I've heard several times now that supernatural was made by white men for white men and I just. Don't. Understand that. I've seen shows made for white men or just men in general. And supernatural is not at all like them. I honestly think supernatural was made for teens. The humor and the heart are just not at all what you will find in media targeting grown men. Supernatural is about brotherly love. And while a lot of media geared towards men is also about that, supernatural comes at it in a very different way. Instead of it being about two men becoming brothers through adversity and always knowing their place with each other and hardly ever talking to each other about their relationship, supernatural is about two brothers who start off super close and work on their relationship so they can both be happy in it. The whole show is them learning how to be better for each other. These men cry every other episode, and several main plot points revolve around them not communicating well. Instead of reinforcing the "dont speak about feelings cuz that's weak" trope so common in typical male media, supernatural activity demonizes that. It shows how unhealthy it is to bottle emotions. It shows that it actually destroys relationships if you dont talk about how you're feeling. Again, something you would want a teen to see. This show is not trying to be a manly show for manly men. It is a character/relationship study of how these two brothers grow into a relationship that is best for them. Not to say that this was always pulled off perfectly, but that was always the point and theme of the show.

also I think that butch fem!Lucifer would literally rewrite Dean’s brain. look at me. she would. he has gender issues in all directions, and the one lesbian friend he has is v femme. lucifer makes a home at the bunker, walks around without enough clothes on half the time, her hair’s as short as Dean’s and she can throw him to the floor and she’s Lucifer so she ends up most days covered in dirt from gardening, weird grime from the corners of the bunker she’s cleaning out with Sam’s help, or her own (or someone else’s) blood.

And he has a boner about all of this that will not go away.

At pride center I been volunteering at.. today they had trans..+ anyone under that umbrella.. meet up. So I went! (my first one) and was so cool to hear other experiences and hear similar things I felt. The one who runs this meeting/group even invited me into the Discord they have. So yay! It’s all in our area (small town.. yea in California.. yea it’s small .. and yea I feel like none are here and I feel like the only one 🥺.. but I made it as 50! So wow 49 other people are here! Sooo maybe this year will look up and I can (finally) make lgbtq+ friends!!
