Well this is basically just *sees one grainy screenshot of a trailer leak and becomes mentally ill about it* warning for a bit of a heavy mood: suicidal thoughts implied as well as talking about trauma and the like
Bix lay sprawled out on her stomach in the messy bed, appearing about as put together as her living quarters. If Imogen hadn’t heard her voice just a moment before, she would have thought Bix wasn’t even conscious. As she drew nearer, she noticed a familiar blaster rested loosely in her mechanic’s grip.
One step forward, two steps back.
A lump formed in Imogen’s throat, but she swallowed hard and sat on the edge of the bed. “How are you feeling?”
The first sign of life from Bix was a weak shrug. “Somewhere in between wanting to blast some Imp’s head off and my own.”
That filled Imogen with a sickening, ice-cold dread. She carefully reached for the blaster. “You know that I would never allow you to do that.”
Their fingers brushed as Imogen took the weapon out of her hand. The touch roused a reaction and the mechanic’s gaze snapped up to meet the former Inquisitor’s. Imogen expected to see anything from pain to fear, but Bix’s eyes were simply hollow. She could not bear to witness it for more than a couple of seconds.
“All of a sudden you’re so concerned with coveting life, huh?”
“I covet yours above all others, Bix,” Imogen replied.
A sigh expelled from her lungs and she dragged herself into a sitting position. “You don’t need to worry. I was just… too deep in my own head.”
Imogen nodded, but fully recognized the danger of such a thing. “Have you gotten out of this room today?”
“No.”
“One prison is enough to endure. You should not make it two,” she said gently.
Bix ran a hand though her disheveled curls and released another impatient huff. “Everyone has been looking at me like I’m some broken thing. I mean, I am, but… seeing it all over their faces makes me feel like I’m still strapped to that chair, losing my mind.”
Imogen knew she must have inadvertently contributed to that. Guilt twisted her insides. Of all people, she should have known better. “My master used to look at me differently than anyone else. Not in a way I found to be encouraging. Though she never said it, I could see she spent most of her days anticipating the worst from me. It is taxing.”
“It is,” the mechanic agreed wearily. She shifted closer, looping an arm through Imogen’s and resting her head on her shoulder.
Despite the topic of conversation, Imogen felt a light flutter in her chest as the heat of the other woman’s body warmed her. This type of candid affection they had started to share more frequently brought a specific kind of intoxication. It felt just as thrilling as any intimate touch and she hid a smile. Imogen could be content with her like this. Just like this.
Imogen turned her attention to the blaster in her hands. “I had not realized you still had this. I thought it was lost.”
Bix studied the blaster like it was the only object of importance to her. “I kept it from you.”
“Why?”
“It makes me feel less vulnerable. And because it’s yours.”
Imogen recalled when Bix had taken it straight from her holster out of a strong will to escape the Empire with her life. Perhaps the blaster was not some dark force searching to prey on an addled mind, rather the only tangible reminder of her own survival.
After a long moment of deliberation, Imogen offered the weapon back to her. “Now it is yours.”
Bix leaned back enough to meet her gaze again. Relief washed over the bounty hunter at the small spark that reignited within her rich eyes. “You’re sure?”
“I trust that you will continue to protect yourself with it. As I will continue to protect you.”
A soft smile tugged at the corner of Bix’s mouth, drawing Imogen’s gaze down for a split second. She suddenly became keenly aware of their lack of personal space. Bix took in her features as well before she accepted the blaster. “Thank you.”
“You will not be broken forever, Bix,” Imogen promised.
The movements were subtle. Fingers tightened around her arm. Bix tilted her head towards hers ever so slightly. Imogen felt even the most acute form of contact. It pulled her in like a magnet, making each short breath stutter past her barely parted lips.
“You can kiss me, you know,” Bix whispered.
Imogen had never experienced a deeper temptation in all her life. It would be as easy as leaning in an inch or two. The last time her lips were graced by a kiss was on Ferrix before the uprising. That moment felt so far away and it made Imogen ache terribly for her mechanic. This pain reached past every defense to tear at what was left of her very soul. Somehow, that only made her crave it more.
But Imogen could not bring herself to give in. Not while Bix was like this.
Wordlessly, the bounty hunter tilted her chin up and gently pressed her lips to Bix’s temple. Imogen felt her beloved lean into the kiss as her tense muscles eased. She sensed it gifted them both a moment of peace, so she pulled away and rested her forehead where the ghost of her kiss remained, feeling no rush to part from her mechanic.

Season 3 ending
So... It's been almost a week since the last episode, almost a week trying to wrap my head around the end of the show, trying to manage my feelings about it all.
It's hard to end up feeling the complete opposite of nearly everyone on my dash but I've come to terms with the fact that I didn't love the ending. I didn't love this last episode. (I shouldn't feel ashamed or weird for saying so but you guys loved it so much that I feel a bit like an outsider right now 😓)
I haven't been a fan of the show for as long as most of you, but it means so much to me. These characters carved a place in my heart and in my head, and they've made me happy for months now. They helped me get through some stuff, made me discover some amazing artists, meet even more amazing people through this fandom. And I loved the story. Even in its darkest, saddest parts, I loved it. I was invested.
I love Wilhelm and Simon, together and separately. They mean so much to me. And I loved season 1 and 2. It made me happy, and sad, and frustrated, and exalted. But overall, I trusted the show and I was not disappointed.
Season 3 was a lot. I liked the first 5 episodes. I can't say that I loved everything about them: I was not expecting things to get so hard for Simon, with no reprieve in sight. I was not worried about Wilmon being endgame (I know it was a big stress for the fandom but honestly I never doubted that they were endgame), but I was wondering how the show would go about tying all the knots it made (I should even say all the knots it added during this last season).
(Under a read more because it's a bit long and I don't want to bother those who don't wanna read more of my frustrated thoughts ^^')
And unfortunately the last episode was a huge let down for me. Yes, it's partly because nothing I was hoping for actually happened, but mostly, it's because the choices they made did not feel very satisfying to me: ⁕ Simon was barely there. We went from him being bullied online/offline non stop for 5 episodes to almost nothing. It makes 0 sense to me. ⁕ Kristina suddenly feeling better: she was having break down upon break down for an entire season, could barely look at her son or even just talk normally and all of a sudden she's back, smiling and agreeing to everything Wilhelm says? I'm sorry but I don't buy it? Where did this Kristina hid during the entire show? ⁕ Wilhelm deciding to not be king, talking for 3min to his parents about it, them agreeing and him running into the sunset with Simon. I'm sorry, what?? I love that they end up together of course, but it makes very little sense to me? It won't change any of the issues they had this season? They're still gonna be famous? And bullied online/offline? (Probably even more so now?). I'm not obviously saying that Wilhelm staying in line to become king was the only or the best solution, but I wanted more from this storyline. I wanted to believe it. And right now, what we got? It feels a bit cheap (and I feel bad for saying that because the ending was cute and romantic and all, but it felt too disconnected from the rest of the show for me ><)
And apart from these few points, the big issue I had with this episode was: The Angst. So that might be a me-problem, but it was too much for my poor little heart (I haven't rewatched the episode yet, and I'm not sure I'll be able to anytime soon ><). I spent like 40min of the episode with a huge knot in the stomach because the heartbreak between Simon and Wilhelm was too much to handle for me. I can see how it was beautifully made, that having lots of throwbacks to the previous seasons, the Wille song, all of that was great cinematography. But it was just too much for me. I got in the season spoiler-free but for this episode? During the lake scene I had to take a break and check online if they were actually endgame because it was starting to actually give me a stomachache. So yeah, this part might be me being too sensitive but I did not like that they made me see them fight for each other for 2 seasons and 5 episodes, but then just giving up for 40min before finally running back to each other during the last 10min. It was just too much sadness for me ><
So yeah, maybe my expectations were too high? But I feel sad, and kinda cheated. Too many things are left wide opened. Too many things make zero sense to me. And of course I'm happy we got our Wilmon endgame, but I'm less happy about how it happened.
It's a bit hard being on Tumblr right now and seeing everyone who thought it was the perfect episode >< And I don't want to "yuck anyone's yum" (as the saying goes), but I still wanna be able to share my thoughts! I probably won't write super angry/unhappy/complaining posts about the season/the finale, but I still wanna be able to chat about it. I did see some posts on my dash from people not being entirely satisfied with this ending so it's a bit comforting. And I hope we can share some nice headcanons, or just discussions about different plot points.
But yeah, I guess that's why I haven't really been active this week! Trying to get over the double heartbreak of the end of the show + being disappointed with the ending! I'm gonna come back though! I miss hanging out here, I just need to strengthen my heart a little bit more :p Gonna get back to writing about my thoughts episode by episode for this season (I can't promise I can rewatch the last one though 😖 It might take me a bit of time to get there). And I want to continue my song analysis of the show!! I'm not even done with season 2 yet, I have some work to do there ^^
So see you back here very soon 😘

Hi! I was wondering if i can request where y/n is dating roman and she’s a face, she’s in a match and she gets serious injured and roman gets very worried but she then ends up okay with fluff at the end? (sorry if that made no sense) ty!
