The golden, misty, mysterious magick of autumn stirs colors in the soul of the Art Witch
Let's explore a bushel of ways to bring your creative magick out to play this season with 13 Autumn Inspired Grimoire Prompts!
1) Record an autumn color collection. Create a page cataloguing the autumnal colors you notice in your environment to heighten your magickal vision and drink in the seasonal beauty
2) Dab cobs of corn with paint or ink. Roll the corn cob onto the page for harvest inspired textured backgrounds or papers for later use.
3) Create a page dedicated to all of the beautiful poetic names for the autumn moons: Harvest Moon, Singing Moon, Wine Moon, Sturgeon Moon. Make up a name for a full moon inspired by your own environment.
4) Write a list of all the teachers you are grateful for: spiritual, craft, vocation, ancestral, animal, digital and academic teachers.
5) Trees are the star of autumn. Dedicate a page to honoring Dryads! Leave your book in a tree overnight for tree blessings and green magick inspiration.
6) Experiment painting with fruit juices to invoke bountiful harvest energy. Try pomegranate, cranberry, berries and wine
7) Use acrylic paint, paint pens or metallic paint to decorate dry leaves with patterns, words of power and symbols for all the blessings of the season.
8) Make a cornucopia shaped pocket. The cornucopia is a powerful symbol nourishment and spiritual abundance. Tuck drawings, magazine cuttings, words or symbols inside the cornucopia pocket to invite abundance and gratitude.
9) Write an affirmation to help you navigate change gracefully.
10) Use boxing tape to create specimen tags of autumn herbs, flowers and leaves. Sprinkle or place your dry botanical specimen on the sticky side of the clear tape. Seal with a second piece of tape and burnish out the air bubbles until the tape is flat. (These make fabulous mini spell book marks!)
11) Compose a letter to Themis, the goddess of Balance, Justice and Equality. (Her feast day is September 28th.) Ask her to imbue you with Reason, Fairness, Truth and Justice
12) Mushrooms galore! Celebrate mushroom magick in your book: Draw mushrooms from life, write a recipe using mushrooms, learn the names of mushrooms in your area or research mushroom myths and lore.
13) Create a dark mirror in your book. Paint one side of a piece of clear plastic packaging or page protector with black paint. Adhere the plastic to your grimoire page *shiny side out*, painted side in. (This gives you a reflective surface.) Draw or collage a frame for your dark mirror and scry away!

"Hear, goddess queen (thea basileia), diffusing silver light, bull-horned, and wandering through the gloom of night. With stars surrounded, and with circuit wide night’s torch extending, through the heavens you ride: female and male, with silvery rays you shine, and now full-orbed, now tending to decline. Mother of ages, fruit-producing Mene (Moon), whose amber orb makes night’s reflected noon: lover of horses, splendid queen of night, all-seeing power, bedecked with starry light, lover of vigilance, the foe of strife, in peace rejoicing, and a prudent life: fair lamp of night, its ornament and friend, who givest to nature’s works their destined end. Queen of the stars, all-wise Goddess, hail! Decked with a graceful robe and amble veil. Come, blessed Goddess, prudent, starry, bright, come, moony-lamp, with chaste and splendid light, shine on these sacred rites with prosperous rays, and pleased accept thy suppliants’ mystic praise." -Orphic Hymn 9 to Selene Full Sturgeon Supermoon In Aquarius Selene - Gateway to Eternity 🌝 Talon Abraxas

Monday, March 25
Full Moon occurs at 3 A.M. EDT, bringing March's Worm Moon to the sky. The Moon is now in Virgo, close to the magnitude 2.7 double star Porrima (Gamma Virginis).
This is the last Full Moon before the upcoming April 8 total solar eclipse, which will occur when the Moon is New. And this Full Moon will undergo an eclipse of its own as a penumbral lunar eclipse takes place early this morning, beginning shortly before 1 A.M. EDT (note this is late on the 24th for time zones farther west) and ending around 5:30 A.M. EDT, lasting a total of 4 hours and 39 minutes. Greatest eclipse occurs at 3:14 A.M. EDT.
