The Genealogy of Jesus Christ
1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the son of Abraham:
2 Abraham was the father of Isaac,
Isaac the father of Jacob,
and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.
3 Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar,
Perez the father of Hezron,
and Hezron the father of Ram.
4 Ram was the father of Amminadab,
Amminadab the father of Nahshon,
and Nahshon the father of Salmon.
5 Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab,
Boaz the father of Obed by Ruth,
and Obed the father of Jesse.
6 Jesse was the father of David the king.
David the king was the father of Solomon, by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7 Solomon was the father of Rehoboam,
Rehoboam the father of Abijah,
and Abijah the father of Asa.
8 Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat,
Jehoshaphat the father of Joram,
and Joram the father of Uzziah.
9 Uzziah was the father of Jotham,
Jotham the father of Ahaz,
and Ahaz the father of Hezekiah.
10 Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh,
Manasseh the father of Amon,
and Amon the father of Josiah.
11 Josiah was the father of Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were exiled to Babylon.
12 And after they were brought to Babylon,
Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,
and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel.
13 Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud,
Abiud the father of Eliakim,
and Eliakim the father of Azor.
14 Azor was the father of Zadok,
Zadok the father of Akim,
and Akim the father of Eliud.
15 Eliud was the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
and Matthan the father of Jacob.
16 And Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the exile to Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the exile in Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.
The Birth of Jesus Christ
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way: After His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child by the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, had in mind to divorce her privately.
20 But while he thought on these things, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for He who is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 Now all this occurred to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet, saying, 23 “A virgin shall be with child, and will bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is interpreted, “God with us.”
24 Then Joseph, being awakened from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and remained with his wife, 25 and did not know her until she had given birth to her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS. — Matthew 1 | Modern English Version (MEV) The Holy Bible, Modern English Version. Copyright © 2014 by Military Bible Association. E PROPHET ZECHARIAH (ZAKHARIAH) THE SICKLE-SEER FROM AMONGST THE 12MINOR PROPHETS (520 BC)
Tumblr media
The Prophet Zachariah the Sickle-Seer the eleventh of the twelve Minor Prophets. He was descended from the tribe of Levi, and seems to have been a priest (Nehemiah 12:4,16). He was called to prophetic service at a young age and became, in the wondrous expression of church hymnology, “a spectator of supra-worldly visions.”
The Book of the Prophet Zachariah contains inspired details about the coming of the Messiah (Zach 6:12); about the last days of the Savior’s earthly life, about the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem on a young donkey (Zach 9:9); about the betrayal of the Lord for thirty pieces of silver and the purchase of the potter’s field with them (Zach 11:12-13); about the piercing of the Savior’s side (Zach 12:10); about the scattering of the apostles from the Garden of Gethsemane (Zach 13:7); about the eclipse of the sun at the time of the Crucifixion (Zach 14:6-7).
“Enlightened by dawnings all above,” the Prophet Zachariah, “saw the future as it were the present.” According to Tradition, this “most true God-proclaimer” lived to old age and was buried near Jerusalem, beside his illustrious contemporary and companion, the Prophet Haggai (December 16). The title “Sickle-Seer” given Zachariah comes from a vision in which he saw a sickle flying in the air, destroying thieves and perjurors (Zach 5:1-3).
The holy Prophet Zachariah died around 520 B.C. His tomb was discovered in 415 in a village near Eleutheropolis (Sozomen, Hist. Eccles. VI:32, IX:17). At the prophet’s feet was the body of a child dressed in royal accouterments. His holy relics were transferred to the church of Saint James the Brother of the Lord (October 23) in Constantinople.

1 PETER 4:1-11
1Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles-when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. 4 In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. 5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. 8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." 9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
MARK 12:28-37
28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?" 29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these. 32 So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared question Him. 35 Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, "How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? 36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit:'The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool." ' 37 Therefore David himself calls Him 'Lord'; how is He then his Son? And the common people heard Him gladly.

Lets talk numerology
As episode 11 will be rescheduled to next week (and while this is quite a bummer), it also gave me a chance to delve deeper into the numbers (+ combinations) present on the plates of the car of No. 3 and KMC.
Its really fascinating and fitting (personality wise) what I found out after a long and deep dive into all of it.
Here we go
Meaning of the numbers
The history/mythology behind each of them (note: I cannot include each mythology or can expand on them)
Korean numerology meaning of the numbers
Interesting fact about KSJs house number (177)
Number plate of the parcel driver
Lets dive into the topic!
Lets start with the number combinations present on the plate of No.3's car
Tumblr media
31.
Also called an angel number, 31 represents new beginnings, fresh opportunities, creativity, positivity, motivation and progress. It helps to let go of old habits, to move forwards.
When this number appears in someones life, the angels are telling them that new beginnings are on the way. They want people to trust themselves and the universe to make the necessary changes to achieve their goals.
It also signifies the need for open communication, honest and trust (especially with a partner)
67.
Yet another angel number, 67 exist to represent spiritual awakening, fulfilling purpose and shows the "right path"
It is also associated with new beginnings, fresh starts and new opportunities. If someone is looking for a change in their life, the number 67 may be a sign that they should make some changes. (It is a powerful combination of 6 and 7, more on these numbers later)
In the bible, 67 has a significant meaning as well, It appears on multiple occasions:
1. The Apostle Paul conducts his final and fifth missionary journey between 63 to 67 A.D. His journey begins in Rome after the Roman Empire acquits him of the charges against him and he is freed. He then sails to Crete and travels to Nicopolis where he will write the books of 1. Timothy and Titus. In 67 A.D., while in prison, Paul writes his final and fourteenth book called 2. Timothy. It is a heartfelt letter to his best friend and fellow evangelist Timothy. It offered both encouragement and a warning that his martyrdom was fast approaching. »But as for you, be vigilant in all things, endure hardships, do the work of an evangelist; fully carry out your ministry. For I (Paul) am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith (2Timothy 4:5 - 7)« 67 A.D. will prove to be the last full year of Paul's life. Nero, who had recently begun the first state sponsored persecution of Christians, shows no mercy to Paul the Roman citizen. He condemns him to death by beheading in 68 A.D. just before he himself commits suicide on June 9.
2. The twelve Minor Prophets (Amos, Habakkuk, Haggai, Hosea, Joel, Jonah, Malachi, Micah, Nahum, Obadiah, Zechariah, and Zephaniah) have a total number of 67 chapters.
3. Psalm 67, credited to King David, is a song praising God that expresses his desire that the whole world come to understand the salvation the Eternal offers to all humans. »May God be gracious to us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah. So that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations . . . Let the people praise You, O God; let all the people praise You (verses 1 - 2, 5).«
90.
Here we have yet another angel number. This time, it helps to manifestin dreams, signifies positive energy and development and just like 67, its to be associated with enlightenment and spiritual awakening. It also symbolizes the imminent endings and terminations of some events in ones life.
3.
