Technically I've already done an original Cat!Zoé design, but here we'll take some inspiration from canon. So, consider this one if they'd slid Kitty Noire over to me to make some design changes.

S o Here are some colored sketches that I did today! I was spurred to do this by seeing an artstyle that I @blanketmoth​ REALLY LIKED so (naturally) I stole a few aspects that I liked. As one does. I don’t regret anything. 10/10 recommend. Go look at their art!

But aside from practicing incorporating that into my artstyle, I was also practicing a technique I saw in one of Ethan Becker’s videos, to help with drawing faces. I wasn’t perfect in recreating the technique but I do think that it has helped with the spacing in the faces. AND THE EYES ARE SMALL NOW YES

The colors have also been shifted a bit in the color pallets but its nothing too noteworthy. Posting new art will be a little slower with school starting up but I will hopefully do it more than once a month.

The technique:

I am going crazy for this Le Paon design. I thought I’d make her look all sickly and mentally ill because of the broken miraculous but this is also heavily inspired by by that one au (by @mirrorroad ) where emilie is a horror actress and I literally lost my mind.

So she’s a little deranged but that’s what we love about her.

Here's a bunch of doodles I did for the redesigned heroes, plus one Zoé Lee-Bourgeois, in her Bee hoodie no less. I do have designs for tiny Vesperia that I might put out later. But for next time, I think it's time we bring in a villain? Maybe a certain fox?

I’m low key obsessed with lady noire for a couple of reasons. One of my favorite aspects of marinettes character is that people perceive her as this clumsy but intelligent , kind, and responsible person who is super sweet and while she is all of those things she’s also secretly an impulsive criminal and only alya and tikki really know this side. Girl has commit CRIMES, she’s stolen (book, batterie, multiple phones), broken and entered, falsified her identity (at least five times I can think of off the top of my head), and cheated. But as ladybug she has all this pressure to be perfect and capable and always have the solution, so I love that as lady noire she gets to go a little feral and be a bit of the menace that she truly is on the inside.