BACKLASH, roman reigns.
Tumblr media
warning: curse words, shitty description of action, blood, violence
tags: YES MORE STAGE NAMES SORRY, made-up events, fluff!!!!
summary: lovers to enemies but make it a fight
"AND i'll see you at wrestlemania, baby." you dropped the mic. the crowd cheered, waiting for your boyfriend's response. nothing came out of your mouth. the two of you had a stare down, totally in character. "then it's settled, roman reigns against stage killer for wrestlemania!" the announcer yelled. who would've thought the power couple of the industry was up against each other.
the camera stopped rolling and you were out of your character. going back to the clingy girlfriend you were. "baby!" you jumped on his back as soon as you got backstage. "can you believe it? wrestlemania?" you giggled in excitement. "i'm gonna beat your ass, you know that right?" "i’m gonna beat your ass!”
the moment you got back to your place, you immediately went to take a shower. work was never boring for you, you got to work with your boyfriend and his cousins–so it was quite exciting to see what the industry had for you. after showering, you laid on your bed, trying to close your eyes. but before you knew it, roman was already right next to you. "baby, you're not gonna shower?" "i was going to, but you went ahead of me." he joked.
morning came by and your boyfriend was nowhere to be seen. damn, up and early for a morning run, you thought. you were wrong, he was in the kitchen, making breakfast for the two of you. "morning." you greeted him with a kiss on his forehead, trying your best to reach his height. "morning baby, breakfast will be ready in 5 minutes. turn on the tv for me, please." you nodded and went to the living room.
"you heard it right, the power couple will face each other in wrestlemania!" the match had everyone talking. you chuckled as you switched the channel. "when do you wanna go over the choreography?" you asked him. "what?" he couldn't hear you. "i said when do you wanna go over the choreography?" "what?" at this point he was messing with you. you only groaned in response. "we'll go over it the day after tomorrow, let's just chill for a bit."
the build up for the fight was insane. even your families couldn't believe that you were pinned against each other. your mother called, asking if you had relationship problems with roman. you brushed it off, telling her it was all an act. the entire 'lovers-to-enemies' plot was a good idea to bring more depths into your storyline. being a face with your boyfriend as the top heel was complicated on live television. people were rooting for you to join the bloodline, some were rooting for the bloodline to turn face–needless to say, the two of you were the talk of the town.
behind closed doors and all the soap opera-coded romance, the two of you were actually so in love with each other. you had been dating for 5 years. your debut and his debut were in the same era, causing you to meet him in every reading and practice. the two of you immediately hit it off when he realized that you were practically living in the same neighbourhood.
gym sessions turned to dates, running together turned to grocery shoppings for your household, and friends turned to lovers. you loved every single little thing about him; how he drank his morning coffee–slightly sweeter than yours, how he dropped whatever was in his hands–to catch you, how he held you higher than any title that he has. out of all the belts and titles he owned, you were his prized possession, his true win in life.
and the same goes for you. he loved every single little thing about you. you never thought that you'd end up with one of your closest ring partners. the love that you had for each other was indescribable. "hey, baby." he greeted you, scooting closer to your body. "hey." you replied. "you ready to go over the script?" he raised an eyebrow. "hell yeah."
the big creative boss, triple h, was the reason why you were doing this entire 'lovers-to-enemies' gimmick. he wanted people to stay invested, rather than just fawning over the perfect love story you had. at first, roman and you thought it was a joke. it wasn't a joke at all. as much as you wanted to cling on roman and make him break character by your flirtings, it was quite interesting seeing this 'evil' persona of your boyfriend on stage.
the plan for wrestlemania was laid in front of the two of you from months ago. it was going to end with you winning. you wanted a change and the industry brought it to you. "so roman, what do you want to talk about?" the other wrestlers in the arena laughed at your joke. "hey that was my line!" cody complained from outside the ring. "sorry, just had to!" you gave him a thumbs up.
everyone was doing their job, you could see the sound guy adjusting the volumes of the speakers, wardrobe crews running to the backstage, you felt peace in the ring–not knowing what was coming for you. you dropkicked your boyfriend's chest, avoiding several spots. he flew back, hanging on the ropes. "that was great!" he smiled at you. "learned from the best." practice continued for the two of you.
roman was sitting in front of you, waiting for you to finish your makeup. he finished putting on his gear, his iconic red gloves and an ula fala around his neck. he was playing with his phones, replying to messages from his family and friends, wishing the two of you good luck for the show. "do you think cody will be using all his pyro tonight?" you asked him a question. "the ground will shake when he goes out." you applied your signature lip color, bloody red, contradicting to the blue gloves you had on your left arm.
people started to notice that the two of you had similar gears, the red and blue dividing you from being one. "and you're done!" the makeup artist said, excusing herself from the scene as she didn't want to bother roman and you. "you look beautiful, baby." he complimented you. "and you don't look too bad yourself, reigns." roman rolled his eyes. he took out his phone from his pocket and snapped pictures of you. "turn around, i'm gonna show everyone my girl." oh, he was very cheesy, you thought.
the crowd was ecstatic for the main and last event. the nervousness you had inside yourself was gone, replaced with adrenaline. "GOOD LUCK (Y/N)! GOOD LUCK ROMAN!" the locker room was hyping you up for the match. "MAIN EVENT, BABY!" you shouted, earning several whistles from your fellow wrestlers. "(l/n) up in 5, reigns up in 10!" one of the crew opened the locker room, only to be greeted by the superstars being loud and rowdy. "ALRIGHT, SEE YOU ALL IN A BIT!"
roman and you walked hand-in-hand, savouring the moment before going out. right when the two of you got near the entrance, your steps stopped. "fuck." you muttered, scanning the crowd. "it's going to be amazing, baby." he kissed your forehead, calming you down. "i'm okay!" you smiled at him. you had a ritual together where you prayed in silence before going out. you heard your theme song started to play, the crowd singing along to it.
"kill the stage, baby." like your stage name, the stage killer–you were going to kill the stage.
as you walked the long path filled with fans, you were making a grand entrance with all your pyro and charisma. you ran and slid your body inside the ring, giving your signature pose. the crowd was still singing along your entrance song, pumping you up with adrenaline and love. as soon as your song stopped, you took the time to wave at some fans. you were ready to face your boyfriend, no matter what it takes.
"and her opponent for tonight, accompanied with his wiseman and solo sikoa, roman reigns!" you were on the opposite side of the ring, clearly making eye-contact with him as he walked down the aisle. you couldn't help but to feel slightly intimidated by your boyfriend's cold gaze. you gave him a quick wink, sticking to the true nature of your character, a flirt.
the two of you had a stare down for a couple of minutes, asserting your positions. "we can see here that the tension is crazy. going from lovers to enemies, the adventure leads to this very moment right here. it's history." the commentator said to the microphone. you smirked as he took off his ula fala.
with that, the bell rang and the fight was on.
like practice, roman lunged first, trying to get you on your back. you ran to him, knocking him out with your forearm. "a full-blown upper arm shot from killer! what a shot!" the commentator said. "and reigns is getting up on his feet!" you saw roman slightly nodding at you, ready for the next move. "reigns spears killer to the pole!" you landed on the least dangerous side of the pole. with all of your energy, you stood up, cracking your knuckles.
the entire match seemed like you were dancing inside the ring with your boyfriend, people were satisfied with the moves the two of you pulled. your quickness was the only thing that roman didn't have. you were light on your feet, dodging every attack perfectly. sooner or later the final move came and you were supposed to attack him with his move, the superman punch. when you first read the script, you laughed. how ironic, you thought. you gripped the ropes as tight as you could, wanting him to hit the ropes when he attacked you before the final move.
but all the sudden, your visions became hazy as one of the ropes accidentally snapped on your back, causing some backlash. the ropes brushed against your back–a loud snap was heard from the ring. roman's eyes flashed with worry. "you hear that? the rope just snapped! is killer getting up?" you almost stumbled upon your own legs, but you had to give people a great show. you shook your head and put up your iconic fighting stance.
you had to give them your all, but you didn't expect a botch in the middle of the fight, and it wasn't even your fault. you started to notice that the cut was very deep as you felt blood dripping down your back. this wasn't how you imagined your match would end. roman hesitated a bit when he wanted to spear you again before you counter it with a superman punch. "DO IT, REIGNS!" you yelled at him. he saw the determination in your eyes, your lips were pale, but your eyes were still full of life.