In numerology, a 3 is associated with harmoney, wisdom, understanding, joy, abundance, success and good fortune. It is also associated with Jupiter (both the god and the planet)
It also appears in the bible on multiple occasions:
1. Number 3 is mentioned 467 times in God's word. It derives its symbolism from the fact that it is the first of four spiritually perfect numerals (the others being 7, 10 and 12). The 3 righteous patriarchs before the flood were Abel, Enoch and Noah. After the deluge, there was the three righteous "fathers" of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 2. Jesus prayed three times in the Garden of Gethsemane before His arrest. He was placed on the cross at the 3rd hour of the day (9 a.m.) and died at the 9th hour. There were 3 hours of darkness that covered the land while Jesus was suffering on the cross from the 6th hour to the 9th hour. Christ was dead for three full days and nights. 3. In Christianity, there exists the "threefold office" which states that Christ performs the functions of prophet, priest, and king.
In Norse Mythology it also holds significance
1. Prior to Ragnarök, there will be three hard winters without an intervening summer. These winters are called "Fimbulwinter" (meaning awful, migthy winter in old norse)- these winters mean no summer in between, but filled with snow, bitter frost and icy storms. (There is speculation that climate change, which began in Scandinavia at the end of the Nordic Bronze Age, gave rise to the legend of the Fimbulwinter.) 2. Odin endured three hardships upon the World Tree in his quest for the runes: he hanged himself, wounded himself with a spear, and suffered from hunger and thirst. 3. Bor had three sons: Odin (father god in norse mythology associated with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, war, battle, victory, sorcery, poetry, frenzy, and the runic alphabet), Vili and  Vé. All three sons are the creators of the world.
In greek mythology it too makes its appearance through the 3 sons of Cronos (god of time)
1. Zeus (god of sky and thunder) known for: turning his first wife into a fly which he then ate, cursing Sisyphus to push a giant boulder up a hill forever, chaining prometheus to a rock so an eagle could eat his liver, consistently being unfaithful to his wife (Hera), confining Tantalus in the underworld out of pure reach of nourishment, turning into a cloud to seduce Io, tricking Pandora into opening the box and ultimately turning herself into the burden of humanity, wiping out humankind, binding Ixion to an eternally burning wheel, forcing Atlas to hold the world on his shoulders, raping Callisto (whom he then turned into a bear) as well as Antiope and Alcmene (and many other female gods) 2. Poseidon (god of sea, storms, earthquakes and horses) known for: fighting in the troja war where he created such a huge earthquake it nearly destroyed the underworld, raping Athena and Demeter (and many more) 3. Hades (god of the underworld and the dead) known for kidnapping Persephone and tricking her into marrying him
(The roman equivalents are Saturn, Jupiter, Neptun and Pluto)
Other religions also reference the number 3
The Wiccan Rule of Three. The Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother, Crone (the three fates) The Slavic god Triglav has three heads. There were three primary gods in Babylonia mythology (Anu, Bel, Ea) Three aspects to the Egyptian sun god (Khepri, Re, Atum)
And it represents the male principles
The number 3 is a very mystical and spiritual number featured in many folktales (three wishes, three guesses, three little pigs, three bears, three billy goats gruff). Plato saw 3 as being symbolic of the triangle, the simplest spatial shape, and considered the world to have been built from triangles.
In German folklore a paper triangle with a cross in each corner and a prayer in the middle was thought to act as protection against gout, as well as protecting a cradle from witches.
Three black animals were often sacrificed when attempting to conjure up demons. On the other hand, a three-coloured cat was a protective spirit. In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth (1606–07) there are three witches, and their spell begins, “Thrice the brindled cat hath mewed,” reflecting such superstitions.
Also, 3 is the dimension of the smallest magic square in which every row, column, and diagonal sums to 15
We continue with the number combination on the plate of KMC's car
Tumblr media
21.
Again, another angel number. It signifies good luck and faith.
21 means to enter a time of abundance. For those who have been dealing with a time of transition or facing difficulties, seeing this number can be a positive sign that soon this period will be behind you, and you can take the lessons of the past and put them to good use in your bright and beautiful future. This number has a special meaning - one connected to comfort, protection, and positive energy, helping you enter the next chapter of your life path.
In the bible, 21 is present as well
1. It represents great wickedness of rebellion and sin. After the people left Egyptian bondage, they had twenty-one major rebellious events as they wandered the wilderness. 2. The book of Judges and the gospel of John contain 21 chapter 3. The book of Hebrews contains materials from twetnty-one Old Testament books 4. In 2. Timothy the apostel Paul writes of 21 sins which show the exceeding wickedness of self and sin. He begins chapter 3 with a warning; "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will…" he then proceeds to list the sind humans will indulge in: 1) selfishly love themselves 2) Love money 3) Bragging 4) Be proud of themselves 5) Blaspheme 6) Disregard and disobe their parents 7) Not be thankful for what they have 8) Reject being holy 9) Will not have natural affection 10) Will be uncompromising 11) Falsely accuse others 12) Lack of any self-control 13) Will be fierce 14) Hate anyone who does good 15) Betray others 16) Will act hardheaded 17) Will have exalted, selfish views 18) Lovers of pleasure 19) Reject loving god 20) Will seem superficially to be godly 21) Deny God's power
0.
The number of nothingness. freedom and no limitations. It is also often referred to as the void, as it represents potential and choice. It most likely means that positive change is on the way
In Chinse numerology on the other hand it takes on a quite positive meaning (beginning of all things (and is generally considered a good number, because it sounds like 良 (pinyin: liáng), which means 'good'.
9.
The number of completion, although not a final ending. 9 means "near the final destination", and represents fulfillment of one cycle so you can prelare to initiate the next one as well as ebb and flow.
Again, another important number in the bible
It represents the fruits of God's Holy Spirit. These fruits are faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, joy, kindness, long suffering, love, peace and self-control
And it also appears in Norse Mythology
1. The universe is divided into nine worlds which are all connected by the world tree "Yggdrasil". 2. The number is also associated with Odin, as that is how many days he hung from the world tree Yggdrasil before attaining knowledge of the runes » Odin's self-sacrifice: But he wanted to know everything and gain wisdom and knowledge of things hidden from him (runes). This was a desire that drove him to sacrifice himself. He sacrificed his eye in Mimir's well and he threw himself on his spear Gungnir in a kind of symbolic, ritual suicide.«
As well as in Greek Mythology
1. There exist nine Muses in Greek mythology named: - Calliope (epic poetry) - Clio (history) - Erato (erotic poetry) - Euterpe (lyric poetry) - Melpomene (tragedy) - Polyhymnia (song) - Terpsichore (dance) - Thalia (comedy) - Urania (astronomy). 2. The River Styx, across which souls were ferried to the underworld, is described as having nine twists. 3. It takes nine days (for an anvil) to fall from heaven to earth, and nine more to fall from earth to Tartarus (place of punishment in the underworld) 4. Leto (goddess of motherhood and protectress of the young) labored for nine days and nine nights for Apollo, according to the Homeric Hymn to Delian Apollo.
The number 9 also often represents pain or sadness. The 16th-century Catholic theologian Peter Bungus pointed out that the Ninth Psalm predicts the coming of the Antichrist. In Islamic cosmology the universe is made from nine spheres—the traditional eight of Ptolemy, plus a ninth added by the Arab astronomer Thābit ibn Qurrah about 900 CE to explain the precession of the equinoxes.
