The bad batch season 3 premier reactions
Ep 1 - confined
I fully forgot about this premier until I was eating lunch and it hit me oh I'm so intrigued
Palps being front and centre in the D+ poster delights me
Not them starting with tech's death lol
Why is it so fucking dark it's animation you have the ability to make it visible so easily
Omega baby I'm so sorry yeah it sucks to be a star wars main character huh
That's some sweeney todd coloured blood lmao
While palpatine cloning nonsense in ep ix is... a Choice, and this justification in other shows doesn't fix it, I just love palpatine shenanigans
Oh Omega has a pony tail... she's been there a while
'I wouldn't think twice about leaving you behind' he lied
The way this season starts with a child prisoner just going through it is brutal
Episode 2 - paths unknown
Isa is spreading her legs so wild on that throne what a power move
The boys!! Oh they look like fucking shit these poor bastards lol
Child clones out in the wild nooo poor babies
I love their little kiwi accents omg and they sound like actual teen boys this VA is great
Again with the bad lighting
Okay but why are space ships apparently so easy to steal in this galaxy?
Oh hey the writers remembered Hunter's abilities
Okay this plotline was a little predictable but the boys are charming at least
Episode 3 - shadow of tantiss
I hope this episode has something real juicy in it
I'm not really a fan of Crosshair's character so I kinda love seeing him miserable lmaoooo
Feels like Emerie doesn't have the best hygienic practices. A blood sample without cleaning the the skin???
Omg Nala Se telling Omega to leave oooohhh
PALPATINE!! SLAY!! What's this cheeky bastard up to?
Project necromancer???
I do love Crosshair's mean little voice
I live for how unphased Omega is about the Emperor
Oh Palpatine... God love him even his backup plans have backup plans
I do miss his slay outfits from when he was chancellor
Not Crosshair shading Tech like that
Omega murdered those troopers lmao
Does Omega have a high M-Count???
Oh bitch Omega is force sensitive
Overall a... fine premier lol
My favourite part was Palpatine but story beats were kinda predictable

The Clone Wars 4.08 ‘The General’ Reaction Take 2
Tumblr media
“A shrewd and temperamental leader” That’s putting it mildly
There’s so many death screams of clones in these episodes, it’s just heartbreaking.
Jeez Kix, did you have to jab the hypo that hard into the poor dude's neck? Or at least I’m assuming that’s Kix.
Fives and Rex fighting and shooting next to each other again. I love the way the kama’s fan out behind their legs. And that is a very fine shot of Rex’s very fine thighs again.
Krell just fucking rolling over a dead clone with his foot. Fucker. Do something! Don’t just wander around in the background while the clones do all the work.
There’s a lot of military tropes in the music, which makes sense.
“I dunno. Could be fun.” omg Hardcase now is not the time
Tumblr media
Jesse, baby, please, what are you doing? You need that brain cell.
“Yeah, but General Skywalker is usually leading his men up in the front, not bringing up the rear like General Krell.” Fives again saying what everything is thinking.
The clones' accents are all over the shop again. Various different clones have all had moments of sounding Aussie, Kiwi, British and American at some point. I’m really not sure what accent they’re supposed to sound like they have at this point. In the scene where all the clones making very valid points about Krell’s tactics, Tup sounds almost British. Rex also has hints of British (that ‘air base’ sounded like a posh officer from WWII or similar). Jesse starts out sounding American (‘yah know, I’) and then suddenly veers into very broad Aussie (‘crazy before’) before finishing in … vague Antipodean? Fives definitely sounds American (the ‘a’ in ‘capital’ was definitely a broad American ‘ah’). Still not sure what Hardcase is. Chaotic probably. Dogma sounds British, also almost like a posh officer, with hints of Kiwi. Rex also has hints of Kiwi now too and Fives sounded very Aussie there. It’s also really interesting that Rex’s voice changes between talking to the Jedi and talking to fellow clones, which also makes sense. The difference is more noticeable here when it’s between dealing with Krell and talking to his men.
This hushed convo between Rex and Fives has some beautiful close up detail. You can really tell from Rex’s voice just how upset he is.
Boys, why are you crawling on the floor? What is this spider clone nonsense?
Does anyone know what the detail on the front of Fives’ bucket is? I vaguely recall reading somewhere that it’s Mandalorian inspired but I’m not entirely sure that was legit.
Tumblr media
Oh great, a centipede tank. Just what we needed.
Yas, more Star Wars universe swearing
“We need rocket launchers” Hardcase is going to be very happy about that
Mayday? *sobs*
Tumblr media
Rex standing there all sassy with his hands on his hips
Cackling at the clones trying to lure the centipede tanks towards them. That is not subtle boys. Though I suppose it wasn’t supposed to be. Still funny though.
Tumblr media
Rex being an absolute BAMF. First being all ice cold under pressure waiting for the right moment to blow the detonators as the centipede tanks bear down on them. Then getting thrown through the air by the subsequent explosion that he just created. Cool guys don’t look at explosions etc etc.
“No juice left in him either.” *blam blam* Rex getting all the one liners and action hero moments.
I clocked this the first time but didn’t remember it in my first reaction post. Those flying Umbaran creatures looked like they were going to eat a dead clone, kind of like space vultures, and it’s Kix that runs up and shoots them to make sure they don’t. His “Still hungry? Chew on that!” is full of rage and shows just how pissed off he is. You can see him linger after, looking at the fallen clone, and Rex has to tell him “Hey, Kix, leave it.” It’s a very brief moment but you really get a sense of just how strongly and deeply Kix cares.
Also, Rex just casually blasts the last creature out of the sky like it's nothing. Sir, you’re showing off again.
“We’ve got a problem.” That’s an understatement
Fives little head shake when Rex asks him if he has any ideas :(
This is a fucking massacre
Tumblr media
Omg that wounded clone was shot right in front of Kix as he was treating him. Fuck. I think there were what looked like 2 other medics also with him but I can’t quite tell.
Tumblr media
"You sound like General Krell." The way Rex stops, you can tell that line from Kix hurt. That entire exchange between Rex and Kix was heartbreaking. They both sound so upset and angry and they’re both just trying to do the best with what they can and it’s still not enough and it’s all awful.
Why is Appo being treated like a piece of furniture to hold the holo of Rex?
“Or you will be relieved of duty.” Well at least that line is going to come back and bite Krell in the arse later on. Especially as Rex delivers in a much more badass manner.
The next 4 gifs are by @kamino-coruscant from their great gifset of this entire exchange. I usually try to use the tumblr gif search, despite it being a completely useless dumpster fire, but tumblr is refusing to cooperate and is doing weird stuff today so hopefully I've credited this as best as possible.
Tumblr media
Hardcase: So anyway, I started blasting
Tumblr media
Lol Fives did you really need to slide down that hill
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hardcase has ADHD confirmed. Or at least as close to confirmed in canon that we’re ever going to get. It’s not as nuanced yet obvious as the quote from Tech but I’m glad there’s more neurodivergent clones.
Fives: *minecraft villager noise*
That’s a pretty fucken big sensor wall
Oh hello close up shot of Fives’ hands
Naw, Hardcase grumbling to himself
That was a pretty damn impressive shot. Hardcase just took out the weird Umbaran creature with a single shot using a grappling hook. A grappling hook. Not a blaster. A grappling hook.
“Wow. I never actually thought that would work.” That’s not reassuring Fives!
Ok, who gave Rex a rocket launcher
Jesus H Christ that clone just got crushed by the giant tank foot
“Start pushing buttons.” STILL CACKLING
Well at least we now know what it would be like if Fives and Hardcase ever went on a roller coaster
Tumblr media
Hardcase is having the time of his life, hanging upside down shooting enemies
Tumblr media
Omg I am loving Fives maniacal laughter
Ahahahaha they are both loving this
Tumblr media
Gif by @kamino-coruscant from this post
Kix screaming and shooting uncontrollably is another of those small moments that show just how affected he is by all this. You can see how much all of this has worn down on him as the episode progresses and it’s a really interesting and subtle way of showing how awful this whole situation is that even the most gentle of men, and a medic, has been pushed to his limits. Kind of like Kix represents the heart of the 501st and Torrent. Insert your own reference here to that quote about a wise man fearing the anger of a gentle man and all that.
That moment, where there’s plenty of shaky cam and you hear Rex sigh/pant/gasp for breath and shoot the rocket launcher at the tank again only for it to still be standing. You really get the sense of just how dire everything is there.
Oh that is a definitely a ‘the cavalry have arrived moment’. What a fanfare.
Was Rex surrounded by 3 tanks?!
Tumblr media
I don’t know what it is but that shot where Fives says “Clear out, captain.” just feels really poignant for some reason. Like there’s more than just Fives and Hardcase arriving to save the day. It’s also Fives saving Rex and everything that he means to and has done for Fives (and Echo *sobs*). It’s past midnight and I’m probably reading too much into this but it just felt like a moment.
Tumblr media
“The big guns have arrived, sir!” Hardcase sounds so happy that he’s found a bigger gun
Hardcase having the absolute time of his life there
Tumblr media
That’s the second time Rex has eaten dirt after an explosion in this episode. Insert 2 nickles reference here.
Tumblr media
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
“Alright, let’s bring ‘em home.” I adore Fives. I just adore him so much.
“Impressive.” If that was so impressive, then WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TRY TO EXECUTE THEM FOR DOING THE EXACT SAME THING?! This fuck face needs to meet with an open air lock immediately. I didn’t think it was possible for me to hate a character this much but oh boy do I ever now.
Tumblr media
Fire burning in yellow eyes? That’s not subtle at all.
“Despite Hardcase’s flying” Wow, savage much Rex?
“Luck has smiled on you today, Captain.” ah fuck off
Tumblr media
Oh, his clenched fist. Oh.
Tumblr media
Badass group shot to finish! From left to right: I can’t tell who the four clones on the left are. Fives and Rex in the middle. Then Jesse and Hardcase (with the biggest gun he could possibly find), followed by Kix and Dogma. Kix has the big triangle on his chest plate and the diagonal thick blue stripe around his thicc right thigh. Dogma has the downwards pointing blue V on his chest plate. Oooh, that means they’re visual opposites of each other. Interesting. I’ve also just realised that Fives is very blue and grey. There’s very little white on his armour. Though that may be the lighting because I’ve just googled his armour and there is actually more white on it than it looks. I do like his stripy patterned kama.
Lmao I just rewatched the start of this scene at the end and when Hardcase takes his helmet off he shakes his head like he’s shaking out his hair. Hardcase, you have no hair. You’re bald. Babe, what are you doing?
Cackling at the side eye Hardcase gives Jesse when he says he looked a little green when he came out of that fighter.
Still adoring Jesse every time he appears. There’s a gentleness to him under everything and he just seems really sweet.
Oh these boys have my heart. I’ve completely fallen for all of them. Everything for the clones.