"REIGNS IS TAKING HIS STANCE TO SPEAR KILLER, WITH HER BLEEDING HER BACK OUT... IS THIS LOVE?" the crowd went silent for a bit, anxiously waiting for your next move. in a blink of an eye, the spear was countered by a superman punch, leaving roman in the middle of the ring, gasping for air. you quickly got down and locked his legs in between your head, slowly feeling more blood coming out of your injury. you didn’t even realize that your forehead was kind of bleeding too. it was blood all over the ring. the referee came in an counted down with the crowd.
and in a second, you won. "AND HERE IS YOUR WINNER, THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION, THE STAGE KILLER!" you let go of roman's body, kneeling down next to him. the referee helped you on on your feet, giving you the belt. "paramedics needed. paramedics needed." the commentators mouthed to the stage crew. you were crying and you didn't know if it was because you just gave the best performance in your career or because of the stinging pain on your back.
everyone cheered your name and you were practically trying your best to stand up. paramedics arrived, but you shook your head, wanting to stay longer inside the ring. "(y/n), baby. please go." roman's eyes was still filled with worry. "i- i'll be okay, baby." you stuttered. the more you stumbled on your own feet, the more you were convinced to leave the ring. you got down, paramedics helped you out of the way. "we love you (y/n)!" "you were so cool (y/n)!" the noises soon fade away as darkness consumed your vision.
backstage was a mess. people were waiting for the paramedics to say that you were clear to go. your fellow wrestlers already had plans for your celebration, but things went downhill. roman was just sitting in front of the medical room, his legs trembling from anxiety. "dude, she'll be okay, she's suffering from blood loss." jey patted his back, trying to calm him down. "they're stitching her up, apparently the ropes malfunctioned and her back was too exposed to it." jey talked him into a sense of mind.
paramedics came out and roman immediately stood up from his seat. "is she alright?" the question had been roaming around his head. "she's awake now, had to stitch her up. she lost a lot of blood because of the incident, but she's okay. she's asking for you." roman nodded and entered the room. you were lying on your stomach. "hey baby, look. i got stitches!" roman couldn't help but to laugh at your positivity.
you saw his expression and it was still the same from earlier, he was worried. "come on, baby. don't be worried, i'm okay. it was just blood loss." you nagged. "how can i not be worried, you were bleeding your ass off and you still wanted to continue the match? you could've asked me to end it quickly." he said. "and let everyone down? you know i wouldn't do that... please don't worry too much about me." roman shook his head.
"baby..." roman softly spoke. "of course i'm worried. i love you and i don't want anything to happen to you." he confessed. "i know baby, but i'm fine now. and i'm the universal champion, i have nothing to fear." you pushed your body up, trying to sit down with the fresh stitches on your back. "you're amazing, love. i'm so proud of you. my girl, a universal champion?" he smiled and you could feel butterflies in your stomach. no matter how hard it got, you knew that by just seeing his smile, things would be alright.
losing was not a bad thing, roman thought. seeing you all jolly and excited over your new title got him smiling again. he was so lucky to have you in his life. "i love you." "and i love you too."
he remembered something. "oh and when you're ready to go out please don't mind everyone, they're too excited and worried at the same time. they have your favorite ice cream and lesnar got some balloons for you." "AW HELL YEAH, LET'S GET OUT!"
a/n: hii! hope you enjoyed this as much as i did writing it bc its my fav one so far,, reminder that requests are always open! (pssttt... someone pls request a cody fic i want to write him)

volume V thoughts bc once again fusebox has got me intrigued
first of all omg wtf
I usually end up reading a few spoilers before I play bc I'm bored at work but don't wanna play the volume until I get back but I had such a busy day at work I didn't do that and wow ok I gotta avoid spoilers more often I was shook
so excess baggage was okay. like yeah makes sense we want the couples to be tense again before voting the couple superlatives thing, but also such a throwaway. (and also I talked about this in my post about last volume, but we have so many challenges in a row!! why)
since my MC did initially flirt with Oakley a lot more than Jin, I do think it's funny Oakley talks about how cool MC's secret is (like it's annoying fs but also something I've seen happen on love island to create small drama but then ultimately it's just talk so it's nice to have that happen here).
Also i was worried Oakley was gonna turn on us or flirt with us and abandon Emel, so I'm very glad he was just asking for advice. (I'm a big Oakley and Emel fan, what can I say?) I'd be okay if that led into a different storyline where you could pursue Oakley later, but with how fusebox has been making the seasons lately, once you pick you've made your choice and I do miss in for example s2 where even if you don't pick Lurik when they first become available you have a chance the next recoupling and it feels like it changes your route.
Jack is still mad at MC??
Couples game was fun. I wish fusebox formatted it so you discuss with your partner and then make a choice before everyone revealed their answers instead of people talking and explaining before the player picks their answer. Like we know the characters already, just let me pick and we can see who agrees.
Oakley's evening wear outfit 😍 best dressed boy fs
I of course could never bear to see Oakley and Emel go, but I surprisingly actually missed Sophie and Jack as soon as they left but like in a me missing Allegra and Miles/Jasper when they left. Like yeah they were irritating but they brought drama and I understand where Allegra/Sophie is coming from (and I support women's wrongs lol)
Jin going through his main character of S6 arc??? No but fr I can't imagine why the public would vote him out so he's either hiding something that's gonna come out when he gets back or he was voted most popular and is gonna come back soon. I hope it's not casa because (1) that already happened in s6 and (2) I want the chance to flirt around with new characters in casa lol. I've seen a few theories around and I have no idea which is true but if I could throw in another idea which is post casa, MC is finally with a bombshell, Claudia/Theo, or a casa boy and things seem good but Jin and Luna show up together as returning islanders and MC has to choose between Jin and her current LI.
It's so interesting for drama, like ik I'm here for it. But a lot of people like loyal routes so I hope yall are doing okay
I was like half hoping we could walk out with him even though of course fusebox isn't giving us that option but like I wish he said something like hey you just got here, enjoy your time at the Villa and I'll wait out there for you no matter what happens. just to explain why MC wouldn't leave. that being said, their goodbye was so sweet.
One thing that's different in the game than the show is the number of islanders present at once, which makes sense its hard to keep track of all of them (though they've done it before in s2), and it just is weird bc now the people in the Villa are MC (single), Claudia and Theo (who don't like each other), and Emel and Oakley (only one couple).
despite my complaint about the challenge thing this is great pacing/timing for a new islander. it's just a shame the screwed over Tyler coming in so soon after MC. I can't remember if I already wrote this in my last post but I almost wish he came in with MC and got a better chance.

What I'd love to see in S8B
It seems the version I favored first regarding Troy's return, namely Troy being just a manifestation of Madison's guilt is not gonna play out, at all. Which I'm kinda sad about but it was never a very likely outcome [not saying that what I'm talking about here is any more likely haha].
Now, I heard some rumors, about how Troy coming back may play out (I feel like there's no question anymore whether Troy is returning) and the one that wouldn't let me go is [under the cut because of potential spoilers. maybe. who knows]
him having a daughter. Now, no idea how likely that is. But assuming that is happening - and I have to admit I had very mixed feelings when I first heard that which maybe has to do with the fact that I'm one of the few people who mostly don't like storylines with kids (like, I was no fan of squirrel at all in Cursed 🙈). I also worried whether they would change Troy's character because of the daughter and he becomes unrecognizable (also because we are missing how he went from end of s3, where he was still learning who he was to ... well whoever he is in s8. Missed opportunity).
Ok putting all that aside, if he has a daughter, how fun would it be though if he teamed up with Madison to save his daughter and possibly starting their manipulative game again, probably with him now holding things over her head (things is her having intended to kill him, I'm sure he can play perfectly into her guilt there) - a reflection of s3 but now it's him trying to save his kid, doing everything for her. ["You love him more than your own life?" he'd asked Madison in s3ep1 with this note of surprise in his tone. He totally gets it now and very likely will use this, the fact that he's a parent now, to get her to cooperate too. Pulling out alll the stops.] A distorted reflection.
I think they'll manage to get the daughter (introducing her just to kill her off seems wasteful to me but who knows) and then I would absolutely love it if Troy ends up mirroring Madison's actions to the end - killing her in order to keep his kid safe. And Madison seeing that intent, accepting her fate just seconds before (my personal headcanon *is* that Madison harbors a lot of guilt for how she did things so it's even kind of cathartic maybe for her, to die so she can't hurt any more kids (but I also have to admit I haven't really watched Madison's arc beyond s3 so I may be off here)).
OR, alternatively they manage to get his daughter back, and do part ways now in a mutual understanding and forgiveness (something Troy had tried to get/give in s3 but Madison hadn't been ready for that), some of Madison's guilt will even be lifted, she'll feel some sense of accomplishment/peace. And then it's revealed (don't ask me how haha I'd have to think on that) that Troy isn't actually the father of his supposed daughter but a kid he stole from her parents
[maybe her parents nursed him back to health, maybe there were some cute bonding scenes between Troy and her, maybe her parents were acting strict or something towards her and Troy, with his own childhood trauma saw it as them mistreating her, maybe he overreacted then as he decided 'not again, I won't let this happen again' and took her, maybe she cried the first few weeks while he told her her parents died in a zombie attack, maybe they are in a good place now - though it would also be fun if it's not all good],
and in fact, Madison should have killed him this time (or at least not have allowed him to leave). I do like tragedy of it, how she had killed him in s3 to save Nick (which wasn't necessary at all) and now that she let him go she feels again like she made the wrong choice, damned this kid.
