Jack Sparrow’s Rose Chapter 3

Chapter 3: The Black Pearl.

General POV.

' I still can't believe you're blaming yourself for all this' Elizabeth said to Rosemary

While they were getting ready to go to bed.

They were best friends they had sleepover's like this all the time and Rosemary was braiding Elizabeth her hair.

'Well I lifted you into that corset so well yes.. I'm the one the blame..

If you didn't wear one, you wouldn't have fallen of the cliff and that pirate would have been captured' I rolled my eyes.

'Or well those two dim Witts probarly would have let him go anyway'

Elizabeth let out a chuckle.

Rosemary had finished Elizabeth's braid and walked away to the huge bed.

And Elizabeth turned around. But before she could ask about Rosemary's threatening with Jack Sparrow Rosemary spoke up.

' So.. Did he do it? '

Elizabeth looked at her confused.

' Who did what? '

Rosemary sighed.

'For heavens sake Elizabeth. Did Captain Norr.. I forgive me ' Rosemary bowed

' I mean commodore Norrington ask for your hand?'

Elizabeth looked at Rosemary with a confused look.

'You know. I'm not sure.. I was on the verge of fainting. But I think so ' Elizabeth replied dryly

Rosemary's POV

'YOU THINK SO ?! Elizabeth do you even know how big of a deal that is?' I almost shouted at her.

'Yeah yeah ' Elizabeth waved it off.

'I'll sleep on it okay? Now PLEASE lets talk about what happened to you today!' Elizabeth said while plumping on the bed.

'Well what is there to tell. He saved you so I didn't think he deserved to hang. But well that turned against me ' I replied dryly while putting my hair up.

'But wasn't it scary Rose? He was so close and had a gun against your head.' Elizabeth fought back to get more answers.

'Well I don't know.. He smelled funny and I really didn't like the fact that he cocked his gun against my head. But I did like that he was to smart for Norrington' I said with a small smirk.

'But well I'm happy they caught him. ' I said while getting back to the bed.

But before I could even reach the bed I heard an enormous explosion.

'What the hell?' I said and Both Elizabeth and I were running up to the window. There was a ship in the middle of the port. A ship with black sails.

'Liz.. It has black sails.. and It sails with a pirate flag' I said blankly and I looked in her eyes.

Elizabeth looked at me with her hands for her mouth.

'Don't do anything stupid Rose please.. ' Elizabeth pleaded.

We saw a few torches run up to the house. And I took a sprint to the hallway.

'NO DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR!' I yelled at the servant.

But I was to late he had opened the door and the pirate infront of him shot him right trough the head.

I screamed when I saw it. And they looked up at me. My eyes turning big and I runned away.

I grabbed Elizabeth's arm and pulled her with me. We locked the door behind us.

'Elizabeth what could they possibly want from us ' I asked her looking around the room.

'Go over there! ' I said to her so we run up to the bedroom.

The pirates unlocked the door and were running after us. But before they could enter the room I grabbed Elizabeth's Feet heater and I slammed it right into the pirates face. But the one right behind him grabbed the pan and tried to scare me, but I wasn't having any of it. I smirked at him and opened the lit of the pan. So all the hot coals were falling on his head. I grabbed Elizabeth and sprinted out of the room.

On the stairs one of the pirates jumped in front of us. I took Elizabeth behind me in protection and braved myself.

But then a cannonball hit the House and took an pirate downstairs with it.

Which made the pirates loose their attention to us.

I grabbed Elizabeth again and sprinted towards the dining room.

I closed the door and Elizabeth placed a girandole in the doorknobs.

'This should give us a few seconds' Elizabeth breathed.

I sprinted towards the fireplace and took the swords of the wall. But they were molted to eachother so completely useless.

'Shit' I breathed.

General POV.

The door broke open.

'Finally' the pirates cursed.

One of the pirates directly walked to an open window. But the other one stopped him and turned around.

'We know you're here puppet's

Comout!

We promise we won't hurt you ' One of the pirates almost sang.

'We will find you puppet~

You've got something of ours and it calls to us.

The gold calls to us'

Elizabeth and Rosemary were hiding in the closet and Rosemary looked at Elizabeth she had no clue what they were talking about.