Bad Batch “Pabu”
(Spoilers below! My theory on what Pabu means for the Batch)
So here’s the thing: inevitably, the Batch can’t stay on this planet. At least not yet. With certain members of the Empire now after Omega, and Crosshair now on Mount Tantiss as well (or so it seems, at least), the story will demand the Batch to leave at some point and likely end up on Mount Tantiss, or possibly become involved in the long-predicted clone rebellion.
But I think Pabu answers a question that many fans watching TBB have had for awhile now; What happened to the Bad Batch? The two most commonly offered answers were either that the Batch were killed sometime after the war (and before the Rebellion era of A New Hope/Rebels) or that they had escaped to a safe, unknown location where the Empire wouldn’t be a threat. And for a long time, fans haven’t been sure which is more likely. Given how often they crossed paths with the Empire or Rex, the former option seemed likely at times. But now, I think this is a glimpse at the Batch’s future.
Phee tells the Batch that Pabu is a safe haven that no one else in the galaxy really knows about. She’s never even told Cid. Phee also says most of the people living on Pabu are refugees from during and after the war, similarly to the Batch. And the Batch were happy there. And not just Hunter and Omega, but Tech and Wrecker too. Tech commented how beautiful the place was. Wrecker talked about how he’d never felt full before. Since they became fugitives after Order 66, they’ve been living on the bread line, barely getting enough to eat, never having enough money, never feeling entirely safe. Pabu offers security and a chance to live without feeling the obligation of being a soldier, and I think the current Batch members want that.
One of the things I’ve seen a few fans say (not all, but certainly a few) especially at the beginning of season 2, was that the Batch wasn’t really interested in settling down, that they wanted to fight alongside Rex/the early Rebellion, and that Hunter was mainly interested in laying low because of Omega. I’ve even see the argument that because the Batch is so skilled and would be an asset to the Rebellion, it’s their responsibility to join the Rebellion because it’s the right thing to do, and that if the Batch decided to go hide away to escape the war, that would be selfish. But I think season 2 has really set up that that’s just not what the Batch wants to do. Had it been, they would have joined Echo back in episode 8. They’ve always agreed to help Rex when he really needed it, but they don’t want a permanent place in the Rebellion. And it’s not only because of Omega, but because a life away from war is something that Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker are interested in for themselves too.
With Rex, and now Echo, we’ve seen clones who decided to join the Rebellion and keep fighting. We’ve seen clones who were proud to be soldiers, and didn’t want to change that. The Bad Batch is a chance to explore what it would be like for clones who were tired of being soldiers, of fighting for someone else. It’s a chance to see what clones would do if they had the option to choose a new life for themselves, and what if they chose a completely different path than that of a soldier. And insisting that clones should join the Rebellion because they’re skilled soldiers and it’s their responsibility, is just what happened during the Clone Wars. It’s reminiscent of all the people, both from the Republic and then the Empire, who insisted the clones were soldiers who had to follow orders. ((It’s also not an argument I’ve ever seen applied to other characters, so I tend to squint when it’s suggested that clones, who despite being literally made with the purpose of being soldiers in an army have always proven that they’re individuals  who think and feel like any other person, should stay as soldiers or some variant for the rest of their lives)).
Now with Pabu, the Batch has a chance to live their own lives. And we the fans have a possible in-universe explanation as to why the Bad Batch has never been seen or mentioned in later SW installments.

Actually I wasn't going to rewatch season 1 of tbb or the arc in tcw because I already rewatched it a few months ago before the delay od season .
But now I start the challenge to watch everything with the bad batch in it till season 2 comes out.... which is already in 3 days (not counting today. The day is almost over anyway).
I won't sleep or eat until I'm through everything if I have to.
And I blame you and your post with the deleted scenes for this idea.
So yeah thank you very much for that... and no, that's not meant to be sarcastic.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, but please remember to sleep and eat. Your health is more valuable than your current hyperfixation. :)
In the past hour I've received several reactions on that post from people who were unaware of the CW Unfinished Episodes. I have been a fan since Clone Wars was a Saturday morning Cartoon Network ritual, so perhaps I've made incorrect assumptions that everyone I interact with here remembers when Disney abruptly cancelled CW, fired half the creative team, and redirected efforts toward Rebels in 2013. Season 7 was mid-production and most episodes were left on the cutting table , including several interesting arcs. Here's a good thread detailing plot summaries and art.
I'd prefer not to give more emotional energy to to the events of a decade ago (besides, Rebels was wonderful, and frankly I preferred the Dark Disciple arc as a novel anyway), but this is relevant again because we've seen some of the stories were saved and used in TOTJ, and models will be used in TBB S2. (NOTE: I am not considering trailer footage as spoilers). For example, the monkey/elephantine beings the Wookiees ride in various trailer footage came straight from the scrapped Season 7 Bad Batch / Yoda / Kashyyyk arc. Image source.
Tumblr media
But I digress - have you considered watching the full Clone Wars Bad Batch unfinished episode arc instead? Disney has done their utmost to scrub all evidence that fans carefully catalogued online, but I definitely watched them from someone's Google Drive folder. If I find it, I'll link it. Or perhaps someone else knows what I'm referring to and will help. :)

Okay. Here we go. Entombed!
Hasn’t even started yet and I know damn well we’re not gonna get crosshair
Wrecker n Omega bonding time 🥰
Ooh more toys? More glass for her kaleidoscope? Is that what that is?
BOLO AND KETCH <3 Phee don’t lead them on tho
Is echo sleeveless.
Nope not for her kaleidoscope
Ooo compass
I still can’t tell if he’s sleeveless or not. Cause bitch ain’t got no melanin for no stinkin reason.
No he’s got sleeves on I think
This is gonna be a case of the revealed “actually I’ve never been a good treasure hunter /I’ve never actually retrieved any treasure” schtick isn’t it. Star Wars you’ve already DONE that with that stupid droid spy arc that nobody likes (except for when Gregor 🥰). BUT GOD NOT ANOTHER PLEASE I fucjin hate that trope.
Hondo prefers pirate, Phee prefers liberater of artefacts… nobody likes smuggler
God I miss crosshair
Bolo and ketch episode when
That droid is literally a walking soda can
It called entombed bc they going to entombed ha ha ha.
I love you Omega
I LOVE YOU WRECKER
Hm… Jedi temple?
Oh no more like Space Atlantis.
Poor wrecker always has to do the work. His muscles are probably always screaming. Doesn’t matter that he’s Big and Strong—he can be overworked too!
Hahaha. called entombed bc they entombed rolling my eyes.
I miss fun Star Trek ep titles. They were fun. When am I gonna get a title like “Far Beyond the Stars” or “Take Me Out To The Holosuite” from this show.
Those highlights ones don’t follow a pattern… but okay.
Not a fan of this ep sorry guys :(
Echo and Hunter go hmmm idk about this . Good on them
Kyber crystal?
FINALLY HUNTER USING A SENSE geez they never let him use his enhancements
Cave boy tru eat wrecker! No thank you cave boy!
O NO. TRAPPED
Momentarily forgot Hunter existed (couldn’t count four clones for some reason and couldn’t figure out who was missing). Which is a lot like how the writers forget HUNTER HAS ENHANCEMENTS
AAAAAND THEY FORGOT AGAIN
He! Would! Be! Able! To! Sense! That!
Omega sweetie you’re so smart. I love you.
OOOO ITS LIKE THOSE ROLLY TUNNELS YOU CAN FIND AT A PARK I wanna go inside
Not a kyber crystal ig
Wait maybe? Idk I can’t tell
It’s a lot smaller than I expected tbh.
Oh the place is gonna collapse isn’t—yep.
spache chip? Mega mech? Mech.
Oh…
Oh this is something… I’ve seen something… it looks like something I know but I don’t know what. What is it. Pausing to think.
I don’t know but it… it reminds me of SOMETHING.
Soda can on da move
Soda can crushed
It really is quite the interesting design for a mechanical creature. Majestic and terrifying. Too bad it has to go. It was truly gorgeous. Something to behold. Whatever it was.
Tech: can we fucking stop treasure hunting now jfc
“At least no one can ever activate that thing again” … we’re gonna see another of these aren’t we.
Hunter: for the love of god please stop filling my child’s head with fucking bullshit
Hm. Not a fan of that ep. Kind of bummed. This seasons got a slow pace to it. Crosshair soon? Maybe Rex and Gregor again? Soon please?