Anyway guess I'm slightly looking forward to s8b after all 😂

re your complaints/critiques on 911 said in an anon response:
I 100% agree!! On the finale, I love everything about the first 30 minutes! the bridge collapse is everything, i could go on about that for hours, even the birth on the couch, i thought that was a funny twist in the couch theory. I love everyone else's storylines (bathena honeymoon, henren's newest foster daughter, madney wedding planning) I could like eddie with marisol if it ends with him growing and them not together, but buck's ending was so infuriating! like you said it felt like he was going in circles which can be true to real life, doesn't always make for good television. The biggest thing im worried about it it being nearly exactly like bucktaylor, especially if they last a season. I don't care if its a slowburn but like you said, theres slowburn and setting up something with no payoff over and over
anyways, Im surprised they didn't circle back to jo and mallory (molly maybe?). they usually circle back to the injuries of the week to get the like conclusion so (and i didn't realize until after) to not circle back to them felt weird. Do you think we'll get them in the next season?
OH also i thought it was so interesting that we almost / could've gotten the lees for this ep! tbh i thought it would be a scene where chim is in the hospital with maddie (if this wouldn't be a scene were maddie and chim jump the gun andd marry) and they reaffirm that chim is a psuedo son to them this leads to my other question: did you think we would've gotten a madney wedding like in the S2 finale for Bathena and would you have wanted that?
anyways, I thought this ep did the platonic relationships really well (buck and hen, buck and chim, hen and chim, and buck and bobby) and did literally every other storyline well except for buck's ending
i realize like as i finished that this was kinda neg so if you don't want to respond to any of this dw I understand adsf
Tumblr media
i enjoyed everything related to the emergency! i thought it was done very well, while i wanted it to be more high-stakes i get why they couldn't end what they thought might be their last episode on a cliffhanger or something. the 'pay it forward' thing really worked so well, not just with the civilians and jeff but i also clocked it with ravi and buck (someone also pointed out that the 118's degree of injuries was based on how much experience they've had on the job, which is why ravi didn't face any danger at all, and i thought that was an interesting theme!). i enjoyed how they wrapped up the other characters and i love that bathena got their cruise.
my major problem is the way buck's storyline was resolved, while the sperm donor thing was wrapped up very well; i'm unhappy and tired of him going in circles with natalia yet again. i also dislike the implication that him ending the season being single would mean it's an 'unhappy' ending for him—aside from all the obvious issues with that statement, buck literally started out this season by trying to be comfortable in being single and figuring out life by himself. it would have been the PERFECT conclusion to his arc. i love buck, i really do, but i'm not interested in sitting through who knows how many more episodes of him trying to learn this lesson again, i'm just not.
the thing with eddie and marisol was actually cute and it went more or less how i expected tbh. the way she was re-introduced left very little doubt that eddie would date her again. (given the lack of set-up, tho, i wouldn't be surprised if they opened up s7 with the relationship having fizzled out during the time-gap).
when i saw the synopsis mentioning the lees, i thought they might appear in a montage of sorts with chim recovering and i'm disappointed we didn't get to see that, especially with the stuff with chim's dad. (side note: 911 really needs to do better on the chimney front. i'm gonna need a season 7 that treats him like his own person for the entirety of it, not just maddie's partner. 6B has given us some of that, but i need more).
i'm actually glad they didn't rush the madney wedding. the bathena wedding being the way it was kinda made sense given the circumstances of how they got together in the first place, and how their relationship progressed from there. madney on the other hand—they've always taken things slow, they've been cautious and thoughtful while taking each step, largely because of their own past and baggage. what worked for bathena wouldn't really work for them, especially considering maddie's trauma surrounding marriage, i'm really glad they didn't rush this.

Let me preface this by saying AOS will always be in my top 10 kdramas of all time. It truly made me feel so many things, happiness, but mostly anxiety and stress. I don't think I've ever been more obsessed with a kdrama, which is why I need to put all my feelings down so that I can move on from this show. I am well aware that writers/directors cannot satisfy everyone and there's a lot of factors that influence the final outcome of the drama. But I just wanted to talk about the good parts and the bad parts as well as what I selfishly wanted to see. This is going to be all over the place, tbh.
First of all, my love for these characters and actors/actresses is truly unhinged. This is the first time I've seen any of them in a drama and I'll probably follow all of their careers for the rest of my kdrama life.
I think Jung Somin (JSM) and Go Younjung (GYJ) both did amazingly. They were different characters (but also the same) that did great with what they had. Not gonna lie, I was very worried about GYJ before S2 aired (this being her first lead role, her being a rookie, that she had never done romance before this, trying to follow JSM, etc. etc.) but she truly exceeded my expectations. Lee Jaewook (LJW) is my boy and it's hard to believe that he's only 24 years old. Shin Seung-ho and Yoo Insoo will always be in my heart and they're so funny and goofy (in real life especially) and I love them. Hwang Minhyun wasn't my favourite character, but the interactions of all of the actors in real life just makes my heart so warm. They're so cute!
I always have strong feelings towards writers when it comes to any type of show and I tend to feel the most hate towards them. Like do they not have moderators that go "oh, this is shit and doesn't make sense, please revise"? It always feels sad when the story that they've developed for years and the characters that we hold so dearly don't reach their potential. But as I said before these are my own selfish feelings.
Fantasy/romance genre is my absolute favourite. The further from reality the better and romance (when done well) just feeds my soul like no other. Fortunately/unfortunately fantasy has a lot of potential for world building and story telling. So where the kdrama fell flat was the plot, pacing and world building.
This drama had 30 episodes and they had multiple filler episodes that could've been used to flesh out the magical world and the dominant families and how they came to be. I loved ukiedoekie and ukyeong (my fav, tbh), but they could've given some of the other actors more screentime to better the plot.
The questions I have are: was the plan always to have Go Younjung come back? Because season 2 makes you question whether they even wanted her there. What happened with Jung Somin? Why did she not even have cameos in season 2, when clearly she should have? If it was just scheduling issues, then I kind get it, but she made that insignificant cameo when they could've made her do young Jin Buyeon's role, because it doesn't make sense that the 10 year old was there. Was the budget less for S2 than S1? Could they not afford JSM for S2 so they had to rewrite stuff? I just feel like the show really lacked cohesion in S2 and it shows and I'm trying to come up with excuses as to why. I loved Naksu/JBY/CY and how GYJ portrayed her, but the storyline and how they went about her character makes me question everything.
I do not like how they under utilized the female characters in this show. Jin Cho Yeon was just there. It's crazy to me that she was part of the oh so great "four seasons", for what?
Jang Uk (JU) and Mudoek were portrayed very well by the respective actors, I think they were great. But I wonder whether in interviews and press stuff whether it was a PR thing to not have them interact or make you feel anything when they're together (because they knew that LJW would be endgame with GYJ) so that the fans wouldn't get even more attached to them. Or did they not really "like" each other that much outside of their work or maybe their age gap was too significant? I put "like" in quotations because from the BTS videos they were always professional and pleasant with each other. I was sad when NO ONE from the AOS cast showed up to JSMs movie premier and no one really posted about her when the show wrapped for S2, except Yoo Insoo, that sweetheart.
LJW and GYJ are a whole other story. Their chemistry was extremely apparent on screen and in real life. I think they're the cutest and you can clearly see how much they care for each other and respect each other. If they were trying to distract the viewers from the plot with kissing scenes and on screen chemistry then it kinda worked, but I see you.
Naksu, Naksu, Naksu. That opening fight scene was the biggest clickbait I've ever seen in my entire life. I loooooove physically strong female leads that can fight with the boys and hold their own physically. Please see that I'm saying physically, because obviously emotionally or mentally strong is inferred. So to say I was sad that we never truly got to see that again is an understatement. In S2 I get why they ended it how they ended it, but if Naksu/Cho Yeong (CY) was never going to use her mage powers they could've fleshed out the priestess powers to make the ending more satisfying. (See earlier note about budget or them making JU look the strongest at the expense of the female character.)
I would've like to see JU and CY seeing each other when they found out that they could be together forever. Even if it was just them looking at each other from a far. (I just know that their micrexpressions would've slapped) I wish we got more interactions with all of the actors together. I wish that the final scene was them hunting a relic in Daeho and all the village people in awe of the power couple and seeing the faces of their friends and family knowing that they're home. That would've been cute. If they made half of season 2 about them hunting relics, I would've been so happy. I hate that they never cleared Naksu's name. Does the main cast know that she's Naksu or are they still lying to people? That's something that should've been cleared up. I also feel sad about Danggu and Mudoek's relationship that never got closure, because they were besties in S1. I would've also like to see more of Cho Yeon and Naksu's relationship, it was eluded to in one of the episodes that Cho Yeon is aware that Jin Buyeon is Naksu and she still treated her like her sister, which I found very endearing. So I would've like to see them being chosen sisters instead of just blood sisters. I quite like how they never bother to mention to JU that GYJs face is Naksu's original face, like they don't compare the two and JU immediately accepts it because he loves her soul. Cute.
