okay but also I’m so glad they barely gave us anything of the door slam makeout scene because it was actually like…kind of sad? because on the one hand there’s Stede who’s probably feeling every single emotion at once because he killed a guy kind of for Ed but really for himself for Ed and now he’s just high on this rush of cosplaying this dickish pirate character he’s always wanted to be and is kind of just taking things he shouldn’t at this point? and then Ed is literally deep in depression fog and of course he’s going to go along with it because he trusts Stede and loves him and probably thought he might die in front of him again and also is incredibly aware that Stede is not in a good headspace but he also explicitly asked for slow! they’re just trying so hard to be what they THINK the other wants while torpedoing themselves in the process oh woof la vida es dolor
