“Hidden but Not Hidden” By Bible Love Notes:
“Psalm 119:11 says: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
In this verse, hidden doesn't mean concealing God's Word. It means storing it up and treasuring it in our hearts.
If you read all 176 verses of Psalm 119, you'll discover many ways that the psalmist hid God's Word in his heart. For example:
Psalm 119:9-16: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.”
In these verses, the psalmist hides God's Word by:
1. Obeying it – verse 9. “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” —James 1:22‭-‬25 (NLT)
2. Seeking God in it – verse 10. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
3. Studying it with the Spirit's help – verse 12. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” —John 14:26 (NKJV)
4. Reciting it – verse 13. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” —Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
5. Enjoying it – verse 14. “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.” —Psalm 19:8 (NLT)
6. Meditating on it – verse 15. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” —Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
7. Spending time regularly in it – verse 16. “—”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)

Don't Put God On Hold
Recently I've felt far from God. I feel like my testimony is a series of highs and lows. Moments when I'm full of the Holy Spirit and moments when I'm full of my flesh. Recently I've been very worried about what college life will entail. I'm worried that I will fall victim to sin or that I'll miss out on "college milestones" as a result of my being a Christian. I'm worried I'll be labeled as weird prudish or even judgemental. However, it is silly to be worried about things that have not even happened. As I began to be worried I stopped reading my Bible, began listening to sinful music again, and giving in to my other common sins.
Despite all of this God was still close by. He hadn't left. I kept seeing reels about Jesus. I kept hearing those around me at Church spread the Gospel. And I kept wishing to feel the love and peace I felt when my heart was on fire.
Today it was through reading Colossians 1:13-20 that I saw the centrality of Christ not only in my life but in the universe and existence itself.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Christ has never left me ever since I committed myself to Him. I know that I am overburdened by my worries and that I often am lazy when it comes to my faith. I tend to not read my Bible for weeks and then go crazy reading scripture and repeat. This cycle occurs because I continue to give in to the same sins. The same fears. The same sadness. By pushing Him to the back I've pushed myself over the edge. God is my strength. For HE IS THE BEGINNING. HE IS MY BEGINNING AND ENDING AND EVERYTHING. I cannot live without Him. My time away from Him (evident in my absence in positing) has shown me that even when I'm far from God I'm still thirsting after him because he is the only one who satisfies.
Colossians 1:9-12 is a prayer for spiritual strength, knowledge, and wisdom of God. I pray this over myself and over every one of you who reads this. Know that God loves you and once you commit to Him even in your worst times He is just waiting for the moment for you to reach out to Him.
 9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Parable of the Prodigal Son:
Jesus conveyed a profound message about forgiveness, redemption, and the boundless love of God. Let's reframe the narrative within this Christian context, drawing from Luke 15:11-32, and infuse it with additional biblical insights.
A certain man had two sons. The younger son asked for his share of the inheritance and journeyed to a distant land where he squandered his wealth in reckless living. Soon, a severe famine swept through the land, and the young man found himself in dire need.
In his desperation, he sought employment feeding pigs, a job that symbolized his degradation and distance from his upbringing. Yet, in his lowest moment, he came to his senses and decided to return to his father, confessing his sins and seeking forgiveness.
His father, filled with compassion, ran to greet him while he was still far off. Instead of condemnation, the father embraced his wayward son, clothing him in the finest robe and celebrating his return with a lavish feast.
Meanwhile, the older son, who had remained obedient and dutiful, grew resentful at the extravagant welcome given to his brother. But the father, ever merciful, reminded him of the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation.
This parable echoes the essence of divine mercy and the unconditional love of God. Just as the father welcomed back his repentant son, so too does our Heavenly Father eagerly await our return, ready to forgive and restore us to fellowship with Him.
The Prodigal Son reminds us of the importance of humility, repentance, and forgiveness in our Christian journey. It challenges us to examine our attitudes towards others, particularly those who have strayed from the path, and to emulate God's boundless love and compassion.

