The drawing I did of Ingo had an Akari drawing by it, mostly for scale reference. It was actual from this piece where I gave her a Giratina outfit to oppose Volo's hideous Arceus one (What is that HAIR!?!?) as well as for a fanfiction plot that I haven't written yet.
My favorite part is the scarf wings, and her hair clips and tiara

What miraculous do you think are the ideal matches for the madrigals?

It depends on if you want to go by a strict gift basis or personality. Some of those aren't exclusive though-
TLDR-
Julieta- Wayzz, Alma- Nooroo or Liiri, Pepa- Daizzi/Longg, Bruno- Sass or Tikki, Felix- Diazzi, Augustin- Kalkki, Isabela- Pollen, Dolores- Longg or Barkk, Luisa- Pollen & Duusu, Camilo- Pollen, Antonio- Duusu/unclear, and Mirabel- any of them really.
Bonus Turtle Julieta who didn't make it into AVB- Her name is Hicotea
Julieta for example I think would do well with the turtle both because it's the closest to her gift (since besides the ladybug there isn't a healing power) and I think she and Wayzz would get along well.
Alma would theoretically either have the butterfly (Matriarch deal) or the Ladybug and Cat. But I don't think she'd get along with any of the kwamis very well. Maybe Liiri, but she'd not here.
Pepa would power wise have the dragon, and I think in personality it fits okay. But I would personally either give her Wayzz or Daizzi. Possibly also Orikko.
Bruno would have either Fluff or Sass based on his gift and I think he'd get along with both. I also think he and Tikki would get along (hence Cochineal) and Plagg would have a similar dynamic with him that he does with Adrien, albeit less parental/familial, more platonic. I think he and Mullo would also get along.
Felix would get along with Daizzi, Ziggy, or Orikko. All three seem to thrive on holders with high energy and positive attitude
Augustin could do well with Wayzz and possible Kaalki, since she's probably help with his clumsiness through sheer determination. As well as Stompp who would go "Fuck it, lets just throw shit." I gave him Sass in AVB since I figured he'd be willing to try a million times to get it right, but its not my fist pick.
Isabela would probably do best with Pollen, both because haha Bee, but also- Pollen is a very loyal bee. She calls Isabela her queen but if her queen wants to throw color bombs and do fancy acrobatics with vines? Bravo! Keep going. I stand by the idea that Isabela and Longg could never really get along. Second choices would be Xuppu or Trixx since they'd encourage her to have fun but Trixx for sure would not let her get away with being bitchy. Tikki would also probably do her good.
Dolores could still do well with Mullo at the best of times but I'd be more inclined to give her Pollen, Longg, or Barkk. Pollen and Long would be very respectful of her sensitive hearing while still helping push her, and Barkk would bite anyone being too loud. She is very loyal. Dolores would probably also do well with Plagg for the simple fact he is high demand for food, but very apathetic the rest of the time.
Luisa would match with Roaar in terms of gifts but personality wise I think Pollen, Duusu, Kalkki, or Barkk. With I think Pollen or Duusu being the strongest two.
Camilo would match with Trixx for powers but I wasn't kidding in A Lawless Cat when I said I thought he'd make a good Bee. They're leaders and need to hold attention, but can get in a good sting if you turn your back. Other pick would be Orikko.
Antonio I think does well with the Peacock but otherwise he's a bit to young to know what other miraculous he would thrive with. His compassion would potentially also do well with the butterfly.
And now Mirabel, the character who i think has the widest picks.
Sticking to Cannon Encanto Mirabel I still think she'd have the widest variety. Obviously Nooroo is the top pick, Mirabel likes to help people but most of the time she's teaching them to help themselves first. Even to her own detriment. I think she and Tikki would thrive as two creative spirits, same with Ziggy. Her compassion and good understanding of feelings and others, would make her do well with Duusu. Plagg would encourage ehr to fight for herself, Liiri would want her to break free. Xuupu, Trixx, Orikko, and Diazzi would help her bring fun back into her life as well as spread her strengths to others. She's intuitive enough to work well with Sass, Roarr would push her to take power into her hands and be heard. Stompp would teach her to defend herself. The only kwami I think she wouldn't get on perfectly with is Longg, but even then it wouldn't be particularly bad. It's just that- Mirabel has specifically gone her whole life seeing herself as Imperfect which would strain her connection to him.

So like- I recently fell down a rabbit hole about Pokémon Legends Arceus... Funny Train man displaced in time is my favorite. If Emmet isn't in ZA I will fucking riot. At least then they're kind of at the same point in the timeline and can find each other. I can't believe they separated the twins for the sake of pun.

