fuck with a snake, they tend to bite and this snake enjoyed biting and ripping his eyes out. After all an eye for an eye. the peacock on the other hand…well he knows Marinette called dibs on that one…but the past Hawkmoth? Oh what fun he would have.

Besides all that he has a wedding to plan for his dear leader Chat Blanc, he just has to catch the bride first.

"...I'll be honest: it's only because of his friendship with Oki and the influence of his older brother that I bother to communicate with this young man. I understand he has left the... gang life behind him, but it's quite obvious that his time with them has had an effect on him. He reminds me much of Oki, himself, which is why it doesn't surprise me that the two of them have such a good relationship with each other. His PROFILE usually just has him posting about how tired he is, how tiresome people are, etc. Like I said, I applaud him for leaving his gang life behind, but it will be a long while before I can actually be bothered to have an actual conversation with him."

"I'm actually on good terms with Maki-san since he teaches both Akeno and Una. Maiya was the one who introduced us since the two of them often speak with each other in the library at Tokyo University. He is a good man with an impressive intellect, but I'm a bit worried he may be corrupting his students with his passionate talk about overthrowing Chuohku and the government. I understand his feelings, but I really wished he'd considered the time and place for such talk. He even has taken to PROFILE to post his sentiments. Surprisingly though, he has garnered a lot of support on the site since many people agree with what he is saying."

Or worse, meet people that they used to date in an attempt to rekindle their past relationships."

"The latter happened quite recently, I'm afraid. Apparently, a woman was using PROFILE to reconnect with a lover she had been seeing for the past few months or so. They used to date, apparently. And when they found out that they both had PROFILE pages, they felt it was a good time to meet again... and continue their former relationship. Anyway, the woman's husband was growing suspicious of her spending so much time online and why she was always coming home so late. He hired Inspector Edogawa to find out."

Eiji sighs, rubbing his head. "I don't know who he talked to, but somehow the Inspector was able to hack into the woman's account and had found dozens of PMs (Private Messages) between her and her lover, plus some rather... explicit photos, all of which he had revealed to the rather irate husband, who proceeded to spread the news of his wife's infidelity to everyone who would listen. What followed afterward was a complete and utter shitstorm. Pardon my language."

Alright The show since the beginning had many flaws

1-repetitive monster of the week which worked in the first season but needed to be broken to actually make a plot

2-clear priority and power in-balance with how Adrien story would play out exactly the same without ladybug if he was actually good at planning since he can kill Akumas which seems more practical than purifying since they could be corrupted again and how ladybug has 2 powers (fixing which also implies destroying things like stormy weather ice) instead of 1 like everyone else (cat noir night vision doesn’t count since they never used it again and ryuko 3 powers are part of the same power) and how Marinette she’s shoved into the agreste family plot (Adrien still sucks but I feel if they keep character development and actually made him the one to get the development,[like in copy cat he was the one in need of learning the lesson not ladybug] I Beth he would be a decent character with a arc of being a selfish piece of trash because of he’s lack of interacting outside of he’s parents making him want to be the one in control and be he’s way even if others don’t like it to understanding others and learning he’s parent are actually awful parents and needs to make he’s own person apart of everything he’s parent are)

3-trying to restart the status quo too much which is excusable in the first seasons but when you get to season 2 final episodes,that really is the deadline of status quo in series with a plot and the way they tried to undo Chloe’s development in style queen by making Marinette make them rebound Is just awful for kids and shows this unhealthy thing the show has to always forgive your parents for always mistreating,neglecting and abandoning you because they’re your parents no matter what they do to you they’re right which is just awful and that unhealthy relation Chloe had with her mother is the cause of Chloe mistreating people shows how bad their relationship was for Chloe and why it was needed to be cut and burned with fire

The show always had weaks and strengths but the more episodes came out the more cracks started to appear (especially in style queen finale) and when there was too many cracks it fell apart not only everything to come next but most of what came before as well,the show slowly charged a gun which shoot itself with in season 3 and season 4 is just the medics trying to keep it alive after not noticing the obvious signs of psychological illness the patient had

I wish I could go back in time when season 2 was in development and change style queen finale (breaking their relationship and punishing Chloe for the train thing) and malediktor start and finale (Audrey trying to manipulate Chloe by the promise of getting rid of dupan Cheng,giving her the same thing she offered to Marinette and Chloe realizing it was all only a trick) so Chloe could have separated from her mother and possibly keep that cracked mask the show had in the first 2 seasons with a actually decent character

You pretty much hit it on the head, anon.