The άνάλαβος (analavos) is the distinctive garment of a monk or a nun tonsured into the highest grade of Orthodox monasticism, the Great Schema, and is adorned with the instruments of the Passion of Christ. It takes its name from the Greek αναλαμβάνω (“to take up”), serving as a constant reminder to the one who wears it that he or she must “take up his cross daily” (Luke 9:23). The ornately-plaited Crosses that cover the analavos, the polystavrion (πολυσταύριον, from πολύς, “many,” and σταυρός, “Cross”) — a name often, though less accurately, also applied to the analavos — reminds the monastic that he or she is “crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).
With regard to each image on the analavos, the rooster represents “the cock [that] crowed” (Matthew 26:74; Mark 14:68 Luke 22:60; John 18:27) after Saint Peter had “denied thrice” His Master and Lord (John 13:38).
The pillar represents the column to which Pilate bound Christ “when he scourged Him” (Mark 15:15) “by Whose stripes we were healed” (Isaiah 53:5; I Peter 2:24).
The wreath garlanding the Cross represents the “crown of thorns” (Matthew 27:29; Mark 15:17; John 19:2) that “the soldiers platted” (John 19:2) and “put upon the head” (Matthew 27:29) of “God our King of old” (Psalm 73:13), Who freed man from having to contend against “thorns and thistles in the sweat of his brow” (Genesis 3:18-19).
The upright post and the traverse beam represent the stipes and the patibulum that formed “the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians 6:14), upon which “all day long He stretched forth His hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people” (Isaiah 65:2; Romans 10:21).
The four spikes at the center of the Cross and the hammer beneath its base represent the “nails” (John 20:25) and hammer with which “they pierced” (Psalm 21:16; John 19:37) “His hands and His feet” (Luke 24:40). when they “lifted up from the earth” (John 12:32) Him Who “blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us by nailing it to His Cross” (Colossians 2:14).
The base upon which the Cross stands represents “the place, which is called 'Calvary' (Luke 23:33), or 'Golgotha', that is to say, the Place of the Skull” (Matthew 27:33), “where they crucified Him” (John 19:18) Who “wrought salvation in the midst of the earth” (Psalm 73:13).
The skull and crossbones represent “the first man Adam” (I Corinthians 15:45), who by tradition “returned unto the ground” (Genesis 3:19) at this very spot, the reason that this place of execution, “full of dead men’s bones” (Matthew 23:27) became the place where “the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (I Corinthians 15:45).
The plaque on top of the Cross represents the titulus, the “title” (John 19:19-20), with “the superscription of His accusation” (Mark 15:26), which “Pilate wrote” (John 19:19) “and set up over His head” (Matthew 27:37); however, instead of “Jesus of Nazareth the king of the Jews” (John 19:19), which “was written over Him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew” (Luke 23:38), the three languages being an allusion to the Three Hypostases “of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19), this titulus reads, “The King of Glory” (Psalm 23:7-10), “for had they known it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (I Corinthians 2:8).
The reed represents the “hyssop” (John 19:29) upon which was put “a sponge full of vinegar” (Mark 15:36), which was then “put to His mouth” (John 19:29) when in His “thirst they gave Him vinegar to drink” (Psalm 68:21), Him of Whom it was said that “all wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth” (Luke 4:22).
The lance represents the “spear [that] pierced His side”; “and forthwith came there out blood and water” (John 19:34) from Him Who “took one of Adam's ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof" (Genesis 2:21) and Who “washed us from our sins in His own blood” (Revelation 1:5).
The plaque at the bottom of the Cross represents the suppedaneum of Christ, “His footstool” (Psalm 98:5), “the place where His feet have stood” (Psalm 131:7). It is slanted because, according to one tradition, at the moment when “Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit” (Mark 15:37), He allowed a violent death spasm to convulse His legs, dislodging His footrest in such a manner that one end pointed upwards, indicating that the soul of the penitent thief, Saint Dismas, “the one on His right hand” (Mark 15:27) would be “carried up into Heaven” (Luke 24:51), while the other end, pointed downwards, indicated that the soul of the impenitent thief, Gestas, “the other on His left” (Mark 15:27), would “be thrust down to Hell” (Luke 10:15), showing that all of us, “the evil and the good, the just and the unjust” (Matthew 5:45), “are weighed in the balance” (Ecclesiasticus 21:25) of the Cross of Christ.