I feel like they didn't let Naksu/CY deal with her trauma. That chick has been through a lot a lot. Like a lot. And they were just like "vibes, she continues". Why, when they gave JU time to heal from his trauma? Yes, in the end it was her choice to give up her sword and not train, but why couldn't they show us her healing process and how she decided that?
This brings me to the pacing of the show. S1 also had shit pacing, let's be honest, but S2 was worse because they could've had so much plot filled episodes and they still decided to give filler episodes. Season 1 kept on opening so many doors that they never closed and that continued on to S2. They dragged that amnesia plot and then the last 2 episodes were rushed. They very much showed the conflicting sides of JU in S2. They showed his reluctance to feel anything towards JBY and him pushing her away (I found him to be really mean at some points) and then his inability to see her suffer and caring for her from a distance. But to drag this out was also unnecessary, he was still mean to her up until ep 7.
That doctor chick was so fucking annoying. She literally had no point in S2 (or S1 really) except to be exceptionally annoying (please see earlier note about how female characters were underutilized and sidelined).
Anyways, regardless of budget and politics the storyline of AOS could've been much better, but I will always be grateful to the Hong sisters for giving me these characters and showing me these actors/actresses.
May 2023 bring in all the good kdramas and HEAs, because 2022 was a bit much. (A part of me hopes that GYJs new action kdrama "moving" is fucking amazing just so that the Hong sisters regret never giving her another action scene.)

Ok so initially I didn't want to make this ask because your blog doesn't allow anon, but I really need to get all these thoughts about the newest helluva boss episode out. This is gonna be very long and may be a bit confusing as I have a lot to say and English isn't my first language, so sorry about that
First of all I must say that I'm quite disappointed about this episode. I half expected it to be a continuation of the season 1 finale where Stolas would confront Blitzo about their relationship, reveal the purpose of the Asmodean crystal, tell Octavia the truth about his and Stella's marriage... basically get it all over with. But when I looked at the thumbnail, I saw that this was going to be about Octavia and Loona, not their parents. And you know what? I was ecstatic that it was! Those two are my favorite characters, plus I think we need a break from the Stolitz storyline to focus on something else, keeping things fresh y'know?
So why was I disappointed? It because the episode ended up revolving around Stolitz anyway, yet somehow their story didn't gain an inch of progress. It seems that the show's writers forgot half-way through that they were supposed to focus on Via and Loona and tried to messily jam the plots of previous episodes into this one. The result was a rushed episode with no focus on any character whatsoever. It started out with we have to find Via because she could be in danger, but suddenly it switched to watching Blitzo pretending to be a good comedic actor, and then we have to see how obsessed Moxxie is with art... In the end we only get a little information about Loona's past, see a tiny bit of Via and Loona's relationship, and see how Stolas and Blitzo interact with each other after the events of the finale
Speaking about Stolitz, I don't know why the hell they act that way the entire episode. Aren't they and their relationship supposed to be at their lowest point? Did they just... conveniently forget about their first "date"?? Or pretend nothing happened??? Why did Stolas act all lovey dovey towards Blitzo when he realized that their relationship was "full of comfortable lies" just a few episodes back? Why didn't Blitzo try to stop him if the idea of Stolas being seriously in love with him was unthinkable? Why didn't both of them show any awkwardness or discomfort when being with each other if their last time hanging out was so disastrous??? Even if they're focusing on finding Via (and then got distracted anyway), the fear and worries of loosing her shouldn't interfere that much with the state of their relationship, and it definitely shouldn't be a miracle that magically bring them back together
Now let's talk about Via and how weirdly forgiving she is towards her dad. Despite Stolas' shitty parenting and him repeatedly hurting her emotionally, she keeps forgiving him for seemingly no reason. But I think there is a reason. I don't know if the writers intend to write her like this, but it looks like Via only forgives Stolas so that he won't leave her. Think about it, Via has had abandonment issues since she was little, and it's hinted that only Stolas cares enough to be with her and comfort her. This could lead to her forming a codependent relationship with him, and this episode kinda proved it with how she just happily watch the fireworks with Stolas after a whole day feeling angry, frustrated and hurt that he "hate(s) [Stella] more than he loves [her]". It also proved that while he does try his best and is better than Stella at parenting, he's still an awful dad and I don't think Via would ever be trully happy with him
Oh and that little speech Loona gave Via about how they both should cut their father figures some slack? I hate it. As someone who grew up with horrible and abusive parents who do care and do love me, I have to remind myself constantly that they are still abusers and what they did to me and my sister is wrong, even when they didn't mean it or didn't know better. Their lack of parenting skills and issues are explanations as to why they fucked up, but not excuses for them to get away with it. And while it's best for abuse victims to eventually forgive their abusers, they should only do that as a way to move on and absolutely not to (re)gain the abusers' affection. But considering that both Loona and Via depend on their dads, plus how Loona is stuck feeling grateful that Blitzo adopted her and is the first person in her life to care and love her, they're not gonna learn this lesson any time soon. I also have a feeling they won't get much development once the Stolitz story is done
Overall, this episode is... bad comparing to all others. To me it's probably the worst so far. For the first time ever I didn't get a satisfying feeling after watching helluva boss and it was thank to this episode. I'm a bit worry for the show's future now, I mean I know it has problems with inconsistency since the middle of season 1 but this has to be the worst case. I'd still watch it, I just don't think I can enjoy it as much as before
Never feel bad about ranting to me guys, I mean look at MY posts, they’re like….essay style long lol, I love hearing y’all out! 💕
And yeah, I agree with everything you said. I’m ganna say it now, this has got to be one of the worst episodes of the series ever. Like I didn’t think we could stoop lower than the Cherub episode and Ozzie’s (in my opinion) but HERE WE ARE lol. As for the writing as a whole, I’d say I hope the show gets better, but I really don’t know. I’m so tired of this show doing certain characters dirty, and only obsessing over this dumb toxic ship. To me personally, every time an episode releases I feel like we scale further and further down the hole, but I’m not going to say there’s 0 hope. It’s up to you as the viewer wether you’re going to keep watching or not, but yeah this episode was….not written well. I had some hope for Adam Neylan, but now that I know he wrote this episode, my faith is ruined, which I know is petty but it’s the truth.

What did you think of the Ted Lasso finale? It was very emotional but everyone in my dash right now seems to have strong opinions about it, either good or bad, and I was wondering what your opinion since you haven't really said.
it had a lot of issues but i guess i feel mostly positive about it (and the whole season in gerenal). i think the more i rewatch nitpick it the more i'll find those loose treads, and there were definitely choices i didn't like, but overall i never felt the ethos of the show was really compromised???
my main issue with this season was time-management and pacing. back when it was still airing, during the fist half of the season, i kept feeling like they were wasting precious screentime on new, under-developed side characters, but also kept hoping it would all tie itself together in the end. there were also a lot of misleads i didn't really understand. looking back, it’s not that they were wasting time, it’s that a lot should just have been cut. the episodes were very long. i think maybe they were worried about balancing the comedy and the drama, but they excelled at that in the previous seasons in a way that didn’t seem organic in s3… but in terms of the actual main character arcs i’m not that mad, personally. i understand that, considering where s2 left things, a lot of us were expecting a more “confrontational” season (nate and ted, rebecca and rupert, jamie and his dad, even roy and keeley) with more tension filled scenes that would end up driving the narrative forward by way of friction. i’m sure that would have been satisfying in it’s own way, and yet there’s something about their refusal to be antagonist, the softness of coming into yourself and your role and your worth on your own, with just the right push…. i mean that’s the whole ethos of ted lasso right there.
like. it’s the general message of “love people for who they are and forgive them for who they aren’t”, but it’s also “i give you a job, the life part is up to you”. the entire spirit of the Lasso Way is that it’s just the initial domino that sets off the effect. there’s no guidelines, other leading with his heart and creating a support system that harnesses people’s talents. ted doesn’t drag people kicking and screaming into being a better version of themselves, but it’s just that much easier to do when you know you’ve got someone in your corner. which after two years culminates in a final season that, in my opinion, is all about finally having the confidence to shed negative self-thoughts, motivators and coping mechanisms, even if some storylines were certainly clearer and more well-executed than others: roy sheds self-doubt and petty hang-ups and manages to step into his leadership role more confidently. colin breaks free from his fear of not being accepted by his peers by coming out to them. keeley relinquishes some of her internalized shame, inferiority-complex and the stigma of her public image, being able to conciliate it with being a taken seriously as a business woman. rebecca let’s go of her hatred of rupert, jamie of his hatred of his dad, and nate of his self-hatred. and ted finally unshackles from his incapacitating fear of abandonment and of not being a good father to his son.