It really feels like Season 3 was the moment where the show lost a lot of the magic that captivated audiences, as it failed to really capitalize on several opportunities presented in favor of taking the safe route despite trying to be more plot-driven. A lot of the screwups in that season (spending time on plotlines that would go nowhere, two different episodes teasing identity reveals, and botching Master Fu’s backstory) really affected how future episodes would play out.

The Brainwashing of Ryuko - A Bloodied Wedding Dress (EP 20)

Trigger Warning // R*pe, sexual assault Nui stitches Junketsu's life fibers together with the life fibers inside of Ryuko's body. From a metaphorical standpoint, we could argue that this is some acute foreshadowing to Ragyo's control (Junketsu's life fibers) mixing up with Ryuko's memories (her own life fibers), with her past, and with everything she stands for... and eventually overwriting them. Ryuko loses grip, and Ragyo, very deliberately, hits her weakest point during her most psychologically vulnerable state. Through Junketsu, Ragyo is now able to pry into Ryuko's deepest subconscious. To reach her biggest wishes and desires, her best and worst memories, the core of what makes Ryuko, Ryuko. Now, Ragyo knows all about the deep loneliness of little Ryuko. About the neglect, the bullying - the desire for a damn parent. And so, Ragyo uses this knowledge to her advantage. Just at a horrifying moment when Ryuko has no idea who she is, what her past truly meant, and what she's really fighting for... Ragyo eagerly barges in to fill those gaps for Ryuko. She creates an illusion of Ryuko's most desired reality, and plants fake memories in her head - overwriting her real, painful ones. We see images of little Ryuko during important events of her life, such as her birthday, or her first day of school. Images of Ryuko playing outside, and going to her first ever prom. Now, what's common about these fake memories? About the memories she wished she could have had? Her mom was with her. In Ryuko's real life, she was abandoned at an orphanage by her father, and never knew her mother. So Ragyo gave her a feigned illusion of what she wanted most of all things; a loving parent to celebrate her birthday with. A parent to cheer her on during her football matches, a parent in the audience to watch her school plays. A parent to hug. I believe that all of that pain was pictured through a bloodied wedding dress. Deep down, it truly hurt Ryuko that whenever she'd get married, nobody would be there to walk her down the aisle. She's so damn strong, but deep down, Ryuko is still an abandoned, scared, lonely child who needed love. So Ragyo corrupts her head with memories of Ragyo giving her exactly that. And poor Ryuko... poor Ryuko caves. She is going to fight for her parent who gave her that love, and all those who dare to stand against her...she's going to fight for the life she's always wanted. All according to plan. As this is established, Ragyo (and Nui joins in too, YIKES) then proceeds to r*pe Ryuko, in the midst of brainwashing her into servitude and dependence using all of these good memories. Why? Why was that necessary, Ragyo? Was the whole overwriting of her memory not enough, did you have to pepper in some lifelong trauma to seal the brainwashing? Well.. unfortunately, other than just being a disgusting individual who gets a kick out of controlling others, there is one more reason. She is r***ing Ryuko while simultaneously corrupting her mind with all of these joyful memories. And so, she is conditioning Ryuko into associating the r*** with good memories. Ragyo wants Ryuko to believe that all these icky things are part of the happiness Ryuko wants so badly. This also very much explains why a brainwashed Ryuko kissed Nui. 

..... (this was written by my cat who walked over my keyboard, so imma just leave it here) It is implied that this aforementioned event too, is a false memory planted into Ryuko’s head. Still, whether it really happened or not, it was the last straw that truly pushed Ryuko over the edge. Because shortly after this, episode 20 ends and Ryuko fully surrenders to Junketsu’s influence. To evil. All according to plan.