My Top 5 Best Shows of 2022
Tumblr media
Hey how's it going everyone its Dan here and today I'll be giving you my Top 5 best shows of 2022!
Just like my Top 5 worst shows list, this is all my opinion, you can agree or disagree with me and that's okay! are we clear? lets begin!
Tumblr media
Number 5 goes to Primal Season 2 on Adult Swim/HBO MAX (8/10)
Now this was made by Genndy Tartakovsky the creator behind classics such as Samurai Jack, Dexter's Laboratory, Symbiotic Titan (that show deserves to be brought back), and the limited Star Wars: The Clone Wars series from the early 2000's. When I heard he was bringing this show out, I was interested and I watched the first season and it slapped! This show will give you unfiltered nuts to butts action and make you sad at the same time despite that the characters don't actually speak, the facial expressions, tone, body language tells the whole story of the show. Season 2 kept that momentum going with expanding on the world and the characters Spear and Fang. Even the introduction of Mira was a great inclusion into the series as she developed a friendship with Spear and Fang, especially with Spear. They gave a lot of side characters such as the Vikings, Celtics, Witches, etc. The end of the season was action packed to the brim however ended with the loss of Spear which honestly made me sad. However, the season concludes with a time skip to where Mira and Spear have a daughter (they conceived one before his death) and with Fangs children grown as well. I don't know if were getting a season 3 for sure, but even if we don't this is an overall good conclusion to our main characters. I'd recommend watching Primal, it's one of the best in adult animation today.
Tumblr media
Number 4 goes to Spy X Family the anime on Hulu/CrunchyRoll (8/10)
This anime was hyped up and it definitely deserves and lives up to the hype. With anime being more mainstream and honestly saturated nowadays, it's hard to watch them all and figure out which ones are good or bad or which you should invest time into. But Spy X Family stuck out to me because of its plot and the main characters. People compare Loid and Yor to Mr. and Mrs. Smith but I feel that it's quite the opposite, I find Loid and Yor's relationship to be wholesome despite their professions and how they have to fake being a couple with a child. Despite the plan being a setup, they do slowly grow to care and love each other as well as Anya their daughter. Anya truly is the glue that keeps them together bringing out the human side of both Loid and Yor and hoswing them theirs more to life than their work. The situations they get into are hilarious and can be action packed at times. I definitely like the Spy and Assassin elements in this show and keeps it from getting too stale or mundane. I'm sure it'll get a second season, in fact I don't think season 1 is over just yet but even so, 25 episodes means were eating good.
Tumblr media
Number 3 goes to CyberPunk: EdgeRunners on Netflix (8.5/10)
Now this is what I consider to be the apology of CD Projekt Red after the disaster that was CyberPunk: 2077. After that games disastrous launch, CD had lost money in both revenue and even made their stock go WAY down! They did fix the problems with the game but the fans were still upset (and rightfully so). Luckily someone at the HQ had the brains to bring CyberPunk into the world of anime and my god, it's a banger! I literally binged this show on Monday and it was quite a ride. It's a ten episode limited series and surprisingly Netflix picked it up (smart move on their part). The show gives me cowboy bebop vibes only more futuristic and a lot more...mature content shown if ya catch my drift. Despite its limited ten episode run, it does an amazing job immersing you into the world and showing you the characters and the struggles of living in such a corrupt city. Reminds me a lot of a Neo Gotham City from Batman: Beyond and it has a surprising amount of Hispanic culture in it which I personally appreciated. I would have enjoyed two more episodes since there's a time skip between episodes 6 and 7 where months pass and Davis goes through character development and appears bigger and stronger than before but it is what it is. It is sad that the main cast gets killed off one by one, reminds me a lot of Akame Ga Kill where it happens to one out of nowhere and slowly one by one, each member gets killed off leaving one of the main characters left. It's a bittersweet end but that's also what makes it a great series.
Tumblr media
Number 2 goes to Demon Slayer Season 2 aka The Entertainment District Arc on Hulu/CrunchyRoll (9/10)
Now I know technically it started in December 2021 even when you cut out the Mugen train movie being chopped up into episodes at the beginning of the season. It still didn't finish its season run until February of this year so I still count this as more of a 2022 season to a show. I love Demon Slayer and Season 2 did not disappoint, it started out with the events after Mugen train, we got more depth for one of the pillars which was Tengen, more depth about Muzan and his plans, battling one of the upper moons and all action in it! The final battle was intense and the animation was on point! it was so beautifully done and while I'll admit some of the battle scenes felt dragged out, it didn't take away from the animation and visuals we were getting. The ending gave us a hint of what's to come next season and I cannot wait!
Before I go into Number One, I want to shout out some honorable mentions
Tumblr media
First mention I want to shout out is Sonic Prime on Netflix (7.5/10)
Netlfix has truly been getting it together if I have more of its shows on my top 5 best shows list than my top 5 worst shows. I wanted to put Sonic Prime on my actual list but unfortunately it only has 8 episodes released at the moment despite it being slated for 24 episodes. This is Netflix still using that binge model that hasn't really worked since the pandemic due to people not being trapped in their houses anymore. It is what it is but despite that, Sonic Prime shows a lot of promise and is entertaining to watch. As a Sonic fan, its great to see him doing well this year with a successful movie, successful game and a potentially successful show! Were truly in the Sonic Renaissance right now. I love the multiverse idea for Sonic, there is plenty of potential for great storylines but again we'll have to wait until the other 18 episodes get released for a real verdict. It said to have three seasons with eight episodes a pop so we got season 1 with a cliffhanger and hopefully we will get the other two complete seasons. But so far, going strong, going fast!
Tumblr media
My other honorable mention will go to The CupHead Show on Netflix (7.5/10)
Why can't Netflix just keep giving us good shows like this instead of cracking down on password sharing? I do enjoy this show but it also used the Netflix binge model. This show had all three seasons come out this year and while I do find Netflix's binge model annoying, I still enjoy this show. I love that old rubber hose style of animation used back in the early 20th century. The game itself is fun and they made a great adaptation with the show just like CyberPunk: EdgeRunner and hell even Sonic. I don't know where the show goes from here but I will say its had a great run up to this point.
And now for the moment you've all been waiting for, the Number One Best show of 2022 goes to....
Tumblr media
Number 1 goes to Smiling Friends on Adult Swim/HBO MAX (10/10)
This is how you do adult animation that everyone can enjoy! I've mentioned each of these shows have plots or storylines they follow, but the thing with Smiling Friends is, there is no set story or plot. The main purpose of the show is to make people smile not only in the show, but also the viewers. Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack are internet content creators/animators and they managed to something that no one from the internet space has been able to do, make a great TV show! Many have tried and failed to bring internet content to television, but these guys managed to do it thanks to time, effort, proper budgeting, and overall great understanding of what makes this transition possible. Smiling Friends is a simplistic show with various animation styles, realism, great writing, hilarious humor, and overall is in touch with the audience its going for. It never feels like something huge or complex, its a simple show that makes it feel like you're having a fun and relaxing conversation with your buddies and I think that's where the charm and appeal comes from. The best part about this show in my opinion is how it's able to subvert your expectations. Now people thought the first episode was weird but as they watches it, it grew on them. The first episode came out in 2020 and people were waiting for the full series. The first season came out this year and left fans wanting more. Now the crew gave us a little surprise with the Brazil episode and if you read the description, you'll think "oh it's just a nice beach episode" but when you actually watch it, it throws a complete curveball at you. They spent the entire episode in an airport just arguing with each other and it was the funniest surprise anyone could have asked for. No one saw that coming and everyone loved it. I'm so glad this show is getting another season, this show is a perfect example of adult animation done right as well as transitioning internet content to mainstream television and that's why I believe Smiling Friends is the Best Show of 2022!
Thanks for sticking around till the end, I'll get my Top 5 Best/Worst movies out starting tomorrow.
See ya!

While the topic is fresh in my mind, I want to discuss two characterizations in War for Cybertron: Kingdom that I didn't like. I'll be splitting it up into two parts since both explanations will be long.
So, Part 1: allow me to explain why I didn't like Dinobot in Kingdom.
The only characterization he ever really gets is the more honorable member of the Predacons who finally gets the courage to go against his fellow Predacons after talking with a captured Airazor. Not to say that honor isn't a trait of the original cartoon Dinobot, but there's one catch to the original Dinobot: he's an asshole and a gremlin.
Part of what made him such an engaging and fascinating character was that even after joining the Maximals, he wasn't always happy with the choice. There were many times where he missed the Predacon way of doing things, and most of his arc is A.) understanding just what side he should really be on and B.) him struggling to learn how to be a part of the Maximal team in his own unique way. Dinobot was fickle, he was a jerk to his fellow Maximals and considered to or did betray them more than once (that asshole nature is a main reason why he doesn't get along with fellow asshole Rattrap most of the time), and he looks kinda scary and intimidating. This is the guy with fucked up claw hands, rows of sharp teeth, and a mouth that can unhinge like a snake and eat his clone . It's because of this depth, this nuance to his character that made many love him, and it helped aid in making Code of Hero such a devastating episode. Right when Dinobot finally seemed to learn his place in the Beast Wars, after 35 episodes of us in the audience watching and getting to know him, he dies.
I can't say it's the case for everyone, but Dinobot's death in Kingdom had no impact on me whatsoever. It felt like the writers trying to claim an emotional scene by birthright rather than by good effort of buildup within the writing. Or alternatively, it was them thinking "Well Dinobot died in the original show so he has to die here too cuz tradition" but he didn't necessarily have to. Especially when they decided to make him stick around anyway by having him become a ghost in a similar fashion as G1 Starscream. For some reason that I didn't get and couldn't get behind.
I do understand that they likely changed Dinobot's character to better fit the plot that they were writing, but it comes at the cost of making Kingdom Dinobot feel like a cardboard cutout of the character I've come to know. And for a show that was meant to advertise a toyline aimed at Beast Wars fans, that seems like a bad move. Oh, and the voice direction for Dinobot sure didn't help matters.