A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the penumbra - the dimmer, outermost region of Earth's shadow. The effect is quite subtle, even though most of the Moon will pass through the penumbra, with just a small portion of the northeastern limb clearing the shadow entirely. Only careful observers may notice the Full Moon's light appear to dim slightly, or perhaps change subtly in hue to a more brownish color. For the best chance of observing this effect, look at the Moon early in the eclipse and then again around the time of maximum eclipse to see if you can note a difference. Such events are also great!
Get ready for an astronomical treat - a penumbral lunar eclipse accompanying the Full Moon! A time for celestial reflection and growth. 🌝🧚‍♀️
🌛🌝🌜🪱 blessed be ✨🧚‍♀️🍀🌱

Tonight is the Full Corn Moon named because this is a time of the corn harvests. The August Full Moon is also known as the Sturgeon Moon because this was the time when wild sturgeon and Salmon would be abundant in rivers and streams. At this time our emotions will be heightened, our senses will be sharp, things that were hidden or in the shadows can now be seen.
This is the first of 2 Full Moons this month, the second Full Moon will be at the end of August making it a Blue Moon.
If you have been feeling stuck in a situation or that everything has been standing still lately, get ready because this Full Moon will be bringing with it a wind of change. The whole of earth is going through a massive transition at the minute, Summer is fading and Autumn is coming in, leaves are starting to change colour on the trees, plants and flowers are dying and seeding the earth for next Spring. But at the same time crops in fields are flourishing with the harvest, fruit is now at it's most ripest. We will feel this energy of transformation, we should use it to help transform and shape ourselves into what we want to be.
The Full Moon is in the sign of Aquarius. The time is potent to follow our hearts and to create new pathways. We have shed our skin, now is the time to emerge and start turning the visions we have of ourselves into something real. There will be some deep emotional changes happening now, don't fight them, let them come to the surface we must move with the changes, allow what wants to come forth, and trust our inner knowing and guidance.
Your enthusiasm, idealism and creativity will be at an all time high. You will be bursting with new ideas and energy. You could have sudden insights into the future and where it is you are going. Dreams will be wild and vivid and could even be prophetic. You can move from a breakdown to a breakthrough now. You are experiencing a transformation in consciousness, big changes are coming.
Sometimes your growth can feel weird and strange when you are no longer connecting to your past. But truly, the old way of living no longer works for you. You are experiencing new aspects of yourself and life. You are giving birth to the new you, and giving birth is painful. This is real work. This is real growth. There is so much to celebrate right now. Realise that to live out new, promising visions there's a need to restructure and grow. A new vision of the future will be illuminated, it is up to you what you do with it.
Most of all tonight's Full Moon will be about healing. Let the Air element of Aquarius blow away negative thoughts and feelings and take you on a journey of discovery. Let go of the past and welcome in the future. This is the harvest and it is time to start reaping what we have sown, your hard work will start paying off. Take the gifts life offers you and make the most of them.
Have a Blessed Full Moon, May the Goddess watch over you.

🌕🐟Sturgeon Supermoon🐟 🌕
Three supermoons have filled our skies in as many months this year, and this week sees the fourth – and last – supermoon of 2022. Supermoons are full moons that appear much bigger and brighter than normal.
Supermoons take place when a full moon coincides with the point in the moon's orbit when it is closest to the Earth. They do not happen all that often, so to catch a glimpse of the rare celestial event is pretty special.
The Sturgeon supermoon rises at 8:55pm on Thursday 11th August as seen from London as the sun begins to set at 8.30pm. The supermoon will reach its peak – otherwise known as a syzygy, when the Moon is almost directly between the Sun and the Earth in a straight line configuration – at 2.36am on the morning of 12th August.
Sadly, this will be the last supermoon of the year. There was the Flower Moon in May, then June's Strawberry Moon, followed by the Buck Moon – the largest supermoon of the year, orbiting closer to Earth than any other full moon – last month.
