Alison Gunn was a face Shepard didn鈥檛 mind wearing鈥揳 cutthroat weapons dealer based out of Ilium with high society aspirations and the low-grade sociopathy to see them through. Alison saw people as trade opportunities and weighed their value to her with an expert and objective eye. Slipping into her was a bit like slipping into a pair of silk designer underwear: a silent shift from the woman who sometimes forgot she had blood crusted under her broken fingernails and woke up most nights twisted up in memories of the dead to the kind of woman who drank dark, expensive wine in wide, bowl-shaped glasses and slept like a baby on satin sheets hours after shooting a man down in cold blood.
Alison was the kind of person who thrived in the Terminus, even if she was made up鈥搈anifested from the ether of an expert thief鈥檚 imagination and given falsified dental records, e-zine subscriptions, a driver鈥檚 license, and half a dozen extranet dating profiles. She wasn鈥檛 a hero, wasn鈥檛 a villain鈥搉ot by Terminus standards anyway鈥搘as just a shit person with a cruel streak, a knack for manipulation, and the ambition and amorality to put both to good use. Putting on her face was a welcome relief. Hands finally steady, Shepard made her way to the stage where a crowd was gathering and found her target.

Chapters: 29/?
Fandom: LEGO Monkie Kid
Rating: Mature
Summary:
Everything is falling apart. Huntsman is missing, the Queen and Goliath could be walking into a death trap, and you and Syntax are at your wits end. You're starting to hate large parties like this, because with a group so large, nobody would even notice if someone went missing...
You just hope you can make it out of the casino alive. For fucks sake, you promised Syntax a night of stargazing, did you not?

the tried and true rtvs tradition and tactic of typing "Captain Jean-Luc Picard appears" into an unrelated but stagnating ai story will always delight me no matter the dissenting cries of some in chat and also sometimes other rtvs members

I think the thing I miss most about when shows weren鈥檛 essentially 10 hour movies is that if the plot of one episode or a two parter set of episodes sucked it wouldn鈥檛 bring the others down. Thinking of a show like Star Trek DS9 specifically where there WERE overarching themes but for example Sons of Mogh doesn鈥檛 make Bar Association -which comes immediately after in episode order!- a bad episode, and it doesn鈥檛 in any way cheapen Past Tense I&II from the season before!
