nct dream as boy/girl dads ... 👼🏻⭐️

mark who still maintains his insane working hours and practicing late into the night even when he has his two favorite girls waiting back home (and it makes him feel terrible). he comes home when it's way past your daughter's bedtime and you're always still waiting for him even when it's three am in the morning. when the day breaks his daughter thinks she's being very quiet but she's quite clumsy as she steps all over his legs while she climbs onto the bed to wake him up. he blows raspberries onto the baby's cheeks as he trudges into the kitchen, pressing a sweet kiss to your shoulder as a thank you for the pancakes.

renjun who simply cannot contain his excitement when his daughter's painting is selected for an award in the school art competition. he brags about her drawings all the time to his parents, his friends, the elderly woman who bags his groceries. he says she got it from him. it's quite right. he cheers the loudest when her name is called, even blinks some pesky tears away (something you make sure to make fun of when you're in the car later on) when his sweet girl comes up on stage to accept her certificate and take a picture, in the dress she picked out with his help because it's a very special day.

if you ever asked jeno what he kept in his bag then you would (or would not) be surprised at the endless amount of candy and sugary treats he pulls out of it that he keeps for both himself and your daughter. it's clear where she got her sweet tooth from. usagi transforms into sailor moon on the television screen, your daughter astrode on his lap, each of them holding a pink spoon and taking turns scooping bites of cookies 'n cream and macademia into their mouths. you collapse onto the sofa with an exaggerated sigh once you finish dishes duty, your head falling into the unoccupied crook of jeno's neck. your daughter swings a spoonful of ice cream towards your mouth, calling it a reward for working hard "because daddy always does it" and you accept with a giggle.

donghyuck drums his fingers on the steering wheel to the soundtrack of moana, occasionally peeking to the back to check on his sleeping girl tucked into the car seat. he keeps a hand nestled into her soft locks as he steers her towards where you said you'd be waiting at the department store, making a very important decision on whether you should get the white or sage green kitten heels for your cousin's wedding in jeju next month. your daughter then pops on a pair of oversized celine sunglasses, and it's too funny and adorable that the salesgirl was giving the three of you the stink eye for making such a ruckus in the store. he pays for it anyways, because he'll probably steal it for himself for when he has to be at the airport at early hours to leave for an overseas schedule or concert.

jaemin tries his best, really. he just can't help it when he sees luke sitting by his son as he draws on the coffee table. you can't expect him to bake the chocolate chip cookies, watch for stains on the oak from your son's oil pastels and feed all three cats at once. he doesn't know how you do it. luckily the cookies don't burn in the oven, he puts down parchment so the oak table is safe, and all cats are soothed by your son's magic touch and gentle pressing hand. when you notice a speck of oil pastel in their furs later on you only sigh and make a call to the salon to get them a bath, noticing their claws have been getting too long to the point they can mar your precious boys' skin.

you raise a hand to shield your eyes from the blaring sunlight, the piercing rays making chenle and your son look like mere sillhouettes as they zip around the court, the boinking sound of the basketball echoing in the park that's not too crowded for a friday morning. you can tell he's being much more gentle and a lot slower than he usually does for your son, fixing his stances and the grip of his fingers on the ball as he demonstrates a three pointer. your son joyfully claps everytime he shoots, and he ruffles his hair as a thank you. he calls out to you, demanding his congratulations kiss, but there is no way you're even going to come close to two very sweaty boys under the sweltering august heat.

your son actually prefers jisung to read him the bedtime stories he keeps in his shelf. he tucks him into the crook of his arm, whispering gently of the boy who discovers a treasure box in the forest and goes on an adventure with his pet hamster. his voice is too low to catch over the running of the sink as you remove your makeup, secretly wishing your son would fall asleep faster so that you can brush your teeth together. you watch from the doorway as he very carefully detaches himself from your son's side to slip the book back into its place on the bookshelf, tuck the sheets up to his chin, and place a gentle kiss to his forehead before he clicks the star shaped light off and his arm comes up to circle around your waist, pressing you against the wall to collect his kiss that tastes like peppermint toothpaste and your scent he can never get enough of.

00 - THE FOOL Sora is the most foolish of innocents, especially when he leaves his fate to the machinations of others. And when he does have his own agency he tends to be too reckless and headstrong. Of course his inherit knuckleheaded nature can be his best quality, pulling out an unexpected surprise that not even the most carefully calculating villain can possibly account for. And since the beginning of his quest, he's never really needed the conventional outdated wisdom of so called "Masters", he has always forged his own path.

01 - THE MAGICIAN It is no secret that Tony Stark is a creative genius. After all he was able to develop a revolutionary perpetual energy reactor the size of a human hand in a cave with but a bunch of scraps. Is it any surprise he was even able to casually discover time travel whilst in his pajamas? And don't even get me started on all the razzle dazzle he tends to put on his wonderful toys. Guess the line between science and magic truly is a razor thin one....

02 - THE HIGH PRIESTESS The knowledge of what the future holds is something reserved for God, but alas such knowledge has been dropped right onto Tsukino Usagi’s lap. Her marriage to Mamoru, the existence of her future daughter Chibiusa, the fated ascension to Neo Queen Serenity and the rise of Silver Millennium. All just dumped before a high school student who is already having trouble just trying to graduate. It is a lot to unpack and Usagi must now prepare herself to take on the inevitable burdens before her. To trust her instincts and learn from her past mistakes. She has a lot to learn ahead of her and not as much time as she thinks she has to do it….