*Twists in the air as she uses her scope and lets loose a mini-missle from her gauntlet, her hoverpack stablizing the shot.*
SPOILERS INCOMING!
Episode Six, “From The Desert Comes A Stranger” - Opens with our friendly spice synidcate, the Pykes, trying to do a deal of spice out in the Mos Pelgo territory. Cobb our local marshall pops up and we get a good old fashioned blaster fight. Nice solid open.
Above a hilly jungle planet Din and his N-1 zip out and we get a R2 cameo. YES! Not a bad cute start to see ultimate cuteness, Grogu, and it’s nice to see R2 out of animated cameos. He’s oppped up quite a bit. A cavalcade of six legged constructor droids making a dry stone temple or house of sorts meets Din. The droids are what appear to be particle and CGI to an extent, which is a an interesting mix.
Tumblr media
Upset and annoyed Din is always fucking great, especially since he sounds nothing like a certain Red Viper. A quiet scene of meditate between Luke and Grogu is just more massive fan service.Plus, Grogu using his force powers to try to eat a frog is...just great. The CGI on Luke looks better than the last episode of Mando, so good that they seemingly cleaned up the way to do it.
Happy Grogu with his little ears are...the fucking best things outside of my own niece. Oh gods, he’s force hopping in a walk with Luke (who does the hopping) so fucking adorabs!
We get images suddenly of the Jedi Purge, of Grogu hiding as the Jedi knights try to guard him. Watching them fall as the Clone Troopers come in, it’s horribly traumatic. The b=poor baby lived through so much pain and you can see the fear in his eyes as he remembers. Te animation and emotion of Grogu is evident in how much work they put into him.
Seeing Ahsoka as well makes me smile so much. She’s my favorite Star Wars character and I ship her hard with Barris Offee. Again, we see the more disconnective part of Jedi training. I usually found these decisions to be useful in some ways, but in a lot of ways its what led to the Late Republic Jedi’s downfall. Perhaps, this is one reason Luke lost so much later on. He did seem to really cut himself off from his family even during training.I’ll probably piss off some other diehards, but yeah, no the whol cut off family to me only works for some Jedi.
Seeing the Luke actor zipping around with Grogu was a great bit of RotJ nostalgia. Suddenly, we find ourselves in a training montage. With...a training remote as part of it. Wow, they are putting so much work into that little physical muppet.
Tumblr media
We return to Mos Espa and get a quick overview of the invading Pyke positions. Krrsantant is as intimidating as ever (he looks like a big upset murder puppy dog) and Mando heads out to get some soldiers. Ah, a good old saloon bar convincing.I wonder if this is when Cad Bane will pop up.
YUP that Duros motherfucker came striding out of the flats, and likely he’s the death of good old Vanth if people don’t do something. He shoots Cobb, and Bane mercilessly guns him down and Sanctuary is bombed. The violence is ratcheting up as the Pykes begin to eliminate any and all help Boba can draw on.
And Grogu is given the chance to either walka away from the Mandalorian or return to him.
Hottakes:
Damn Luke, why you have to disrespect Beskar like that!
Mando referring to Grogu as a Mandlorian Foundling makes me happy to see the Mando’ade still practice cultural adoption.
Seems some of our favorite Twi’lek are dead now.
Is Cobb dead, I mean Bane doesn’t really miss so I’m a little worried.
Damn, the Pykes are setting the stage for a serioiusly epic standoff.
The bombing of Sanctuary was kind of an obvious move, and it shows that no one is safe, pretty blunt mafiaoso move.
Let’s Talk Gay Canon
Ahsoka as always has big gay energy in this story, and while I wish her montrals were taller, I can understand why they shortened them for the makeup. As I said, my favorite ship for her and in Star Wars is Barrisohka. It reminds me of a few ideas I have for a polycule fic involving a Twi’lek, a Chiss, and a fucking Zygerian. Definitely gonna pin that down for later.

FULL REVIEWS: “I Was A Teenage Abomination”
So if you read my previous review you know that I didn’t like the last episode. That scene of Eda and King mocking Luz almost made me drop the whole show, but the lesson at the end convinced me to to give the show another chance especially since the season just started. Good thing I did because wow did the show deliver.
I’m not the biggest fan of the magic school trope, but I can see why people use it. The most common settings for fiction are schools, homes and work places because they all force people to come together and interact. And while I do think all magic schools look alike (almost all of them) because they’re just castles, I don’t know if Luz, Eda and King can carry an entire show by themselves. A school would force new and different characters in. Variety is the spice of life as they say. What Luz needs is more people her age to bounce off of and we got them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The episode starts hilariously with The Owl House fam at the beach collecting crap from a dead giant ass slug. It’s when Luz suggests that she might some actual witch apprenticeship in her...witch apprenticeship that Eda accidently lets it slip that magic schools are a thing that exists in The Boiling Isles. BTW, if everyone could do magic on The Boiling Isles, wouldn’t magic school just be called school or is there a separate school system where magic is just an elective you can opt out of? I’m thinking too hard.
Luz decides that being knees and elbows deep in garbage isn’t for her and walks off to find our first new friend, Willow.
Tumblr media
Willow is just a little sweetheart. Friend to all plants, kind of a pushover, but kinda really not. She lets Amity walk all over her but that could be just because of their past history together. But as soon as Amity is out of sight, Willow lets the anger flow through her like the Emperor’s dialogue in a Star Wars movie. Also looking back on this episode, it’s so weird to see Willow wearing the abomination purple uniform. I guess because she wears plant track green for the rest of the season that seeing her in her old uniform is unnatural or something.
Tumblr media
And here comes the spice of life, baby. When I first heard about Amity I didn’t think twice about it until I heard that she was going to be voiced by Mae Whitman. Freaking Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Yuffie from Kingdom Hearts 2, April O’Neil from TMNT 2012, Rose/Huntsgirl from American Dragon Jake Long, Tinker Bell in...Tinker Bell and Roxy from the live-action Scott Pilgrim movie. I had to see it. And wow. She’s so good at being such a bitch. It’s delightfully mean-spirited. But I think if you compare her performance here to later episodes (especially her first lines) you can sort of hear how Mae Whitman finds her groove to become Amity. Kinda like when you hear Marco Diaz in Star vs the Forces of Evil in the first episode and then in the last episode. But that’s nothing new.
My first impressions of the character were that she was going to be a Draco Malfoy clone, especially after how she put down Willow. Also this filled out enough Harry Potter tropes to make me think that they were going to go down a checklist or something. That’s just the way the world is now. Someone says magic school, first thing you think of is Harry Potter.
Tumblr media
Luz has seen enough hentai to know where this is going!
Tumblr media
But seriously back to the episode. Willow is surprised to see a human on The Boiling Isles and we see Luz pull her first scheme to help Willow: dress her up in as her abomination and sneak Luz into the school. Willow gets a good grade and Luz gets to see the school. Easy peasy, one two three-sy.
Another thought that I remember having when I first watched this episode was what the H is an abomination? I’ve known people to use the word when they don’t really like something but other than that I have no clue. It’s not the Marvel villain, and it’s not something that causes a feeling of disgust. It’s not even a biblical reference. I checked. It’s more like a golem, but whatever. It’s Dana’s fantasy world. So it’s not really a reference to anything.
Tumblr media
And then we have our other friend, Augustus. A supposed human expert who thinks Luz should’ve had gills. Luckily Luz knew an Augustus in the human world that everyone just called Gus, so new nickname. He’s...smaller than the others but we find out in a different episode that he’s actually younger than everyone else and skipped a grade. He’s smart but still a kid.
Tumblr media
“Boy, let me tell you what!”
Luz helps Willow get a good grade and this pisses off Amity something fierce because she’s (in this episode) the kind of person who needs someone who she knows she’s better than to feel good about herself. But we find out in a later episode it’s because she’s a stickler for the rules and abhors cheaters. (That’s a good word, abhor.)
Amity’s freakout at the cafeteria gives her an opportunity to call Principal Bump into the situation, but I’m still stuck on Luz being excited over a PB&J. LIke seriously? What has Eda been feeding her? Or not feeding her? She knows her has to feed Luz right? Humans gotta eat too. I have concerns.
Tumblr media
Yeah no, your ass would be fired.
Bump tries to bump (lol I’m funny) Luz and it’s out that she’s not an abomination; she’s an intruder. The climax happens which is fine, but Luz punching out abominations reminds me of my argument on why zombies aren’t scary. I mean, if they are decaying flesh how would they have super strength or any strength? It makes no sense. If abominations are just walking piles of goo how would they have super strength? Magic? Is that gonna be your answer to everything?
Tumblr media
“Curse you Boiling Isles public school system!!!”
I forgot to mention the B-plot with King and Eda and I really like it. I love the comedy in this show and the B-plot has all of my favorite jokes in this episode. I just get upset talking about it because I know some asshole is going to call it filler. I remember a time where “filler” was used to refer to anime only episodes or story arcs that were produced to let the manga catch up with some more chapters. Now everyone uses it to refer to stories they don’t like. Not stories that don’t further the main plot, but stories they don’t like.
Animation is difficult and takes a lot of time and money. If they do something, they do it for a reason. If it doesn’t further the plot then it develops the characters. It’s okay for a comedy to just have an episode that tells jokes. That’s the point of a comedy, to be funny. It’s okay if an action show just wants to do a fight scene or a set piece. That’s what action does. But I know some dipshit is gonna reblog or reply and argue with me about what filler means or what it really means and yada yada yada. Free tip, do that and I’ll block you because this is my blog and I can do that. Also, fuck you.
Tumblr media
“I have no son!” My favorite line of the episode.
The episode ends a little too neatly with Willow telling Luz that everything was resolved offscreen. Willow is now in the plant magic track. Amity is begging Bump for a good grade, and Luz is banned from Hexside. For now...
Tumblr media
FINAL SCORE: 5 - Loved it!
This episode was a bunch of fun. It was super funny, introduced some great characters and saved my interest in the show. I knew I made the right choice to give this show another chance and it paid off. I wondered why they would introduce the school only to have Luz be banned but I just figured we would have more sneaking in scenarios. Egg on my face, huh?
Still this episode was a great time and I couldn’t wait for the next one.

