30 Days of Yoga - Done ✅
I’m in tears and so so very proud of myself 😭🧘🏻♀️
This is the first time in over a year I can complete a challenge like this. My life was falling apart and more often than not I didn’t think I would make it to the next day.
This is me learning to love myself again, learning to take care of myself again 💜

Gnomevember 2023, thirty
(CHALLENGE COMPLETE!!)
"Sweet."
As in the meaning of the flower forming that there crown – Honey Flower. “Love sweet and secret.” Featuring Bartelbia, current and only Gnomish princess in “Tock the Gnome” and youngest descendant of Queen Arella, who was pictured in the post for day one.
And segue, ending with that connection – I DID ITTTTTTT!!!!! Gonna go collapse like a flan in a cupboard now (i.e. maybe take like 5 minutes and then dive into commissions and show prep). Seriously though, with life being so lifey lately – as much as there are SO MANY good things happening, too – getting to do this challenge (again), using Gnomes as an anchor in that chaos absolutely kept me tethered to my sanity and my purpose for the last 30 days. Extra super duper thanks to kristileighgillustration, of the ‘gram, for her lovely prompt list, and for any and all likes and eyes on my work in general.

Fireworks
Well, I did it! 31 ficlets in 31 days! A December to Remember is now complete! Happy New Year!
"Great. This is just great. What the fuck are we going to do now?" David whined, as he looked out the window.
The freezing rain started around ten in the morning, and by noon it looked like a skating rink outside. David, Patrick, Alexis, and Stevie were supposed to be driving to Elm Glen to ring in the New Year. Ray told them it was supposed to be the biggest fireworks display in all of Elm County. And now, it looked like they would be celebrating New Year’s Eve at the cottage.
At two, they lost power. Patrick and Stevie were in the process of moving the coffee table and recliner to make room for the mattress from Stevie’s bed. That, and the air mattress is where they all would be sleeping tonight, since that will be the warmest room in the cottage. Patrick knew with absolute certainty the power would not be back on by this evening.
“Hold up,” Stevie said, standing up. “Why am I helping Patrick move all this stuff, while you look out the window and pout? You can’t tell me you actually wanted to go to Elm Glen, did you?”
“It’s your mattress you're moving in, not mine.”
“Yes, but you already said you were not sleeping on the air mattress, so you should be the one moving it!”
David humphed and rolled his eyes. “To answer your question, yes, I was looking forward to going out. I was sick last year and slept through the new year. And I thought it may be fun, all right? Is that so hard to believe?”
“Yes.” Patrick and Stevie said in unison.
“Fuck you both. I’m going to get the candles and see what we have to eat.” David stomped off to the kitchen, leaving Patrick and Stevie laughing in his wake.

Sojourn
I'd been living in Eorzea for a few months, living in a strange land while trying to meet Dad, and it was starting to feel less like a temporary stay and more like immigration, but since I'd finally ended up with a fixed address, it meant mom's letters started finding their way to me. And of course, it turned out dad had something to do with -that-, too. He'd apparently resolved some sort of ongoing struggle with deliveries for the moogle post. Or possibly he beat up their king? Or both.
Basically every story I heard about my old man was more ridiculous than the last, and that's only counting the verifiable ones.
I was still working shifts at the Saucer while I waited for the window to visit Ishgard Mr. Manderville had promised- it was easier than trying to keep busy with the day work provided by the adventurer's guild. It also turned out to be a good way to hear stories about my dad.
For example, until last week I'd never heard before that he went missing for five years, between the fall of Dalamud and the more recent spate of god-killing that got me to come look for him in the first place.
The thing is, no one seemed to know where he went during all that time. He disappeared during the big battle with the dragon that came out of the moon, apparently (Because of course) but then just turned up in Gridania, and no one knows where he was between those times.
And I mean literally no one. Not one single person reported sightings, and in fact, a lot of folks said that no one could remember what the Warriors of light looked like, including dad, so he wasn't recognized when he came back at first.
So first: What?
Second: What the fuck.
He can't have just been nowhere, can he?
And of course, the group he was part of is all dead or missing so I can't find them or even talk to them- I checked out what was supposed to be their old base but it looked completely abandoned.
Like I said. Every time I find out something about dad, it gets more ridiculous.
But for now, I guess I'm staying in Eorzea temporarily for a little while longer. Sorry, Mom.

That race was neck and neck all day long! Though i will say that comments just barely won 10 comments to the 195 kudos.
Still made it to 200 but that challenge was a fantastic sight to see, and thank you for all those that engaged!

I don't wanna further hijack that poor poll, but the thing about Harrow's schizophrenia is that it's canon. The author has confirmed it, and shared that it's based on her own experience.
It's a pretty obscure bit of canon, so of course there's no shame in not already knowing, but that's why I'm so obnoxiously persistent about letting people know.
Whatever else is up with Harrow, autism or cptsd or any number of likely headcanons, she is also schizophrenic. I feel like that's too important to be handwaved away as a difference of opinion.