The ladder and the pincers beneath the base of the Cross represent the means of deposition by which Saint Joseph of Arimathea, “a rich man” (Matthew 27:57) who “begged for the body of Jesus” (Matthew 27:58; Luke 23:52), “took it down” (Luke 23:53), so that as in body He descended from the Cross, so in soul “He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth” (Ephesians 4:9), “by which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison” (I Peter 3:19).
Through these instruments, “the Cross of Christ” (I Corinthians 1:17: Galatians 6:12; Philippians 3:18) became the “Tree of Life” (Genesis 2:9; 3:22, 24; Proverbs 3:18, 11:30; 13:12; 15:4; Revelation 2:7; 22:2,14), by which the Lord Jesus reified His words that, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die” (John 11:25-26).

A Father's Discipline
1 A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a scorner does not hear rebuke.

[Maintaining A Clear Conscience]
Believers in Christ must strive to maintain a clear conscience: we must remove any pollution or defilement in our minds, hearts, and souls. That includes being cautious of what we say (Matthew 15:11), what we hear—practically anything NEGATIVE our soul absorbs, which can pollute it. And whatever we absorb can cause us to behave in a not so pleasing way to God (Romans 12:1).
This can happen without us being aware. For instance, if you run to the internet to answer your questions and to solve your problems, instead of God’s truth, you’re not going to have peace because the world is full of lies and ruled by spirits of darkness (Ephesians 6:12).
“We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.”

These are deceiving spirits who want to take our focus off God and drag us down. They want us to feel as if there is no hope. It’s all a distraction.
The devil will use our emotions to toy with us. Therefore, trusting other sources, our hearts, and people instead of God and His word will only birth fear, paranoia, and anxiety, which are not fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Not only that, the human heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9). And as Proverbs 28:26 says: “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will escape.”
As Believers, this will only make us stumble and our faith wobble. That is why we need to root ourselves in God and in His word.
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

My mom got me a bunny! I named her Sherbet because she sort of reminds me of sherbet. I went through several names however. At first it was Bun-Bun and then Hop-Hop and then BeBe and then Poppy, and then I think I finally settled on Sherbet. I will let you know if I change my mind again. Isn't she cute though?
The study day went by quickly. I didn't need my full four hours, so I added in a supplement for Biology since we're on the evolution unit right now. My curriculum is mostly a creationist perspective, although it touches on evolution and natural selection, so I found this docuseries called Life on Our Planet which dives deeper into evolution. I don't need my parents permission to watch the docuseries since they give me a lot of freedom around things like that, but I still let them know I was going to. Apparently my dad has already seen it, and he thought I would enjoy it. That was a surprise to me that he had watched it. The first episode was suspenseful, but I am looking forward to watching more. I will have to build it into my study day somehow. I think it has 10 episodes, all a little under an hour long.

Bible Verses of how Christians should act in this world.
Matthew 28:19-20- Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember I am with you always to the end of the age.
Romans 10:14- How then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:15- And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news.
Matthew 24:14- This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all of the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Romans 12:2- Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Colossians 3:7-11- And you once walked in these things when you were living in them. But now, put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator. In Christ, there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free, but Christ is all and in all.
1 Peter 2:9-11- But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Luke 6:32-36- If you love those you love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? John 13:35- By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Matthew 5:13- You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty. It's no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
Matthew 5:14-15- You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Mark 12:31- The second is love. Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these.
Luke 6:31-38- Just as you want others to do for you, do the same for them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. If you do what is good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that you? Romans 13:1- Let everyone submit to the governing authorities since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God.
1 Peter 2:13-15- Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the emperor as the supreme authority or the governors as those sent by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good. For it is God's will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good. Submit as free people, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as God's slaves.
1 Peter 2:17- Honor everyone. Love the brothers and sisters. Fear God. Honor the emperor.
Jeremiah 29:7- Pursue the well-being of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its behalf, for when it thrives, you will thrive.
2 Timothy 2:14- Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to fight about words. This is useless and leads to the ruin of those who listen.
2 Timothy 2:23-24- But reject foolish and ignorant disputes, because you know that they breed quarrels. The Lord's servant must not quarrel but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient.
Titus 3:1-2- Remind them to submit to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to slander no one, to avoid fighting, and to be kind, always showing gentleness to all people.
Romans 14:1- Accept anyone weak in faith, but don't argue about disputed matters.