i think ive always prefered cody and pretty much every other clone commander and or captain over rex is because rex is too purposefully written as the ‘cool’ clone captain for me to actually think hes cool, and that said coolness is more so there to cover up that his actual character is kinda inconsistently written. And not like in the fun way but in the aggravating way.
take cody for instance, despite codies somewhat minimal presence who is cody? cody is the guy who gets shit done, hes dry witted in his banter and he generally maintains an air of professionalism overtop that dry wit. Fans tend to place him as a mother hen but id argue thats not entirely true because cody is okay with taking pretty big risks when the situation calls for it. If anything id argue that cody as he is presented is generally the type who cleans up instead of showing off, less packing the lunches and more so cleaning the dirty laundry if that makes sense. Or rather, hes someone who feels and or is acutely aware that the grunt legwork is more important to the larger war effort then the grand heroics, take the risk if you have to but try to take the more practical option when ya can. And i think that says a lot about codies general mindset towards things.
now take rex. Who is rex? rex as first presented is someone who enjoys taking center stage and showing off in front of others. Certainly he has dashes of war veteran and seasoned captain thrown in for a good mix, but as hes shown to us captain rex is a man who well not suicidal very much craves glory and heroics in a similar manner as anakin. He also deifies the idea of brotherhood in the clone ranks to an extreme. All the clones do it to a various extent, but rex especially is a character presented as extoling its virtues. In the episode with slicks squad for instance hes the one who makes it a point to dress slick down for betraying his brothers trust well cody more so focuses on slick betraying his duties as a soldier. And we see it again when rex meets a clone deserter farmer, in that case rex is upset at the violation of what he sees as the trust of the clone brotherhood as it were and its only when rex is becomes more acquainted with the mans found family that he firmly pushes down thoughts of reporting the deserter or enacting any form of punishment. Such examples also emphasize that rex is a very morally guided individual for both its good, in that he has a strong code of ethics and responsibility, and its bad, in that he has a tendency to think in extremes and absolutes.
And to clarify, i think this is a very interesting point to start rex off in as a character. Especially in light of rex’s efforts to present a degree of a han solo gunslinger image. when in practice rex is fairly far off from han solos own starting point as a character, han having started as a fairly amoral character more so concerned with his own safety and security then a broader sense of duty and responsibility, and generally viewing things with a fairly cynical eye and wanting to keep a relatively low profile despite his own troubles with the hutt.
So then what is the problem you might ask. The problem, as much as i can put my finger on it, is that i feel rex’s character arc never really addresses or incorporates these elements of his character in its progression. instead dropping these elements as it becomes convenient to do so well presenting the illusion of character growth and change. Its been a while since ive really dug into the show mind you, but even taking umbra into consideration i dont remember rex every really having that moment of reckoning in regards to his moral pillars that would in turn lead to him becoming more cynical. Instead he remains as staunchly morally guided as before with a belief in brotherhood, well also becoming more cynical and personally motivated at the same time. A have your cake and eat it as it were.
Which might have been interesting itself if that was the intention, the dissonance generated from such contradictory aspects resulting in a slipping rex. Especially within the context of a war narrative like the clone wars presents. But i honestly dont think that is the case since there really isnt a narrative constructed around it for rex within the wider series. Instead it more so feels like a mechanical device to keep rex likable without having him rock the boat too much so to speak. And thats possibly why hes never really clicked for me as a character.
That and ya know, rex being a fan focal point for pushing the fandom obsession with mandalorians onto the clones full force, and on a more petty level cause he keeps stealing cody’s screen time. commander cody deserved more screen time :[

@nilhenwen made some nice commentary in a reblog on my Luminara post, but that post is already such a monster that I’m making new post instead xD.
I’m a big Luminara fan and I’m hoping to mine all of this wonderful analysis in my next fic.
I think she’s a badass who just knows how to get things done and CRUCIALLY, when Filoni is showing her dealing with the possible loss of Barriss it’s meant to be showing a contrast for Anakin’s entirely emotional and attached response. Luminara feels it just as much as he does, she just doesn’t succumb to it. His succumbing here means the Padawans get saved. Which could be Filoni’s way of also showing that Luminara’s attempts at avoiding attachment are also flawed and often dangerous.
Balance innit?
(💚 Fellow Luminara fans unite!! \^o^/ 💚)
I definitely think Anakin and Luminara’s reactions are meant to be contrasted and compared in this episode, and neither is perfect in their way of dealing with this.
But going off Lucas quotes I don’t get the impression that attachment is something one should strive for balance in, but rather something to avoid. Like attachment is pretty consistently connected to bad things, when Lucas is talking about it.
The Making of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, page 213: “No human can let go,” Lucas would say of [the Yoda-Anakin scene]. “It’s very hard. Ultimately, we do let go because it’s inevitable; you do die and you do lose your loved ones. But while you’re alive, you can’t be obsessed with holding on. As Yoda says in this one, ‘You must learn to let go of everything you’re afraid to let go of.’ Because holding on is in the same category and the precursor to greed. And that’s what a Sith is. A Sith is somebody that is absolutely obsessed with gaining more and more power - but for what? Nothing, except that it becomes an obsession to get more.”
“The Jedi are trained to let go. They’re trained from birth,” he continues, “They’re not supposed to form attachments. They can love people- in fact, they should love everybody. They should love their enemies; they should love the Sith. But they can’t form attachments. So what all these movies are about is: greed. Greed is a source of pain and suffering for everybody. And the ultimate state of greed is the desire to cheat death.”
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones commentary track, George Lucas: “The fact that everything must change and that things come and go through his life and that he can’t hold onto things, which is a basic Jedi philosophy that he isn’t willing to accept emotionally and the reason that is because he was raised by his mother rather than the Jedi. If he’d have been taken in his first year and started to study to be a Jedi, he wouldn’t have this particular connection as strong as it is and he’d have been trained to love people but not to become attached to them.
“But he has become attached to his mother and he will become attached to Padme and these things are, for a Jedi, who needs to have a clear mind and not be influenced by threats to their attachments, a dangerous situation. And it feeds into fear of losing things, which feeds into greed, wanting to keep things, wanting to keep his possessions and things that he should be letting go of. His fear of losing her turns to anger at losing her, which ultimately turns to revenge in wiping out the village. The scene with the Tusken Raiders is the first scene that ultimately takes him on the road to the dark side. I mean he’s been prepping for this, but that’s the one where he’s sort of doing something that is completely inappropriate.“
So I don’t really vibe with the view of balance in attachment. Or rather, balance is on the non-attached end of the spectrum. I don’t think there’s such a thing as a healthy or good attachment. Attachment is when it becomes bad. “The shadow of greed” as Yoda says. (Others are of course allowed their own interpretations though.)
I know Filoni talks about attachment in a comment of his I’ve seen concerning this episode, but I also to some extent kinda disagree with his take-away there. For example, in that commentary Filoni talked about Anakin’s “way of stronger compassion”, and that’s not really something I see here. He has little compassion for Luminara after their first post-factory explosion interaction and is instead angry and lashing out at her. His tone when talking about how Ahsoka will survive is dark, almost threatening. I don’t see compassion there either, it’s about attachment, his inability to let go. Overall I don’t feel like Filoni’s comments fully matches what I see in the episode, (and as they were made years later, in a greater interview, that might not be super strange?).
I think me and Filoni just might not fully agree in our view on Luminara, and that’s okay. The material is out there and open to different interpretations. Lucas is the only Word of God I bow to completely xD (and people don’t have to accept Lucas either).
Anakin’s refusal to let go gives him a focus here that yields results, but there are warning bells that things could have gone pretty wrong if they were unable to save the padawans. Even during the rescue he starts low-key lashing out at Luminara, and he keeps ascribing himself an agency he just doesn’t actually have when it comes to Ahsoka’s life and death: “I refuse to let Ahsoka die”.
Now, Luminara’s way of dealing with the pain of possible loss isn’t perfect either. She seems to be without much hope for the possibility of saving them initially.
Tumblr media
But Luminara also only despairs as to whether save the padawans is possible in the first few moments after the weapon’s factory collapses. After Anakin insist that they still have a shot, she gets up and does this little face:
Tumblr media
That short, soft smile of appreciation is first of all proof no. 476 in this episode that Luminara Unduli really likes Anakin Skywalker. But after this moment Luminara appears just as active in the search for the padawans as Anakin. She seems to have drawn strength from his refusal to give up. (Anakin however keeps on accusing her of having given up, an accusation she’s even angered by the second time around, and he’s all round going darker and darker as the rescue work continues.)
Luminara could use some of Anakin’s fighting spirit (a quality in both him and Ahsoka that she seems to appreciate). I don’t think what Luminara needs is to grow attached though. It might be one way of going about having that fighting spirit, but I think there are other ways as well, ones with far less risk of collateral damage or making deals with the devil himself to stop death (goddammit Anakin!!!).
Now, I usually don’t use a lot of Legends in my examples (I’m a nu!EU adherent xD), but Yoda: Dark Rendezvous has a passage that I really like and that popped into my head writing this.
“Teach me about pain, think you can?” Yoda said softly. “Think the old Master cannot care, mmm? Forgotten who I am, have you? Old am I, yes. Mm. Loved more than you, have I, Padawan. Lost more. Hated more. Killed more.” The green eyes narrowed to gleaming slits under heavy lids. Dragon eyes, old and terrible. “Think wisdom comes at no cost? The dark side, yes - it is easier for them. The pain grows too great, and they eat the darkness to flee from it. Not Yoda. Yoda loves and suffers for it, loves and suffers.”
(...)
life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.
Love and suffer. Face the risk of loss, hope in spite of it that you can save those people in danger and fully accept the loss and let go if it comes to it. Then keep hoping the next time.

