I said this in a whole reblog, but just copy-pasting to a separate post because I think it'll give some reading comprehension and reblogs don't show up in the search feature.. again, I'm reiterating what I said in another post.
Go check out @demidokuriya 's post for this; OP's post made me put this all down in like. 20 minutes. Mind went vroom vroom cuz HEY THEY'RE ONTO SOMETHING.
(They also reblogged the post with some hint to some behind the scenes of what led to the ideas if you wanna check that out)
Look below at how, when Mineta told AFO to spare Tokoyami, AFO specifically went "..."
He remembers Jirou and thinks, The braying howls of the weak...
He was going to take Tokoyami's Quirk. He took Hawks'. But after Mineta pleaded with him, AFO just straight-up left and didn't take anyone else's Quirk.
AFO saw Yoichi in Mineta.
These scenes are near-identical to each other.
Mineta and Yoichi (at that time) are both much smaller than the normal person at their age
They're both hurt, yet dragged themselves up from the ground to throw something at AFO, to get his attention and make their voice
Both are considered weak, even if they have a Quirk (Mineta's Pop-Off and Yoichi's undeveloped Factor)
The fact that Yoichi got AFO's attention here by throwing a can at him, while Mineta got his attention by throwing a Pop-Off ball; and it stuck.
Mineta's call for his attention landed and actually stuck to AFO. This is unlike when Yoichi and his can bounced off, and AFO kicked him, not listening to him; AFO listened to Mineta and left Tokoyami alone, technically doing what Mineta wanted—to not hurt this person.
AFO just went on to hurt more people away from Mineta's [Yoichi's] eyes so the small weakling wouldn't see.
Yoichi and Mineta both cried to AFO to not hurt in his ways, when AFO was intent on stealing people's Quirks
AFO even stole Hawks' Quirk during this time.
He had time to steal Hawks' Quirk, and though he could've tossed him to the side, he let Hawks stand in his way.
He had the energy. Right after this event, he flew off and left the scene. But he didn't go for Tokoyami immediately.
And this let Mineta play his part, and remind AFO of Yoichi.
"A putrid, festering Quirk Factor."
That sounds like Yoichi, AFO.
".. such garbage."
Hey hey hey, what did Yoichi throw at him when they were kids?
A discarded can. Garbage.
This chapter (385) where AFO listens to Mineta is literally called [A Youthful Urge].
Mineta told AFO to take his Pop-Off (hurt him) instead. But last time, AFO hurt Yoichi by kicking him; this time, AFO not only listened to Mineta to not hurt Tokoyami, but didn't touch Mineta at all.
Even though this time, Mineta [Yoichi] offered to take that place of suffering.
Yoichi didn't do that back then. AFO just turned on little Yoichi anyway.
Yoichi through his whole existence is literally [the braying howls of the weak]. AFO acknowledges he's weak and idealistic, yet he still loves him.
Side note about this panel, I think it's interesting that in this vision, this was the first time we saw Yoichi's eyes: when he was being defiant, despite being pushed down by someone much stronger than him.
Really characteristic of him, honestly. Yoichi's soft-spoken and frail, but it's always reiterated that Yoichi had a powerful will against his stronger big brother.
Mineta at this moment reminded him too much of Yoichi, because the two scenes are near-identical to each other. Parallels, really.
Reiterating something from OP's post that I reblogged this from;
"The reminder of his brother made him uncomfortable, so he hurried away."
AFO didn't want to hurt Yoichi again.

(Not proof-read. Pls notify me of any mistakes 🙏🏻)
I gripped Solomon's hand tightly as we approached the giant house. He told me I had been there before, but just as my brain struggled to place his name, it struggled to pull any memories of this place to the surface.
"Do you remember this? It's called the House of Lamentation."
I frowned and shook my head slowly. "I don't know..." I couldn't help the whine that seeped into my voice. I didn't like this feeling.
He knelt down and straightened my uniform that, while it had luckily shrunk too, was still really baggy. The rough fabric did little to help my emotionally fuzzy state.
"That's alright, small one." He smiled warmly at me, "we'll have you feeling better in no time."