2 Peter 2:18-20- For by uttering boastful, empty words, they seduce, people who barely escaped from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they are slaves of corruption since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them. For if having escaped the world's impurity through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first.
James 1:27- Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this, to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

SUPERCHARGING OUR HEAVENLY FOCUS
With the almost non-stop flow of information that is coming at us these days, it is more important than ever that we be intentional about what we focus on. Amidst this swirl of 24-hour-a-day input it can be a battle to keep our eyes and hearts focused in faith on the good news of who our God is, our identity in Christ, and understanding our authority and our Christ calling to advance His Kingdom in the earth.
In Matthew 16:13-19 Jesus and the disciples are discussing some of the many things the world has to say about who Jesus is. Some say He is a prophet. Some say He is John the Baptist. Some say He is Elijah. And others say He is Jeremiah. But when Jesus asks Simon, Simon is able to FOCUS in on the reality of the good news, even when it seems the most incredible and impossible of all the reports.
Simon answers that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Jesus erupts with praise for Simon, telling him that he is truly blessed because he was able to focus in on what his Father in Heaven was highlighting to him in the midst of the swirl of information. Simon's ability, in that moment, to focus on what Heaven was highlighting had a powerful and lasting impact – so much so, that Simon emerges from the moment transformed. He is given a new name, Peter, which means "rock."
FOCUSING ON BEING PROACTIVE IN ADVANCING OUR FAITH
Every born-again believer has a purpose destined by God that is connected to advancing and bearing fruit that remains for His Kingdom in the earth.
Much of the favor of God that we experience is tied to whether or not we are living our life pursuing that purpose.
Some of the steps ahead will be like walking on water.  Unfortunately, we do not get to pick the visibility of the water or the depth of the ocean that the Lord asks us to step out on. 
WE WILL BE PROACTIVE IN OUR FAITH AND DO THE FOLLOWING:
1. We will seek first the Kingdom of God (DISCOVERING AND ADVANCING GOD'S CALLING ON OUR LIFE). (Matthew 7:7)
2. We will not give heed to reports of  the world or listen to the distractions and discouragements of the enemy, but instead we will clearly hear what the Lord is highlighting to us and be encouraged (John 10:4-5).
3. We come to understand our authority and dominion in regard to our Christ identity so we will always be victorious in our Christian walk. Our goal is to be effective in bearing fruit that remains for His Kingdom. (John 15:16)
4. We will keep our focus on the ascended life of Heaven; we will bask in the love of Jesus; and we will dwell not on how temporary facts say things seem to be, but on how the eternal Word of God says they truly are (Colossians 3:1-12).
5. We will remain childlike in our faith, always trusting in our Heavenly Father to perform His Word and bring about His purposes regarding our Christ calling  (Matthew 18:3-4).
6. We will bask in the love of Jesus as we see it flow into our heart and into the lives of others; and cast our cares (concerns, fears, doubts, distractions, discouragements) upon Him, allowing Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen us (1 Peter 5:7; John 14:26; Romans 8:37).
7. We will be pro-active in seeking to disciple others, equipping them in their Christ identity, right standing with God, and walking in the Spirit. (1 John 3:16, 2 Timothy 2:2, Hebrews 13:12)
8. We will praise the Lord in all things and at all times knowing that, no matter how things might look or seem at present, His Word never returns void but always accomplishes all it is sent to do (Isaiah 55:11).

SEARCH FOR SATISFACTION
"History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. NOTHING UNDER THE SUN IS TRULY NEW."
Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT)
* Based on what Solomon said, the author of the Bible passage used as our text; Nothing in the world is truly New.
- Do not be carried away with the New things, things in vogue, because they are not truly New.
- Jesus Christ in one of His parables likened some people to the Seed sown among the thorns (Mark 4:3-9,14-20). THOSE who heard the Word of God and did not allow it to take Root in them, but such allowed the cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches to choke the Word in them (Mark 4:18,19).
READ: 1 Timothy 6:9,10,17
- Riches have deceit, because humans are insatiable. If you are pursuing the things of the world, that might be at the detriment of your soul and your place in God's Kingdom (Matthew 6:33; 16:36).
- King Solomon was stating a fact in the passage of the Bible used as the text, and he was talking out of his experience.