The Mandalorian Season 2 Review
Tumblr media
BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 1 AND 2
Hi everyone, it has been a while since The Mandalorian finished up its second season, and to be honest, I kind of miss waking up at 9 AM on Friday to watch this show. Now, I loved season 1 and have watched it multiple times already. I was so excited for season 2 and to see more of Mando/Din and The Child and where their story would go. I never would have thought season 2 would go the way that it did. It was incredible and even better than I thought it would be. This Is The Way. Keep on reading to find out my opinions for every episode this season!
And again, beware... SPOILERS AHEAD
Chapter 9: The Marshal (dir. Jon Favreau)
I enjoyed the first episode back in the world of The Mandalorian. The first thing I noticed about this episode was the run time. Its a 54 minute episode, the longest we have gotten so far. I liked that it was so long, since we had been waiting on the second season for about a year and the episode overall was enjoyable. Being back on Tatooine was great since it is one of my favorite planets in the Star Wars universe. I liked seeing more of the Tusken Raiders and loved that battle scene with the krayt dragon. One thing I loved from that was the change in aspect ratio! When the krayt dragon opened its mouth, the ratio changed to IMAX/full screen. That was amazing and such a good choice for it. It just made it more cinematic. And of course, who can forget that Boba Fett tease at the very end of the episode! Fun fact, I never really liked/enjoyed Boba Fett. In the Original Trilogy, he does not do much, he is just kind of there and then ‘dies’. So I never really got the hype. But, oh, I am going to talk about Boba Fett later. In conclusion, chapter 9 was a nice episode.
Favorite moments: Mando taking out the krayt dragon like a BOSS, Mando talking with the Tusken Raiders in their language, The Child in his little pouch on Mando’s speeder bike with his ears flapping in the wind.
Overall: 7.5/10

Chapter 10: The Passenger (dir. Peyton Reed)
This episode was more of a side quest but hey, if it is nice, I do not mind. This is a fun episode but those spiders at the end... They just reminded me of those spiders in Rebels season 2/3 and I HATED those things. However, the action scene was very thrilling. I loved the beginning of the episode, where some guys try to take The Child from Din and he tricks them. The Child running into his arms again and Din messing with the guy that took his jetpack was great. The episode mostly takes place on this ice/snow planet, which I always enjoy in anything Star Wars! This episode also introduced us to Frog Lady, who was a nice addition to the gang.
Favorite moments: Din fixing the Razor Crest and then telling The Child he should help him and the final action scene.
Overall: 7.5/10

Chapter 11: The Heiress (dir. Bryce Dallas Howard)
This episode felt like a Clone Wars or Rebels episode and I LOVED IT!!! This was so good. I was quite surprised to see Bo-Katan show up here, she was great and I enjoyed seeing her in live-action. The action scenes, on the boat and on that imperial ship, were especially incredible and really well done, so props to Bryce! There was also an important storyline here regarding Mando and his Creed vs. other Mandalorians. Since we know Bo-Katan and other Mandalorians keep removing their helmet and Din never does, I wondered why. This finally gets adressed here and I loved seeing it unfold and how this storyline kept unfolding as the season went on. And of course, at the end of the episode, we got THE ASHOKA TANO NAME DROP! Confirming that we would be seeing her this season. I am a huge Ahsoka fan and she has become one of my favorite Star Wars characters, so I was excited to say the least.
Favorite moments: Mando crash landing the Razor Crest in the water, Frog Lady reuniting with her husband, Bo-Katan, and Mando telling The Child to stop playing with his food
Overall: 8.5/10

Chapter 12: The Siege (dir. Carl Weathers)
But before we see Ahsoka, a little detour. However, a short, sweet, and fun detour, directed by none other than Greef Karga himself! Yes, this episode saw the return of season one’s Greef Karga, Cara Dune, and the Mythrol (the blue guy from season 1). Nonetheless, the star of the episode was The Child with his blue cookies haha. The beginning of the episode was so funny with Din trying to tell The Child were to put the wires in and then them eating together. Din even showed a little bit of his face, with The Child trying to take a peek, so adorable. Additionally, I really liked being back on Nevarro and seeing how Greef Karga and Cara cleaned up the town. Once again, the action here was fantastic and Carl Weathers did a great job. The final action scene was amazing and showed how great of a pilot Din is. In this episode, I also really felt the bond between Din and The Child and how much it has grown over time! OMG, almost forgot... We learn more about Moff Gideon wanted with The Child, he used his blood and the midi-chlorians to create what looked like clones?! Crazy, AND they put a tracker on the Razor Crest, which got me very anxious about the next episode.
Favorite moments: The Child and the wires (aka me in Among Us), The Child in school and stealing blue space macarons, and the trio from season 1 back together and kicking ass
Overall: 8.5/10

Chapter 13: The Jedi (dir. Dave Filoni)
This was magical. Purely magical. Dave Filoni... Oh my goodness, what a legend. He understands Star Wars in a way no else but George Lucas does. From the action, to the samurai and western infleunces, to the emotion, everything was perfect. So, in this episode Din finally finds Ahsoka Tano, one of the few Jedi that are left. The episode wastes no time to introduce Ahsoka. Her entrance in the forest was amazing, the way she uses the force and her lightsabers, just ugh, amazing. Now, I really like Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka but it took some getting used to since Ahsoka originally is an animated character. However, she looked great here. I loved the scene where Ahsoka was communicating with The Child through the force and we learn his backstory!! His name is Grogu and was trained at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant by many masters and was hidden during Order 66. The way we learned all of this was so natural and I really did not see it coming. It was great. I really like the name Grogu, it fits him haha. The little training session with Grogu was fantastic and showed how much Din cares about Grogu. Ahsoka tells Din she cannot train Grogu because of his attachements and how that can lead him to the dark side. She even references Anakin!!!!!! Omg, the feels. Mando and Ahsoka team up to fight the Magistrate of the town and this fight was fantastic. Manda and Ahsoka are both so cool and have some great moments. Then, when we thought this episode could not get any better, Ahsoka teases what is to come as she name drops GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN!! Now, if you have not watched Rebels, this might mean nothing to you. But I gasped so loud when she said it, good stuff is coming for the Ahsoka show!!!! When Mando had to say goodbye to Grogu, I thought no... They are not going to do it, are they?! But Ahsoka sticks to her gut and says she cannot train Grogu. Instead, she sends them to the remants of an ancient Jedi temple where Grogu can choose his path. And so Mando, Grogu, and Ahsoka part ways. I just loved this episode. Also a special shout-out to Ludwig Göransson’s score. He has been fantastic for season 1 and 2, but the score at the very end of this episode, just captured the magic and beauty of this one. He is so talented!
Favorite moments: all of Ahsoka’s action scenes, Ahsoka vs. Mando, Din learning Grogu’s name and he keeps saying it, the Trawn name drop, Ahsoka referencing Anakin, and Din and Ahsoka traing Grogu
Overall: 9.5/10

Chapter 14: The Tragedy (dir. Robert Rodriguez)
This was a short but action packed episode, oh my goodness. It just kept going at some point, which was very thrilling to watch. This episode saw the return of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, which was surprising. Now, like I said, I have never been a fan of Boba Fett. However, we was a badass in this episode with some very cool moments! I also loved that in the bts of season 2 Temuera Morrison talked about how he brought in some of his Maori traditions into Boba’s fighting style, which was very awesome to see. Okay, back to the rest of the episode. So, it starts out with Mando messing with Grogu and his name a little bit on the Razor Crest. He actually laughed, which is something we had not seen yet. He then trained with him for a bit and told him how proud he was of him and how he is special... Sooo soft! So then, they get to the seeing stone and of course Mando is an actual rookie and has no clue what any of this Jedi stuff (as he calls it) means, which is understandable of course. But I just thought it was very funny to watch. Boba and Fennec show up, a lot of Stromtroopers show up, and they have to fight their way out of that nasty situation. It was really cool!! All of them had awesome moments.  Then, when everything has calmed down a bit, Moff Gideon’s dark troopers show up and take Grogu from Mando. I just- I can’t... Another thing that happens is the Razor Crest getting blown up! Holy shit, I was shocked. So Mando is left with no ship, no Grogu, and has to get him back. So, Boba and Fennec promise to help him. Very action packed, and tragic episode.
Favorite moments: Din knowing nothing about the Jedi, the whole bit in the Razor Crest with Din and Grogu being cute, Fennec being a badass, Boba being a badass, Grogu beating those Stormtroopers in his cell, and Moff Gideon being as vilanous as ever (gotta love Giancarlo Esposito)
Overall: 8.7/10