My breath hitched as he picked me up, my feet leaving the ground in one quick motion. I looked at the big house with wide eyes. Everything was dark, including the storm clouds that lingered over the top of the roof. I thought the walk to get here though the forest of dead trees was scary, but this was way worse.
Solomon rubbed the back of my head as I gripped his uniform jacket for comfort and hid my head in his shoulder.
He gripped the large knocker on the door and told me to cover my ears. I listened. From the force of his arm, 3 loud knocks boomed. I slowly uncovered my ears as I heard scrambling footsteps.
"COMIN'! HOLD YER HORSES!"
The door opened to another white-haired man, disheveled from running to the door. He looked at Solomon through his orange tinted sunglasses.
"You said there was something wrong with (MC)??" He asked, panicked. "Wait... who's the kid?"
I hid my face into Solomons shoulder once more as I was now the topic of conversation.
"(MC)?" Solomon pulled on my chin with his finger to get me to look at him. "Everything's alright. No need to be shy."
Sunglasses Man stared in shock, jaw agape and eyes unblinking. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO (MC)?!"
I jumped from the sudden yelling and felt tears start to well up in my eyes. Why was he mad? Did I do something wrong?
As I aggressively wiped the tears that began falling, I noticed a taller man approach the doorway as well. He was quizzically silent for a moment before speaking.
"That's (MC)?"
"Yes, Beel." Solomon bounced me lightly on his hip in an effort to soothe me. "Their memories seemed to have reverted back to childhood just like their body. I don't think they remember much about the Devildom."
Sunglasses Man looked hurt, but the one he called Beel smiled sympathetically and reached out a hand toward me. His hand was warm on my shoulder in comparison to how cold I was from being outside. It broke me out of my emotional state, and I reached out, wanting to be transferred to him.
"Ouch. Replaced already." Solomon chuckled, handing me off to Beel. I didn't pay him attention. I just wanted to be warm.
"You have some explaining to do."
"Calm down, Mammon. Just get everyone in one place and I'll explain what I know so far." I watched from over Beel's shoulder as Solomon pushed past into the doorway. The one he called Mammon rolled his eyes and messed with his phone.
"Fine. Told everyone to meet us in the dinin' room. Cmon."
I looked around each room with wide eyes. It was like a castle! I couldn't help but feel the want to run around and explore. I began to push away from Beel, squirming to be let down. He placed me down, but as I was about to run off, his finger hooked into the back of my shirt collar, holding me in reach.
"Don't leave yet." His voice was noticeably deep and calm. "We gotta wait here."
I frowned at this.
"But I wanna exploooree," I whined. It wasn't fair. Everything was so pretty, and I wanted to go look around. I looked up at the tall man, and the look he was giving was enough to make me go quiet.
I glanced to my side at the sight of movement in the corner of my eye. Sunglasses ma- er, Mammon... was pacing around and biting his nail. I didn't know why til the door swung open and the clicking of shoes reached my ears.
Instinctively, I hid behind Beel; suddenly gripped with nervousness. His hand rested on top of my hair, ruffling it reassuringly. I peeked around his leg to see a dark-haired man with a serious expression on his face.
Scary.
"What's this 'emergency' meeting for, Mammon?"
Mammon scratched the back of his head, stumbling with his words as four others walked into the dining room, watching the scene unfold.
Solomon interrupted. "It's MC." He said, stepping next to Mammon. "I found them in the library and -"
The intimidating man glowered. "Where are they?"
I felt Beel's hand on my back, gently pushing me in front of him. I tried to return to my hiding spot behind him, but the scary man's eyes met mine before I could. His eyes widened in surprise, and I squeaked in fear.
"Solomon, explain."
I looked around at the others while their voices faded in the background. Why was everyone looking at me? I couldn't remember any of them, but they all knew my name. What was up with that?
"Hey (MC)" a strawberry blond man knelt beside me. He looked as nice as he smelled. "Do you remember who I am?"
I shook my head, still clutching the leg of Beel's pants.
"My name's Asmodeus." He smiled at me warmly. "This all must be pretty confusing, huh?"
"Asmodi- As-" Another big name. This is frustrating.