03 - THE EMPRESS For what else is the Princess of Friendship but a surrogate mother? What else are the people of her kingdom but her adopted children? They are not subjects to be ruled, they are her family. This is why Twilight Sparkle ascended to the heights of an alicorn, to uphold the responsibility of being a parent.

04 - THE EMPEROR There is no question his allies and friends look to him as a "leader", though that is more because of him being the biggest fish among them and their resulting dependance on his power. And as a father figure? Well, it is quite telling that his most defining act as a father to his son Gohan is a last ditch effort to fix the mess he created himself. But hey, better to be the father that sacrifices himself to save their child than the one that leaves them to die in the lion's den....

05 - THE HIEROPHANT As Bruce Wayne, his political influence upon the world is limited to the amount of charity money he can dish out, still having to abide by the system that puts him in the one percent. People just don't take him seriously enough to listen. But as the Batman, he can move droves of people with action. His battle against crime garnering the respect of even the police, those that faced his judgement have no choice but to heed his words. The cape and cowl is unbound by the petty status quo of society, he has no strings to hold him back. Everyone listens to the bat.

06 - THE LOVERS The Freedom Fighters don't just have one heart, they have two. Sally Acorn, the one to think up the plan of action. Sonic the Hedgehog, the one to take action. Two halves of the same singular ray of hope to guide the rag tag group of resistance to victory. Though they do not think alike (and can sometimes get on each other's nerves) they are still harmonized, able to work together at the most dire of straights. With only one of them, the Freedom Fighters are compromised, without both they are lost....

07 - THE CHARIOT The four Ninja Turtles were taught ninjitsu purely to survive in a world that would not accept them, told to stay in the shadows where it is safe. But perhaps because of their excess of superhero comic books or just their mutant ability to feel empathy, they cannot help but jump into action when someone is in trouble. They are always tapping into that most primordial of heroic traits, the will to act.

08 - STRENGTH It takes more than just "strength" alone to tame an eldritch horror like the Bird of Hermes. Whatever the bird sees in this one Integra Hellsing it has formed a bond that cannot be truly explained.....perhaps it is not as simple as a monster recognizing her as a strong human being? Perhaps....he sees her as a similar breed of monster?

09 - THE HERMIT There are those that work alone and then there's the self proclaimed "Terror that Flaps in the Night". So intent on doing things his way, so hellbent on getting all the glory, so desperate to prove himself to the world that the very idea of getting help from others ruffles his feathers. Of course he is not above having a sidekick but that is more someone doing things his way and not stealing his spotlight...

10 - THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE Many are at the mercy of fate, but none are quite as vulnerable to it as Matoi Ryuko. Her luck flip flops between good and bad so often that it's hard to tell if fate favors her or is out to get her. Sometimes it feels like she loses more than she wins. Not helping matters is how she is at the forefront of destiny, one of the few among the many that are the most important players for what destiny has in store. Lucky her....

11 - JUSTICE Diana of Themyscira doesn't just embody truth, she is the Spirit of Truth. Thus is her mission, to bring truth to the world of man, to be a guiding light towards peace and prosperity......a task that becomes increasingly difficult and nigh impossible with each passing year. Luckily, no task is too daunting for an Amazon, and no matter how long it takes she will bring man to a better place than it is right now...

12 - THE HANGED MAN Kurosaki Ichigo is not the hero he should be, no, he is more of a plot device. A pawn used by both ally and enemy, not allowed to have any real agency of his own. A slave of fate caught in the same loop of trying to be a hero, fail miserably, go through "training" to receive new strength, fail again, deus ex machina just giving him the win. It's like whatever god is willing the stars of his universe is an incompetent who has no real concept of how the hero's journey is suppose to go. And what other choice does he have but to surrender to the cycle? His constant self sacrificing is what keeps the world spinning. And of nothing else at least he gets to keep becoming a better Ichigo than he was before right? Right?

13 - DEATH Optimus Prime is well acquainted with the concept of change, is it after all hard wired into his very race's biology. But more than that, his years in perpetual war have shown him plenty endings and new beginnings, perhaps more of the former than the latter. And so long as he lives he will always be in the very company of death itself, looming over him, his allies and his enemies. Such is the nature of war.

14 - TEMPERANCE How long has Kiryuin Satsuki waited until she could finally be free of her vile mother? How much longer would she have waited to finally avenge her father? She waited years of her life for one moment to finally drive her blade through that vile woman, she didn't care if she succeeded or failed she has waiting for that moment long enough. And it seems that though her attempt did fail, that evil woman met her just deserts regardless, in the end fate still saw fit to reward Satsuki's patience.

15 - THE DEVIL Thanos is a very sick man. He is driven by his obsessions and desires, trying to hand wave it as "inevitability" or "higher purpose" when really it is but his own selfishness running rampant. And in his delusion he insists that the greater universe abides by his desire, worse even share in it. No matter how much he tries to change or has seemingly learned his lesson, he'll relapse in no time at all, going right back to his genocidal addiction. He truly is a lost cause....