The Old Farmer's Almanac named August's full moon after the giant sturgeon fish of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain, which were often caught during this part of the summer. Alternative names for the Sturgeon Moon are the Flying Moon, Corn Moon and Ricing Moon, amongst others.
Sending Supermoon blessings to you and your loved ones from MooncraftmagickStore. 💙💙

Moon Phases
Everyone knows the moon goes through multiple phases; new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent. This isn’t really news. However the different phases mean different things and are good for different types of magic
.New Moon- blank page, new beginnings, endless possibilities, planting seeds, intention. This is the time for you to do a ritual for the new things you want to bring into your life
Waxing Crescent- fresh energy, conceptualize, focus on detail, sprouting, deceleration. Anytime that the moon is growing to its peak you can do abundance spells.
First Quarter- Momentum, challenges, paying attention, sending roots, action.
Waxing Gibbous- Patience, edit and refine, gestation, nurture your life. Do something for self love. A spell, a ritual, meditation, yoga, drink plenty of water.
Full Moon- Peak energy, blessings, joy and gratitude, blossoming, celebration. This is the time for prosperity and abundance spells. Attracting love spells.
Waning Gibbous- release, service, harvest, nurture others.
Last Quarter- breakdown, readjustment, transition, decomposition, forgiveness.
Waning Crescent- surrender, rest and restore, reflection, composting, intuition. Just like when the moon is growing in energy you ask for things, do spells and rituals for gain the waning moon in any phase is used to release things. Do a spell for banishment or to release your negative feelings, to get rid of loneliness or poverty.
Full Moons
Every month of the year has a full moon, and each of these full moons is different. There are only twelve months in the year, but there are thirteen full moons per year. This results in a “blue moon,” which is a second full moon that can appear in any of the months. Below is a list of what each month’s moon represents.
JANUARY MOON—the wolf, cold, or birch moon; emphasis on energies of protection, intuition, and wisdom
FEBRUARY MOON—the quickening, snow, hunger, chaste, or rowan moon; energies of purification, growth, and healing
MARCH MOON—the storm, worm, seed, sap, or ash moon; energies of rebirth and awakening
APRIL MOON—the hare, wind, grass, pink, or alder moon; ideal for spells relating to change, balance, emotions, and planning
MAY MOON—the flower, merry, milk, planting, or willow moon; ideal for spells relating to building energy, intuition, and connections
JUNE MOON—the rose, mead, strawberry, strong sun, or hawthorn moon; excellent for protection, strengthening, preventive, and maintaining spells
JULY MOON—the wort, hay, thunder, blessing, buck, or oak moon; perfect for spells relating to divination, dreamwork, and psychic abilities
AUGUST MOON—the corn, red, sturgeon, or holly moon; used for spells relating to rebirth, abundance, prosperity, and renewal
SEPTEMBER MOON—the harvest or hazel moon; ideal for spells relating to lightness and darkness, emotions, and mental and physical well-being
OCTOBER MOON—the blood, hunter’s, or vine moon; perfect for spells relating to letting go, cleansing, karma, growth, divination, dreamwork, and spirits
NOVEMBER MOON—the mourning, frost, beaver, or ivy moon; helpful for spells relating to shedding habits or relationships, fresh starts, and connections
DECEMBER MOON—the long nights, cold, or reed moon; ideal for spells relating to endurance, rebirth, and transformation
BLUE MOON—stronger in energy than other moons
BLACK MOON-There is no single accepted definition of a Black Moon. The term has been commonly used to refer to any of the following phenomena associated with the New Moon:Second New Moon in the same month: These Black Moons are the most common ones, and they occur about once every 29 months. Because of time zone differences, the month they happen in can vary. In 2022, for example, Los Angeles had a Black Moon in March, while New York has a Black Moon in April.Third New Moon in a season of four New Moons: These Black Moons are a little rarer, and occur about once every 33 months. We divide a year into four seasons—spring, summer, fall (autumn), and winter. Usually, each season has three months and three New Moons. When a season has four New Moons, the third New Moon is called a Black Moon. This is the exact counterpart to the original definition of a Blue Moon, except that Blue Moons are Full Moons. No New Moon in February: About once every 19 years, there is no New Moon in February. This can only happen in February, as this is the only month which is shorter than a lunar month (lunation). When this occurs, both January and March have two New Moons, instead of just one.The next Black Moon by this definition will occur in 2033, while the last one was in 2014. Because of time zone differences, these Black Moons may not happen all over the world. For instance, there was such a Black Moon in the most western parts of the US in February 2022, but not in Europe or Australia. No Full Moon in February: About once every 19 years, February does not have a Full Moon. Instead, there are two Full Moons in January and March, also known as a double Blue Moon. The next Black Moon by this definition will occur in 2037, while the last one was in 2018. Because of time zone differences, these Black Moons may not happen all over the world.