But Elizabeth was looking at the necklace around her neck. And the pieces clicked for Rosemary. She tapped on Elizabeth shoulders and mouthed ' What the fuck do you got Liz?!'

All of a sudden the small light the girls saw in the closet went dark. And they looked up.

'Ello Puppet~ ' The pirates pulled open the door and cocked a gun at us.

But Elizabeth was faster and screamed ' PARLEY' Rosemary as confused as ever. Didn't understand a word from what was going on.

'What?' the pirate asked

'Parley. I invoke the right of parley.

According to the code of the Brethren set down by the pirates Morgan and Bartholomew you have to take me to your captain. ' Elizabeth brought out.

'Did you guys know that? ' Rosemary asked with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

'Cause I sure as hell didn't'

' I know the code' one of the pirates spat at her.

'You can do no harm until the parley is complete' Elizabeth stated

'To hell with Parley' The second pirate said while pointing his sword at Elizabeth.

Rosemary sat up, to walk infront of Elizabeth.

'She wants to be taken to the captain' the other pirate said and blocked his sword

'And she'll go without a fuss.

Because we must honor the code.' He said with a dirty smirk on his lips.

Rosemary's POV

They pulled Elizabeth out of the closet before I could pull her back to me.

The other pirate was a bit dull. Dirty for sure but his face stood friendly but looked horrifying with an fake eye.

He was looking at me with another dirty smirk

'Do we take this lass to?' he asked the other pirate who was small and chubby with dirty long wavy hair.

'The more the merrier is what the captain would say' he answered.

The pirate with the wooden eye pulled on my arm. But I wasn't about to go down without a fuss. So when he pulled me closer to him I spat in his face.

He was about to slap me for it. When the chubby pirate stomped on his toe.

'We can't do them any harm you dimwitted'he cursed at him. And pulled Elizabeth out of the house.

The other pirate followed him with me he didn't look like much but he had a strong pull and an horrendous smell.

We were pulled to the port. Where all the pirates came together to get into their dinghies. And they pushed me and Elizabeth in one. Next to each other we were rowed towards the huge pirateship. It was old and the sails were black with holes in it. It looked really piratey and it gave me the rills.

Elizabeth squeezed in my hand. And I looked up towards the ship.

This was the ship everyone talked about. It was like a myth. No one had ever seen this ship.

Except for her dad. He once got away and told me everything about it.

But one day Mr. Swann came to our house and told me and my mom that my dad's ship had been taken down. By nothing less then a pirateship with black sails.

When I was younger I swore to everyone I would get my revenge some day. But the older I got the more I understood that I could never find this ship nor would I be good enough to fight the pirates on the ship.

But now I was about to be taken to this ship. To the captain none the less. The captain who killed my father.

I felt Elizabeth squeeze in my hand again. And I looked up she motioned to get up because apparently we were already at the ship.

We climbed up on the deck.

It was an chaotic mess everyone was shouting and pulling up gold and silver and food on the ship. I saw them walking around with the glasses we used for when the fancy people would come dine at the Swann household.

I looked over my shoulder when we were pulled aboard. And saw someone on the upper deck. A monkey on his shoulder. And a huge hat on his head. That must be the captain I thought to myself.

' I didn't know we was takin' on captives.' A man with a lot of scars on his face told the two pirates that captured us.

'She's invoked the right of parley with Captain Barbossa.' The small chubby one replied.

Elizabeth stepped forward. ' I am here to.' She couldn't finish her sentence when the man with scars slapped her across her cheeks.

' You will speak when spoken to.'

I wringed myself out of the grip of the pirate holding me. And walked up to the man who just slapped Elizabeth. But before I could even open my mouth someone took a hold of his hand.

'And you will not lay a hand on those under the protection of parley.' The figure with the monkey and hat said.

'Aye, sir.' The scarred faced man said.

The man with the big hat let go of him and pushed him out of the way

'My apologies, miss' He said to Elizabeth. and looked the both of us up and down.

'Captain Barbossa, I am here to negotiate.

I am here to negotiate the cessation of hostilities against Port Royal.' Elizabeth said with her head up high.