- At the beginning of his life, he wanted Fulfilment, and thought he could get that by exploring a number of things (Ecclesiastes 1:17; 2:1-11).
- When he did, he was able to get a number of things he desired, but those things did not give him the Fulfilment he was desiring for:
10 ANYTHING I WANTED, I WOULD TAKE. I DENIED MYSELF NO PLEASURE. I even found great pleasure in hard work, a reward for all my labours. 11 BUT as I looked at everything I HAD WORKED SO HARD TO ACCOMPLISH, IT WAS ALL SO MEANINGLESS—LIKE CHASING THE WIND. THERE WAS NOTHING REALLY WORTHWHILE ANYWHERE" (Ecclesiastes 2:10,11 NLT).
READ: Ecclesiastes 1:16
- The man talking in the above passage of the Bible had tasted good things of life. He had Riches, honour, greatness, and what have you; but at the end, he said all is meaningless.
- About the close or the end of his life, he began to talk about vanities (Ecclesiastes 1:2,14; 2:19,21,26; 3:19; 6:2).
- He realizes that life is meaningless without one's Maker. In other words, without God in your life, or without a relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ, life is meaningless:
1 REMEMBER NOW YOUR CREATOR IN THE DAYS OF YOUR YOUTH, BEFORE THE DIFFICULT DAYS COME, And the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them" 6 REMEMBER YOUR CREATOR BEFORE THE SILVER CORD IS LOOSED, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. 13 LET US HEAR THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER: FEAR GOD And KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS MAN'S ALL. 14 FOR GOD WILL BRING EVERY WORK INTO JUDGMENT, INCLUDING EVERY SECRET THING, WHETHER GOOD OR EVIL (Ecclesiastes 12:1,6,13,14 NKJV).
- The man talking here had tasted life, seen good things of life, and with all his achievements or attainments, he discovered or realized, without God in one's life, everything is meaningless.
- Relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ makes life meaningful. True fulfilment is found in God through salvation in Christ Jesus (John 15:5).
* Pursue Godliness and Righteousness.
- All which some people are pursuing, including some Believers, are the things of the world, which are in vogue, currently reigning or trending in the world—they wanted to be part of what is going on (Colossians 3:1,2).
- Many failed to serve God or be committed in their relationships with Him, because of the current trend of the world: "BUT SHE [he] WHO LIVES IN PLEASURE IS DEAD WHILE SHE [he] LIVES" (1 Timothy 5:6 NKJV).
READ: 1 John 2:15-17
- Whatever you are pursuing in life that makes you lose your relationship or fellowshipping with God, and your place in God's Kingdom on Earth, is meaningless—vanity.
- Nothing you achieved, or the position you attained, gives Joy and satisfaction, without God in your life (Philippians 3:7,8).
- If God is not involved in whatever you are pursuing, your goal, as a Believer; It is irrelevant. Whatever God is involved in, only such gives satisfaction and joy and Fulfilment.
* Worldly attainments cannot not give you Joy and Fulfilment:
"HE WHO LOVES MONEY WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH MONEY, Nor HE WHO LOVES ABUNDANCE WITH ITS GAIN. THIS TOO IS VANITY (emptiness)" (Ecclesiastes 5:10 Amps).
- After you might have gotten whatever you are pursuing, you would realize or discover that you are yet satisfied.
- Nothing gives Joy, satisfaction, and Fulfilment, outside God: "I THOUGHT ABOUT ALL MY HARD WORK, And I FELT DEPRESSED" (Ecclesiastes 2:20 Contemporary English Version).
"SO I GAVE UP IN DESPAIR, QUESTIONING THE VALUE OF ALL MY HARD WORK IN THIS WORLD" (Ecclesiastes 2:20 NLT).
- The truth is, answer to satisfaction and Fulfilment is found in God through Christ Jesus, and in Him only.
- The quest of Solomon was, he wanted to find Joy, satisfaction, and Fulfilment in life, through the hard work, accumulation of wealth, and pleasures.
