the how to contact your reps guides i have seen so far are all us and canada based but if you are in europe and want to put add pressure so your government takes action, voices in europe for peace is a page that makes it ridiculously easy. all you have to do is a simple search and copy, adapt, and send an email.

You guys, I contacted my rep about Palestine. I have anxiety. I have depression. I have zero motivation for anything except sleep and TV. You can do it too. Take 5 minutes out of your day and use your voice for humankind.
You don't even have to call them. Most reps have a website where you can submit messages. They might not reply, but the more they hear about Palestine, the more we Americans speak up, the more we refuse to support genocide, the more likely actual change is to happen. I am just a part of this fight, and I encourage everyone to join and do their part.

if people (who are registered to vote in the US) are looking to contact their reps and senators about S.686 (RESTRICT act or the TikTok ban bill), here’s a great video explaining how to find and reach them:
https://www.tiktok.com/@sayheyjames/video/7214624676419554606
and here’s what I sent to mine if you’re having trouble thinking of what to say (i literally copy pasted for all of them, feel free to edit as necessary but make sure you actually say S.686 and/or RESTRICT act instead of just Tik Tok ban):
I am a voter in your district and I would like to voice my extreme opposition to S.686 RESTRICT Act. If you choose to vote in favor in the RESTRICT Act, I will vote for your opponent in the next primary. This bill is an egregious violation of privacy, and a shocking display of an attempt at governmental overreach. I hope that you consider voting against S.686.
as with all internet restriction/censorship bills, this one is so so so important and can change everything for the worse. ik that analysts say it only has a 5% chance of passing, but that’s 5% more than there should be. please contact your reps and senators and let them know that you’ll be voting/campaigning against them in the primaries.
i may not like or use tik tok, but a lot of people do and a lot of those people use it to spread important information. no one should have the power to censor the internet.

I’ve been seeing a lot of news recently about book banning efforts in America targeting books that contain queer characters or authorship, “sexual content” (which really means anything from kissing to explanations of what happens to your body during puberty), and discussions of race, so I wanted to put together a little guide on what you can do in your community to help!
1. Use your public library
Okay, I know I preach about libraries basically all the time, but for real. Using your library means that the library gets more funding to purchase books or support programs. Checking out a book tells the library that this book is interesting and valuable and worth keeping around. If you know about a book  coming out that has content that the book banners object to, then ask your library to purchase a copy and follow up on it a few weeks later to see if they have. Then actually check out that book!
2. Get involved in your local government
When ballot issues about funding for your library pop up, vote! Make sure they have the money they need to keep going. Your library will (probably) also have board meetings every so often. Go to them (or watch them online) and comment during them.
3. Raise awareness
This one is admittedly a bit tricky. The types of groups trying to get books banned thrive on the attention they receive. Some of the guides I looked at recommended not celebrating banned book week as to keep the focus off of potentially controversial material that might make libraries a target. Instead, it’s better to highlight all of the great things the library is doing to preserve access to a variety of books to their community. However, if a group is already making a ruckus in your area, then it’s time to get involved. Share your support of what your library is doing on social media or to your local news. Remember those board meetings? Yeah, it’s time to share your feelings there, too.
If you’re involved with your local public or school library, then this page from the ALA (Fight Censorship) is something you should save. It has a ton of resources for what to do in every step of the fight.

FREE PALESTINE
To all my American followers, please please contact your representatives. Use this link to help you find contact info and scripts and email options for your representatives. They need to know we do NOT support the occupation of Palestine nor the inhumane acts of the Israeli government in the Gaza strip. We need to do as much as we can to help.

Hello hello! You seem super educated about fighting shitty bills, so how/where can I send things to combat KOSA?
I wouldn't say I'm super educated on this topic. I just passed along a more-useful-than-average chunk of info I happened across because some of my politically active friends shared it elseweb.
That said, a bit of searching goes a long way if you know what to look for.
For KOSA in general, there's actually a designated website for why and how to fight it:
And groups like the EFF are also on the job:
In general, if you have an address in the USA, you can find who represents you and how to contact them in several places.
There are several US government official sites:
https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials
https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member
http://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
Each state government also has similar sites for the next layer of government down, and counties often do as well. (Local laws have a big impact, too, and set precedents for larger movements!)
There are various non-profit orgs as well, such as Common Cause, who help streamline the process:
Hopefully others can share more resources in comments or reblogs!

i went to a uscpr webinar where rashida tlaib was a speaker. here are some things i came back with
it is more effective to spend time pressuring elected officials who will be running again in the next election cycle, as your vote holds more sway over them. don't stop contacting people who this doesn't apply to altogether, but know what to prioritize
tlaib says that zionist orgs and groups are also calling in, in a very organized way, to the point where when there's any legislation regarding palestine about to be put up to vote, the ratio of calls will often not be in our favor. part of the point of calling in, getting others to call in, doing so frequently, doing so in groups, etc, is to combat this pressure
many of tlaib's coworkers who are not already fighting for a ceasefire or a free palestine are surprised by how long the public outcry has been going on in the us. some of them believe or suspect that tlaib is somehow in control of the sustained response and have asked her about it
they are aware that the public outcry is not coming solely from palestinian and arab constituents. they are seeing people of different ethnicities and backgrounds physically come in
they believe we will forget about palestine by summer
if calling your reps is part of what you're doing for palestine, continue doing so and prove them wrong. if you haven't called your reps, do so. leverage the preliminary icj ruling to get your reps to (at minimum) implement sanctions and call for a ceasefire
consider joining a daily call group on whatsapp by searching for your state in this document, which was put together by celebrate mercy
or volunteering for a phonebank (under the rsvp section) with the nyc dsa where you'll call people and ask them to contact their reps about a ceasefire. this will be over zoom every tuesday, and you'll be provided with numbers and a script. there's no obligation to join every time, it's an open invite, and they will usually explain what's happening before you get started