Hi, happy full Sturgeon Moon 🌚. I hope the moon cleanses you and helps you release anything that’s not serving you. I also hope it helps manifest anything your heart has been trying to bring into fruition🪄. I love when the moon is in one of my placements. It’ll be in my mars. I hope you enjoy it in your sun😊. May I have a reading on if I’ll have a future family: (husband, kids, step kids, pets). Any type of family, and do they have any messages for me? - k🪽
Hii Fp thank you for the sweet message❤️
I feel like you will be a career oriented person for a while. I pulled the queen of pentacles and the high priestess reversed and the eight of swords so there will be some time where you will kind of beat yourself up for not having a family as quickly as other people but I don’t think you should see anything bad in it. It’s OK to be focused on your work on your grind it’s OK to be independent. You don’t have to fit in the mold there is more I feel like the cards are calling you to be a very successful because when it comes to your family, I feel like you will have a husband later in life, but they will be quite successful to. I am feeling that this person will they appear as the emperor so they might be in in the authority position, but in any case, they will be very protective of you. I feel like they will want to have you for themselves for a reason I keep getting the four of pentacles. I also read it sometimes as a stable foundation, but it also feels to me that they’re kind of are the type to really want you not to work as much as you do but you will be a successful person, so I think it might create a little bit of tension. They will be the kind of person who will be like I am successful enough for both of us. You don’t need to work, but you kinda will be in love with your passion or like you will love what you do so I don’t see you agreeing with him on that. There is a lot of passion and also patience I meant to say patience and compromise in the beginning but passion just came out but anyway lmaoo. There is a lot of patience because this man can feel a little triggered by how strong and independence you come off and how passionate you are about your hobbies about your work you have things going on for yourself when you will meet them but they will like that about you. It’s just that they should make sure it’s not triggering them and they shouldn’t be threatened. They’re good enough you’re good so to me there’s nothing wrong. I feel like you will be trying for kids a lot, but I am feeling that there might be one or two kids max one or two in this man wants to have kids to feel like he’s he can be a little bit traditional, but there is working on on kids there is planning to have kids it’s like having the calendar and knowing when to try for kids type of planning and I am going to be honest when the seven of pentacles comes up to me I feel like there will be a most one or two it’s just because it’s not you guys are meant to focus more on like work than home?
But either way to make up for it, I feel like you guys will have animals. It’s funny because it will be adequate for both of you. I am feeling that you might have a dog to train or some cat that doesn’t need much attention. I’m sorry if this feels very weird or something this marriage is quite career oriented or like work thing?
Have a blessed day/night ❤️

Full Moon Names + Correspondences
Tumblr media
Here’s a list of the full moons in each month and their names and correspondences! Each full moon does have different names, all are which derived by the indigenous people, colonial america, or other sources then! (You can find the names in the Farmer’s Almanac) The names have been translated to English so there may be repeating names for the moons!
These names are the ones I use for each full moon (which usually is used for the whole lunar cycle, whether you began with the new moon or the full moon itself)
Tumblr media
Jan - Wolf Moon (Cold Moon); this time is best used to work on developing your inner self, connecting with the deities that you work with and strengthening that bond with them, and focusing on self-discovery and awareness of yourself.