Here they are! The BOIs!
I hate drawing male characters (which is why this took so long) but we finally got it done!
Max is the only character who retains his age. I like the Kid Genius with his Jock friend archetype. He's 13 her and quite honestly looks younger. He met Kim on the first day of Highschool. They became best friends, and Max helps Kim study on the subjects he struggles in (Namely science and math) And Kim keeps him safe, both from potential bullies and getting trampled in the hall.
Speaking of Kim, fuck that plot line of him being a total ass, you can't make him a himbo in the making and then rip the rug out from under us! In this one Marinette either didn't have that experience or it was some rando. Kim does have a bit of crush on Chloe, he likes that she's very direct, but it never gets past that. And once Ondine expresses her interest, he changes focus. Kim is surprisingly good at History.
Nathaniel... We'll get back to-
Ivan is almost the exact same as cannon, I have no issues with Ivan or his relationship with Mylene. The only addition is he carries a lot of guilt about being the first akuma. The villains scare him about as much as the rest of the cast but he's terrified of the butterflies. Having your mind unexpectedly invaded messes with you. At least everyone else had Heard of Hawkmoth by the time they got akumatized.
Marc, I changed because I felt his and Nathaniel's personalities were a bit too similar. In this one, Marc is a bit more confident. He has aa pretty good group of friends, he already knows Nathaniel and Marinette. But he doesn't have much confidence in his writing. Which is why Marinette has to help him talk to Nath. Just trying to make him feel more like his own character, not an excessory to Nathaniel. Of course Marc isn't in the akuma class, which he is very happy about, but he fit here for the redesigns.
Okay! So Nathaniel- I don't really like him. He had like- 2 episodes where he's relevant (3 if you count Penalteam) but he's an akuma in his first and an ass in the second. Other than that he doesn't really do anything. But I don't want to pull a Thomas Austruc and character assassinate- so instead we are simply mostly removing him from the narrative- Here me out!
Nathaniel is in Marc's class, and he mostly interacts with the akuma class through Alix (His best friend) and Marinette who he knows from art club. His crush on Mari and later Ladybug is still there, they are teenagers after all. And Chloe still revealed his crush, though it wasn't so much to be cruel as it was just "Huh. Dupain-Cheng, figures", and he is very embarrased about this. I don't know how to re-write Reverser without making him an ass though, so I'll cross that bridge when I get to Marc's other designs. Please give me suggestions, I need help.

Part 2 of the life-swap series! Oddly enough when I asked those close to me, none of them anticipated that I'd swap Chloe and Luka. Honestly it made more sense to me? Both have sisters, have at least one obscenely rich parent, and have crushed on the two leads?
Now onto the plot-
After finding out about the twins Jagged decided to battle for custody. He managed to get full custody of Luka, but not Juleka, and out of spit decided to cut the twins off from each other, causing Anarka to move to the the US. But despite having a young son now, this didn't stop Jagged from touring, often leaving Luka behind in Paris to be looked after by whoever was available. Even when he was in Paris he often avoided Luka, instead leaving Penny to watch him.
Luka grew up bitter at his fathers lack of care for him, and took it out on everyone around him. Mostly the staff of both Le Grande Pari, where he lives, as well as whatever caregiver his father/Penny had hired. When he went to school, he immediately began taking his anger out on everyone there too. Once Adrien's mom passed he took a special hatred to the blonde, in some ways seeing himself in Adrien. Both now children of single fathers, but Gabriel is in his sons life (whether that's good or bad doesn't matter to Luka).
And Luka, being an empath knows exactly how to get under ones skin. Because even if you don't show your emotions outwardly, he still can tell when he's struck gold. The only person he doesn't hate is Marinette, his childhood friend and the only person unaware of his attitude.
And yes, we are going for Cannon Chloe swap here, so no redemption for Luka. Sad. I'll draw Akuma-Viperion later.
Onto Chloe, once Andre found out about Audrey's infidelity he gave her two options. The first, he expose her and her career be permanently marred. Or she give him full custody of both Chloe and Zoe and the could divorce peacefully. Chloe hasn't seen her mom since she was 3 and quite frankly had no interest in her. Zoe only being a half sister to Chloe is a carefully guarded secret, one that Zoe thinks even Chloe doesn't know.
Chloe, not wanting to emulate her mother grew up with a very different mindset. Instead being taught that being both too aggressive and a pushover will lead to a mess. So she instead learns to govern her hive with a firm but steady hand. The staff of Le Grand Paris greatly respect her, and she is often the one sent to head off a Luka temper tantrum, as the only person unimpressed by both him and his father. She's more of an Clara Nightingale fan anyways.
She fast tracked her way through school, and decided to take Highschool online as to give herself more time to work both at the hotel and at her event planning company. As Queen Bee, she is fierce but kind. The favorite of the secondary heroes, since she is not only efficient at stopping the akuma, but will stick around to comfort and reassure both the victim and the civilians who were caught in the attack.
Due to her calm voice and good advice, Ladybug and Chat Noir have turned to her many times for comfort on both the chaos hero life and civilian troubles. She's always willing to listen when they need her. As such Hawkmoth sees her as the most beneficial to target. Only he seems scarred to akumatize her for some reason...

