i hope death
is like being carried to your bedroom
when you were a child
and fell asleep on the couch
during a family party.
i hope
you can hear the laughter
from the next room
Feliz Día De Los Muertos 🏵🖤

Hola!
Do you know anything about Sam´s fathers funeral? Is he buried in Canada? Have not seen that Sam has been in Canada since he has visited his father.
Hi, Anon, not sure why you're asking this now. But, yes, Sam's father is buried in Canada, where he lived the last years of his life. Sam and his brother went to visit him in 2013, and he died not too long after that.
Here's a pic of Sam, with his brother and father. Not sure who the woman is, I think it may be stepmother. 👇 (I lightened the pic so you can see the dad better).
Tumblr media
Here's the father's death announcement from British Columbia, Canada. 👇
Tumblr media
There was a video from his memorial service that used to be on YouTube, called "David Heughan, A Celebration Of His Life," but it's private now. 👇 This is an old screencap of the beginning of it.
Tumblr media
It was a celebration with friends and family that took place in Canada in 2013. There were many photos of his father and you can see Sam looks more like his father. To me, his brother looks more like their mother. At one point, in the video, a friend of the family reads a letter Sam wrote.
As to your question about if Sam has gone to Canada to visit his father's grave, I doubt that's something he would make public. 🤷‍♀️
As an aside, guess who HAS gone to visit Sam's father's grave in Canada? One of the worst of the worst OG Extreme Shippers from back in the day. Yep, you heard me right. Years ago, an ES, who does not live in Canada, took it upon herself to go visit Sam's dad's grave to pay her respects. Um, what? Can we say stalker? That's exactly the kind of behavior a stalker engages in "to feel closer" to the object of her desire aka Sam. Mind blowing, I know.
Hope that answers your question, Anon.

Early Childhood - Celebration of Life
Maria Montessori developed a very special ritual to honor a child’s birthday called the Celebration of Life. During this celebration, a student walks around the “sun” holding the globe, showing the passage of time as a full rotation represents a year. As they reach their birth month of each year, they and their family share pictures, stories, and accomplishments of that year. This allows them to share with their teachers and peers all their growth and development. As they complete their final walk, they blow out the candle as they think about the year to come!

It’ll be quite a party
This is perfect:
Nice and casual. No pall-covered casket. No mourning garb. Music and dancing at a Moose lodge not far from the blue-collar neighborhood where we grew up, and where Brother Mark lived until his death last month.
I can predict that the stories told on Jan. 21 will fill the lodge to the rafters and that they’ll evoke more laughter than tears.
In other words, it will be just the way Mark would have wanted it.
The word is that half his ashes will be spread on sacred ground (our 80-acre deer camp in northern Michigan); the other half will go into the holy water of the Detroit River, from which Mark pulled many perch and walleye.
By the way, the quote “It’s been quite a party, ain’t it?” is from “Lonesome Dove”, one of Mark’s favorite movies. Gus spoke the line to his long-time pal, Woodrow, as Gus lay dying.

So this saturday is your "celebration of life"
I dont even know how i really feel about any of this...
i hope it turns out beautiful. i hope people show up and everyone talks about how amazing of a person you were and all the great memories they shared.
i hope it everything amazing just like you were..
but if im being honest...
im worried no one is going to show. no one is gonna take time out of there day to stop by and remember you. you always talked about how everyone is so busy nowadays, everyones living so fast.
but you know i will be there and your grandson. the few and far between that truly loved you, no matter what.
i love you daddy.
