#kingdom hearts #kh #ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy #just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though #the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top #it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream #->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain #and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older #the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time #but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense #i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing #the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that #very wistful looking through it #fan art #my art #project stuff

i like to hc that when JD came back to the tree, he went gray for a while and since he doesn't have Rhonda yet, he just walked aimlessly until he came across a lovely little town of the country trolls

and met Delta :]

he stayed there for a bit till he got his colors back and when he got them back, he went back to going adventures bcuz it's what his heart is telling him or somthin sjfjsk

and he met Rhonda on his adventures

and then met Trollex few years later in his adventure maybe, i dunno dkdjhda

wrong move he did tho, he left Delta even if she threatened him that she'll break up with him and forget about him if he leaves

another wrong thing he did is that he thinks she's just joking, so when they met again after years later like after the events of trolls 3 lol, he just says that they're exes jokingly, didn't know that she was being /srs till he got hit by the cold heart truth

and that is, i dunno, i kinda like to think in this funky hc that he writes her letters, so when he asked her about the letters, and tells him that she doesn't read them and just throws it away, it just made him realize that she was indeed /srs

but yeah, he didn't even visit her,, sure he writes her letters on telling her what he's been up to, he's not really expecting a letter back considering he moves everywhere plus with the help of Rhonda,, tho what he didn't know is that, Delta doesn't even reads the letters she receives from him

and then sees that Delta and King Trollex are together, he's just kinda hurt and jealous a bit, he likes trollex too, he just jealous about the fact that them two (Delta and Trollex) can be lovey dovey, but if it's him and Delta, she's still holding a grudge against him

saw some speculation on FranklyDear in relation to the audios and i want to toss my two cents in

so all the thing's i've been seeing have been people talking about how they're a couple, but they're not acting like it, so that must be Playfellow's influence making them put distance between each other

but i immediately interpreted it as - they're not there yet. there might be feelings, but they aren't Together. cause in the 14 bug audios, i feel like it's pretty clear that these are snapshots of the neighborhood outside of the show. cameras aren't rolling, there are no influences, it's the neighbors just Existing on their own dime

'cause the conversations are more natural! the characters seem more nuanced! there aren't any sound effects! so if FranklyDear is already established, wouldn't we have "seen" that in their shared audio 8-14? wouldn't Eddie have just called Frank Frank, without the immediate (and somewhat flustered) correction to Mr. Frankly? and wouldn't Frank call him Eddie instead of Mr. Dear? plus, idk about y'all, but that scene was a lil romantically charged. a little flirty - especially from Frank's side. the kind of tension you get from budding emotions, not fully-realized ones

they just seem to be in a before state. the beginning stages. and anyway, i remember Clown saying that revealing FranklyDear as an endgame couple was sort of an Accident? i think we were meant to watch it evolve and figure it out along with the characters, the way we will with any other relationships (that we Definitely are not aware of / confident about yet).

we're still only in the prologue of the story, so it'd make so much sense if Frank and Eddie are not yet Involved. we're on this journey With them

#in a parallel universe there are people arguing over whether or not frank & eddie are a Thing #im kinda thankful that's not our reality lol #i think it's going to be fun just sitting back Fully Aware and watching these two Go Through It #i just highly highly HIGHLY doubt they're already together #plus how much more fun would it be to watch it Happen?#to see them experience the conflict and feelings and realizations and how their interactions will likely Change Accordingly #homebogging #welcome home theory #welcome home speculation #before the audios i had a feeling that it would be eddie being the more up-front flirty go-getter of the two #based on clown's art of them & such #but then with the audios eddie is a little more... reserved isnt the right word....#polite? restrained? trying to keep things Amicable and Professional?#cause in 8-14 frank was the more relaxed teasing one while eddie was a bit of a flustered mess #which might've been because of the bug #but yk... he Did rush to correct himself on how he addressed frank...#and the way frank spoke... idk it just sounded like a slightly different Tone than what they usually speak with #more of a casual drawl. more forward - there was a Weight to it #and the 'you don’t need to be that familiar with them in order to get to know them better'#imo that line stuck out as a kind of a wink wink nudge nudge thing #like a Hey. We Could Get To Know Each Other.#twas a classic 'talking about one thing while saying another' phrase - again imo #oh and also its just occurring to me #if the bug audios are 'present day' like i suspect #its entirely possible that franklydear can only 'now' develop bc theyre - well theyre not exactly Free #but playfellow is no longer 'ruling' over them. the influence and pressure - no matter how subconcious it was - is no longer there #freeing them up just enough to maybe... just maybe... truly Feel and perhaps Express interest in each other #just a thought!#that would be another tally in the box explaining why their interaction in the 8-14 audio was Different #there isn't anything holding them back anymore beyond their (possible) own internalized biases & fears & expectations etc

yknow i didn't necessarily start my wyll origin run with the intent of romancing astarion in mind but the more i play the more i find their similarities amusing when it comes to like, the surface level personality they present to strangers in act 1.

wyll is a compulsive flirt. you see it in dialogue with shadowheart and lae'zel - he just tosses out a couple lines that clearly aren't supposed to go anywhere (asking lae'zel if she believes in love at first sight, blatantly reusing the same flirtation attempts with shadowheart) and i see this as part of his Blade of Frontiers persona. obviously a traveling vigilante would have no time for romance or relationships, but he's socially aware enough to have learned that people respond well to a certain level of rogueish charm. especially if his reputation precedes him. he can safely and positively engage in surface level flirtations with the people he interacts with because the person doing the flirting isn't real - at least not to him. he often says the Blade is his best self, but to him its an ideal he strives to achieve, not the person he really is. and i imagine that includes the ability to give discouraged people positive attention in a nonthreatening way. its safe. its superficial. he doesn't have to follow through.

this is overshadowed somewhat by astarion's tendency to flirt with anything that has a pulse, but the perspective they both have on it is pretty similar. theyre both coming from a place of not actually being interested in the recipient of their attention - whether that be through astarion's ulterior motives or wyll's lack of capacity for a relationship - but they both still put on this front because it's habitual. it's worked for them and it's gotten them through the varying degrees of social contracts they find themselves in. so they wind up trading lines easily because they've studied from the same script.

anyway what im getting at is bumping these two personalities against each other can definitely result in wyll and astarion committing to the bit so hard they accidentally wind up in a relationship. like, you're safe, you know the rules, you're speaking in a language i'm familiar with but we both understand that neither of us expect anything back on an emotional level. wait when did we start confiding our deepest secrets with one another. what do you mean you trust me.

#wyll waking up with holes in his neck like..... arent i supposed to be a monster hunter.... why did i let him do that #astarion wandering around in the woods like why tf did i bite the vigilante that was so stupid hes gonna straight up murder me #both of them return to the safety of the Meaningless Flirtation Script but something has changed #anyway i think theres a lot to explore here wrt the comedy of being mutually oblivious #crossing line after line past the superficial without really acknowledging or being aware of it #and really when you think about it wyll needs someone who doesnt... need him if you get what i mean #at least #someone who doesnt need the blade of frontiers #astarion doesnt need saving or rescuing hes a man of personal agency capable of defending and making decisions for himself and #i think being with someone like that would take the pressure off of wyll a little bit #i dont need you to protect me like so many others #i just need someone to stand by my side #idk ive just been thinking about it a lot #long post #bg3 #wyll ravengard #astarion ancunin #i never know the ship names for these #wyll x astarion

You make her watch you crumble and splinter and shatter and fracture and burst and implode. You make her watch you die, over and over and over and over, for a minute in agonizing bullet time.
