Buck totally body checked Eddie on purpose and he got hurt
(still think he might hit his head cause he looks ok in the loft stills but he might bleed and they think it might be something serious first or his foot/leg cause we can't see them)
So this
is not only Eddie scolding him about spiralling and retreating cause he feels guilty and telling him that he's not mad and that they're ok
but
It's also Eddie telling him that nothing and no one will come between them and change their relationship
And this
is where Eddie pulls him into a hug
But I'm still hoping this whole thing will lead to the

Wouldn't it be delicious if Tommy talked to him and be like...

I think the next step we need to see is another station present during a call and seeing two of its firefighters bantering and roasting each other, maybe one of them gets in serious danger - lost contact, not answering their calls and all that - and the other just losing it - something we have seen over and over again with someone else - and Buck or Eddie saying something like ‘thought the two of you couldn’t stand each other’ and the other replying ‘yeah, no. You don’t get it. That’s my wife/husband’ which… changes everything.
And once that person is safe, the husband/wife would finally relax and we, the audience, see something shift in both Buck’s and Eddie’s faces

so much happened this episode but I'm only gonna focus on the buck eddie and tommy of it all.
my thoughts are still all over the place but we've gotten a lot of hints on buddie and oh man do I hope that's endgame
I am really liking buck and tommy right now though
the date was so sad. buck really put his foot in it but eddie talking him through it at the end and getting him to call him was wonderful
I love these two so much and ohmygod do I hope beyond hope that they actually get together. the buddie hug had me soaring
theyre so fucking supportive of each other and its lovely to see
i loved buck's convo with maddie and eddie's with bobby
at this point I think bobby and maddie both suspect that they have feelings for each other, and i imagine hen, chimney, and athena also suspect. the boys have been so obvious and oblivious that i imagine everyone thinks theyre gonna get together
and both convos have got me really thinking that this season might end with buddie confession at the very least but maybe even buddie established for an episode or two
there are a few interviews that have been going around that have really changed my views/hopes for this season. i at first wanted bucktommy to last the whole season but after Lou's interview I'm okay with a few episodes and then them amicably ending things.
i want tommy and bucky's time together to really help buck become more comfortable with himself and for him to learn more about who is. this side of him that he wasnt entirely aware of

this man is fucking adorable
I really want Marisol and Eddie to end. The nun thing was hilarious but her moving in so fast just confirmed how much I don't like them.
mr eddie "overprotective papa bear" diaz would never let someone move in that quickly. you cannot get me to believe he would cuz buck hasnt moved in. besides buck the only other person i could see moving in kinda fast woulda been shannon if they had the chance to reconcile and rekindle their relationship
I honestly miss Shannon. I think besides Buck she really is the only one that seemed to click with Eddie. i think their reconciliation and rekindling couldve been a really beautiful story.
also im fully jumping on the ship that buddie is gonna be a thing by the end of season 7. the interview with lou plus the one with ryan are really making me think this will happen.
i thought they might wait for season 8 but the rollercoaster that was this episode is making me think that we'll end with buddie being official
which would be fucking amazing
what does this mean for bucktommy? i think tommy knows that buck is in love with eddie. the surprise he felt when buck told him he wanted his attention really shows that plus everything that happened this episode. tommy telling buck he wasnt ready had so many layers to it and i think eddie is one of them.
lou saying that tommy could been with either buck or eddie and they just went with buck also tells me that this will never be a serious relationship. im expecting them to be over two thirds the way through the season based on this interview and some kind of end of the buddie slowburn we've been going through
buddie slowburn is my favourite kind of 911 fanfic so im not even mad if the pay off actually pays off
i never thought we would get here with buddie seemingly being endgame in canon
man im so glad abc picked up this show
only complaint, need more ravi, josh, and may. i need the nash-grant plus buck family to have some serious family time.
thoughts are still all over the place. sorry for this long ass mess of a post. im not a coherent writer, cant journal for shit tbh. im gonna go read some buddie fics to settle down and i hope/pray that this actually happens
(low-key though if all three get together i dont think my heart could take it but id be very very very happy. but like it needs to be done well. no one feeling left out. the chemistry between all three of them is off the charts. i can totally see why tommy and eddie were a possible route.)