In Anglo-Saxon cultures 9 crops up frequently. The early inhabitants of Wales used nine steps to measure distance in legal contexts; for example, a dog that has bitten someone can be killed if it is nine steps away from its owner’s house, and nine people assaulting one constituted a genuine attack.
In German law the ownership of land terminated after the ninth generation. Many folk sayings involve the number 9. A stitch in time saves nine. Cloud nine is the ultimate in happiness. A cat has nine lives.
76.
And of course, yet another angel number and associated with luck, success, wealth, clarity, thought, love and creativity. The number also shows to focus your attention on your goals and continue to work hard to achieve them. It is a powerful combination of the number 6 and 7 (more on these numbers below)
2.
In numerology, the number represents teamwork, service, love, friendship, patience, personal growth, learning, emotional balance, partnership, acceptance, peace, bonding and mutual interests.
It again shows up in Christianity as an important number as it represent Adam (the failure, sinner and destructor) and Jesus (the sucess), Lilith (Adams first wife) and Eva (Adams second wife)
The number 2 symbolizes many of the basic dualities: me/you, male/female, yes/no, alive/dead, left/right, yin/yang, and so on. Dualities are common in human approaches to the world, probably because of our preference for two-valued logic—yet another duality, true/false. Although 2 was female to the Pythagoreans (Members of a religious-philosophical and politically active school, the Pythagoras of Samos in the 20s of the 6th century BC), other numerological schemes viewed it as male.
In Agrippa von Nettesheim’s De occulta philosophia (1533; “On the Philosophy of the Occult”), 2 is the symbol for man, sex, and evil. One reason that some have associated 2 with evil is that the biblical book of Genesis does not use the formula “and it was good” when referring to the second day of Creation.
Some religions are dualistic, with two gods in place of the one God of monotheism. Examples include Zoroastrianism, where Ahura Mazdā (the god of light and goodness) battles with Ahriman (the god of darkness and evil).
The number 2 is often associated with negatives, as in the words duplicity and two-faced. Northwest Coast Indians required the parents of twins to observe various taboos because they believed that supernatural powers would bring the wishes of twins to fruition.
It is also symbolic of the female principles
This part will include number 1, 6 and 7
1.
This number represents confidence, movement, newness, creation, birth of all things, origin of the universe, opportunity, to turn circumstances into anything we wish, control of future, independence, goal oriented, innovative, forceful, risky, doubtful, power and action in numerology.
Not surprisingly, the number 1 is generally treated as a symbol of unity.
The Pythagoreans did not consider 1 to be a number at all because number means plurality and 1 is singular. However, they considered it to be the source of all numbers because adding many 1s together can create any other (positive whole) number. In their system, where odd numbers were male and even numbers female, the number 1 was neither; instead, it changed each to the other. If 1 is added to an even number, it becomes odd; similarly, if 1 is added to an odd number, it becomes even.
In the faiths of Islamic, Jewish and Christian cultures the number 1 is associated with the unity of God. For medieval alchemists and metaphysicians the number was associated with the Philosopher's Stone, the unknown catalyst that was thought to transform base metals magically into gold.
The number 1 is also associated with the following deities:
Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love
Apollo, the Greek God of Beauty and Truth
Diana, the Roman Goddess of the Hunt
Vesta, the Roman Hearth Goddess
Freya, the Norse Goddess of Fertility
Pangu, the Chinese God who seperated earth and heaven
The number 1 is associated with the colors red, crimson, scarlet and cherry. Gemstones associated with the number 1 are ruby and garnet. Flowers associated with the number are red roses and red carnations.
Common superstitions about the number one are:
Break one egg and you will break a leg
It is unlucky to walk around the house in one slipper
Only keep money in one pocket or you will lose it.
People with one hand are psychic.
  A one-eyed person is a witch.
Seeing one magpie bodes a death in your future.
Seeing one white horse brings bad luck.
If you wash your hair on the first day of the month you will have a short life.
It is unlucky to get married August 1st or January 1st.
6.
The number of domestic happiness, stability, harmony and blessing.
In Christianity, it holds a significance
1. It appears as the number of six days of Creation in Genesis, with God resting on the seventh day. The structure of the Creation parallels the sum 1 + 2 + 3: on day 1 light is created; on days 2 and 3 heaven and earth appear; finally, on days 4, 5, and 6 all living creatures are created. 2. The number 6 and its meaning are related to man and human weakness, the evils of the devil and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on day six of creation week. Men are appointed 6 days to labor and then they are commanded to rest on the seventh day (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset). 3. A Hebrew slave had to serve 6 years before he could be released in the 7th year. Six years were appointed for the land to be sown and harvested. The number is also associated with Satan in his temptation of Jesus 4. The bringing together of triple six is the mark of the end time Beast power of Revelation. As such, it represents the very best system of governance that mankind can produce without God and under the constant influence of his chief adversary.
In Greek Mythology, number 6 represents
The goddess Venus (Goddess of love)
Hermes (God of Commerce)
Athena (Goddess of wisdom)
In Roman Mythology it represents Bacchus (God of Winemaking and Fertility
Some common supersitions about the number 6 are:
Its unlucky to purposely turn the number 6 upside down in jest as it means your projects will not be completed
If you find a rose with six petals it means you will be lucky in love
If you find a pansy petal with six colors on it, it means you will be protected against hurricanes and tornados
It is unlucky to get married on October 6th or November 6th
7.
In numerology, this number is associated with war, protection, eternal life and pefection
The number 7 is equally sacred amongst Islamic, Christian and Jewish religions. According to Jewish and Christian mythologies it took six days to create the world with the seventh day being the holiest day - a day of rest. The Bible, Zohar and other religious texts also recommend that fields were to be left fallow every seventh year as means of allowing the earth to regenerate itself. Some Christians believe the number 7 represents the seven levels of hell.
It is Hebrew tradition to mourn, or sit Shivah, for a period of 7 days.
Deities associated with the number 7 include Frigga (Norse goddess of marriage, life, motherhood and heaven) Minerva (the Roman Goddess of Intelligence and Wisdom) and Mithras (Sun God in Zoroastrian lore)
The number 7 is associated with the colors violet, purple and plum. 7's gemstone is amethyst.
Flowers associated with 7 are irises and deep purple roses.
Some common superstitions about the number 7 are:
If your date of birth can be reduced to a single number that can be divided by seven then you will have a particularly lucky life.
Shattering a mirror brings 7 years of bad luck.
If you sing before 7 am then you will cry before 11 am.
Wrapping her husband's belt 7 times around a tree causes a woman to become fertile.  The seventh child of a seventh child is said to have psychic powers.
If you wash your hair on the 7th day of the month you will have trouble with the law.
It is unlucky to get married April 7th or December 7th.
If you dream about the number 7, you will soon meet a soul mate.
Interesting thing about number 321
It represents creativity, joy, harmony, balance and moving forward
Korean supersititions on number 3:
This number also occurs several times in Korean mythology.