16 - THE TOWER Uchiha Sasuke acts like he's the only one suffering, that his pain is more important than everyone else's. As such he pays no heed to that which he ruins or those that he hurts. Everything he touches, he destroys. Enemies, allies, friends, it matters not so long as he can get what he wants....which is constantly switching out. One minute he wants to get revenge on his brother, the next he wants to avenge him, and then he wants to be the one Hokage to "break the cycle of war". Whatever, he's always spin doctoring the horrible things he does to have some "deeper meaning" like he were a far right politician rewriting the bible. One has to wonder if he truly wants to use the darkness to bring about "positive change", if you ask me, he merely loves causing misery.

17 - THE STAR Sometimes it's easy to lose hope, just ask Peter Parker. Too many times it feels like no matter how hard he tries, even with spider powers his best is just not good enough. Most seem to believe so, most see him more as a menace doing more harm than good, especially Jameson. It's easy to forget what one is fighting for.....but then in his most dire moments, he can hear Uncle Ben's voice in his head telling him to not give up. Telling him about the few that do look upon the friendly neighborhood Spider Man as a symbol of hope, a star to look towards even when all other lights dim. And like that his strength returns to him, like that he gets back up and keeps fighting.

18 - THE MOON Ryoko Hakubi is both beauty and beast in one being. Not only does her power inspire fear, so too does her temperament whenever her pin is pulled. And even aside from that, she is one mystery after another, never will you truly understand how her mind or heart works. And not helping matters is her fluctuating moral compass that is comparable to mood swings. You'd have better luck figuring out women that you'd have trying to figure her out.

19 - THE SUN It's hard not to see that giant burning ball of gas as but a blight, a bleak reminder of the inevitable. But for the Last Son of Krypton, it is the source of his power. His true power, the power known as the best in humanity. That big Red S that shines like that very star inspires all to be the best they can be, igniting hearts with the strength to stand tall and proud even if they are not the strongest. Even if not everyone can be like Superman, anyone can be that which lights the darkness, anyone can be a hero.

20 - JUDGEMENT To become a Power Ranger is to be reborn into something beyond a mere human. To be infused with power for the sole purpose of answering the call to arms. Only a select few ever get to wear this mantle, and those that do must take up the fight against pure evil to their dying breath if necessary. As such the quality to become a Ranger is the resolve to always stand, to always get back up and never stop fighting. To be a Ranger is to be the one that has the resolve to fight the most important battle.

21 - THE WORLD So few can truly say they beat the Devil and got their soul back, but Albert Simmons is one such person. Perhaps it did not bring him the closure he was hoping for but it did bring him closure none the less. When he remembered the truth of his relationship with Wanda, remembered why exactly he was never allowed to have her back, he was finally able to let go and move on...

Something about "Lady Usagi"!!! Just does it for me every time. The setting, the plot twist reveal, the earnest care between them! I love it.

💝 “Ghost (touch)” by @linisen - Rated E, Soulmates/Modern AU, One-shot. A soulmate AU where you feel where the other person is touching their body and thinking about you - like a ghost touch

I love how the two of them get closer over time despite the fact they they've never seen each other. This fic is so precious.

💝 "Tales of Two Ninjas" by @magmawrites - Rated M, Various AU, Series of unrelated one-shots. A series of unrelated short snippets and one-shots centered around Naruto and Hinata and their past, present and future.

The summary says short snippets, but that's not true for most of them. Many of the one-shots are LONG. My favorite is the Master Servant AU, but all of them are amazing.

I just love how deranged the characters are, and how everything develops perfectly and exactly how Hinata wants. Such a perfect fic.

💝 "Too Lost in You" by chloelapomme - Rated E, Royalty / High Fantasy AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. An insight into the arranged marriage between the heir of the Uzushio King, Naruto Uzumaki, and the eldest daughter of the Hyuuga house, Hinata Hyuuga.

Good kinky stuff, but also it's cute????? I love that for them. They are a happily married couple!!

💝 “I want you to cry” by Devahhole - Rated E for a ton of things like graphic murder, High School AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. A sociopath blinded by revenge runs into his greatest opponent.

that bj scene. the part where Naruto is telling Hinata that he wants her to cry for him. I die for that scene. It's like art to me.

💝 “If You are the Sun I’ll be the Moon” by vinczu - Rated T, Modern Soulmate AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Hinata is afraid, she really is. Naruto after three years of military service is finally back, and she is happy. She really is. But she can’t touch him, she just can’t what if he isn’t her soulmate. What if he is.

This fic is pure gold. Everything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pining is top tier, I'm telling you.

💝 “Stay” by @nightowl27-writer - Rated E, Supernatural/Mystery AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Hinata is a young reporter looking for her first big break. A mysterious fire at the infamous and abandoned Farmhouse has the potential to be a big story. Thanks to the help of a hot firefighter named Naruto, Hinata finds out much more than she ever wanted to know.