Chapter 15: The Believer (dir. Rick Famuyiwa)
I LOVED this episode. Rick Famuyiwa did it again!! Okay, so Mando, Boba, Fennec, Cara, and Mayfeld (from season 1) go to this Empirial base to get the coordinates of Moff Gideon’s cruiser so they can get Grogu back to his dad (yes, I said it, because it’s true!). So they want Mayfeld to come because he knows stuff about the Empire and I did not really like him in season 1. However, I thought he was really nice here. He even had some funny lines. I loved the action scene on the transport with Mando fighting those pirates they encountered. It was really weird though, not seeing him in his Beskar armor. So they inflitrate the base and Mayfeld’s old superior is sitting where they have to get the coordinates, so he cannot go in, Mando wants to go but here is the twist... It is a facial scan (insert suspenseful sound). So, he goes in, tries it with his helmet on, and that obviously does not work. So he removes his helmet. This was so powerful, he was willing to let other people see his face to save Grogu. It just shows how much he cares, and I loved to see it. The whole scene without his helmet was so suspenseful. I was stressed while watching it. Pedro Pascal is such a good actor, he was selling it! Mayfeld was so cool about it though. He had been messing with Mando having his helmet on the entire time and when he eventually took it off, he was really respectful about it. Another thing I thought was fantasic this episode was Mando treathening Moff Gideon with a little message. He basically used the same message Gideon told him last season when he was looking for Grogu, but now Mando used it on him. He even said that Grogu means more to him and Gideon will ever know. Oh my gosh!!! In conclusion, after this episode, I could not wait for the finale.
Favorite moments: Din removing his helmet, Din realizing his blaster was jammed so he just yeeted it to the pirate instead, Mayfeld and Din talking to the Empirial guy in the cantine, Mayfeld calling Din ‘Brown Eyes’, and Din’s message to Gideon.
Overall: 9/10

Chapter 16: The Rescue (dir. Peyton Reed)
Where to begin?! Oh my goodness, SO MUCH happened during this episode. Mando adds Bo-Katan and Koska Reeves to his crew to get Grogu back. They agree, since this is Bo-Katan’s chance to take back the darksaber from him. So Boba Fett distracts Gideon’s people for the rest of the crew to sneak on board. So we had Cara, Fennec, Bo-Katan, and Koska just kicking these stromtrooper’s asses and it was stunning to see. Mando goes to look for Grogu but encounters the dark troopers and they were ruthless. I honestly thought he was going to get hurt or something. Thank goodness he had that Beskar speer, so he yeeted them out of the ship and made his way to Grogu. Only to find Gideon standing there with the darksaber. He is like just take him, I got his blood. Of course, it is a trap and he attacks Mando. We get an epic fight between Gideon with the darksaber and Mando with his speer. It was so cool and Mando wins! He then walks back to the crew with Gideon in handcuffs, wielding the darksaber, and Grogu in his hand. Bo-Katan sees it and looks shocked since she now cant get it from him since it needs to won in battle as Gideon reminds everyone (he was obviously enjoying this), which I completely forgot. Then just says I yield, take it. She cannot just accept, which makes Din the rightful ruler of Mandalore (CRAZY!!!). This was left with no answers, so I am hoping that this will be explored during season 3!!. The dark troopers get back to the ship and they need a miracle now. Out of nowhere, one single X-Wing shows up. I knew it was a Jedi, but who? Of course, Luke crossed my mind, but I was like, NO WAY. So I thought, it could be Ezra from Rebels (he also has a green lightsaber). However, there was no way someone that powerful was Ezra, it had to be Luke. I will never forget it, my heart was beating so fast, I was crying, and the suspense was just, oh my. The hallway scene was fantastic. Then the jedi reveals his face, and it is Mark Hamill back as Luke Skywalker in all his glory. The CGI was impressive, although when he started talking, it looked a little off. Anyway, now Din has to say goodbye to Grogu and he lets him see his face. This was such a beautiful moment, it made me cry even more. This show is incredible, however this just proves that when you strip away all the cool stuff and guest appearances, this show is about Din and Grogu’s relationship, which in the end, is my favorite thing about the show. It was so emotional. Grogu then leaves with Luke and R2 (!!!), and that concludes season 2! This finale was just incredible, and what made it even more emotional was Pedro’s perfromance. He is fantastic! Again, the score this season was so good but in the finale, Ludwig outdit himself! So beautiful and emotional.

Favorite moments: the whole thing, not even going to try to pick just a few
Overall: 10/10
So that is season 2 of The Mandalorian!! I have to say, after the shit year 2020 was, Mando Fridays made it a little better. I cannot wait to see it continue. I think it will be after The Book of Boba Fett with Boba and Fennec (looking forward to that!). This ended up way longer than I intended, oh well. I hope you enjoyed reliving Mando season 2 with me! Now I kind of want to watch it again...
This Is The Way.

And I’m 💯 sure that you’re blocked and you can eat it.
But I would like to talk about this idea a little, actually. So, here are a couple of points:
The thing that a lot of modern-day “Bleach fans” don’t get is that as far as Japan is concerned, the only thing that really sells Bleach to the mass-market general audience is Ichigo and Rukia interacting. The hard truth those “Bleach fans” refuse to accept is that most of fights sucked, most of the mysteries sucked, and other than the two of them (and maybe Toushirou and Byakuya) most of the characters aren’t interesting to the average person. If you liked Bleach for any of those three reasons (or any other minor reasons), then you are in the absolute minority of nerds.
The cold, iron truth of economics is that you sell media properties in one of two ways: either by drilling down to a highly dedicated fanbase (e.g., moe-blob anime with extremely jacked-up Blu-ray prices) or by appealing to as wide and shallow an audience as possible (e.g., the Marvel Cinematic Universe). The interesting thing with Bleach is that those two audiences, by the numbers, are actually interested in the same thing: Ichigo and Rukia, and more particularly, IchiRuki.
Bold claim, I know. But you don’t have to look hard to see it. This is why the musicals were focused on them. This is why the LA movie was focused on them. And this is why both of those deemphasized other ancillary characters, especially Ichigo’s human friends like Chad—or Orihime: because they are essentially irrelevant to that largely singular fixture of the series and are forgettable other than to some hardcore nerd. (The only other thing that comes remotely close to being as iconic are the Soul Society fights, especially Ichigo vs. Byakuya.)
This is also why every time the property has been reinvented for a new market (again, e.g., the musical and the LA movie) the focus has always been on early Bleach: because it most showcases their interactions and establishes their foundational emotional connection. This is in large part why arcs that more and more deemphasized their interactions suffered increasingly worse sales, to the point that Bleach was consistently ranked 20th out of 20 in Weekly Shounen Jump’s ratings on a week-to-week basis. Less Ichigo and Rukia, and especially less Ichigo and Rukia together, means less sales. This is why TYBW and WDKALY sold abysmally, and I’m willing to bet that CFYOW’s numbers aren’t too great either considering it features neither of them at all.
This is furthermore why Studio Pierrot gave them so many moments, like the ice-skating and fireworks date that they used to send off the anime: because IchiRuki sells. And not much else does.
So, having established that, let’s talk about your idea.
Ichika and Kazui don’t make sense, because their existence in TYBW isn’t established. They simply appear, like the rest of the ending, with no buildup or explanation. In other words, there is no reason to invest in them as characters; they are simply designs walking and talking on a page. (And surprise, the only people who cared “about” them at all were people like you who were pleased as punch that it was evidence that Ichigo and Orihime, and Rukia and Renji, fucked. And even you lot don’t care about them, because there is nothing about them to possibly care about. You care about them as symbols and nothing more.)
However, what would make even less sense is to introduce them without having TYBW at all. For the anime to jump from Ichigo and Rukia having an ice rink not-date to having Ichika and Kazui running around in their places would be a bit like jumping from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, to Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens in 1983, instead of having Return of the Jedi. It really isn’t possible to overstate how much that big of a leap would lose an audience, whose reactions would be, “What the fuck is this? What happened?”
As I have previously calculated, animating TYBW would take about 4–5 seasons and about 3–4 years of production. So, unless you wanted to pull one of the strangest continuations ever in media history, you’d be waiting for that to wrap first, and presuming its financial success (which is dubious, for the above outlined reasons, and its relative historical print failure which got the manga cancelled).
Setting all that aside, Ichika and Kazui are not photocopies of Rukia and Ichigo; they are genderflipped photocopies of Renji and Orihime. There is a reason why, despite the best efforts of IH here on Tumblr Dot Com, the IR community has never warmed up to them: why would you take a cheap clone knockoff that can’t even trace the original properly when you could just have the original? This will likewise hold true for a general audience. If a random-ass person in Japan knows anything at all about Bleach, it’ll be Ichigo and Rukia. Going, “This isn’t them, but here’s the same great taste but less filling!” is going to get you a response of, “No thanks.”
Setting that aside, what exactly would be the premise? The Espada were retconned in from the aether and people were fine with them, since they were basically just the inverse and mirror of the Shinigami. But people didn’t much care when Xcution were retconned in from the aether. And they didn’t like it when Yhwach and the Sternritter were retconned in from the aether. And they really don’t care now that Tokinada, Hikone, and Aura were retconned in from the aether. Are you really going to have a fifth group of baddies we never even vaguely heard of before showing up? Or are you going to just recycle a set? “Oh, no, Aizen has escaped Muken and has made the Super Fullbringer Espada…” Please. The concept is tapped out: it either has to keep inventing new bullshit and pretending it was always around, or it has to recycle the same ideas but in a less exciting way. Or it has to be rebooted.
It is clear that something or other is happening with regard to Bleach for this “anniversary” event, but the evidence, in my eyes, doesn’t match what you would see for TYBW being animated, let alone for some kind of Boruto-style series.
The event has been marketed in a rather low-key fashion, which is weird considering the 2020 Olympics are a once-in-a-generation event which provide the perfect hype vehicle (and which Shueisha has been using to push other WSJ properties). If you were working on a large or risky project, you’d want a lot of hype—either to prepare the audience, or to maximize your initial buy-in and returns if it’s going to flop (e.g., Anthem). Being cautious indicates both the scale and risk are small.
The emphasis on the voice actors who are appearing at the event are all for classic and popular characters: Ichigo, Byakuya, and now Rukia. You know what fans don’t like? Having a bait-and-switch pulled on them where their classic faves are affiliated with something, only for them to be radically deemphasized in the actual final product. (Just look at the three recent Star Wars movies for some proof of that one.) It is far more likely to be something focused around them.
MegaHouse is making new Bleach figurines this year. But the designs they’ve chosen so far are… Fake Karakura battle Armored Yoruichi (who I’m excited for), and Hueco Mundo style unreleased Grimmjow. If you were going to make merchandise for TYBW or a next-generation show, it’d make a lot more sense for that merch to be… actually related to those events, rather than “classic” designs, now wouldn’t it? To go to the Star Wars well again, they weren’t trying to sell Qui-Gon Jinn or Lando Calrissian toys with The Last Jedi.
To me, all the evidence indicates that whatever it is will be some sort of “Greatest Hits” OVA or something like that, with a focus on the Aizen era of the series. Maybe a lot of the “best” battles redone in really high quality. Maybe a video game. Maybe a reboot of the series from the start. Hard to say. But it doesn’t look an awful lot like TYBW, let alone a next-generation effort.
Now, I’m not saying that either of those things are impossible. I’ve been wrong before in this life (for example, I didn’t think Putin would invade Crimea), and I will be wrong again. I could be wrong about this too. I can only speak in probabilities.
But what I will say with confidence is that committing to TYBW would be fairly dumb as a business decision given everything that is evident about what makes Bleach sell.
And committing to a next-generation series at this stage before doing TYBW would be even dumber.
And doing a next-generation series without doing TYBW would be even dumber still.
Now, stupid people are in ascendancy worldwide in all kinds of endeavors, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that someone greenlit something so dumb. But if they did, I don’t think it’s going to do so hot.
So, good luck, I guess.

