People often wonder what plant-based folks eat. A lot of things, actually. LOL. Yesterday the Virtuous Ladies Reading book club introduced me to an awesome local plant-based restaurant, @puresoulff. I was too busy chowing down to take photos. But I had the fish plate with macaroni and cheese and greens. So good. And that cornbread was DELICIOUS. It's a little bit of a hike from my house, but I'll definitely be back. For breakfast this morning, I made scrambled "eggs" with sautéed veggies using the product @justegg. So yummy! My husband (who isn't vegan) and I gobbled it up this morning along with some papaya. Our first time trying the fruit. It was good. Kind of tasted like cantaloupe. As we start this New Year of 2023 I want to start this year correctly. As a black man, I can admit when I’m wrong or spoke on things prematurely without all the facts or personal views/opinions. I want to say that I owe not only Meg Thee Stallion an apology but EVERY woman I’ve offended in past and present times. As far as Meg Thee Stallion, she's a black woman who was assaulted by a man. No, let me say that again she was a black woman who was assaulted by a coward. After hearing the 911 call and the jail call, my heart further bleeds for this woman and other women who deal with cowardly men. The amount of trauma and damage she's faced through the assault, judgment, and callousness by her people including myself was and still is fucking sad. The number of black women & men who didn't & still don't believe her is sickening. I can honestly say as of today I do believe her and I wish I could change my stands earlier but I’m far from perfect and all I can do is correct my flaws and mistakes.