One of the key figures in Korean mythology is Hwanung. When Hwanung descended from heaven to earth, he had three seals and was accompanied by 3,000 followers. Also, Hwanung owned three powers: wind, rain, and clouds. Furthermore, according to the myth explaining how the first human appeared on Korean land, a bear stayed in the cave for three weeks. After that time, Hwanung transformed the bear into a beautiful woman.
Korean superstitions on number 9:
Apart from “4”, people in Korea are wary of “9”. When people reach an age ending in 9, for example, 29, 39, and so on, some of them begin to worry. They believe that this particular year will be difficult and misfortunes or failures may occur.
This attitude towards the number is due to the fact that after 9 comes 0. As a result, it is interpreted as the end of the old, and new beginnings from scratch which many people have anxiety about. There is a risk of choosing the wrong path at such an important time, some may even postpone significant events, such as weddings, to a later date.

Noah wanted to determine the status of the water after the great flood. He sent out a raven and later a dove from the ark (Genesis 8:7 - 8). The dove returned without any symbol of life. Seven days later, he resent the dove. This time it returned with an olive leaf, proving that the waters had almost completely subsided although the ground was likely still water logged. He waited yet another seven days (double 7 or 77) and sent the dove yet again. This time, it did not return, which meant that the ground was dry enough for many kinds of animals.«

177
An angle number and a powerful reminder that when we stay true to ourselves, use our creativity, and trust our intuition, anything is possible. It's a sign that we are on the right path and have the courage to pursue our passions and make positive changes in our lives.
It serves as reminder that it is up to us to go after what we want in life. We may be feeling scared, or like we are not good enough.
It will often show up when the reason we arent acting is fear and doubt. Perhaps we fear failure, or doubt that we truly have the ability to achieve something. It could even be that we don’t really think we deserve the things that we want- tells us that these are just symptoms of low self-esteem, and that we need to work on loving ourselves.
It also points to our intuition, and its power to help guide us through life. It is also our intuition that will let us know whether seeing the number 177 is a sign from the Angels.
The number is also always a call to action. It will often show up when we are in a state of indecision or fear which is stopping us from doing the things that we need to do. The number often shows up to help us overcome our fear of moving forward.
The same nudge that causes us to notice the number will prick our intuition and let us know that there is something special about this number.
It serves as a reminder that even when we are doing nothing, we are not standing still, as everything around us is moving, changing our relative position. This means that the main difference between action and inaction, is that when we act, we choose our destination, while when we stay in one place, our destination is chosen for us by other forces.

Feast Day - February 8
The Prophet Zachariah the Sickle-Seer the eleventh of the twelve Minor Prophets. He was descended from the tribe of Levi, and seems to have been a priest (Nehemiah 12:4,16). He was called to prophetic service at a young age and became, in the wondrous expression of church hymnology, "a spectator of supra-worldly visions."
The Book of the Prophet Zachariah contains inspired details about the coming of the Messiah (Zach 6:12); about the last days of the Savior's earthly life, about the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem on a young donkey (Zach 9:9); about the betrayal of the Lord for thirty pieces of silver and the purchase of the potter's field with them (Zach 11:12-13); about the piercing of the Savior's side (Zach 12:10); about the scattering of the apostles from the Garden of Gethsemane (Zach 13:7); about the eclipse of the sun at the time of the Crucifixion (Zach 14:6-7).
"Enlightened by dawnings all above," the Prophet Zachariah, "saw the future as it were the present." According to Tradition, this "most true God-proclaimer" lived to old age and was buried near Jerusalem, beside his illustrious contemporary and companion, the Prophet Haggai (December 16). The title "Sickle-Seer" given Zachariah comes from a vision in which he saw a sickle flying in the air, destroying thieves and perjurors (Zach 5:1-3).
The holy Prophet Zachariah died around 520 B.C. His tomb was discovered in 415 in a village near Eleutheropolis (Sozomen, Hist. Eccles. VI:32, IX:17). At the prophet's feet was the body of a child dressed in royal accoutrements. His holy relics were transferred to the church of St James the Brother of the Lord (October 23) in Constantinople.

"Now thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways! You have sown much, but have brought in little; you have eaten, but have not been satisfied; You have drunk, but have not been exhilarated; have clothed yourselves, but not been warmed; and he who earned wages earned them for a bag with holes in it."

Thursday, Twenty Fifth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green: A (1))
First Reading Haggai 1:1-8 Build the house that I may take pleasure in it.
On the first day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius, The word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai to the governor of Judah, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, and to the high priest Joshua, son of Jehozadak:
Thus says the LORD of hosts: This people says: “The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.” (Then this word of the LORD came through Haggai, the prophet:) Is it time for you to dwell in your own paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?
Now thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways! You have sown much, but have brought in little; you have eaten, but have not been satisfied; You have drunk, but have not been exhilarated; have clothed yourselves, but not been warmed; And whoever earned wages earned them for a bag with holes in it.Thus says the LORD of hosts:
Consider your ways! Go up into the hill country; bring timber, and build the house That I may take pleasure in it and receive my glory, says the LORD.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 149:1b-2, 3-4, 5-6a and 9b
R/ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Sing to the LORD a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in their maker, let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.
R/ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Let them praise his name in the festive dance, let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD loves his people, and he adorns the lowly with victory.
R/ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their couches; Let the high praises of God be in their throats. This is the glory of all his faithful. Alleluia.
R/ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Gospel Acclamation John 14:6
Alleluia, alleluia. I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord; no one comes to the Father except through me. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Luke 9:7-9 John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?
Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him.
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

(Readings for the memorial)
(There is a choice today between the readings for the ferial day (Thursday) and those for the memorial. The ferial readings are recommended unless pastoral reasons suggest otherwise)
First Reading 1 Peter 3:14-17 Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them.
Beloved: Even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 126:1bc-2ab, 2cd-3, 4-5, 6
R/ Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
When the LORD brought back the captives of Zion, we were like men dreaming. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with rejoicing.
R/ Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad indeed.
R/ Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like the torrents in the southern desert. Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
R/ Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
Although they go forth weeping, carrying the seed to be sown, They shall come back rejoicing, carrying their sheaves.
R/ Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 5:10
Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Matthew 10:34-39 I have come to bring not peace, but the sword.
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set
a man ‘against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s enemies will be those of his household.’
“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Either:
First Reading 2 Chronicles 24:18-22 Zechariah was stoned to death in the court of the Lord’s temple.
The princes of Judah forsook the temple of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and began to serve the sacred poles and the idols; and because of this crime of theirs, wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem. Although prophets were sent to them to convert them to the LORD, the people would not listen to their warnings. Then the spirit of God possessed Zechariah, son of Jehoiada the priest. He took his stand above the people and said to them: “God says, ‘Why are you transgressing the LORD’s commands, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have abandoned the LORD, he has abandoned you.’” But the people conspired against him, and at the king’s order they stoned him to death in the court of the LORD’s temple. Thus King Joash was unmindful of the devotion shown him by Jehoiada, Zechariah’s father, and slew his son. And as he was dying, he said, “May the LORD see and avenge.”
The Word of the Lord R/ Thanks be to God.
OR: --------
First reading 2 Maccabees 6:18, 21, 24-31 I am suffering it with joy in my soul because of my devotion to him.
