"Drop them." Caretaker ordered, causing Whumper to freeze. Their arm was under whumpees shoulder, they seemed barely conscious and are clinging to their arm for support.
"I SAID DROP THEM!" Caretaker yells.
"As you wish." Whumper sighs; the second they unhook their arm, whumpee collapses on their knees with a wounded gasp.
Unfortunately, that's how caretaker realized they're hurt.

Give me Caretaker bridal carrying a weak Whumpee who is desperately trying to stay conscious…Whumpees arms are around Caretakers neck and their head is bobbing up and down against Caretakers chest.
And then suddenly, all at once, Caretaker notices Whumpee somehow feels heavier. Caretaker looks down at Whumpee just as Whumpee’s arms fall limp and their head flops backwards. And Caretaker has to drop to the ground both out of shock and panic as well as to check that their precious cargo is still breathing and to recollect Whumpees deadweight limbs to their chest before they stand back up

Armored whump
- The heavy clunk of a Whumpee in armor brought to their knees.
- A sword slammed into the ground in an attempt to keep themself from falling right over.
- Arms trembling as they try to keep themself up, the weight of their armor pushing them further down, bearing on their bruises.
- They're already succumbing to gravity. They're panting, barely holding on, leaning heavily on their sword, or their staff, their lance.
- Making the effort to use it to push themself to their feet again, pulling the sword back out of the ground, swooshing their lance as they find the strength for another round.
- The sound of a sword clanking against stone when it's twirled out of their grip or when they no longer have the strength to hold it.
- A sword kicked away. Or worse, a heavy boot crunching down on it just as Whumpee manages to close a hand around the hilt.
- The soft clinking sounds of defeat drawing nearer when the enemy approaches slowly, fully aware Whumpee is already defeated. Metal crunches with each step. Armor jingles with his soft movements, when he crouches down in front of Whumpee.
- The tip of a sword scratching along over metal, teasing over their chest plates until it finally finds the weak spot of the armor and slowly pushes through.
- Also, armor is heavy :) Give me exhausted armored characters, dragging themself along. They are supposed to stay ahead of the rest, be their shield... but every battle and by now every step has been wearing on them. And it won't take long before they'll just collapse.

That little look a character gives right before they collapse.
Having been slowly getting more and more unfocused, people talking around them but them not noticing. How could they notice when it was taking all their energy just to stay upright?
The world getting more and more hazy. Their breaths becoming rougher and more labored, struggling harder every time they inhale.
Someone calls their name and their head jolts up. They make eye contact for just a moment. Their gaze tells it all.
Sweaty faced, glassy eyed, lips slightly apart in an attempt to please breathe. The lost, helpless look they give betrays every weakness, every struggle going on inside them. Their eyes keen towards whoever they make eye contact with, begging to be saved.
And then they faint.

A Whumpee protects Caretaker from a threat by using all of their magic at once. All of them powerful. When the threat is gone, Whumpee collapses in Caretaker's arms, much to Caretaker's shock and worry.
Whumpee has been out for a few days, and when they wake up, they see Caretaker, asleep in the chair next to Whumpee's bed, holding their hand.

Deaged Danny escapes the GIW and goes to Gotham. He has some sort of connection to the Waynes, but it doesn't really matter the exact details. Possible options:
Demon twins (Danny is deaged to whatever age Damian thought he died as)
Lost child/sibling (Danny was adopted, Tucker tracked down living bio-relatives to one of the Waynes. Dealer's choice on which Wayne and how they're related, and how they react to Danny being the wrong age.)
Danny is a clone (in which the Fentons are crazy and cloned one of the Waynes, OR Danny was born in a lab for an unrelated plot and one of the scientists grew a conscience and put the baby in the system for adoption. Again, Tuck is the real mvp here.)
Etc
Danny gets settled into the Wayne family, who immediately start researching and tearing down the GIW on behalf of their newest member.
Suddenly, the boomerang appears out of nowhere and launches at Danny. He's terrified the Fentons (either a bad reveal or at least the ASSUMPTION of a bad reveal) or the GIW sent it, but hopeful that it might be his friends looking for him.
Instead, it's an age-correct version of Danny, who is absolutely losing his shit because he finally found the baby clone, thank the ancients he's safe, are you injured, how long have you been with the Waynes, how much do they know?
In other words, Danny was cloned by the GIW but didn't know, when his friends (and parents if the bad reveal turned out to be false) came to rescue him and destroy the facility, the clone with all of his memories also escaped (believing themselves to be the original), none of them the wiser. The clone sought out their connection to the Waynes, believing that returning home wouldn't be safe. Team Phantom (and/or Fentons) only discovered the clone's existence a few days later while combing through the data they stole from the GIW facility and then immediately set out to find the lost clone.
Tucker (and/or Fenton parents) created a bracelet to mask Danny's ecto-signature to prevent the GIW from finding him again, and had the brilliant idea to use the boomerang to find the clone since it couldn't track Danny now. (Or they tested the effectiveness of the bracelet with the boomerang, which took a hard left and disappeared off to the east. After discovering the existence of the clone, they had a collective ‘oh shit’ moment and quickly accessed the boomerang’s gps data to track it down.)