He chuckled and poked in between my scrunched eyebrows. "You can call me what you want, sweetie. You're gonna give yourself wrinkles, frowning like that."
I giggled at his joke, but the sound of my laughter grabbed everyone else's attention; much to my dismay. The purple haired guy's eyes started tearing up, and he shook with excitement.
"Levi, contain yourself..." Beel warned. Too late.
Levi rushed over and lifted me in the air before hugging and swinging me around rapidly. "THAT WAS SO MOE! DO IT AGAIN MC! PRETTY PLEAASSEEE??"
Overwhelmed at the sudden movement, I screamed. Who can blame me? Stranger danger, right?
I felt myself yanked from his arms by another. I clung to whoever it was, waiting for the dizziness to fade. What just happened...
"Levi, you scared them. Don't you realize how disoriented this whole situation must be to (MC)? They don't remember who we are, got that?"
This guy was new, too. I looked up at whoever was holding me. It was the blond guy who was reading a book when walking in. Despite not wanting to be held by another new person, I clung to my savior, who rescued me from being smothered.
Before I knew it, an argument had started. My name was thrown around a few times, throwing my attention around everywhere. I whimpered and pressed my hands to my ears.
"QUIET!" A single voice boomed over the other's, silencing them all. The dark-haired man glared at anyone who tried to speak, shutting them all up thoroughly. The heels of his shoes clicked against the hard floor as he walked over to me.
"(MC)? Could you look at me?"
I hesitated before meeting his eyes. They looked more sympathetic now.
"What all do you remember? It's important that you think back."
I frowned in concentration and thought about Solomon in the library with me. "Soo- Mon said I could go home..."
I heard a chuckle at my botched pronunciation of the name and shyly moved closer to the one holding me.
"No, (MC), before that. Do you remember anything about what you were doing before that?"
I shook my head. Too many questions. I wanted this to be over with.
"Okay, something easier." He muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Can you remember any of our names?"
I nodded happily, and he looked relieved. "That's Soo-man, That's Bee, That's Azzy, and that's Sunglasses man- I mean, Maman." I pointed at each, respectively. All I received in return was a pained look.
"MAMAN?!" Mammon shrieked indignantly before flopping onto the floor in defeat. "The human is officially broken."
"Mammon, calm yourself." Solomon smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'll take the book with me and work towards figuring out how to reverse the curse."
"I need to notify Diavolo. Satan, I trust you can handle them?"
My eyes widened. Satan? I looked at him and couldn't resist poking his cheek. "Your name is like the bad guy in the bible."
His face went blank, and he drew a sharp breath. I don't think he liked that very much. He drew his lips into a sharp, irritated smile and nodded. "I got this, Lucifer."
My jaw dropped at that, and I looked at the dark-haired man. "You're also -" Satan clamped a hand over my mouth before I could finish.
"Human mythology is the bane of my existence." He growled. Lucifer gave him a sympathetic smirk and walked off, phone in hand. In the meantime, I was given a rundown of everyone's name. Each one of them being harder and harder for my small mind to pronounce.
Beelzebub seemed to sense my frustration and walked into the neighboring kitchen for a short time. He returned with a small bowl in hand and showed it to me.
"Are you hungry?" I looked into the bowl and saw strawberries a dark shade of red with black stems. They definitely looked like strawberries...
"They're blood strawberries. They're good, (MC)" To show me, he took one a popped it in his mouth. I hesitantly followed suit. The juiced dripped down my chin as a grin broke out on my face.
"Yummy!"
Satan placed me into one of the dining room chairs, and the bowl was placed in front of me. The man next to me, Belphie, I think, peeked open an eye from the movement going on next to him. He smiled lazily at me.
I picked up a Blood Strawberry and held it out to him. "Wan one?"
He accepted it with a chuckle and ate it before going back to sleep. He seemed nice. The door slammed open, and I jumped, knocking the rest of my strawberries to the floor. Lucifer walked in with an air of authority.
"Diavolo is on his way. Best behavior, everyone."
I gulped. Who was that and why did Lucifer seem so serious about it? Diavolo must be scary..