but, i think when it comes down to it ted himself was almost more cathalist than character for the narrative/message. he comes into these people's lives and he changes it forever, but it's not really his home, "it was never really about him". and i can understand people disliking this, finding it a bit cruel. i think i do as well, a little. but what u gonna do abt it 🤷🏻‍♀️ i'm choosing to not let it take away from the actual spirit

Ok honestly any rivusa shipper will enjoy the comics and their stories like as a child (I collected the comics from the debut issue and in the country I live every month they would realise a new issue so I’d buy the winx comics every month) I watched the show but the comics made me genuinely love the characters and their relationship ESPECIALLY rivusa and it’s honestly thanks to the comics they solidified their spot as my otp. I mean rivusa have a whole wiki section on the winx fandom wiki dedicated solely to their comic storyline and honestly it’s so iconic. They just have great moments (like I rmb there was one issue where Musa was panicking to look presentable while she was gonna go meet riven in magix city and once she got off the bus to meet him as he’s waiting at the bus stop there’s a whole frame of them holding each other and staring into each other’s eyes and he calls her beautiful😍😍😍 and in that issue when the girls ask about him there’s a whole frame of her heart eyes with hearts in the bg as she raves to the girls “riven is very sweet and kind when you get on his good side” like PLEASE YOUR HONOUR I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and I distinctly rmb from my childhood this issue where the winx and specialists get stranded on an island back In time and Musa and Brandon are knocked out cold and even tho there’s no dialogue riven is just carrying musa to safety bridal style🥺🥺 (I think this ig acc @/rivusa._ did this thing where they screenshotted the moment he carries her in the animated cartoon and in fate and the in the comics and put all 3 side by side and idk there’s smth so fulfilling and heartwarming knowing riven will always carry musa to safety when she needs it in every version of them😭) so yes if you ever have time please go read the comics it really made me love the winx franchise as a whole even more
I've been slowly reading the comics and I'm obsessed with their s1 interactions, tho I mostly open them to see if I can make thematic edits XD
It really shows how Riven is more interested in school stuff over dating, while Musa is easily swept up by crushes
It's really cute. Riven hears something maybe dangerous and he gives it his full focus and Musa is trying to flirt with him because she doesn't think it's dangerous
They have completely different priorities, which I think is a adorable way to keep them apart lol
Omg!! That must of been so much fun!!!
The comics actually involve the assassin's that Sky's family has been so scared of in the story and I'm really excited to see how it includes other details the show glossed over
The more you talk up the comics the more I want to read them 👀
I think all of the couples have a couple part of their wiki but don't quote me on that, it's the middle of the night and I don't feel like checking
OMGGG NO NO NO NO THATS SO CUTE!!!
Musa definitely worries about her outfits, for no reason tho bc Riven is like 😍 abt her always. I imagine the most ideal response she wants to get is looking so good he forgets words exist for a while
Nfkskskejsjskskwjjw Musa and Riven are the epitome of two mentally ill people dating that are just similar enough that they understand each other without being too similar but so different that their friends are like "what???" Riven definitely stuggles to let people in, but he clearly wants to help people by going to RF and it's just 🥰🥰🥰 he doesn't trust people but he wants to protect them and I love him
OHHHHHH JESTER TOLD ME ABOUT THAT COMIC IT WAS APPARENTLY V GOOD AND IM EVEN MORE EXCITED TO READ IT NOW TNX U
Riven's love language is acts of service and physical affection, change my mind. He would never leave Musa in danger come hell or high water and I love him!!! He's doing his best and it's amazing!!! Musa from her actions in s1 isn't used to having people she can rely on so seeing that Riven will always try to help her gives her the warm fuzzies
I've always had this hc that before Musa and her dad start understanding each other, and her dad is still deathly terrified of Musa going the way of her mother if she joins the industry, Riven offers to help her get an apartment. Like no questions asked. You dad sucks? Let's help you move out. He didn't have a clear picture, Musa's dad is over protective the exact opposite of Riven's and he was projecting just a bit, but Musa was all like 🥰🥹 when he offered
I love them your honor that is all

we get it, you're gay. why you gotta make it your whole personality
You have got to be kidding me with this!
First of all, this blog is about existing in this difficult space of being a queer Mormon, so yes, me being gay is gonna come up a lot.
Second, non-queer people talk about their gender identity and sexual orientation ALL THE TIME! It's so common it's like a fish who doesn't notice the water they swim in. You don't notice the heteronormativity in the world where you exist.
I'm here to provide the receipts.
—————————
Here's examples of cis straight people making it their whole personality:
I had a co-worker who would check out every "hot" woman who walked by his office window. His office was on one side of a corner of the building and mine on the other. He'd watch her walk from his office, then come to mine to keep watching. Creepy!
I cannot even guesstimate how many "I'd do her" comments I have heard
Everyone who's single talks about their dating life, who they're crushing on, and so on.
Married people and folks with children ALWAYS be mentioning this. "I can't stay, gotta pick my kids up from school." (If I was like the person who sent the anonymous ask, I'd respond with "I don't care what your reason is for leaving, why you insist on telling me about your heteronormative life?")
All the times I've heard someone say 'she and her husband are trying for kids.' She basically announced she & her husband are having lots of sex and no one bats an eye.
Have you ever watched commercials? They're full of messages about hetero sex and cis gender identity. Think about all the razors blades or body wash aimed at cis men: Mach3, Xtreme, Lawn Mower, Axe, Odor Armor. People complain about LGBTQ being forced down their throat when there happens to be a gay character on a TV show or included in a movie, but we live with their nonsense being shoved at us incessantly
Speaking of TV and movies, it doesn't matter the topic--dinosaurs have come to life, broken out of their cages, and are killing people, how can we stop them?--somehow they manage to fit in a man and a woman falling in love. Can't we have a show without all that hetero romance stuff that isn't central to the main storyline?
There is a secret code of what's acceptable for cis straight men and they are very worried about not following the code, which is why there's such a stigma around letting their son take a dance class or wear pink, and why most cis straight men are very uncomfortable about getting a massage from a man, or getting a pedicure, or any number of things. Those things are against the code and they don't want to be mistaken for anything other than a cis het man. They think about this a lot, it governs a lot of their decisions. It's pathetic.
Who is it that’s making their sexual orientation or gender identity their whole identity?
———————————————————————
People who say things like "don't make being gay your whole personality," really mean "please barely ever mention it," or "can you please just go back into the closet?" That's because they're the ones obsessively focused on it, they can't ignore any comment that indicates I'm queer.

Okay, SO. This is a long and highly speculative ask that could potentially make sense to answer after 6.14 airs and we know more information, but right now I'm going off of spoilers from the early release. Eddie ends the episode single and open to dating but not actively dating. As far as I know, he didn't yell, "I'M STRAIGHT!" during the episode. And sadly, that is the best possible outcome that I could imagine from a writer like Nadia and a showrunner like Kristen.
What I've seen others continue to worry about - and have worried about myself, if I'm being honest - is that Marisol returns and since Eddie is now in a "good place"for dating, he will choose her (although I think this is a somewhat unnecessary storyline to show that he is in a "good place" because it wasn't like he was in a "bad place" generally to date after Ana...he just didn't want to date HER, which I thought was the entire fucking point of that storyline, but I digress).
Marisol's actress' captions was, "I don't know if it's out yet so I can't quite say but I just love when I work." We know that she posted it in late March. People fixated on the "it" as meaning one episode. And if that's true, I'm just very confused how she wouldn't know if her episode was out?? Especially if she was going to be playing a fairly significant role in terms of Eddie dating?? And if she's coming back in a later episode, like 6.17 or even the finale, how would she not be aware of the much later airdate?? I realize I sound a bit unhinged with the question marks, but the actress has been in the business for years and doesn't seem like an idiot. It just struck me as weird!
The other view of this, which is more negative, is that she meant "it" by "the news that I'm going to be returning to the show." Maybe she assumed that the show or her agent was going to release that information and she was waiting for the "okay" to say more. Her posting that selfie at Fox around the filming of the finale could support that theory that she's gearing up for a more serious role as a love interest (hence making the "it" being "the return"). Again, this is negative, but I don't know if I'm reading too much into what "it" means here because I find it unrealistic that she wouldn't know when her episode comes out...
ALL of that said, it's possible that she did film for 6.14 or even an earlier episode and her scene got cut (hence why she deleted the picture)? Maybe the episode WAS supposed to end with Eddie choosing to date her, but they decided to nix the scene. It would make a lot of sense because Nadia was the one who created her character.
Honestly, I'm going to need a leak or something about this character because every time I see an anonymous ask or theory about Marisol...the suspense of where this is going for Eddie ... AHHHH! LOL. What are your thoughts??
