This was the first shawl I made, I used Drops Alaska yarns in three different shades of grey (as you can clearly see) and the pattern is the Birdwing shawl by Stephen West. It’s one of his older designs before his current style of chaoticness, I think it was around the time he began experimenting with more unusual elements and shapes in his patterns, it’s from a decade ago. I adore this shawl and honestly wouldn’t mind knitting a second one but with rainbow colours, make it into a pride flag project perhaps?

Birdwing, Sagenose's mate and Fidgetflake's mom, who lost her other sons, Snipkit and Curlypaw.
Clovertail, the first permanent Queen, and first ever Nurse-Maid for New Skyclan. Also Birdwing's mother.
Waspwhisker, mate of Fallowfern and Skyclan's deputy.
These 3 were captured and, sadly, have not yet returned. Skyclan in the books treats them as dead, claiming that the Twolegs that took them look like they have no good intentions with the cats. These three have not even appeared in Starclan, we have no official statement on where they are or how they are doing, and I get the feeling we never will.
Most fans took the "no good intentions" line from Skyclan and ran with that and assume them Euthanized. Or best case scenario, returned to a past home in Waspwhisker's case.
But how in the hell would Skyclan cats know that? They have no idea what human intentions are. If the humans looked miserable, it's probably because dealing with a feral cat colony is exhausting.
So... Where did these cats go?
In WCR, not only do they have a bonus Stolen Cat named Buddyheart (using the names of that one poll that didn't get through, the same poll we got Wafflepaw from), they are getting their own Super Edition tied to ASC!
Waspwhisker's Journey!
Waspwhisker leads this group to get back home, all the while dealing with the issues the group faces.
