One thing i've run up against when dealing with fandom and characters making less than ideal choices is that people seem to treat a character's decision being sympathetic, the decision being understandable, the decision being reasonable, and it being objectively the best solution for the situation, as synonymous. When those are 4 very different things.

#fandom #complaining and whining about fandom #'oh x didn't make any sense' and it's a character working with incomplete information #or in a super high stress situation having to act quickly #or a deeply traumatized character making a choice that even for their situation makes no sense but they couldn't help it #and sometimes it actually is the best solution and still not sympathetic because it betrays someone close to them for the greater good!#all of these things can be true!

ive been doing pretty good with my disordered eating for like 2 years now but ive been so stressed lately and ive been noticably gaining weight and today i put on a pair of joggers that i used to love bc they were a lil baggy (bc i like to be comfy) but still showed off my bawdy (bc im hot) and they still fit but they were a tight and i wasn't comfortable wearing them out and it made me:

miss my body from 3 years ago when i was at my thinnest (i do vary from most thispo ppl bc my ideal body isn't As Thin As I Can Be, it's basically just as tiny as i can get my waist without losing any ass fat, which is exactly where i was 3 years ago)

want to go back to 3 years ago, even though at the time i was heavily drinking almost every night, shoplifting like every other day, unemployed, living with bad influences who encouraged this behavior, and only eating socially

have the urge to not eat for the rest of the week, and the only thing kept me from this is i was getting ready for an event with food where there were people who would know to be concerned if i didn't eat, plus i have veggies in my fridge that will go bad by the time id be eating again and i don't wanna waste food that i spent Money on

overeat bc if i can't restrict my diet then for some reason my next course of action is to eat everything whenever i can, which i simply don't have the money to do bc im already on an extremely tight budget as it is

so now im stressed about money and hating my body and wanting to eat nothing and everything all at once and it just put me in a really weird bad mood, not to mention i was already feeling tired and burnt out and frustrated before any of this. i just wanna live in the sims and go into cas and change every minute detail about myself. i just wanna live in a world that's not this one

I like Alisaie's continuous distaste for self sacrifice. In a genre where self sacrifice is usually something noble and necessary, it's refreshing to see a character say "No. There is another way. You are not losing it all for this cause. You will live to see your efforts bear fruit."

Scamming the scammer

John Constantine was the biggest headache Danny had managed to get, ever. After becoming King he did not think that his first task would be to solve the man's soul problems.

And it seemed quite incredible to him that the hellbazer would consider selling his soul as if it were a used car that he wants to get rid of to buy a new one. He was aware that he needed a soul, wasn't he? That it was not possible to buy a new one? Because he didn't want to be the one to inform him if that was not the case.

To top it off, beings from different domains within his kingdom came explicitly to claim the British's soul, which didn't even make sense, there were thousands of souls! Why did everyone want the same one? And why did he have to be the one to take care of it?

Completely frustrated, he placed all the paperwork for John Constantine in an empty room and locked the door. He smiled as he came up with a plan to improve the situation, it might be worth it.

That's how a drunk John Constantine found himself signing a dubious contract in exchange for the power to turn any liquid into beer, he didn't bother to read the contract, most demons just wanted his soul and this guy looked so human, with a presence so light it must be a minor demon for sure.

This turned out to be a bad decision when the next morning he found himself trapped in a room full of documents, the door locked. Taped to the door was a green note that said "Enjoy doing your own paperwork sir, I hope you're pleased with yourself", and well, maybe he should have read that contract after all.