Eleazar, one of the foremost scribes, a man of advanced age and noble appearance, was being forced to open his mouth to eat pork. Those in charge of that unlawful ritual meal took the man aside privately, because of their long acquaintance with him, and urged him to bring meat of his own providing, such as he could legitimately eat, and to pretend to be eating some of the meat of the sacrifice prescribed by the king. He told them: “At our age it would be unbecoming to make such a pretense; many young men would think the ninety-year-old Eleazar had gone over to an alien religion. Should I thus pretend for the sake of a brief moment of life, they would be led astray by me, while I would bring shame and dishonor on my old age. Even if, for the time being, I avoid the punishment of men, I shall never, whether alive or dead, escape the hands of the Almighty. Therefore, by manfully giving up my life now, I will prove myself worthy of my old age, and I will leave to the young a noble example of how to die willingly and generously for the revered and holy laws.” He spoke thus, and went immediately to the instrument of torture. Those who shortly before had been kindly disposed now became hostile toward him because what he had said seemed to them utter madness. When he was about to die under the blows, he groaned and said: “The LORD in his holy knowledge knows full well that, although I could have escaped death, I am not only enduring terrible pain in my body from this scourging, but also suffering it with joy in my soul because of my devotion to him.” This is how he died, leaving in his death a model of courage and an unforgettable example of virtue not only for the young but for the whole nation.
OR: --------
First reading 2 Maccabees 7:1-2, 9-14 We are ready to die rather than transgress the laws of our ancestors.
It happened that seven brothers with their mother were arrested and tortured with whips and scourges by the king, to force them to eat pork in violation of God’s law. One of the brothers, speaking for the others, said: “What do you expect to achieve by questioning us? We are ready to die rather than transgress the laws of our ancestors.” At the point of death, the second brother said: “You accursed fiend, you are depriving us of this present life, but the King of the world will raise us up to live again forever. It is for his laws that we are dying.” After him the third suffered their cruel sport. He put out his tongue at once when told to do so, and bravely held out his hands, as he spoke these noble words: “It was from Heaven that I received these; for the sake of his laws I disdain them; from him I hope to receive them again.” Even the king and his attendants marveled at the young man’s courage, because he regarded his sufferings as nothing. After he had died, they tortured and maltreated the fourth brother in the same way. When he was near death, he said, “It is my choice to die at the hands of men with the hope God gives of being raised up by him; but for you, there will be no resurrection to life.”
OR: --------
First reading 2 Maccabees 7:1, 20-23, 27b-29 This most admirable mother bore it courageously because of her hope in the Lord.
It happened that seven brothers with their mother were arrested and tortured with whips and scourges by the king, to force them to eat pork in violation of God’s law. Most admirable and worthy of everlasting remembrance was the mother, who saw her seven sons perish in a single day, yet bore it courageously because of her hope in the LORD. Filled with a noble spirit that stirred her womanly heart with manly courage she exhorted each of them in the language of their forefathers with these words: “I do not know how you came into existence in my womb; it was not I who gave you the breath of life, nor was it I who set in order the elements of which each of you is composed. Therefore, since it is the Creator of the universe who shapes each man’s beginning, as he brings about the origin of everything, he, in his mercy, will give you back both breath and life, because you now disregard yourselves for the sake of his law.” “Son, have pity on me, who carried you in my womb for nine months, nursed you for three years, brought you up, educated and supported you to your present age. I beg you, child, to look at the heavens and the earth and see all that is in them; then you will know that God did not make them out of existing things; and in the same way the human race came into existence. Do not be afraid of this executioner, but be worthy of your brothers and accept death, so that in the time of mercy I may receive you again with them.”
OR: --------
First reading Wisdom 3:1-9 As sacrificial offerings he took them to himself.
The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace. For if before men, indeed, they be punished, yet is their hope full of immortality; Chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed, because God tried them and found them worthy of himself. As gold in the furnace, he proved them, and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself. In the time of their visitation they shall shine, and shall dart about as sparks through stubble; They shall judge nations and rule over peoples, and the LORD shall be their King forever. Those who trust in him shall understand truth, and the faithful shall abide with him in love: Because grace and mercy are with his holy ones, and his care is with his elect.
OR: --------
First reading Sirach 51:1-8 You redeemed me, true to the greatness of your mercy and of your name.
I give you thanks, O Lord and King; I praise you, O God my savior! I will make known your name, for you have been a helper and a protector to me. You have kept back my body from the pit, and from the scourge of a slanderous tongue, from lips that went over to falsehood. And in the sight of those who stood by, you have delivered me, According to the multitude of the mercy of your name, and from them that did roar, prepared to devour me, And from the power of those who sought my life; from many a danger you have saved me, from flames that hemmed me in on every side; From the midst of unremitting fire when I was not burnt from the deep belly of the nether world; From deceiving lips and painters of lies, from the arrows of dishonest tongues. My soul was at the point of death, my life was nearing the depths of the nether world; They encompassed me on every side, but there was no one to help me, I looked for one to sustain me, but could find no one. But then I remembered the mercies of the LORD, his kindness through ages past; For he saves those who take refuge in him, and rescues them from every evil.
EITHER: --------
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 31:3cd-4, 6 and 8ab, 16bc and 17
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold to give me safety. You are my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake you will lead and guide me.
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
Into your hands I commend my spirit; you will redeem me, O LORD, O faithful God. I will rejoice and be glad because of your mercy.
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
Rescue me from the clutches of my enemies and my persecutors, Let your face shine upon your servant; save me in your kindness.
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
OR: --------
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 34:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9
The Lord delivered me from all my fears.
I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall be ever in my mouth. Let my soul glory in the LORD; the lowly will hear me and be glad.
The Lord delivered me from all my fears.
Glorify the LORD with me, let us together extol his name. I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
The Lord delivered me from all my fears.
Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. When the afflicted man called out, the LORD heard, and from all his distress he saved him.
The Lord delivered me from all my fears.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Taste and see how good the LORD is; blessed the man who takes refuge in him.
The Lord delivered me from all my fears.
OR: --------
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 124:2-3, 4-5, 7cd-8
Our soul has been rescued like a bird from the fowler’s snare.
Had not the LORD been with us– When men rose up against us, then would they have swallowed us alive When their fury was inflamed against us.
Our soul has been rescued like a bird from the fowler’s snare.
Then would the waters have overwhelmed us; The torrent would have swept over us; over us then would have swept the raging waters.
Our soul has been rescued like a bird from the fowler’s snare.
Broken was the snare, and we were freed. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Our soul has been rescued like a bird from the fowler’s snare.

Gospel Matthew 10:17-22 You will be led before governors and kings for my sake, as a witness before them and the pagans.
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Beware of men, for they will hand you over to courts and scourge you in their synagogues, and you will be led before governors and kings for my sake as a witness before them and the pagans. When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. For it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved.”
OR: --------
Gospel Matthew 10:28-33 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body.
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”
OR: --------
Gospel Matthew 10:34-39 I have come to bring not peace but the sword.
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set
a man ‘against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s enemies will be those of one’s household.’
“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 9:23-26 Whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
Jesus said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself? Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
OR: --------
Gospel John 12:24-26 If a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it produces much fruit.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me.”
