“loki was always a good person he was just surrounded by people that didn’t care about him and as soon as he was shown one single drop of affection from mobius he became the greatest hero of all time” is a beautiful name for a baby girl

I swear if I tumbled out of the cauldron and Lucien was like “you’re my mate” I’d be like “ok word” and we’d live happily ever after

Listen I know 'ghhhs' is not a verb and I will describe how my whumpee here is screaming properly when I get to that paragraph but sometimes 'ghhh' really is just the only way to describe the animalistic, uninhibited way a noise that comes so deeply from pain and the throat sounds, y'know?

queer short film: "beirut dreams in color"
queer short cuts is a biweekly newsletter where i share queer & trans short film recommendations. i'm featuring some of my favorite films on tumblr because why not
lebanon | 2022 | 28 minutes | documentary short
audio in english & arabic; english subtitles available
beirut dreams in color, directed by michael collins, is not a happy film, but it is a beautiful and necessary one. the docu-short follows lebanese indie rock band mashrou’ leila, who have, since their inception, made their politics central to their music. their lead singer, hamed sinno, is heralded as the first openly gay rock star in the arab world, and mashrou’ leila played sold-out shows throughout the swana region (southwest asia & north africa) in the 2010s. the film weaves their story together with the tragic story of sarah hegazi, an egyptian queer activist, and with the story of helem, a lebanese lgbtq+ organization led by tarek zeidan, as their community in beirut faced a disaster in 2020.
deepa's full review, including content notes at the end - highly recommend looking at the content notes
hamed sinno is on instagram @hamed.sinno. you can also read more about sarah hegazi’s legacy and the community that grieves her.

New S. Ryder POV Story Up On Patreon
Hey everyone, it’s me again. No chapter update yet, but I am here to say that there’s a POV extra story that you can get an early look at that’s available on my Patreon.
Samuel Ryder - The Morning of the Funeral POV
This is a special extra story because it not only shows you Ryder’s struggle with their mutation, but also the struggle with their mental health. I think it’s also important for people to read because, for people who don’t suffer from these issues or haven’t known people who suffer from these issues, spirals like this can happen. Especially if they’re born from something so cataclysmic as what Ryder and the rest of the team has been through.
The next update is well in the works, still shooting for it to be out by the end of this month if I can swing it. Thank you all for being patient, and thank you all for supporting. I’m going to take a nice long break for the rest of the day after writing that POV.
Just remember; please remember: you are not alone. No matter what you’re going through. You are not alone.
Stay Brilliant,
-Vi

In the collection "Biographical and genealogical research on Francis J. Kinloch" from the South Carolina Historical Society archives, there was an 8-page mini biography of Francis Kinloch written by his granddaughter Sarah Lewis Lesesne (née Simons). Sarah was the daughter of Franics's daughter Anne Cleland Kinloch, who married Colonel Keating Lewis Simons. Included in this biography is a physical description of Francis Kinloch.
He is described as "tall & slender with delicate features, black hair & eyes, and a most agreeable expression of countenance." He also had "brilliant powers of conversation" and "was very fond of raillery."