So if anyone is wondering why the next redesigns are taking so long. This is why...
I got distracted when I started planning a Miraculous Au where the characters lives were swapped but not their miraculous. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this but it's the first time I've ever written it.
In this Au the Dupain-Cheng company either owns a large chain of bakeries or sells baked goods in stores across the world (like Hostess or Little Debbie) Tom and Sabine are still very happy, and good parents. Marinette chose to be homeschooled after repeated bullying from classmates (Not Chloe) when she was in primary school.
Adrien's mom passed away a few years earlier since they didn't have the funds for her to live longer with her illness. Afterwards Gabriel threw himself into running his tailoring business. Adrien tends to avoid being at home as much as possible, since he and his father can only seem to talk while fighting.
Since they didn't have the money to pay for a tutor and Gabriel didn't have time, Adrien has been attending public school for most of his life. He's been bullied for years, by one person in particular, and has very few friends since people fear having that attention turned on them.
For her last year of Middle School/Collège Marinette has decided to face her fears and go to public school again. Only to chicken out before even making it to the door on day one, much to the chagrin of her childhood best friend.
The next day, Adrien is in the process of trying to get gum off of his seat when Marinette comes in. She is told by her friend (Adrien's Bully) who says Adrien put it there. Unwilling to face another bully at on the first day she buckles down to just try and make it through the day.
That's when she meets Ayla, who is calm and collected. Her unwavering chill helps balance out Marinette's frantic nature. Marinette's first new friend!
Later Adrien explains that he was only trying to get the gum off the seat, and that Marinette's friend had put it there to spite Adrien before they knew Marinette was coming.
Marinette decides to give him chance.

Meet our lovely Mariposa family! (Okay technically Dama Mariposa should have been here too- but who really cares about her *cough*)
Bellona Nyx, fun fact, has become one of my least favorite designs for Mirabel overtime. Like- I don't think it's particularly bad but I definitely wouldn't design her that way now. Her hero outfit as Mariposa is one I greatly prefer. I cut her cloak for this drawing since I didn't want it crowding Antonio
Morado Rey meanwhile is probably one of my favorite butterfly designs in general! He's just so cute, simple, but so very adorable. Though I can't decide between him and Azure.
Satyrin! How did you find me!?! Have you crawled your way out from my nightmares!?
I hated drawing him. Hate. I had such a bad time trying to design him when I first wrote A Petty Ladybug. It's part of the reason I abandoned it, all of the designs were giving me trouble. Here I tried to combine his poncho/ruana with the wings idea, also the man ponytail and old man shoes were a must. Who do you think I am? Since it's Bruno I imagine he's not a very flashy Papillion. So he's very grey with only one real purple in the mix.

Might as well show these off. These were the sketches I did for Shadybug and Claw Noir for their redesigns. Of course a few things changed by the time they made it to digital, Claw was supposed to have more scratch marks on his jacket but they were cut for being too cluttered. Shadybug's spots were changed in size and pattern.
But I thought this might show my process for my redesigns.

Oh hey, long time no see. I recently started a new sketchbook and decided to do a traditional illustration of Wonder. I find that every time I draw Wonder she gets another little tweak in design, this time I changed her shoes. With spring inbound I think she might make a few more appearances in the coming months.

Haven't done anything for A Vengeful Butterfly in a while! I've had a pretty steady change in art style, and I'm a lot more happy with how I draw Mirabel now. For fun, here are some civilian styles for Mirabel across all of the AU's of AVB.
(Left to Right)
A Vengeful Butterfly- A remake of one of the outfits I first drew for Mirabel, plus her leather jacket I describe a lot. Rocking her Kwagatama earrings.
A Fowl Vengeance- Mirabel having Dusuu as her primary influence would make her more streamlined outside of her Aguerey persona. Peahens are calmer, they slip into the background. Mirabel starts wearing more muted colors, but in higher quality. Of ccourse she still has her earrings. AFV Mirabel cut her hair short in an attempt to reclaim a bit of control at Dussu and Nooroo's suggestion.
A Lawless Cat- Aka Mirabel is she had a happy childhood. I imagine she doesn't want to scream Hellion, so she swaps her large black coats for greens. You might also notice she has new glasses. Her family thinks she is a Hellion fangirl and really want them to meet- oof.
A Petty Ladybug- Mirabel is absolutely rocking the Ladybug and Butterfly merch. Her family think its a spite thing, favoring the new 'heroes.' Mirabel wears Tikki's earrings, still red and has Ladybug motifs alongside her Butterfly patterns, though the colors have switched to green and purple for Bruno and Nooroo. She grew her hair out and started wearing contacts. Bruno's birthday present changes from a butterfly necklace to a ladybug, again for obvious reasons.
Hound on the Hunt- still 15 instead of 12 here, Think of her as the Paris Special alt. Mirabel dropped her brighter colors and blues for Isabela's purples, greens, golds, and blacks. Of course with Barrk's collar still front and center. She also bleached and grayed the tips of her hair for visual spice. Even de-transformed, Mirabel is a force to be reckoned with. Somewhere between Regina George and Eva from Bring it On the Musical.

A little late, but happy Valentines Day! Here is the Miracu-squad, whose pose and framing was based on a random thing on Pinterest.
Mari got flowers from her Kitty, Adrien is offering flowers to Ladybug becase he's a one lady man. Chloe just shoved a flower in her crush's face, I'll let you theorize on who that is. Alya got a flower from a mystery admirer and after going along with the bit Nino thought she actually didn't know who it was and bought her more flowers. Zoe would like to give you, yes YOU, flowers for reading this whole thing.