My vision: Eddie figured out his feelings when he was shot. He spent a year repressing them and in the aftermath of his breakdown those feelings are a part of what he talks to Frank about. With Frank, Eddie comes to terms with what they mean for him, for his sexuality, and for his relationship with Buck.
6B's domestic buddifer unit is probably totally self indulgent on Eddie's part lmao! He has no reason to say no to Chris or Buck and it'd look more suspicious if he did, anyway. And then the lightening strike. And then DO MORE. And then the excuse to dress Buck up and take him out. He looks like a deer in the headlights when Pepa begins setting him up because he's still trying to figure out how to tell Buck how he feels and he can't tell Pepa about it until Buck knows. So he goes on the dates and he makes his excuses and then Buck says "she sees me."
Buck says "she sees me" about someday he's talked to for no more than an hour. About somebody who is far more interested in what he's gone through than she is interested in who he is. About someone who- from Eddie's pov- doesnt actually see him, not at all thank you very much.
It felt like a physical slap. Like a searing flame eating his heart. But here's his answer, here's the proof: Buck doesn't see him like that. Buck doesn't see anyone but woman like that.
And so Eddie had to start admitting that it's never gonna happen, Buck is never gonna see him as an option. It's time to move on, god, he has to move on. Queue Marisol.
But now. Now Buck is dating a dude. A dude who is arguably very similar in personality to Eddie. And soo Eddie will have to think: it's not that I'm a guy. It's just me. He just doesn't like me that way.
I want Eddie hurt and miserable and bitchy and unable to tell anyone why. I want him to do a complete 180° and shut Tommy out because he can't even look at the guy that gets to kiss Buck's perfect lips. I want a buddie divorce era so that when they finally, finally come back together they build a strong foundation that never cracks or wavers. And I would prefer if Marisol and Tommy didn't get their hearts broken along the way.

Imagine. Buck and Eddie are still single by the time the Madney wedding rolls around. Tia Pepa says she can help Eddie find a date but he tells her he doesn��t need one, and he invites her. He hopes that by bringing her to see the family he’s built, that she doesn’t have to worry about him.
The unintended side-effect is that she gets to observe her nephew and his best friend in the wild and realizes the reason Eddie can’t find a girlfriend is because he already has a malewife.

No but hear me out: Eddie freaking out about Chris growing up and Buck being the Bestest Friend trying to make Eddie feel better or maybe even laughing at him but then Eddie points out to Buck the things that HIM and Christopher do that Chris may not want to do anymore soon (like going to the zoo together or reading a bed time story it could be anything) and Buck becoming a bawling mess and literally Worse than Eddie right away and then they wallow together because their son is growing up and there's nothing they can do about it.

However. I need to put it out there.
Imagine Buck and Eddie getting ready for their first date. Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen is playing in the background as they're getting ready. I mean them with clothes all over their own beds, undecided about what to wear, nervous to the high heavens - Chris roasting Eddie within an inch of his life in the meantime because 'Dad, it's Buck, you could wear that t-shirt you like with a hole at the bottom and he'd still like you!' - and once they're ready they get in their cars, because they'll meet somewhere - "Eddie, we're in the middle of an energy crisis and I can drive myself, there's no need to come and get me from the loft-" - and they're driving and it's fine, until something happens, maybe a 7.1 earthquake, and they can't reach other, they can't meet, they can't call each other, but that's not the point, the point is that they both know the other person was driving and they don't know whether they're both fine or not.
But they're first responders, so they... first-respond (?) and they realise that they've been basically working together the whole day and they meet in the middle. Where they just kiss, because fuck this we've been dating for years anyway.

theyre talking about buddie in interviews and im living for it. oliver and ryan admit to reading and sharing buddie fan content. what a time to be alive.
dude ever since eddie was introduced with what a man playing and buck staring at that hot hot man i thought id be forced to languish staring at two ever pining but never admitting men the way i did with spn/destiel. but nope i am so much more confident with buddie (still protecting my heart but a little optimism is good for the soul) and i cannot wait for it to finally happen.
all the different quips and remarks dropped in this episode have made me so fucking hopeful and god i hope i dont suffer from heartbreak in the end. if they get together though, it'll be 5 for 5 amazing couples, thought 1 couple is no longer in the show.

do you know what. i almost don't want a double date. like yes that would be Everything to me and i will treasure it so deeply if that's what we get. but the idea of eddie and marisol going off to their table on the other side of the restaurant but eddie's fixated on buck and tommy. and it's just cutting between eddie being like "buck was being weird right? like that's not just me? he was being weird? do you think he's okay? he's not still feeling guilty about my ankle? i hope nothing's happened with tommy." and marisol's just like 😐 meanwhile buck's like wigging out fully like "shit tommy do you think he knows? not that i mind that he knows! like im really happy to be here with you and im not embarrassed or anything i judt kind of thought id get to tell him on my own terms. you don't think he knows do you? god what if he knows?" and tommy is realising that buck isn't Not in love with eddie, but he's very deeply in love with eddie and just doesn't realise it yet.