Hello friend! Thank you for dropping by and giving me a prompt to gush on Reinako even more! XD

Timeline/stages of life of the Reinako development:

Following directly after the Final Act, during the girls' 3rd year in middle school, Minako was a bit awkward about how to act casually around the Senshi team. Rei helped her out the most before the group dynamic fully settled - e.g. never stopped inviting Minako even if Minako often needed to miss out on group plans due to work without making Minako feel bad (not that the others intentionally make Minako feel guilty, but they just try too hard, versus Rei doesn't make a big deal about it); calling Minako out when Minako holds back on sharing her candid thoughts or feelings with the team for some silly reason or due to occupational hazard of being an idol; calling Makoto and Usagi out when they fangirl too hard and was making Minako feel awkward, making it a struggling for Minako to balance building a genuine friendship or treat them as fangirls. (Ami was also a bit shy with Minako at the start, so Rei had to run some interference there, but Usagi and Makoto were the troublemakers.)

I struggle to make up my mind on which is the better high school scenario: if Minako went to Juuban with Ami, Makoto and Usagi just like manga canon, or because of her fame and celebrity status she ended up going to T*A academy for high school with Rei (better security because of all the politician’s and big businessmen’s daughters in the school, etc), Regardless, high school period is when Rei and Minako really settled as best friends, getting to the point they practically know everything about each other and would be in contact almost everyday.

By the 3rd year of high school approaching graduation, Minako starts to realize she has romantic feelings for Rei. She suspects Rei might actually reciprocate her feelings, except Rei is too dense to realize or too scarred by his dad's abandonment of Rei and Rei's mom to consider exploring a romantic relationship. Knowing both Rei's and her own career trajectory would take them away from Tokyo with limited contact after graduation, Minako decided to not broach the topic.

Rei and Minako drifted apart a bit after high school graduation until the Special Act. After the kiss at the hospital (see Headcanon Part 1), and then UsaMamo's wedding, they both matured enough to face their feelings and started seriously considering starting a relationship. They had to do a lot of soul-searching and shared really candid conversations to get through all the emotional baggage, personal barriers and doubts they both carried, but they eventually got there.

And then they live happily ever after following what I described in Headcanon Part 2. haha (My actual headcanon of post-Special Act Reinako is drastically different from my fanfic, coz apparently I thrive most in writing angst and battle. LOL)

High school era PGSM Reinako:

While Rei took the lead in helping Minako find her place in the Senshi team dynamic and getting comfortable with just being a normal teenager during their middle-school period, Minako was the one that instigated most if not all the shenanigans that led to their deepened friendship in the 3 years of high school, elevating their relationship from just-friends to best friend status.

I always imagined Minako pranked Rei by surprising her on a school visit at T*A to "check out options for a new high school". Minako and her manager Saitou Sugao are being led on a school tour by a nun, and when they spot Rei, Sugao (who is of course in on the prank with Minako) makes a whole scene of barging into the classroom trying to scout Rei into stardom in front of all of Rei's peers as if it's his first time meeting Rei and exclaiming he has found the next shining star of Japan, after Minako of course! Rei was absolutely mortified, though the Senshi team had a great laugh when Minako shared the story in their next hangout. Rei was not pleased.

Following the above headcanon, I headcanon that Rei achieves the same intra-school celebrity status by the time she enters her high school division, similar to how Rei is a school celebrity in T*A in the manga. The drastic change from live-action canon was first prompted by the whole stardom scouting fiasco Minako and Sugao caused. Secondly, Minako learned by chance that Rei was bullied at school throughout middle school through Usagi describing how she met Rei. When Minako confronted Rei about it, Rei just shrugged and brushed it off coz she was used to it and the bullies are practically harmless with more bark than bite, but Minako was still so upset about it that she went to post on her public blog (equivalent to celebrity Twitter/Insta nowadays) about how Rei's her best friend and the coolest, kindest person who helped her get through her illness and recovery, etc. She wrote a whole sob story narrative about how thankful she is for having Rei in her life and how Rei was a source of inspiration and a role model to her, etc. etc. and posted some photos she had taken with Rei. Suddenly all of Rei's peers see Rei in a new light and think she's the coolest and want to befriend her for a chance to also meet Minako. The teachers started actually addressing and punishing the bullies and the school atmosphere was changed anew. The whole deal freaked Rei out, while Minako felt very pleased with herself.

Once Rei joined the archery club in T*A's high school division, she gained even more fame from winning archery competitions at the district and then national level. Her achievement adds to the furor Minako caused, and the lowerclassmen in T*A practically fawn over Rei and founded a fan club with merch. Minako loves teasing Rei about it and secretly becomes a fan club member with platinum status from buying all the merch.

^ The fan club is how Minako knows Rei's archery competition schedule, coz Rei is too humble to ever mention it, and also because every time she gets way too embarrassed by how loud the Senshi team is when they cheer for her, because Minako makes sure the whole Senshi team is decked out with inflated thunder sticks and signs whenever they go cheer for Rei at competitions.

Other misc PGSM Reinako headcanon:

Rei's the one who always remembers and is mindful of Minako's distaste for whipped cream, and stops Usagi's rampage on getting strawberry shortcake for every Christmas because Usagi always reminisces on the cake she and Minako had on the Ferris wheel and forgets Minako’s actual food preference. Rei knew coz she actually paid attention to the lyrics in Sayonara ~Sweet Days.

