PRIZM was formed on the project show Two and Two, also known as 2&2, where the members competed for spots in the group. on May 1, 2017, the group revealed the fandom name ‘spexrum’

KITSCH [Hangul: 키치] is a five-membered co-ed group under ColorCover Entertainment. The group immediately gained popularity after their debut announced, as the two boy members are former members of the company's EL!TE Project, a project boy group that silently disbanded in early 2020; Danbi is the older sister of Jaesoon from the company's first boy group, LUC-KEY; and Bora and Chaewon being former Produce 101 contestants. au where idol k is a reality competition show and the popularity pool result is the final round up (which means yata and fushimi get to debut in the same group, yay?) (also, idk if you are familiar with korean reality shows like produce 101 or boys planet, but they usually arrange the seats in a way that the #1 seat is at the top and its usually a big deal where the trainees choose to sit on the first day. They can also kick other idols out of their seats in whichever way both trainees choose to compete for the seat, but this is usually done for the #1 seat)
Can you imagine that group, not just Yata and Fushimi debuting together but also Mikoto and Munakata too, the rest of the group would be trying just to keep those four from killing each other or destroying the set. Yata and Fushimi would probably be early frontrunners even from the start, like Yata's energy and Fushimi's mysterious aura of gloom make them very popular amongst the audience. Initially they take seats on opposite sides but maybe after the first round of voting Yata ends up first and in the middle seat, he's all proud of himself and gloating to Fushimi, who immediately decides to challenge him. From that point on the two of them are constantly swinging between who's in first and who's second, complaining that 'who would want to debut with you' even when it's more than clear that they're both going to end up in the final group together.
Meanwhile the rest of the group are all doing their best to be noticed with those two causing all the chaos. Munakata is the smooth polished idol who commands attention from the moment he steps on the stage while Mikoto's very lackadaisical about the whole thing, imagine Munakata always having to lecture him about trying his hardest for the fans and Mikoto just yawns in his face. Despite their differences the two are only below Yata and Fushimi, maybe something happens halfway through that nearly gets Mikoto disqualified and there's a whole storyline about how Munakata reacts (by appearing disapproving but really he's irritated that Mikoto could have blown his whole career). The whole issue also involves Mikoto's fellow trainees Kusanagi and Totsuka, say Totsuka has to leave for a while after being shot by a crazed fan and Munakata thinks Kusanagi has been encouraging Mikoto's poor behavior in the aftermath. This causes Mikoto's popularity to momentarily dip, but once the whole thing is resolved and Totsuka returns Mikoto jumps back up to just one spot below Munakata. Mikoto would prefer to take a seat as far from Munakata as possible but you know wherever he ends up sitting Munakata just so happens to show up next to him.
For the rest of the group, I imagine Kuroh and Shiro trying to be low key in the background, Kuroh working hard quietly and trying to avoid drama while Shiro sits next to him a lot and they become friends. Kuroh does have some issues when his adoptive brother Yukari ends up joining the show too and becomes popular, Yukari's true passion is beauty but he believes that can be found in singing as well. Kuroh had thought that Yukari gave up on performing when he left their training with idol producer Ichigen Miwa, Yukari however met up with young up and coming idol trainee Hisui and now they're a team, this probably somehow turns into Kuroh and Shiro versus Yukari and Hisui and Shiro's like I thought we were avoiding drama. Meanwhile actually avoiding drama are dark horse underdogs Doumyouji and Akiyama, who no one even noticed were constantly polling highly until they make the final group.

the use of "baby" amongst the men in deliverance is fascinating

Realizing that my fav age to do programing with is 8th grade boys. I can get on the same wavelength of an 8th grade boy immediately.
#I used to think 10 year olds were my fav age group but I really like middle school the most now#I also typically hate when people split classes by gender because the Cis of The Whole Thing BUT#at the same time I will say the dynamic of a group of just 8th grade boys or just 8th grade girls is SO different from co-ed#in a way that tends to often be…Better…because there’s not the same weird middle school peer group dynamics#and I think kids tend to engage more freely or enthusiastically or weirdly when those dynamics are gone#high school is still the age I have the hardest time with I think high schoolers are so hard

It's really fucking stupid to me that the Raksura get violently murderous when they're in labor to the point they'll even try to murder their own family members because like, they still fucking need midwives. And this has been a feature rather than a bug since as long as anyone can remember.
Like, either they'd have a fucking system in place to knock the person giving birth out once they know for sure they're going into labor, or make them so loopy they're just chill the whole time with fantasy laughing gas or something, or...they'd evolve to not try to murder the midwife in the first place simply due to the fact that the people who are most violently homicidal and likely to *literally kill the midwife* would be the ones most likely to die from complications because the midwife who *could have saved their life and the lives of their children* is currently bleeding out on the other side of the room.
If you're trying to create a fantasy species of people and you're looking at animal behavior for inspiration, you...cannot just take traits of animals and transplant them 1:1 onto people and not think through how this trait would impact and evolve in the society these people live in.
Unless other members of the species are still actively trying to murder any newborn babies they can get their hands on, having the members of your species who give birth flying into homicidal rages when they're in labor is the exact opposite of evolutionarily fit. That is causing more people to die than it saves. The reason bears and crap don't let other members of their species near their babies is because the other members will fucking kill the cubs because it means less competition for /their/ offspring.
If your fantasy people are not literally still doing this, it is not realistic that they'd still fly into a homicidal rage when in labor unless complications with birth are like, completely unheard of and they never need any help or supervision at all, so there's never been any reason for midwives to exist and the mere idea of "helping" someone give birth is seen as absurd beyond belief.

Btw that whole magic mechanics post is bc I want Witch!Helia and Fairy!Nabu to make their own little diminutive group off of the Winx, and I wanted to make some lore of how Fairy-Witch convergences work
I've discovered that they need another Fairy friend for this to match the general rules of powerful magic in my hcs, so (spins a roulette circle around) Nex is a Fairy now
Idk anything about him except that I need a third for Helia and Nabu's Little friend group and he's standing right there and is officially apart of the main cast so he gets be hit with the Fairyifcation beam.
