so many gems in the Doctor Who script library the BBC just released but today I'm here in 4x02, The Fires of Pompeii

I know the doctor was grieving rose in s3 but come on my guy you did not need to treat martha like that like she walked the earth for a year for you + the entirety of the family of blood, she should've run him over with the tardis after that honestly

Not to be a stickler about grammar, but whenever I see shit about doomsday I get soooo unreasonably upset when people put “quite right too”. That doesn’t even make sense! It’s “quite right to” as in, you’re quite right to love me/as you’re supposed to!!! Gahhhhhh 😔

BPD Tenth Doctor

#tenth doctor #doctor who #just the way he does relationships in general pings that way to me #how he needs someone as his anchor point and they become his whole world #the clinging but then pushing away or lashing out when scared of losing them #the way he seems to stop caring about his own wellbeing when someone he cares about is in danger or gone #the 'no second changes' mentality #while also going way way out of his way to offer people a first chance even when they don't deserve it #the whole harriet jones situation #and really a lot of how he interacts with jack #the type of way he messes things up with martha #and how he just sort of assumes every time donna asks for a break she is gonna leave for forever #how he clams tf up when people DO promise him forever #the 'always on the run' attitude where it feels safer to never settle down #bpd is a presentation of trauma and an adaptation to survive it #and it's like how he's adapted to deal with the trauma of losing literally everyone and everything in the time war #his relationship with Rose is what made me think about bpd 10 in the first place tbh #she's his Favorite Person and he's different around her than anyone else #and he's riding the high of being with her while petrified of losing her while also doing things to push her away out of fear #then when he loses her it's like he's fully lost himself too #and he's so much more defeated and weary of caring after that

I see I have officially stayed up too late and read yet another disappointing (but at this point hardly surprising) thing about John MacArthur so yay another dumpster fire for the national/global church to maneuver around. 🙃🙃🙃🙃

#man straight up tells his church leaders in no uncertain terms what is important is his grasp on power #so that some of them straight up leave the meeting while the rest bow to him #and i may have missed it but still no retractions or apologies to the women and families whose abusers the church protected right #so are we really surprised at this point #as sister and sil have both reminded me: the great theologians of the past had some pretty messed up qualities among them too #and we largely for better or worse forgive them of it #it's just different and harder when they're currently filling a pulpit i guess #ragamusings #it's all very tenth doctor voice i've lived too long sometimes #both in me. i feel i have lived too long and also. sir are you going senile #and does that make it better or worse