It's very often Usagi and Makoto would drag the girls around town to try out a new cafe or shop that's selling some new sweet drink, pastry or snack (shaved ice, ice cream, crepe, cake, etc. the stuff you'd see people post on foodie social media). If Minako ever bows out of getting something for herself, Rei will make sure to buy something she knows Minako will likely enjoy so Minako can share some of hers (usually strawberry-flavoured coz that's Minako's favourite), and without fail Minako would take some of Rei’s 'just for a taste because she’s curious', and then inevitably eating half of Rei’s. lol And if Rei is buying something for Minako or knows Minako will inevitably take some from her, Rei would always also buy a bottle of water to accompany whatever crazy sweet things Usagi makes them eat/drink - and it has to be room temperature only, for Minako because Minako needs to be very careful with maintaining her vocal cords for singing.

Whenever Minako and Rei get into a serious fight but both struggle to reconcile, they both would separately go to Artemis and poor Artemis can usually help them sort it out after. But if things get really bad and they notice Artemis is feeling caught in the crossfire, Minako would then go to Makoto, and Rei would go to Ami to process their thoughts... or vent. Makoto and Ami's involvement becomes a yardstick of whether "shit's-hitting-the-fan" or not.

Manga Reinako Headcanon...?

I've not thought as much about the manga Reinako headcanon because I perpetually live in PGSM brainrot. But I do think manga Reinako eventually established a partners-for-life relationship in the manga universe as well.

Different from how I think PGSM Reinako eventually enters an openly romantic, crazy-in-love-for-each-other relationship (once they get over their personal crap), I see manga Reinako has a more subtle and delicate soulmate relationship that is built on deep partnership and mutual understanding in life and duty, especially considering their near immortality and role in Crystal Tokyo. Their relationship dances back and forth on the line of being romantic involved in their personal life, and being a kind of kindred spirit in their view and attitude towards their duty. They've dated, and fallen in love with each other, but across the years also realize sometimes they need space from each other to maintain healthy boundaries between private life and their duty. When they enter a break from each other, it's nothing bad and always with mutual understanding, done amicably - stepping away so they don't get "sick of each other" since eternity is a damn long time! But if one of them is ever feeling down or struggling with something, they are each other's default go-to person, their safe place, and they can discard their masks and break when they need it, especially when they start outliving their non-Senshi family and friends while the world they know of slowly changing and morphing into Crystal Tokyo.

Once they stopped aging, Minako would still try to find opportunities to enjoy life as a human when it's possible, while Rei was more comfortable just accepting fate and being Sailor Mars for life. When there's no crisis to deal with, Minako makes Rei de-transform and drags Rei out of the palace for a girls' night with her in the city.

I see manga MakoAmi to have a similar partnership as well. Though their way of showing affection for their partner is a bit more overt and less complicated than Reinako's. Rei and Minako are so interesting to me because I feel they are more polar opposites in some ways, yet both are so similar in how deeply layered their personality and backstories are that it complicates their relationship but also strengthens them.

Luna wasn't sure how much more of this she could stand. The frankly rude and unnecessary comments that everyone made to her princess, the snide looks and remarks that had her claws coming out, and the fact that she was trying not to talk around them too openly in order to make them think they were nuts.

"Why do you have to be so useless!" Oh hell no. That was it. She was done with that uppity brat that her princess had to call a sister.

Leaping from the railing with grace Luna transformed before she hit the ground and still landed with all her feline grace.

"Back away from the princess this instant." Luna said coldly as she strode forward with all the poise and grace that belonged to a royal advisor and spy.

Isabella startled as she jerked around to look at Luna who glared her down with a glare that she had long perfected and would quell even the senshi at their rowdiest.

"Come Princess. Let's get you and the prince away from such a horrid person." Luna swept past Isabella without a second glance as she took Antonio into one arm and pulled the Princess in close with the other.

It was only the babe in her arm and the thought of getting her princess away from this horridly spoilt child that kept Luna from unsheathing her claws when her Princess gripped her dress and looked close to tears.

Luna had been with Usagi throughout all her lives as a secondary mother figure, royal advisor, spy, tutor, and guard. She had been there when her charge had her children. Been there for her charge when her children perished and reborn.

If she didn't have her millennium of experience staying her tongue she'd have slipped and called her Queen her daughter, and these two precious children her grand kittens.

And Luna was protective, just as much as any senshi if not more.

So the almost eleven year old clutching her dress like a frightened child and near tears because of a spoilt brat? That got Luna's wrath rearing it's head.

Mirabel stared up at Luna awed as she blinked back her tears. She had never seen Luna's human form before.

"Wow... you're so pretty Luna." Mirabel said softly and Luna smiled gently at her.

"Thank you princess. Now let's go. I'm sure the Queen and the Senshi won't mind us stopping by." Luna said guiding her little princess away. And if it gave her a chance to visit the training rooms and work out her irritation and wrath that had built up ever since she stayed to tutor the princess? Well it was long overdue.

Shoutout to her for standing up to Isabela. I’m surprised she didn’t do it sooner, but I guess she was trying to keep the peace 😭 good for her though, and good for Mirabel. Antonio is pretty much just. Cruising with everyone. Bros just vibing 🦈

Also grandkittens, sobbing. Imagine how excited Usagi was when she found out Mirabel had been reincarnated. Like in every reincarnation, she never lived past 30, and never by natural causes (is sickness a natu cause?? Dunno). Like burning at the stake, killed in war?? Antonio died super young in his first life too, along with Mirabel, that being sickness. Like she must’ve been devestated every time, and Luna was there to held her down and keep her sane 😭 she always outlived them.