Well, it was good to wait until after 6x15 to answer this because we know from the synopsis guest cast list that she will be back in 6x17. I'm fairly certain with the lid they have kept on any of the women around Buck and Eddie, that she was probably told not to say anything. That pic she posted was, unlike her other ones from 6a, not on set or in her trailer or in costume or anything, it was just her outside a studio that 911 fans happened to know is the one 911 uses. Most people wouldn't have been able to pick up on that so she probably thought it was safe to post but of course the whole thing blew up and that's likely why the pic was taken down. We know the pick that was posted of L was also taken down when that sparked some backlash as I'm sure the show didn't want anyone to know she was back on set. No one really knew anything about Natalia until the synopsis came out so that was kept pretty under wraps too and ONLY really sparked talk because of Aisha's live where that name came up (and we all saw Oliver's reaction because he KNEW what fans were gonna do hearing he was going on dates).
IDK what the plan is for Marisol if it's for more than one episode or not, but this late in the season I'm sure it's all just testing the waters to see how the majority of the audience responds to the character so they can plan out season 7. I personally don't care where it's going because I'm never going to like or praise or accept the show throwing random women at Buck or Eddie at this point. They already both had THEE breakup where they did the thing they needed to do (mostly) with Eddie putting himself first instead of what he thought he had to do for Chris, and Buck being the one to walk away instead of being left again (even if he only did it because someone else got hurt and not because it was what HE needed to do for HIMSELF because HE was miserable, but that's on KR for fucking up that storyline to push L and not ending BT back in 5a 🤷🏻‍♀️). At this point, it's all just a repeat of storylines while they try to find women that will stick with the audience which to me is just bad storytelling from a bad showrunner. Not that I don't think they could make it work out in the end and give some reason for Buck and Eddie getting growth out of it. Hell, fandom has come up with plausible explanations by the droves! I'm just not sure if the show WILL, because Kristen has proven herself to be spiteful and doesn't see Buddie at all, and unless Timmy comes back and takes the reins or someone else takes over I just see this endless cycle continuing to the end of the show and Buck and Eddie being single so they can throw out the tired PR line that it allows all fans to be happy and see what they want in that relationship which is another way of saying they refused to commit one way or the other because they're cowards. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Omg, when I saw your masterlist for the The Darkling, I go FERAL, said FINALLLLYYYYY
I thought you never write him, I'm really surprised. What's make you you decide to finally write him???
Hello anon!!!
I'm very happy you're excited that this new character joins my masterlist!
Alright, sorry for the rather explanation ahead 😅
Basically, what happened is that I read the SaB trilogy. And it changed everything. Because I love the Darkling in the show, but it's Ben, so it was hard for me to tell if I just liked him because Ben did an amazing job, or because the character in itself was great. I struggle a little with writing villains, so I didn't want to risk doing a bad job, or to get you all excited and then after a couple of tries decide to backpedale and to not write for him in the end. It's always a little stressful to me to write for new characters, and I've started writing again not so long ago, so I wasn't ready to take the risk after watching the show. (I have however already written for him, will post the fic next week, so I'm sure, we're good to go, don't worry)
The problem with the show, for me, is that I was not particularly interested in Alina's storyline tbh. I was more excited to see the Crows (like many viewers, I reckon). And I was excited to see the Darkling because it was Ben, but not really because it was the Darkling (do you know what I mean?). And I didn't realise in the show how terrible the situation for Grisha is literally everywhere, not just in Fjerda or Ravka. So I wasn't that passionate about the Darkling tbh, and my attachment to him was 90% caused by how awesome Ben was on this show.
But then I read the books, and several things changed:
- I now hate Alina with a passion and if I didn't like her in the show, I genuinely wanted her to die in the books (sorry to all the Alina stans... I can't with her...)
-The books to me showed better how Grisha are safe literally NOWHERE. Like... there is no safe place. They are rounded up and killed in Ravka the second the Darkling's power wavers and the Little Palace is compromised. They are experiments for scientists in Shu Han, they are burnt alive in Fjerda, they are bought as slaves in Kerch. And I didn't feel how desperate the situation was in the show. And that made me turn full on team Darkling, because then Alina's crazy hope that everyone is going to live happily ever after all of a sudden is plain ridiculous... it's been going for centuries, it's not gonna change all of a sudden. And no matter if the Darkling's methods are ruthless, he is the only one who managed to offer a semblance of safety to his people in centuries.
-And then there's the Darkling himself. I can't say that his portrayal was more appealing to me in the books than in the show (who can beat Ben on that? No one...). But there are details that I really liked in the books compared to the show, including how endangered being an amplifier makes him even among his own people, and the fact that no one knows his name in the books. I loved that, because it shows that despite his efforts with the Little Palace, even if he manages to take the throne, he will always be alone, and he was always alone. And I felt the toil of eternity a little bit more in the books. Which is always super fun to play with as a writer cause... angst... you know 😉 I also loved the call back in book three on the 'Fine, make me your villain' (I don't know if you've read the books, but I will explain): because at the end of book 3, The Darkling wants to lure Alina in the Fold, and for that he threatens to slaughter Grisha children that Alina had placed in Keramzin after the destruction of the Little Palace. Lots of things happen, but Alina does get into the Fold and she asks him where the children are and he basically answers 'well, they're probably having lunch or playing in the garden in the safe house where I've left them' and she's super confused by that like 'you said you were going to kill everyone!' And there there is a call back on the idea that... she made him her villain. He acted like one because it served his interests best, but now that she's convinced, he doesn't even need to actually do anything, the threat is enough. And i love how he just goes 'they are innocent Grisha children, why on earth would I do that? Don't you think enough people on our side have died already?' And I just... I love it. The manipulation of it. His image. The... everything, that scene is so important bfbfjfkfkfjfjkfnd (sorry... going into fangirl mode a bit)
In conclusion: I loved the Darkling for Ben in the show, and as I am not used to write for villains, I doubted myself too much to write for him. But now I've read the books and I have turned full on Team Darkling, he is now my baby, my child, my husband, I love him, I want to give hugs and kisses and keep him safe and help him commit genocides. So here we are...

i was gonna put this in your replies but it got kind of long so I'll make it an Official Ask... you joked abt magisterium being practice for cassie writing twp so genuine question if aaron DOES die do you think it forebodes something in twp or says something about where the series is going. or are there just some similar vibes. and in general do you have any fear of ur friends dru ty kit livvy actually dying in the series... I don't know how brutal cassie is I don't remember anyone dying in tmi but of course I know of the Agonies secondhand. anyway. this is kind of a huge bummer sorry but I'm genuinely curious. also re: livvy I've never thought to ask but how real is her haunting. like is she a legit ghost. if that's the case how do u think her storyline should end... can they bring her back? didn't kit and ty do some really fucked up shit trying to bring her back. or was that for someone else. well I think they should try again for her like real friends... also does she or dru have an involvement in the sherlock stuff or is it just kit and ty's weird little thing. that was a lot of questions what can I say I have an inquisitive nature... alright bye love u
on the twp front, no i think aaron dying was just her practice for livvy ie died and some freak brought them back wrong... the magesterium trio isn't actually very comparable to the wicked powers trio or even the ty livvy kit trio, so i think we've already seen the worst of cassie's plans in regards to like. necromancy. definitely twp is going to majorly revolve around livvy as a ghost being like, put to rest i guess. there's no way she's coming back unfortch that girl is a martyr </3 i don't think she'd ever kill a main tsc character so ty kit and dru are safe from her doing the whole "subversion of expectations" thing they ere going for with magisterium. livvy of course has never truly bee a main main character so. she was not safe.... and she still isn't. it's hard to truly consider her "dead" where the series is because well she's still very much there. we can see her. she has narration she's around yk, but also. you know she's a ghost. yeah she is a legit ghost! they tried to bring her back but ty is a FAIL necromancer and they never even had her body so she only came back as a ghost that no one but them can see.... it's crazytown seriously... yeah they ripped a hole in the fabric between worlds but it's chill right now so i guess we're not worried. @ cassandra. girl when's that gonna be relevant again...
also no the girls do not have an involvement in the sherlock holmes thing because if they did it would be normal. but they're just not normal and never will be.... also imagine your twin brother is obsessed with sherlock holmes and he really really badly wants to have a little watson-esque sidekick but he never asks you. i'd be so pissed livvy girl you kept incredible grace under pressure with that one. he nicknamed his computer watson but didn't include her. dude. i mean i can't imagine she'd really want to be involved in his weird ass detective roleplay that badly but still. she was out there begging him to be her parabatai and he was like i can't i have to go to shadowhunter detective school. and then kit came along and he was like hey do you want to be my sidekick/partner in crime? i would have killed him are you kidding.
anyway. love you tee <3 love your inquisitive nature :)

I can't believe they were actually going to have Mateo be secretly in love with Marjan. I guess they have done more ridiculous things, but I don't think that would have made sense. Mateo has always been clearly shown to have little brother-type feelings for Marjan. I'm not sure where a Mateo in love with Marjan storyline would even go. Obviously, it wasn't going to lead to Marjan and Mateo getting together. The only use for it would be if they wanted a reason to break Nancy and Mateo up, but it doesn't really seem like that was their goal. My guess for what that cut storyline was is that Nancy was going to get jealous and think Mateo had feelings for Marjan but it would end up being a misunderstanding. If that's what it was, I'm very glad it was cut. It would be so unnecessary to have Nancy getting jealous over Marjan while Marjan was lying in a hospital bed after getting shot. It potentially could have painted Nancy in a bad light to have her worrying about that when everyone else was worried about Marjan's injuries. Still, it is strange at times watching that episode that still contains obvious remnants of that abandoned storyline! It's hard not to wonder what they were doing.