okay but the flashback scene
with Three and the armour
and Murderbot refusing to take it
Murderbot is so indignant and frustrated and unwilling to address why in its narrative. it doesn't understand why it didn't take the armour if Three was offering them.
honestly i'm not entirely sure why either. so i guess this rambly excuse for meta is my attempt to work through the possible reasons?
the armour is Three's. Murderbot is not going to take one of Three's handful of personal possessions, even if Three has yet to fully grok that it's allowed to have personal possessions. it's like taking candy from a baby, basically.
the armour is Barrish-Estranza branded. Murderbot does not like branding.
ART's made it its own special missions clothes. the security consultant outfit from NE, the new enviro-suit in SC. it has its own, tailor made clothes now.
... so of course, it doesn't need or want the mass produced uniformity of SecUnit armour anymore
especially since, as it's mentioned a couple times in the past, but really drives home this time... SecUnit armour isn't as good as human armour. it's just extra shielding for the fleshy bits.
Murderbot is finally starting to process the trauma which was the sheer shittiness of its governed existence. that's what REDACTED was all about. and the armour was just one more part of that, one more trigger, one more reminder.
and i think the answer is, all of these above. a big complex jumble that Murderbot doesn't want to look at and pick apart because it's too painful right now.
but it's confusing. because before it wanted armour. armour kept it safe. physically, in battle. emotionally, hiding itself from the humans.
in All System's Red it says, "I love you armour, and I'm never leaving you again."
But it did leave that armour. and it's grown beyond it.
it couldn't fit back inside if it tried.

Caretaker getting drugged ahead of time so when Whumper comes to recollect Whumpee, all they can do is slump weakly to the floor and watch it happen in a blur until everything fades away

Random whumpy fainting stuff
From a person who passes out almost daily from dehydration and POTS
Fainting can be dramatic (eyes rolling back, falling to the floor, etc), but it can also be subtle sometimes. Even standing up, your whumpee could just sway in place a bit, eyes going unfocused and dilated. Maybe those around them grow concerned as they realize whumpee is unresponsive, before moving to touch them, shake their shoulder, and watching with horror as whumpee tips over and slumps to the floor.
When your whumpee is coming to, there’s often a few seconds where they are aware of and can understand everything around them, but are unable to move or talk. Just laying there, maybe mumbling something quietly or waving a hand at most, body still coming back online.
Whumpee catching themself passing out, deliberately breathing slow and deep in an attempt to not faint, even as they slowly feel their thoughts leaving them. The darkness fuzzing in on the corners of their vision and masking their surroundings, and the last, frustrated thought of “well, shit” as they sink to the ground, breathing exercises having failed them.
Alternatively, there can also be a few seconds after (before??) coming to when your whumpee isn’t cognizant of what is happening, but it appears like they are. They may sit up, even respond to a basic question, and then blink awake, completely disoriented at already being upright and moving.
Everyone around them freaking out, disorienting whumpee even further as they wake up to the concerned voices and roaming hands and prodding and questions. Whumpee attempting to brush everyone off, appease everyone, to just get away as they maybe stagger to their feet or curl into a ball.

Whumpee was stoic. They always had an unreadable face when they didn't want to be read. But when they got captured, that unreadable face was never ending. No joy, no sorrow, just: nothing.
"But you went through such torment." They would say. "You can talk about it, you can rest." But whumpee always shook their head and said they were fine.
Except they weren't. Then one day, the stress built up to a sickening fever and they collapsed;
~In front of everyone~

When A is woken up in the middle of the night and at first they’re not sure why. They rub their eyes and look around blearily; all looks in order. But damn they’re hot. And as soon as that thought appears, they realize with a start it’s coming from next to them - and they look down in horror at B, laying curled into their side. B is absolutely radiating heat - so much so that A is sweaty just from being pressed against them, though no where near as drenched as B. B is shaking and whimpering pathetically, and looks pale even in the low light of the moon, with bright red spots high on their cheeks. A realizes they must not have been feeling well for a while and not mentioned anything, because with a fever like this there’s no way B didn’t go to bed feeling terribly unwell. And A hadn’t noticed.
A tries to wake B up gently, knowing they need to take their temperature and get them some water and meds, but after a few gentle hair strokes and rubbing of B’s arm, they realize B isn’t rousing at all. And if anything their face seems more pained and frightened than it had a minute ago. A starts getting frantic, shaking B harder and calling their name in a panic. They see B’s eyes flutter beneath the lids briefly, then stop as their head dropped even more towards the bed. A’s stomach drops when they realize their aren’t able to rouse B at all. Uh oh.

passing out, but it's not sudden. it's slow. it builds. the heavy cotton behind the eyelids and ears, conversation going muffled and eyes fluttering shut, struggling against the creeping unconsciousness. the shaky reaching out, the questioning noises, the grasping an arm for stability and missing, meeting the floor, dazed, disoriented, before the warm embrace of darkness encircles them and the shouts of their friends are no more than silence.

I don't know why but I love when a character collapses and they reflexively answer no when someone asks them if they think they've hit their head but later pauses and goes "I... I think I may have hit my head."

Whump Prompt #1291
Whumptober #23: "Who's there?"
“I  can’t see inside - who are we missing? Did everyone get out? Who’s hurt?”
"The smokes too thick - stay close everyone. We should do a headcount."
"One, two, three, four - where's [whumpee]?"
"I- I dont know."
A second explosion occurs, and all eyes turn to the entrance of the collapsing building.