And it was mentioned it never got easier, so imagine how depressed she was in the time she was waiting for the news that they had finally been reborn 🌚

Crystal Season 3 made a few changes regarding the last 2 acts of Infinity. And tbh, I don't hate them.

First there is the scene where Usagi sacrifices herself to take down Pharoh90 from the inside.

Manga:

So the changes:

I've mentioned in a previous post that this is one of the only times Mamoru is shown to have cried in the manga. I can only think of two others. First when Pluto was dying in the 30th Century (though that was specifically King Endymion) and second when Helios sacrifices himself to use Elysium's last bit of power.

Well Crystal doesn't let Mamo shed any tears in this scene. At all. And he also doesn't cling to Chibiusa. But he also doesn't revert back to calling out "Usako" which I'm gonna say works since that is the absolute last time Mamo calls her that for the remainder of the series and omitting it doesn't make or break a thing.

In addition, in the manga Chibiusa's cry of "Mama!" Isn't quite the one in Crystal where she screams it out. Its more like she's choked up by her tears and its a weaker cry.

And they do the exact same thing with Pluto. Saturn sacrifices herself to banish Pharoh90, and in the manga Pluto screams Saturn's name and cries out. But in Crystal Chibiusa is the one who does.

The reason I don't hate these changes is because In Chibiusa's case, they benefit her relationship with Usagi as her future daughter, and Hotaru/Saturn as her best friend. In Pluto's case, it kinda didn't make much sense that Pluto would have such a strong reaction as that considering the majority of the arc she was in support of Uranus and Neptune killing Hotaru.

Changes:

Dunno why, but Mamo is just utterly confused at what he's seeing. And the relief and smile he showed in the manga was just given to Chibiusa.

Mamo is done dirty here though. And sadly, I think that is the case for all of season 3.

Lastly, I've seen some people mention that Norma is bisexual for their propaganda, but so is Usagi! Yes, she ends up with Mamoru, however throughout the series and the manga she develops numerous crushes on women. Haruka, the character above, is one of the examples. She also very commonly remarks on other women's attractiveness throughout the series.

And while the anime (especially 90s version) hid Usagi's queerness, the original manga shows many instances of her crushing on girls.

Lastly, no matter if you're a die hard Sailor Moon fan or someone who watched Sailor Moon as a kid, her cultural impact is undeniable. Sailor Moon is one of the most iconic, one of the best written, characters ever created. She led to the modern resurgence of currently popular pop culture themes such as first love, personalification of celestial bodies, powerful women in media, fashion trends from the 90s to today. And while several characters had wonderful style, Usagi's was the most influential of them all:

She influenced 90s comeback, high chromatic clothing, preppy style sweaters and crop tops, full pastel, big cropped denim jackets on top of preppier styles, and overall femme styles.

Her influence also shines through fansites that have been running for decades.

But didn't 90's Usagi give the Holy Gail to Mistress 90 and the only two people that called her out on it was Har/Mic meanwhile the other four acted like she was right on that decision and didn't call her out on it?

Like her decision could have destroyed the whole world and Saturn saved her ass big time?

Which she suffered no consequence from her decision?

Meanwhile Manga/Crystal Usagi made the decision to use the Chalice and the Silver Crystal inside of P90 because she saw how hard her friends fought and she wanted to protect them as much as they was protecting her??

I mean Manga Usagi was jealous of a child who she later found her was her daughter and called herself out on it. She knew she was wrong to be jealous of Chibiusa and realized that Mamoru was protecting Chibiusa so she can save the world. She grew out of it and her and Chibiusa developed a bond.

I am still trying to wrap my head around how the hell anyone see Manga Usagi as not flawed.

This was girl was crying and running with her head cut off at her first fight.

I just mention that she got fucking jealous at a child because that child was getting some attention from her new boyfriend.

But she grows.

She fucking grows.

Her creator allows her to fucking grow.

Meanwhile in the 90's anime they refused to let her grow a fucking inch and kept her the same for 200 episodes.

Fuck it Venus and Jennika are getting adding to SSDF

(Leo needs more daughters, and some soul crushing guilt that he wasnt able to save them from Draxum because he didnt even SEE them they were hidden too far up to be visible and with the building collapsing he didnt have time to stick and check or he and the babies would all die.)

So lets talk about them :)

Venus is the actual eldest at 16 (she's a year older than Rafa) by the time Leo actually meets her in Many Unhappy Returns she will have just turned 17 (the same age Leo was when he suddenly became a father of six four) she's a striped mud turtle and Big Mama's assistant.

She was found in Draxum's ruined lab when Big Mama's bellhops went investigating what had happened. However there was somebody already there. A white rabbit yokai, dressed in Samurai garb. He was holding two tiny little turtle mutants in his arms, trying to gently calm them down.

The bellhops attacked the Rabbit, managing to steal one of babies and brutally injure the other. Leaving the rabbit no choice but to flee and get the remaining turtle medical attention in hopes of retrieving the other one.

By the time the smaller turtle was even stable enough for searching, Venus was the adopted daughter of Big Mama.