- He eventually discovered or realized after he got all he was pursuing, that, having those things could not give him Joy, satisfaction, and Fulfilment. Life is vanity, meaningless, without God:
4 I ALSO TRIED TO FIND MEANING BY BUILDING HUGE HOMES FOR MYSELF And BY PLANTING BEAUTIFUL VINEYARDS. 5 I MADE GARDENS And PARKS, FILLING them with ALL KINDS OF FRUIT TREES. 11 BUT AS I LOOKED AT EVERYTHING I HAD WORKED SO HARD TO ACCOMPLISH, IT WAS ALL SO MEANINGLESS—LIKE CHASING THE WIND. THERE WAS NOTHING REALLY WORTHWHILE ANYWHERE" (Ecclesiastes 2:4,5,11 NLT).
* What makes life meaningful?
- Your relationship with God makes life meaningful.
- Having abundant of wealth or blessings might not be outright bad, only If the things are gotten or acquire whilst your relationship and fellowshipping with God are intact and sound.
- Living comfortably is not against God's Will, but having wealth without God is meaningless—vanity:
15 THEN HE [Jesus] SAID, “Beware! GUARD AGAINST EVERY KIND OF GREED. LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY HOW MUCH YOU OWN.” 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. THEN WHO WILL GET EVERYTHING YOU WORKED FOR?’ 21 “Yes, A PERSON IS A FOOL TO STORE UP EARTHLY WEALTH BUT NOT HAVE A RICH RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD” (Luke 12:15,20,21 NLT).
READ: Luke 12:15-21
- Solomon could not find Fulfilment in all he acquired, his achievements, because he turned away from God Who made him—the source of his success and greatness (1 Kings 11:9-11).
- When you permitted no God in your life, or you turned away from Him, your life becomes empty—meaningless (Deuteronomy 33:15).
- What makes life meaningful is the God in your life. Life ordinarily has no meaning without God!
* Allow Jesus Christ to come into your life, and reconcile you with God (2 Corinthians 5:17-19; Revelation 3:20).
- Do not abandon God because of whatever you are pursuing, there is nothing outside Him.
- When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they did contrary to the instruction or commandment given to them (Genesis 2:16,17); they discovered their nakedness as a result (Genesis 3:6,7).
- If you had known God, but decided to turn your back against Him or leave Him, you would discover that you are nothing, a nobody, without Him (John 15:4-6).
- Adam and Eve sewed fig leaves to cover their nakedness (Genesis 3:7).
- The truth is, there is no covering for anyone who has no relationship with God through Christ Jesus. Nothing in life can cover your nakedness like your relationship and fellowshipping with God—not even your wealth or whatever achievement in life (Revelation 3:17,18).
- Nothing can take the place which God has reserved for Himself in the heart of humans.
- Serve God and build intimacy with Him, therein you find Joy, satisfaction, and meaning and Fulfilment in life.
* If you are yet to surrender your life to Christ Jesus, that is, you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour; take a step now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2).
- Believe in your heart that He died for your Sins and resurrected that you might be justified (Romans 4:25).
THUS, tell Him you repent of your Sins and ask Him to come into your life and take His place (Revelation 3:20); CONFESS with your mouth that you accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10);
AND that He would write your name in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:15; 21:27).
* You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare Such ailment rooted up in Jesus' name.
- I declare total health for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

God’s Anointing and Power in Our Lives
Mankind in a fallen, captive state, is incapable of rising to the high stature, high calling of God. Thanks be to God, for the anointing that removes burdens and breaks the yokes of sin, that keeps us bound.
God anointed Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. (See Acts 10:38)
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1-3)
At God's appointed time, "The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)
Jesus who appeared in the flesh, and was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin, was able to resist the devil, and cast Him out of many, for He was full of the Holy Ghost and power. This Jesus, is calling disciples to Himself, to live holy lives, and to proclaim the good news of salvation in the earth, with signs and wonders following.
All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)
"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."  (Luke 10:19-20)
In order to be effective ambassadors for Christ, we must be sanctified and consecrated vessels, reconciled to God, fruitful in every good work; bringing glory to His name.
"And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." (Romans 8:10-11)
"Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18)
"Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." (2 Corinthians 1:21 and 22)
A Prayer:
All thanks and praise to God our Father, for Christ His Son: Prophet, Priest and King; for the blessing of the Holy Spirit, and the anointing that breaks the yokes, and sets us free; for the power to daily walk in the Spirit; for a new and living way; for an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, that doesn't fade away. Amen.