Feb - Quickening Moon (Snow Moon); this time is best spent on focusing on the new beginnings that have started for you, as well as to make plans for the future!
Mar - Storm Moon (Worm Moon); this is a time to celebrate balance, rebirth, and renewal as the coming of spring thaws the snow out and life begins to come back to nature.
Apr - Wind Moon (Pink Moon); this is a time to take action! new life is sprouting during this time, so its time to stop simply talking about what you want and what you wish would happen to you and start to work towards that to make it happen!
May - Flower Moon (Hare Moon); this is the time to start sowing the seeds of what you hope and wish to reap later on during the harvest. focus on magick that related to careers and jobs, as well as taking the time to expand your horizons!
Jun - Strong Sun Moon (Strawberry Moon); this is a time to maintain and enhance the things that you already have!! focus on what will improve your spirit and nurture relationships that you are currently involved in.
Jul - Blessing Moon (Meadow Moon); this is a time to work on divination, dreamwork, and meditations. don’t forget to count your blessing that you may have received for the past year and think of what you can do to bring even more blessings into your life.
Aug - Sturgeon Moon (Corn Moon); this is a time to focus on harvesting what you’ve already planted, and make sure to set aside some of that harvest for the winter months. In other words, only take what you need, whether physically or spiritually. Set the others aside and continue to cultivate and take care of them.
Sep - Harvest Moon (Barley Moon); this is a time to celebrate the hearth and home! cook up a comfort food and take comfort in the things in your home. this time is also great to store harvest for the winter.
Oct - Hunters Moon (Blood Moon);  the veil between our worlds and the spirit world is thinner compared to any other time in the year (especially during Samhain). focus on divination, communication with your departed ancestors, and on psychic messages that you may receive during this month. (Kind reminder that if you are a beginner, it would be best to focus on shadow work and setting up protection spells and wards around your space, don’t jump straight into contacting your ancestors! It would be very beneficial to learn about your heritage and cultural background, especially if you’re mixed!! An example would be me, I’m Filipino with Hispanic blood in me. Considering the history between the two countries, I’m certain that some ancestors may not want to talk to me as they see the Hispanic side of me, especially if any of my Hispanic ancestors were colonizers. Divination is definitely okay to use, just make sure you have your protections and wards up so that no one messes with the reading.)
Nov - Mourning Moon (Beaver Moon); this time is a great time to shed your bad habits and any toxic relationships that you are in! (Disclaimer: please do NOT wait until November to get rid of habits and/or toxic relationships that are actively hurting you in the beginning of the year. If you currently have these two things by the time that November rolls around, this is the best time to let them go!) allow yourself to get a new start after shedding those things you no longer need, and work on developing and strengthening your connection wit the Divine!
Dec - Long Night Moon (Oak Moon); this is a good season for spiritual alchemy! this time is also great for evaluating your life; put that darkness behind you and take your good fortune and share it with others!
Apologies for the longer sections in October and November, better to be safer than sorry! Take care ~

FULL STURGEON MOON – AUGUST,– PREPARING FOR CHANGE
Tumblr media
The Full Sturgeon Moon observed each August gets it’s name from Native American tradition.  In the areas surrounding the North American Great Lakes, native tribes would prepare for winter by catching and drying sturgeon, which were abundant and easy to catch in August.
What You’ll Need For This Ritual
Quarter Candles (yellow, red, blue, green) Anthame Large White Goddess Candle – I prefer a three wick candle to symbolize the triple Goddess Paper and pencils
Throughout this ritual, any text surrounded by these symbols < > should be considered instructional and not spoken aloud but done in accordance with the directions
Full Sturgeon Moon Ritual Begins
I cast this circle round and round from earth to sky, from sky to ground. I conjure now this sacred space, outside of time, outside of place.  The circle has been cast, we are between the worlds.