And she heard that there was another baby turtle, still alive and in the city. She accused the rabbit of stealing her daughter, offering a massive reward for her safe return.

Everyone was hunting them now.

So the rabbit took his new daughter and fled the Hidden City, fled New York all together.

Although she started out as Big Mama's beloved daughter it didnt last. Venus's combat skills grew more refined and stronger dhe becomes more and more useful as an assistant. Someone who can go on the more dangerous missions while Big Mama can sit back and run the Nexus. Someone who can protect Big Mama when potential nexus fighters refuse to sign the contract or try to attack Big Mama

And oh boy does Venus resent Big Mama for this.

That resentment only grew stronger over the years but there were two things that drove sweet Venus to eventually overthrow Big Mama

1. Jennika being forced to fight in the Battle Nexus in order to be spared from life in prison. Jennika was only nine years old when this happened, I'll touch more on this in her section.

And 2. Forcing Leo to watch his sons fight for their lives in Battle Nexus New York (it will be a lot more dangerous than in canon) especially when Rafa's fake out death happens. When Leo is screaming and begging Big Mama to just take him instead, leave his children alone. It breaks something inside Venus. And when Cassandra tries to take the ring to control the Shadow Fiend.

Venus takes it instead, giving the Shredder one command.

Destroy Big Mama, tear her apart. Leave nothing behind.

An immediate betrayal.

But Venus finds an Ally in Cassandra.

They team up, on the condition that they take Big Mama down for good. (Even though doing this would create a massive power vacuum. Big Mana was one of the most powerful and influential yokai in the hidden city. And Venus sure as hell wasnt gonna take up the mantle, opting to burn it all down instead so oh boy...)

Then there's Jennika.

A 15 year old diamondback terrapin. And out of all the children, she's the one that looks the most like Leo. (Except that she's got green eyes, just like Raph. And she acts so much like Raph too it hurts.) She's a few months younger than Rafa. She also has deep grooves in her plastron from the attack as a child.

The daughter of a Samurai Ronin named Miyamoto Usagi. The two wandered the world for most of their lives, either hiding in the hidden cities or using cloaking broaches to blend in with the humans.

Jennika or her father called her Hisa, became a highly skilled samurai. Although becoming a Samurai her fierce short temper couldnt be calmed. At least until the incident.

On their travels together in the human world, disguised by cloaking broaches when Hisa was only nine years old, Usagi had been badly hurt by a small gang, losing consciousness too quick. Hisa lost it, absolutely lost it. None of the gang members were left alive. She didn't even know how she did that! They were all bigger and stronger than her but she killed them all in a massive flood. (She was actually the first person in the family to unlock Ninpo to protect/avenge Usagi. But she hasnt been able to do it since)

But...so many people saw it, thirty gang members all dead on the ground, a nine year old human girl at the center of it. Hisa was arrested, dragged kicking and screaming away from her father and mentor, begging the police to help him.

Hisa was handed off to the FBI. Would've gone higher through the government. Until Big Mama took an interest in her. The girl was powerful, too powerful to end up in the hands of humans.

So...Big Mama paid them off, got Hisa out and offered the girl a deal. Because a yokai like herself killing that many humans by obviously supernatural means would bring attention to the Yokai and Hidden Cities, so it is very much illegal. And punishable by life in a maximum security cell in the Hidden City Prison.

The deal was simple, Hisa would work off her sentence by fighting in the Battle Nexus, she just had to sign the contract.

And well Hisa didnt have any other choice.

So for the next five years Hisa was a battle nexus fighter, barely surviving each battle by the skin of her teeth.

All the while mourning her father Usagi.

Hisa was gone, all thats left is Jennika.

But not all hope was lost for the poor girl, as during the Bug Busters episode, while the boys had Big Mama distracted, her father Usagi found her and rescued her.

Together the two fled to the mountains of Japan, hiding away from Big Mama while poor Jennika recovers from those five years of misery.

But when news of a powerful champion in the Battle Nexus reaches Japan and of a MASSIVE Battle Nexus tournament involving four mutant turtles...well the two Samurai cant ignore that, especially when those turtles look a bit like Jennika.

a star danced

Just a bit of unadulterated mother/daughter fluff sprinkled with usamamo love. Setting: any time post R season Summary: Usagi helps Chibi-usa with a problem, and tells her something no-one has told her before.

“You don’t have this much hair. Why do I have this much hair?!”

Usagi is going to be nice, she tells herself. She is going to start being kinder, wiser, more...motherly towards Chibi-usa. She is absolutely not going to laugh as her future daughter struggles to get a hairbrush unstuck from her mass of pink hair, gets it more tangled, and then snorts in frustration.

The little snort does her in, and she cackles, rocking forward with the force of it.

To be fair, I will be nicer to Chibi-usa is practically a mantra for Usagi. She makes the vow to herself at least once a week, and her personal best is four hours and thirty-one minutes.

She’s doing so good this time. She’s going to call on every bit of her that is going to be Neo-Queen Serenity one day, and she is not going to laugh. She’s going to beat her streak, she is! Chibi-usa gives her a look of annoyance that is pure Mamo-chan, and it sends Usagi into a fit of giggles all over again. This kid.

“Why are you the worst?” Chibi-usa shrieks. “I’m struggling over here!”

