10 YEARS OF BILL CIPHER ZINE

Ten years ago, Gravity Falls released Dreamscaperers, marking the first ever appearance of our favorite satanic triangle, Bill Cipher! And what a lasting impact he had on Tumblr. From memes to thirst to his status as a Tumblr Sexyman and all the unique humanizations, it’s the 10th anniversary of Bill Cipher being unleashed upon our Earth.

To celebrate, let’s create a fanzine in his honor! Artists, writers and merch creators are invited to celebrate Bill Cipher as a creator! The application will be open for 2 months, meaning it will close on October 31, 2023. Happy creating, and I can’t wait to see your pieces!

This zine is a charity project, with our proceeds going towards Planned Parenthood. We believe that our charity represents a relevant need and falls in alignment with what Alex Hirsch stands for.

- This is completely SFW! However, you’re more than welcome to submit suggestive pieces. For example, if you’re applying to be a zine artist, submitting a shirtless drawing is fine. If you’re applying to be a zine writer, anything is fine as long as it’s not explicit.

- It’s most likely going to be a physical zine unless it’s too expensive on my end!

1) What is your favorite fic you have under your belt?

Gosh, that's a really tough one! Learning to Dance in the Rain will always have a special place in my heart. I work it years ago for PearlRose Week 2016, but it's still one of my favorite works.

But at the same time, Friendly Pearl is also a really special one since it's my first piece to ever be in a zine and the first time I had a beta reader. It was also really interesting writing a fic for someone else’s OC.

13) Do you have a favorite character to write for?

This one is even harder! Hmm…I guess Bill Cipher is definitely the most fun to write for, because he’s just all over the place, I can really take advantage of that ADHD stream of consciousness to get momentum going haha.