OR: --------
Gospel John 15:18-21 If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
Jesus said to his disciples: “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. Remember the word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.”
Or:
Gospel John 17:11b-19 The world hated them.
Lifting his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying: “Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one. When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you. I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely. I gave them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.”

R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 11:27-28(KJV): 27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. 28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
Thought for the Day
Verse 27 - The book of Proverbs continues to instruct us on how doing good brings blessings, while seeking mischief brings us trouble. If we listen to this advice, we will find favor with God and man. The New Testament lists having a good report from those "without" (those who are not Christians) as a requirement for the office of a bishop (an overseer). The Lord is calling men and women to be leaders in His kingdom and to qualify we must be good witnesses to those who are in the world. "Moreover he (a bishop) must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil." (1 Timothy 3:7).
Verse 28 - There is no security in this world except in God. God's people are promised that they will flourish despite what is going on around them, as they have the life of God in them. He will sustain them in any economy and circumstance. Many rich men are miserable because a crumbling economy has stripped them of the profits of many years of work. James 5:1-5 says that wicked men will lose the riches they heap up in the last days before the return of the Lord. If we have been depending on the things of the world for security, we need to turn to God and trust Him to care for us.
"And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts" (Haggai 2:7-9).
The Lord will have a people who seek Him and His righteousness, and they will have His blessings (Psalm 112:1-3). Every Christian should be a priest and a minister, sharing the Gospel at home, in the workplace, and in every sphere of influence.
A day is coming when the wealth of the wicked will be given to the righteous (Proverbs 13:22), who will use it to take the Gospel to the whole world before the Lord's Second Coming. Please note that these people will not be seeking the blessings of God, but will be seeking the God of blessings! They will desire to be sanctified and made Christ-like in character, above all material blessings. Proverbs 11:28 says they will flourish like a branch and the prophecy of Isaiah 61:3-9 will be fulfilled in them. Godly character is the greatest asset that anyone can have. It cannot be purchased. May we all prepare for that day by asking Him to cleanse us and establish us in His righteousness.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, what a wonderful time we live in... the months just before your second coming. Thank you that You have chosen me and all of my brothers and sisters for this great day of the Lord. May we all prepare our hearts before You so that we will not fail to accept the call that is on each of our lives. We are all called to serve You. Some presently have the high honor of raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, while others are businessmen who are ministering to their flocks (employees) where they are planted. We are all servants of the highest and it matters not what our vocation is, as our true vocation is to minister Your love and Word wherever we are. May we each be faithful so that You truly will be glorified. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. From: Steven P. The Prophet Muhammed in the Bible, Torah and Psalms: The Proofs of the Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in the distorted Torah.
The Qur’an says that Jews distorted the book of their religion, the Torah, by changing the places of its words and their meaning. That is why the signs about the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were aimed to be distorted and changed by Jews. The People of the Book, who distorted the actual meanings of the words, made it difficult to understand the signs of explanations for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The verses that indicate the issue from the Qur’an are as follows:
“Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places and say: "We hear and we disobey…” (an-Nisa, 4/46)
“They change the words from their (right) times and places; they say "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware…” (al-Maeda, 5/41)
Now we are going to look at the expressions of the Torah that indicate the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
1. This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land… And I will shake all nations, and the Himada of all the nations will come; and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.” (The Old Testament Haggai 2:6-7)
The good news of his coming and the word of "Himada" in the original text of the Torah come from the same root of the name Muhammad in Arabic and the letters of the words Ahmad as “Ha, Mim and Dal” and they usually have the same meaning. So, the word which gives the meaning of the name of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is mentioned with a magnificent event that will take place in the future according to the expression of the verse.
So, what can be more magnificent than the coming of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who spread the existence of God to billions after the Old Testament? So this verse of the Torah informs about the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islam’s triumph over all world states, which is a magnificent and glorious event.
2. Part 42 of Isaiah of the Old Testament virtually informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his coming… Let us first read the related part of the Old Testament and then analyze these expressions, which are present in the Torah:
“Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations. He will not cry out or shout; he will not publicize himself in the streets. A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees. He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees.” This is what the true God, the Lord, says – the one who created the sky and stretched it out, the one who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the one who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it: “I, the Lord, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons. The Lord Intervenes I am the Lord! That is my name! I will not share my glory with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols. Look, my earlier predictive oracles have come to pass; now I announce new events. Before they begin to occur, I reveal them to you.” Sing to the Lord a brand new song! Praise him from the horizon of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it, you coastlands and those who live there! Let the desert and its cities shout out, the towns where the nomads of Kedar live! Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully; let them shout loudly from the mountaintops.”
There is a great conformity between the expressions that are present in Isaiah of the Old Testament part 42, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The expression of these future events is also very important. So, this good news was not revealed in the time of Moses (AS) or much before. This will come true in the future… The good news stated here is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and let us see this by analyzing the expressions one by one:
a. “Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations.” (The Old Testament 42:1)
This sentence of the Old Testament totally indicates the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For God supported him, had consent for him and selected him among humans. Besides, God sent Him Gabriel (AS) (the Archangel) and exposed justice among nations with him. So, five qualities of the person that was given the good news in the expression exist in him. This sentence of the Torah totally gives the good news of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with all of its words.
b. “He will not cry out or shout; he will not publicize himself in the streets. A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees…” (The Old Testament 42:2-3)
These expressions, which are present in the Torah, inform about the high ethics of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). While the Qur’an expresses this characteristic of the prophet Muhammad with “And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character” , the Torah informs this as given above. So, the person about whom the good news given will have high ethics. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has such high ethics with the approval of everyone.
c. “He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees…” (The Old Testament 42:4)
This expression of the Torah also informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ruled the earth while he was still alive and secured the justice. And he never lost his courage. Even when the verse has revealed to him, “Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief)” , he sent the guards who were waiting in front of his tent away and told them; “Now Allah will defend me, you don’t need to wait here.”  The people and nations who were almost tortured with oppression waited for this person. So, this expression informs about the courage of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his securing of the justice and the waiting of the people of coastland; for this reason, it indicated and even defined the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
d. “I, the Lord, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations…” (The Old Testament 42:6)
The person about whom the good news was given by the Torah was said to be protected by God and for this reason, in most difficult situations and even at times when surviving is almost impossible, he was protected and reached safety as recorded in history. Even during migration, when the possibility of being captured by the polytheists was close at hand at the cave where they sheltered and while his loyal friend, Abu Bakr (RA), was weeping for him, he informed the existence of this divine protection to his loyal friend with solidity by saying “Do not fear, God is with us.”  In every phase of the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, this divine protection is seen. Those who know the life of the Prophet will understand this better.