“No, I’m sorry, I’ll stop,” she says, covering her mouth, trying to corral her expression into something less...gleeful. The hairbrush is now completely lodged in Chibi-usa’s left pigtail, and the little cone-shaped odango is starting to come undone. “C’mere, I’ll help you get it out.”

Chibi-usa glares. Usagi stares back, doing her absolute best to not stare at the bunny hairbrush that is hopelessly stuck in Chibi-usa’s hair. Think motherly thoughts, she tells herself. Finally, small eyes still narrowed, small arms still crossed over her chest, Chibi-usa takes a few stiff steps forward and unceremoniously deposits herself cross-legged in front of Usagi with a small hmph.

To be fair, she has a lot of hair. Like a lot. Usagi has a lot of hair too, but hers is finer and more prone to tangling. The knots in Chibi-usa’s hair aren’t actually all that bad, just too high for her little arms to reach, and Usagi is able to free the hairbrush with practiced ease. That left odango is done for, though, so without really thinking about it, she removes the pins, lets Chibi-usa’s hair down, and starts the process of getting all the tangles out for good.

“I knoooow,” Usagi sing-songs a few minutes later, a smile on her lips. “Why you have so much haaaaair.”

“...you do?”

“I do,” She hums a little as she runs the brush through Chibi-usa’s thick hair, brushing the ends over the palm of her hand and watching them curl. The curl comes from her, no doubt, and she has no idea where the color comes from, but she has run her hands through hair just like this many, many times.

“You,” she says, reaching around to boop the little girl’s nose, “have Mamo-chan’s hair.”

“Really?”

She turns around eyes wide, as though no-one has ever told her she looks like her papa before.

“Mmmhmm. His is really heavy like this, too. That’s probably why your mama puts your hair in the bunny odangos. If we put it in regular ones they would be the size of your head and you might fall over.”

Chibi-usa falls dramatically backwards into her lap, sticking her tongue out at Usagi from below. They spend a few minutes making faces at each other before Usagi props her back up and continues brushing out her long hair.

“Nobody ever tells you that, huh?”

“Most of the time people say I look just like you.”

You. Not Mama. She doesn’t usually do that, usually they’re very careful to distinguish between big sister Usagi and Mama, but sometimes she slips when she’s tired and it always makes Usagi feel something very big that it’s hard to name.

“Mmm, well, yes, unfortunately I have cursed you with my beauty, but you make a lot of Mamo-chan’s faces.”

“I do?”

Chibi-usa turns around again, and that is one of them. The wide, slightly disbelieving eyes and thoughtful frown. The way he always looks when she’s done something as revolutionary as remembering his favorite ice cream flavor (chocolate chip mint) or remembering which vegetables not to put in the curry (green peas), or when she brings home a book he said he’d been meaning to read along with her stack of manga.

The “you see me?” look.

It makes her drop a quick kiss on the little girl’s forehead. “You absolutely do. And let’s not forget the way you fell out of the sky and immediately knew how to get on my nerves. I should have known whose kid you were from the drop.”

“Wait, what do you mean?”

It occurs to Usagi that Chibi-usa is so young with parents so busy that she might not even know yet that they had started out this lifetime as...well.

“Once upon a time,” she says, separating Chibi-usa’s hair into pigtails for braiding. “There was a very pretty girl who had to take the world’s hardest test, and a baka in a stupid green coat who flirted like a seven year old.”

It’s almost bedtime, so instead of odangos she carefully brushes and braids each pigtail as she tells her future daughter about the time she’d hit her father in the head with a test, and then another test, and then a shoe, and then another shoe, entirely by accident. Chibi-usa bursts into adorable giggles when Usagi gets to the part where Mamo-chan told her she needed to be careful or her bun head was going to turn into a bun body (“Traitor!”) and gets quiet when she gets to the part about the Starlight Tower.

She skips over the sad stuff (she’s not sure Mamo-chan will ever be okay with Chibi-usa knowing about his time with the Dark Kingdom, and she doesn’t need the mental image of all of the senshi dying, one by one) with an abbreviated version of Beryl’s defeat, and instead moves on to happier, sillier things, like Snow White plays and babysitting adventures.

By the time she reaches the revelation that Tsukikage no Knight had been Mamo-chan all along, Chibi-usa has fallen back against Usagi again, but this time, she’s fast asleep.

She looks like her papa when she’s asleep, too.

“And then, a few months later,” Usagi says to her sleeping daughter and an empty room, reaching for her phone. “A little brat nearly broke my neck, and nothing has ever been the same.”

She unlocks the phone, and holds it up, smiling sweetly, snapping a picture with Chibi-usa asleep in her lap. Mamo-chan is probably at work - he’s got a new job lately and the hours are stupid long, but he checks his phone on breaks.

Cute when she’s asleep like somebody else I know, she types. We love you!

As she hits send, she thinks she might not be too bad at this mom stuff, after all. *** There we have it. My first completed Sailor Moon fic in what feels like a lifetime, and it is the most spun sugar cotton candy kind of fluff I have ever written, probably. That seems in character for me, lol. Anyway, if you like it, let me know! I haven’t actively participated in this fandom for some time, but I’ve been scribbling out bits of fanfic for two months now whenever I get the chance so I figured it was time to start getting some of it out there.