Calling the Quarters
East From the East we hail and summon the mighty AIR spirits – come join us in this sacred ritual under the light of the full moon.  We seek your guidance and knowledge in all things related to movement, communication, and freshness.  Aid us in visualization of our future selves so that we may achieve our destinies.  <light yellow candle>
South From the South we hail and summon the mighty FIRE spirits – present yourselves within this circle and all the spaces surrounding it.  As the bringer of  both destruction and creation, you hold sway over those who walk among us.  Teach us to harness your unbridled energies but also to see the beautiful transformation in nature after the flames have passed. <light red candle>
West From the west we hail and summon the mighty WATER spirits – surround us in your glorious cleansing and wash away all that we carry into this ritual.  We know that without water, life does not exist, but also that an overabundance can wash away centuries of work in a moment.  Help us to find the happy medium that will balance our lives and our existence.  <light blue candle>
North Finally, to the north we call out the mighty EARTH spirits – come gather among the living and share the secrets of the elements, the soils, the trees, and the herbs.  Teach us to respect all things that you’ve provided and to conserve for the generations that follow. <light green candle>
Great Goddess, mother of all of us; hold us in your loving arms and help us to help ourselves and our own inner courage.  Lend us your strength, your wisdom, and your sound decision-making, as we walk along our chosen pathways. So mote it be <light Goddess candle>

Introduction
The Full Sturgeon Moon name comes from the Algonquin tribes that surrounded the North American Great Lakes. Other tribes referred to this full moon by different names; the Green Corn Moon, Fruit Moon, Barley Moon, Grain Moon, and the Red Moon.  Most of the names are directly tied to crops that would be harvested in different areas around the country.  The latter name, Red Moon is due to the fact that the moon rising in August always seems to have a reddish cast to it.   The Ojibwe called the August full moon the Blueberry Moon, while the Dakota Sioux knew it as The Moon When All Things Ripen.
Full Moon Musical Interlude
This month’s selection is called the Pagan Moon Goddess Song – it’s hauntingly beautiful and will certainly put you in a sacred moon trance.

Preparing For Change
We celebrate each full moon with a ritual cleansing and a lesson on how we can improve our lives or learn some wisdom from nature.  The full sturgeon moon of August gives us a unique opportunity to discuss the topic of change.  We can see change happening all around us this month.  The heat of the summer is finally starting to wane, the fields are ripe and full of miracles of nature.  Fresh squash, berries, flowers, and herbs are plentiful and the green tops on our root vegetables and vines are gathering size in the sunlight.  Our children are enjoying the last few precious weeks of vacation before the abrupt change of the morning school bell and the nightly schoolwork.  We are looking in our closets for longer sleeves and jackets in the evening and planning for the coming cold ahead.  We experience these mundane changes with little to no fanfare as if they’ve become a comfortable routine.
Yet, with all the physical changes that we are surrounded by, many of us forget that this is a time of spiritual change as well.  Our bodies have been running at top speed for most of the summer; vacations, trips to the pool, hiking, and of course wild crafting our favorite herbs and roots.  During that period, many of us have slacked off on our spiritual growth – it’s a natural occurrence since there are only so many hours in the day.  Yet, after many months of putting things on the back burner, our spiritual plates are either filled with excess information or nearly empty.  Once we start to finally slow down, we come to the realization that something’s amiss and needs immediate attention; thus starts the beginning of a huge change cycle.
The point of realization is also the point of a potential problem, if we aren’t prepared.  Too much information leads to nothing getting accomplished usually; we feel overwhelmed and passive.  Too little leaves us feeling directionless and easily led astray.  But, if we’ve properly prepared for this change, then it’s business as usual.  Ironically, just speaking about it is the first step in the preparation; becoming aware in advance that it’s coming gives us time to schedule, budget our time, and plan time for spiritual healing.  Often we need to play “catch up” or often “pick up” from where we left off in the spring.