Yeah agreed I am morbidly curious what they were gonna do but I am also glad it was cut because???? What. This would just have been a huge mess. Marjan has explicitly stated she wants a partner from her faith so she is not going to like Mateo back, and he's dating someone else from the group, I can't quite work out what the writers were thinking

the entire rtr storyline bc let's be real. i'm probably not gonna use it for anything. if i am i at least have it written down. it's a win for everybody!
cw: government atrocities and distrust, surveillance paranoia, kidnapping (adult, child (mentioned)), human experimentation, body horror. yeah this was a dark story for someone who created it at 14
oh yeah there's different timelines and shit in the entire oc story. this is one of them. reused a bunch of characters a bunch of times lmao
.
rebs the robot (generation 2) is about this experimental android (rebs) escaping this government facility, taking with her important documents about fucked up experiments that the city's top scientists have been doing to keep the public compliant. the government is run by scientists so this is really fucking important information. the android flees to a house that she recognizes as her owner's, with the widow (cassie) of her creator (evan) and her stepson (zac) living in it. cassie recognizes rebs and has another body to put her consciousness into. the government is able to track rebs' location ofc but not before cassie is able to put the files on her hard drive onto one of her's and make copies of the documents. cassie gives them the fucked up body and is like "oh she fell super bad and oof ouchied her hard drive" and they believe it.
zac calls up his friend (amber) and is like "heyyyy we have government documents" and she instantly comes over. amber is a known online predator hunter, so well at her job that she gets paid by and is technically part of the government but isn't in control of anything but what she's doing. she's like "let me have them. what are they gonna do, fire me?" and cassie's like "that makes sense" and gives them to her (good idea because amber and zac are extremely close friends and would never go behind each other's backs (genuine)).
amber leaks everything on an alt after things settle down a bit so cassie isn't instantly linked to it. no one knows where it came from bc cassie wiped that specific hard drive after she read through them all. she learned about the Horrors, including law enforcement (androids) recording everything they see and hear, man-made horrors beyond comprehension, and plans for relaxing chemicals to be released into their oxygen (it's an underground city). cassie has photograpic memory so she's not worried about losing it, less so when it's leaked. the government do some crowd control or whatever but publically cancel their plans to do the chemical thing since everyone's aware of it now. they can't get the public to forget about the other two tho.
the story kinda splits for a bit with amber picking up her brother (oliver) in the hospital, her and zac and their friends (felix, tommie) doing shit, and cassie and zac's adventures.
amber and oliver
oliver was involved in an incident where he lost his arm and half of his body got badly burned and was sent to the hospital. he recovered enough to be able to go home again, after months of being there. amber tells him how she's been doing like she hasn't doing that the entire time he was in there. he's so ready to see the world again!
friend shit
so character time. felix is this chatty guy who got his legs crushed in a mining incident (#1) a while ago. he's able to walk but not for long, he uses both a cane and a wheelchair. tommie is genuinely annoying but they tolerate him because a lot of shop owners like him and give him discounts (and he's the one who pays for everything because he thinks they like him). they do shit and stuff, mainly going to a bar and talking about recent events.
cassie zac REBS moments
cassie rehabilitates rebs back into her old body bc cassie's special interest is in robotics and is very good at it. rebs' old body is so different from her escaped body that no one cares about her being in public. rebs is so ready to see the world again.
.
also cassie and zac go for a walk and find an Animal Companion (scraps). what the fuck is an Animal Companion? it's a robot Companion shaped like an Animal (in this case a cat) because they figured animals not seeing the sun was a bit inhumane. they were once planned to be mass produced and shipped out to the whole city but some freak incident happened involving them so they didn't do anything with them. just left the prototypes to rot.
so she takes scraps home and fixes him up because she actually worked on the prototypes and since no one ever did anything with any of them he's hers now. when he boots up again it's evident that he's Fucked Up™ real bad bc he's terrified. he's all freaking out because he can't find this little girl that he needs to save.
then they go on this whole expedition where scraps leads the crew to a hidden passageway that leads to where a lot of experiments took place (abandoned) and they find some things still alive. which includes the girl scraps was trying to save (morgan) (zac's sister). like she's barely alive due to starvation and infections but they take her to the hospital. no one knows what happened to her so no one involved is in any danger. the news catches word of this and sends a camera crew and a reporter (infra) to interview her and the crew. which quickly goes south when infra sees zac and morgan and breaks down crying for a reason that neither crew understands (but i do; she's a third sibling of them but her brain was put into another person's body. so she was an experiment as well).
morgan gets better over time but it takes a while. other shit happens. including:
oliver gets gay thoughts over zac, zac gets gay thoughts over oliver. they're both too awkward to say anything to each other until cassie bluntly says "just go on a date with each other already" without realizing the awkwardness between those two, not knowing that they needed that extra push.
.
amber takes zac, felix, and tommie to a nightclub to ease their minds about everything that's happening. nothing happened to felix or tommie they're just there for moral support and to pay for drinks. they have some fun until tommie drugs and kidnaps zac without the other two knowing (to his knowledge). he takes zac to his house and locks him up, revealing that he's a scientist and wants to experiment on him. he's kinda stupid because he wasn't very sneaky with getting him out of there and someone told amber but zac is saved only after he's injected with something.
rebs diagnoses him with oof ouchie disease but it's not fatal. it just makes zac feel out of it for a while. until one day where he suddenly gains four appendages/tentacles out of his back and becomes more "feral" (still has human thinking capabilities but less function about it). rebs notes that the appendages are like another experiment that combined a slew of animal dna but is like "yeah idk what's going on with him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯".
.
also scraps opens up to rebs about his failure to protect morgan and how he feels awful about it. he also tells her what had happened; there was a mining incident (#2) where a tunnel collapsed onto evan and danette (infra's brain source) and he wanted to get morgan away from it. some fuckin guy kicked him in the head on purpose and made him malfunction, and he has no idea what happened afterwards. he doesn't know how much time had passed while he was broken.
rebs opens up to scraps as well. she explains how she has coding where she can feel strong emotions and the government didn't like that at all so they hired someone to take her hard drive from cassie, which was kinda fucked up because cassie has hemophilia and is low functioning and created rebs to specifically be her caregiver. also the coding was done by evan so rebs really meant a lot to her.
she also talks about how mean the people who took her were but they erased her memory a bunch so she doesn't remember all of it. i haven't really fleshed any of that out but i kinda don't want to. also also she talks about her escape and how she shot a couple people on her way out and doesn't know if they're dead or alive. she has mixed feelings about it.
.
so eventually morgan heals fully and is able to talk about what happened. basically the thing happened when she and zac were around 10 and she was kidnapped when scraps (at the time named tom) malfunctioned. she was experimented on and lowkey tortured but can't put anything about it into words because it's too complicated for her. she asks where her mom is and cassie's like "umm... awkward 😳" because she fought morgan and zac's birth mother (theresa) to the death and won soon after the kidnapping happened to get the rights to adopt zac. the specifics has its own infodump to get through but basically theresa was a cunt lmao it's good she died.
the government HATES that morgan came out with that interview because it obviously made them look even worse. so they unleash their greatest experiment: the giant abomination that is the slew of animal dna that tommie got the injection shit from. but it goes rouge and smashes through the ceiling of the city because they couldn't control it. WHOOPS. everyone's eyes hurt from the sun but eventually everyone rebels and tries to get to the surface because no one's been able to get up there in decades, if not centuries. haven't really decided yet. they don't go down without a fight but the crew (cassie, zac, rebs, scraps/tom, morgan, amber and oliver, and felix too for fun) all escape to a different city together. happy end for everyone :]
.
this isn't even mentioning the dissident (android who escaped to the surface and broadcasts its life up there), the other animal companions that are still kicking (clutter, kyla, other minor ones), cassie's warehouse, the numerous other experiments (clothing that can be worn all year round without discomfort, tera (giant android who's a whole motherlode of data), stylenna (computer virus), etc.), leslie and their superhero LARPing, morgan and zac's schizophrenia moments, the world war that put them underground in the first place... yeah. there's so much here.
.
also yes i got rebs' name from rebornica lmao. too fond of it to change it now