Me confused as hell stood next to her and nodded my head in agreement.

'There were a lot of long words there, miss.

We're not but humble pirates.

What is it that you want? ' He asked Elizabeth with a glint in his eyes.

' We want you to leave and never come back.' I spat at him

The pirates around us started laughing and chuckling soflty.

'I'm disinclined to acquiesce to you request' he replied to me.

' Means "no" ' he added to his sentence.

'Very well' Elizabeth said. She pushed me out of her way and walked to the side of the ship.

'I'll drop it' She said.

The pirates all walked a bit closer to Elizabeth in shock.

Elizabeth was holding an golden necklace with a golden amulet on it.

'Am I the only one not getting this? ' I asked myself under my breath.

' Me holds are burstin' with swag. That bit of shine matters to us? Why? ' he said directly to Elizabeth. But you could see the serious look in his eyes.

'Its what you've been searching for. I recognized this ship.

I saw it eight years ago on the crossing from England.' She said to them with a little bit of panic under her breath.

I was still standing there in between the pirates and Elizabeth. I still think I missed a few steps here. When did she even see this ship on our voyage to Port Royal and why did she not even tell me this.

'Did you now?' Barbossa asked

' Fine' Elizabeth replied coldly

'I suppose that if it is worthless there's no point in me keeping it.'

Elizabeth let the necklace drop a bit. But not completely.

'NO' all the pirates jumped a step forwards to Elizabeth.

Which made me take a step back.

Barbossa let out a chuckle while walking towards Elizabeth and me.

Elizabeth rolled the necklace up and pushed it back in her pocket.

' You have names missy's? ' He asked just a bit to polite.

'Elizabeth Turner' Elizabeth fastly said.

I'm a maid in the governor's household.

Barbossa nodded and turned around.

'Miss Turner' which made the whole crew chuckle and whisper.

'And you Lass' He turned around looking me up and down.

'Rosemary.. Rosemary Rivers' I let my real name roll of my tongue.

Barbossa's eyes lit up.

'Rivers you say Girl?' Barbossa put his finger under my chin and lifted it up.

'I can see the same glint in your eyes. The same glint your father had when I pierced my sword through his stomach' He said with a smirk on his face.

That was it. I snickered.

'Did he now?' I asked captain Barbossa.

'Well then he wasn't afraid of you. ' His smirk disappeared and I smirked and was about to slap him in his face. When he took a hold of my hand.

'Hah just as smartmouthed as your father' he said with a more serious face.

'But how does a maid come to own a necklace such as that?

Family Heirloom, I suppose?'

'I didn't steal it, if that's what you mean.' Elizabeth snapped back.

'Very well, You hand It over and we'll put your town to our rudder and ne'er return.' Barbossa sticked his filthy hand out in front of Elizabeth.

I saw Elizabeth think about it. But she gave the necklace over to Barbossa.

Who gave it to the monkey on his shoulder. Which when he got it took a run for it.

'Our bargain?' Elizabeth started.

Barbossa nodded to his men and walked off.

'Still the guns and stow 'em.

Signal the men and make good to clear port.' The man with scars on his face ordered around.

'WAIT!' Elizabeth yelled to Barbossa

'You have to take us to shorte! According to the pirate code of the order of the brethren'

'FIRST, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement, so I MUST not do nothing.

And secondly you must be a pirate for the Pirates' code to apply, and you're not.

And thirdly, the code is more of what you'd call guidelines than actual rules' he nodded happily to himself.

'You son of a.. ' I screamed and ran forward to him.

I got a sword out of a pirate his belt and walked up to him.

'Take us to shore NOW' I barked at Barbossa.

Who smirked at me.

'Well well Miss Rivers.

Just like your father you try to stand up to me.

I hate to do this because you really are a sight for the eye.

But you leave me no other choice' He said with an even wider smirk. As he nodded and before I knew it two of his men had picked me up and without any pardon threw me over board.

I screamed for dear life. And cursed the whole crew with words I had never used before.

I could only hear him say.

' Welcome aboard the Black pearl, Miss Turner.'

'ELIZABETH' I screamed to her. But I couldn't reach the ship.

And after that everything went black.