There are many methods to get back in the swing of things.  Some people keep a personal journal of their personal growth while others go a step further and write down a step by step plan.  Some use the cycle of the moon to measure growth in conjunction with their own spiritual cleansing.  Regardless of what method you choose, remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint.  If you are feeling overwhelmed with an overfilled plate, take time to organize, categorize, and prioritize.  I’ll repeat those three key things, because they need to be put to memory.  Organize, categorize, and prioritize; organize your life so that you have time to address things; categorize them into groups that pertain to the same topic or a group of topics, and finally prioritize them.  What is most important?  Which ones are “low hanging fruit” that can be dealt with quickly and free up time to focus on other things?  Do you need help with some of them?  By asking yourself questions, you can order things in a way that doesn’t seem overwhelming and actually make progress.
Another important thing to consider when you are processing a lot of information – it might sound like a good idea to just say you’re planning to get rid of everything and move on, but that will only leave lingering thoughts that may stick with you for a long time.  Remember that cleansing and clearing go hand in hand – it’s not worth cleansing something if you can’t permanently clear it from your spirit.  True healing and growth will only come if you release the negative fully and completely and refuse to give it any energy, ever again.
Cleansing and Clearing
As we do on each full moon, we gather together to release negativity; to burn that which needs burning, and ultimately to reduce mental clutter.   We also search for things to refill that empty space – this is where understanding becomes so important.  It’s not difficult to identify the things dragging us down; we may not show it on the surface, but deep down each of us knows exactly what is the root cause of our troubles.  Unfortunately we don’t always do corrective action.  We often opt for the easy routes in life, sometimes accepting or settling when we could instead be growing and languishing in a life which meets out spiritual and emotional needs.  It all comes down to understanding, making choices, and refusing to compromise our core needs, for any reason.
So tonight, before we commence in our monthly cleansing through burning session, take time to think about our lesson on change.  Are you prepared to sift through everything and weed your personal garden?  Will you follow through and rid yourselves of anything that has no value?  Also, think about how you can harness the positive energies coming from your harvests and late summer activities.  Look for ways to keep that magick alive in your life during the hard months of winter.  Bring some of the outside into your home so you’ll have a constant reminder of where your life is grounded.  Look for ways to excel rather than just settle.  Seek out those energies and store them inside your spirit, so that you don’t regress when things are dark.
<Offer participants pen & paper to write down anything they wish to permanently banish from their lives>
Approach the fire and burn away that which no longer serves you !
<once everyone is finished, take a few moments to meditate in silence>
Cleaning and releasing is only half of the job.  Do not allow negative energy to refill the spaces you’ve created.  Trade the bad for something better; something enlightening and pure.  Leave here with a smile on your face, the understanding that there is more to life than just existing, and that change is always part of our lives, but also that you’ve got this!  Change won’t stop you from growing.  Stop sitting on the sidelines and engage with the things that take existence to living.  Blessed Be!

Closing the Full Sturgeon Moon Circle
Spirits of Earth, guardians of the crops and the fields, we thank you for your presence in our circle tonight and for all that you provide us.  As we watch the change from season to season, we shall again call upon your guidance to maintain our grounding and focus. <extinguish green candle>
Spirits of Water, cleansing, sustaining, and flowing, we offer our praises for your never-ending refreshment and thirst-quenching magick.  We know our lives will rise and fall, just as the ocean tides do, but will trust in your strength to keep us from sinking.  <extinguish blue candle>
Spirits of Fire, source of all passion, heat, and warmth, we are humbled by your collective energies gathered in this circle tonight.  We sought to understand your many faces, so that we may work harmoniously with you throughout the changing seasons. <extinguish red candle>
Spirits of Air, where wisdom resides, and motion is never ceasing – we thank you for reminding us that change is inevitable but nothing is impossible unless we surrender our ambitions and choose to fail <extinguish yellow candle>
Beloved Goddess, Mother of all living things, we thank you for your comfort in times of sorrow; your compassion in times of weakness, and your never-ending wellspring of spiritual love for each one of us <extinguish Goddess candle>
This Full Sturgeon Moon circle is open but never broken!