Besides, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made people get on well with one another. Blood feuds came to an end  and enemies became loyal friends thanks to him … and again nations found the true path thanks to him and virtually became a source of light. So, the person about whom the good news was given has three qualities in the Torah: I. God protects him, II. He will get on well with people, III. He will become a guide for nations; they are the qualities which are known by everyone.
e. “to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons…” (The Old Testament 42:7)
This expression of the Torah informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) too. For blunt hearts and ill minds were healed thanks to him. With the help of him, souls are freed from the captivity of the evil and those who live in the darkness of polytheism reached the light of tawhid (the oneness of God).
f. “I am the Lord! That is my name! I will not share my glory with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols…” (The Old Testament 42:8)
This expression of the Torah is significant. For, with this verse, God informs that the person about whom He gave the good news would destroy polytheism. The biggest struggle of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was against the polytheists and when He conquered the city of Mecca, the first thing he did was to destroy idols.
Besides, in this verse, God says, “He will not allow praising for idols” The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed this task and with the expression “Alhamdulillah”, he informed that all praises are made for God. So the person about whom the good news is given is the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) successfully accomplished the duty of the person about whom the good news was given.
g. “Let the desert and its cities shout out, the towns where the nomads of Kedar live! Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully; let them shout loudly from the mountaintops.” (The Old Testament 42:11)
This expression of the Torah informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) too. Since, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a member of the community that was coming from the descendants of Kadar, who was the son of Ishmael (PBUH), the son of Abraham (AS). So this expression indicates the ancestors of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In short, these parts of the Old Testament have a complete conformity with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Besides, in the continuation of this part of the Old Testament, verse 17, the humiliation of polytheists is significant because this humiliation was performed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Yes, with a more detailed analysis, one may find many more signs in the Old Testament. So, as many sciences from embryology to astronomy, from geology to archeology approve what the Qur’an says, the signs of the Old Testament approve his (PBUH) prophethood.
3. “I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command.” (The Old Testament, the Book of Deuteronomy, 18:18)
4. “Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you. Every person who does not obey that prophet will be destroyed and thus removed from the people.’ And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who followed him, have spoken about and announced these days.” (The New Testament, Acts 3:22)
Now let us analyze these two sentences taken from the Bible:
a. The addressing of Hz. Moses (AS) as “your brothers” to the sons of Israelites, who were coming from the race of Ishaq (AS), who was the son of Hz. Abraham (AS), is sign for the descendants of Hz. Ishmael (AS) who was the brother of Hz. Ishaq (AS), that is, for the sons of Ishmael. The prophet who came from the sons of Ishmael can only be the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because only the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came from the race of Ishmael. Hz. Joshua (AS) and Jesus (AS) did not come from the descendants of Hz. Ishmael race but from the sons of Israelites.
b. By saying “a prophet like me”, Hz. Moses (AS) implied the prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For it is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who resembles to Hz. Moses by up to twenty qualities such as jihad, the laws and rules that he imposed, the punishments he established and his community’s obedience to him… but not Hz. Joshua or Jesus (AS).
c. The expression in the verse, “I will put my words in his mouth” is an implication for the illiteracy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and though he did not know how to read and write, he memorized the word of God easily and read it to people. This news came true as exactly as it had been said.
And we want to point out to an expression that is present in the verses 18 and 19 of The Old Testament, the Book of Deuteronomy: In these sentences, it is emphasized “that prophet speaks with Lord’s name”. One of the most important characteristics of the Qur’an that was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is that, 113 surahs of 114 starts with “Basmala” that is “B-ismi-llahi r-rahmani r-rahim” ("In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful"). Besides, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) started reading the verses of the Quran and everything with Basmala and advised his ummah to do so. Thus, the person about whom the good news was given in the Old Testament and was informed that he would start with God’s name is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
5. “The Lord came from Sinai and revealed himself to Israel from Seir. He appeared in splendor from Mount Paran, and came forth with ten thousand holy ones. With his right hand he gave a fiery law to them.” (The Old Testament, the Book of Deuteronomy, 33:2)
a. In this expression of the Torah: “coming from Sinai” is a sign for Hz. Moses (AS) and the revelation of divine commandments to him; on the other hand, “revealing from Seir” is a sign for Jesus (AS) and the revelation of Bible to him, and finally “the splendor at Mount Paran” is a sign for the Prophet Muhammad’s appearance in Mecca. Since Paran is pronounced as Faran in Arabic language and Faran is one of the old names of Mecca.
Besides, the sentences that Hz. Ishmael resides in the desert of Paran in Genesis in the Old Testament are also proof for this. For Hz. Ishmael (AS) used to reside in Mecca. So, Paran is Mecca with the sign of the Old Testament. With the expression of the Torahi, God informs that “this splendor is at Mount Paran”. Who can be this splendor other than the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?
b. What is meant with holy ones in the expression given as “came forth with ten thousand holy ones” is Prophet Muhammad’s Ahl al-Bayt and his Companions. In a very short time, this holy community reached up to ten thousands even hundreds of thousands.
c. The expression “The fiery law on the right” stands for jihad and it is a sign that future prophets have a duty of Jihad. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his community are responsible for jihad; so, the person indicated in the related expression proves that this person is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So, this expression of the Torah informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with triple signs.
6. But God said to Abraham, “Do not be upset about “the boy or your slave wife.” Do all that Sarah is telling you because through Isaac your descendants will be counted. But I will also make the son of the slave wife into a great nation, for he is your descendant too.” Early in the morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He put them on her shoulders, gave her the child, and sent her away. So she went wandering aimlessly through the wilderness of Beer Sheba. When the water in the skin was gone, she shoved the child under one of the shrubs. Then she went and sat down by herself across from him at quite a distance, about a bowshot away; for she thought, “I refuse to watch the child die.” So she sat across from him and wept uncontrollably. But God heard the boy’s voice.”
“The angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and asked her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Don’t be afraid, for God has heard the boy’s voice right where he is crying. Get up! Help the boy up and hold him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.” Then God enabled Hagar to see a well of water. She went over and filled the skin with water, and then gave the boy a drink. God was with the boy as he grew. He lived in the wilderness and became an archer. He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother found a wife for him from the land of Egypt.” (Genesis 21, 12-21)
In this part of the Torah, it is informed that a nation will be created from Hz. Hagar’s son. This nation is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the ummah of Islam. For no other prophets came from the descendants of Hz. Ishmael except the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
7. “Verily God told Abraham that Hagar -the mother of Isma‘il- will bear children. There will emerge from her sons one whose hand will be above all, and the hands of all will be opened to him in reverence.” (The Old Testament, Genesis, 17)
These expressions of the Torah also informs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As we have explained before, no other known and famous prophets came from the descendants of Ishmael (AS), who was the son of Hagar except the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
8. “Moses said: “O Lord! Verily I have found in the Torah the best of Communities that will emerge for the benefit of humanity, that will enjoin good and forbid wrong, and that will believe in God. Let it be my Community!” God said: “That is the Community of Muhammad…” (The Old Testament, Isaiah, 42)
The name Muhammad is mentioned as Mushaffah, Munhamanna, and Himyata, in the form of Assyrian names in Hebrew, in the heavenly books. The name Muhammad in its original form was present only in a few places. And those few occurrences were distorted by Jews. Besides, the sentences that Moses made to describe the community he saw in the Torah are very interesting.
When Moses described that community, he said, “They are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah.” The same words are used in verse 110 of the chapter of Aal-i Imran in the Quran:
“Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah”
As it is seen, there is a complete conformity between the expression of Moses in the Torah and in the Quran. This conformity proves that the community that Moses saw was the ummah of Muhammad.