Saw The Last Episode this morning so I can finally have a dash again, apologies to the dozen or so blogs I unfollowed earlier so I could cope
anyway
star wars spoilers under the cut for my hot steaming rotting carcass of an oPiNiOn
Okay so it was... an okay movie. It moved too fast and tried to do too much and introduce too many brand new characters that could have been used better, but. The parts I liked, I LOVED. The parts I didn’t... well let’s just say that Star Wars will be Star Wars, and there’s nothing I can do about that other than cherry-pick what I like and leave the rest for the vultures.
The number one thing that bothers me is mostly just... It’s kind of been a calling card of Star Wars that
1. villains can never survive their arc, and
2. any villain with a redemption arc (whatever THAT is) has to die at the end of it regardless.
The exceptions being Big Bad Clones Of the Big Bad, which might survive their first arc but ultimately all die in the end, What A Twist. That’s just... how Star Wars does things. That and its penchant for insisting that physical deformity or disability somehow always implies an inclination towards evil, and that is just utter fucking bullshit and it needs to STOP. With that and the villain death thing - mostly the villain death - it’s been like that since the OT, since the EU, since the RPGs and the comics and the novels and the video games. There’s been like, maybe two or three exceptions to the rule, and most of those are in the video games and the RPGs and so are ultimately up to user choice, but mostly those choices are often not the “official” “canon” ones anyway.
and it really bothers me, and it always has. It’s the number one reason I write fanfic, to fix the bullshit like this that they keep putting in Star Wars. Just... honestly would it have KILLED THEM to forcibly haul Hux away kicking and screaming so he could Face Justice or some other rationalizing bullshit you KNOW Poe and/or Finn is totally capable of, only for Hux to be awkwardly hanging around the perimeter of all the Celebratory Festivities at the end? That would have been liquid GOLD.
And would it have KILLED THEM to have Force Healing, like, I dunno, NOT be some sort of zero sum bullshit? That’s not how it works! That’s not how any of this works! Both Rey AND REN should have survived! It’s drawing on the Force Itself, on the entire galaxy, not just your own personal life energy! *headdesk*
But I mean. I don’t want to focus only on the shit that bothered me. There’s lots I enjoyed.
1. FORCE SENSITIVE FINN. I will die on this hill
2. THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP oh my god I love the Finn/Poe/Rey dynamic they are PRECIOUS I honestly could watch a nine hour movie of nothing but banter and shenanigans and couch cuddles and I’d be so motherfucking HAPPY. Bonus points if Rose and Hux and Ren can just. Join in. I need a peoplepile STAT
3. TINY NEW DROID BABY oh no it’s cute
4. Finn’s hair is so fucking hot, y’all. I just. *fans self* is it warm in here?
5. Palps my man, r u ok. Like srsly. I just wanted to hold his gnarled up hands and make him take a nap, this man is Edgelord McDramaPants and I love/hate him so much. “I am all of the Sith” my dude my buddy my pal my friend, there are literally thousands of Sith standing around you, and no matter what you tell yourself you’re still like... average-powered compared to some of the Ancient Dark Edgelords of the Sith. I know you’re a megalomaniac but sit down eat a sandwich and chill, I’ll take you for a manicure
6. Speaking of thousands of Sith standing around -- FUCKING FINALLY SOME ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT BANITE SITH ARE/WERE UTTER BULLSHIT I mean there was the Lost Tribe of the Sith and plenty of others underground and on the downlow scattered around the galaxy in old canon, but it was nice to have it up front. Can u imagine the sort of response some of my own Sith would have to an invitation/summons to a place like Exegol by the likes of Palpatine it’d be hilarious
7. Rey’s little nose scrunch will never not be adorable
8. I really. really. enjoyed the atmosphere on Exegol. I am also an Edgelord DramaDarkerton and fuck if the vibes on that world didn’t give me shivers. I love it. I love everything about it. The foggy barren landscape, the giant stark monoliths, the depths of (not quite) abandoned temples and monuments, the jagged throne, the chanting hooded figures, even the flashing lightning that threatened to trigger a seizure BUT IT DIDN’T SO I WIN AHAHAHA *cough* so yeah I love all of that and I really wanted more more moremoremoremoreMORE GIMME *grabbyhands*
9. They didn’t do much but just the fact that the Knights of Ren were there made me happy. Kinda wished they’d been more like a Ride Or Die honor guard, so WELP I guess that’s what they are now in Sarc’s Canon and that’s the only canon that mAtTeRs lolololol
10. “I’M THE SPY!” I love you, you precious, fucked up little man, come here
Anyway. It was a much better movie than The Last Jedi, imo, but there’s still a LOT that needs cherrypicking. So I’m just blithely going to say this is What Actually Happened, In The Star Wars According To Sarc:
Hux gets dragged along with Poe/Finn/Rey, whining and complaining the entire time, on a bum leg, because you KNOW Poe shot him in the leg anyway even if he planned on taking Hux with him. Because why not, right? the dickwad asked for it, after all.
Snap goes EV because he ejected at the last possible second and ends up shaken and battered but otherwise alright DO NOT TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME TOO
The Knights of Ren recognized Ren as their rightful leader and were properly Ride Or Die with him, a man needs his honor guard after all
Ren’s Force Healing does the trick but since it’s drawing on the power of the Force itself, and not some zero-sum personal life energy shenanigans, it doesn’t make him mysteriously keel over and Die For No Reason. He just passes out and Rey has to haul his heavy ass back to the ship by herself. He doesn’t hear the end of it for months.
Reunions are both full of celebration, relief, and grief for those who have fallen, and also full of lots of awkwardness and uncomfortable glances at some of our Intrepid Villains suddenly being thrust in with all the Good Guysᵗᵐ and trying to cope. But they make it out okay in the end. Our new group of Awkward Friends hold a vigil for Luke, Leia, and Han before leaving Ajan Kloss.
And the Millennium Falcon launches out with a crew of seven. Rey, Poe, Finn, Rose, Ben, Hux, and Chewie - not quite yet entirely comfortable with each other but learning that sometimes the unlikeliest of friendships can blossom even from within the most bitter of enemies.
The end ah yes that was a good movie glad I can ignore this weird thing called canon lalalala (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