9. “In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; Many nations will come and walk in the name of the Lord our God… (Old Testament, Micah 4 verses 1, 2, 5)
That sentence of the Torah describes clearly the holiest mountain among the mountains, and the takbirs and worshipping of hajjis coming from all over the world; that is, “ummah of Muhammad” known as “ummah given mercy”
10. The Old Testament, Daniel, chapter 2: In this chapter, Nebuchadnezzar, who subverted the state of Assyria, who made the city of Babylon a center and who reigned for forty-three years, the dream he saw and Daniel, who interpreted his dream are mentioned. The summary of the story is as follows:
Daniel, who was in the prison of cruel Nebuchadnezzar, told the king about his dream before Nebuchadnezzar told Daniel about his dream. The king confirmed what he said in astonishment and said, “This was the dream, and now interpret it to me.” Daniel said:
“That sculpture is the dominion in the world. You are the head of it.  After you, another kingdom will rise; it is represented by silver since it is inferior to yours. Then, two more kingdoms will come and will enlarge. Another kingdom of iron will crush and break all the others. Then, it will be replaced by many kingdoms, some of which are strong and some weak; iron and clay cannot be mixed; similarly those kingdoms will not come together and unite. Then, God will demolish those kingdoms and will send a real sultan whose sultanate will continue till Doomsday; that holy person will lead people to bliss in the world an in the hereafter. This is the meaning of the enlargement of the rock that fell from the sky in your dream and broke the idol into pieces.“
Those sentences of the Torah, through which the dream that Daniel interpreted is narrated, inform us about a holy person who will continue living until Doomsday with the religion that he will bring. There is no doubt that that person is our Prophet (pbuh). For the Prophet (pbuh) broke the idols into pieces and conquered the world with his material sultanate and the hearts with his spiritual sultanate.

Welcome to the Apocalypse
The LORD rules over the floodwaters. The LORD reigns as king forever. Psalm 29:10 (NLT)
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “’Disaster! Unheard-of disaster! See, it comes!" Ezekiel 7:5 (NIV)
Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Apocalypse 3:2-3 (NIV)
By now I could have lifted my hand and struck you and your people with a plague to wipe you off the face of the earth. Exodus 9:15 (NLT)
Therefore, on account of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth has withheld its crops. I have summoned a drought on the fields and on the mountains, on the grain, new wine, and oil, and on whatever the ground yields, on man and beast, and on all the labor of your hands. Haggai 1:10-11 (BSB)
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory. Apocalypse 16:8-9 (ESV)
Because you neglected all my counsel, and wanted none of my correction, in turn I will mock your calamity; I will sneer when terror strikes you, when your dread comes like a storm, and your destruction like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish overwhelm you. Proverbs 1:26 (BSB)

Esau Sells His Birthright
27 When the boys grew up, Esau became a skilled hunter. He loved to be out in the fields. But Jacob was a quiet man. He stayed among the tents. 28 Isaac loved Esau. Esau hunted the wild animals that Isaac enjoyed eating. But Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 One day Jacob was boiling a pot of vegetable soup. Esau came in from hunting in the fields. He was weak from hunger. 30 So Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red soup. I am weak with hunger.” (That is why people call him Edom)
31 But Jacob said, “You must sell me your rights as the firstborn son.”
32 Esau said, “I am almost dead from hunger. If I die, all of my father’s wealth will not help me.”
33 But Jacob said, “First, promise me that you will give it to me.” So Esau made a promise to Jacob. In this way he sold his part of their father’s wealth to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and vegetable soup. Esau ate and drank and then left. So Esau showed how little he cared about his rights as the firstborn son. — Genesis 25:27-34 | International Children’s Bible (ICB) The Holy Bible, International Children’s Bible® Copyright© 1986, 1988, 1999, 2015 by Tommy Nelson™, a division of Thomas Nelson. Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 22nd December 2023 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – The Rewards of Righteousness (1).
Tumblr media
TOPIC: The Rewards of Righteousness (1). Memory Verse: Proverbs 21:21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness and honor. Motivational Quote: Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. Prophetic word for today: As you follow after righteousness, God’s honour and glory shall be yours everyday of your life, in the name of Jesus. Fire Scripture Isaiah 38:1-8 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, 3 And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 4 Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, 5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. 6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city. 7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken; 8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down. Praise & Worship BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Haggai 1 – 2; Revelation 3 – 4
MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 22ND DECEMBER 2023
Righteousness is a distinctive mark of true believers. It is a gift from our righteous Father. It is the believer’s key to all-round fulfilment. The Bible says, “Seek the kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need” (Matthew 6:33). It is important that all people (believers and unbelievers alike) understand the rewards of righteousness. This will encourage more people to follow after righteousness and enjoy its eternal blessings. Let us examine some of the rewards of righteousness: The first reward of righteousness is that it promotes life and honour. When God commanded us to follow after righteousness. He has some rewards for those who would obey: His own kind of life (Zoe). abundant life and eternal life, a lifestyle of upright living or right standing with God as well as honour. Proverbs 21:21 underscores this point. “He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness and honor.” Proverbs 11:19 buttresses this point when it says that righteousness tends to life. The truth that righteousness promotes long life is exemplified in the story of King Hezekiah of Judah. In Isaiah 38, the Bible recounts that Hezekiah was sick unto death and God sent Prophet Isaiah to him. God’s message through His prophet was clear: “Set your house in order: for thou shall die and not live.” The Bible affirms that King Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed unto the LORD. His prayer points reveal his right standing with God, which paid him great dividend. Hezekiah beseeched God to remember that he had walked consistently with Him God in truth and with perfect heart. He had consistently done what is good in God’s sight. Then he wept sore. God found Hezekiah’s defense to be true and granted his plea. Hence, God sent Prophet Isaiah back to King Hezekiah with good news. God’s word through Isaiah was, “Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father. I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold I will add unto thy days fifteen years. And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city” (Isaiah 38:4-6). Beloved, it pays to be righteous!

Reading 1
HG 1:1-8
On the first day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius, The word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai to the governor of Judah, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, and to the high priest Joshua, son of Jehozadak:
Thus says the LORD of hosts: This people says: “The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.” (Then this word of the LORD came through Haggai, the prophet:) Is it time for you to dwell in your own paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?
Now thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways! You have sown much, but have brought in little; you have eaten, but have not been satisfied; You have drunk, but have not been exhilarated; have clothed yourselves, but not been warmed; And whoever earned wages earned them for a bag with holes in it.
Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways! Go up into the hill country; bring timber, and build the house That I may take pleasure in it and receive my glory, says the LORD.
Responsorial Psal
PS 149:1B-2, 3-4, 5-6A AND 9B
R./ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Sing to the LORD a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in their maker, let the children of Zion rejoice in their king. R./ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Let them praise his name in the festive dance, let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD loves his people, and he adorns the lowly with victory. R./ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their couches; Let the high praises of God be in their throats. This is the glory of all his faithful. Alleluia. R./ The Lord takes delight in his people.
Gospel
LK 9:7-9
Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him.
