Not me searching for a gf for TPM Grim

I get Padme vibes from you! You seem incredibly smart and grounded, and have a strong moral compass. You're also crazily pretty and I get the sense you have a great sense of style x
Sam, for the millionth time, you are WAY too nice to me🥴 I’ve always loved Padmé, especially from TPM with her no-nonsense, queenly persona. Younger me was SHOOK when I realized a girl (not quite a woman yet, but a GIRL) could be so put together and strong. I really do strive to be the kind of person she was meant to represent in that series and I’m flattered that you think so highly of me ;-; the only thing I could ever fault her on is falling in love with someone who needed a therapist more than he needed a gf at the time but hey no one’s type is perfect😅

Joe’s Weather World: An unusually cold day and the dryness increases (TUE-11/12)
We set another daily record yesterday for snow…up at KCI there was .6″. That set a new record for 11/11 for snow. That’s the 2nd daily record this season. That’s impressive. Of course during this time of the year a lot of the daily records are under 1″ or so…but still.
This cold air mass sent temperatures down into the single digits. At least 8° this morning. Highs today will struggle and it will feel even colder later this afternoon as the winds start to pick up a bit. Those winds will increase overnight as well as the winds above us really get going from the SW. That’s the sign that the arctic air is moving away from the area.
The other issue, despite the snow yesterday, is the continuing lack of moisture in the region. Yesterday’s snow amounted to .05″. There is another possible minor system for Sunday…but overall the next 10 days look pretty dry at this point.
Forecast:
Today: Sunny and cold with highs in the upper 20s to near 30°
Tonight: Clear and windy…it will feel colder as temperatures drop into the low>mid 20s and then sort of steady out or increase a bit towards daybreak. Winds may gust to 20-25 MPH
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy and not as cold with highs well into the 40s
Thursday: Turning chilly again with highs closer to 40°
Discussion:
So far this morning…8° and it may have dropped another degree or so between hours as the sun was coming up. Unusual cold for sure. It would be our 2nd or 3rd coldest start to the day in KC weather history with records going back to the 1880s.
Tumblr media
Highs today will be in the 20s to near 30°. Here is a look at the coldest highs.
Tumblr media
So likely top 10 cold high for the day.
Finally when you take the high and low and divide by two…that comes out to the average temperature for the day…
Tumblr media
We’ll probably end up around 18 or 19° for an average temperature…that would be easily top 5. You can see just how cold that 1911 year was behind the “blue norther” that came through!
There were dozens and dozens of record lows last night…some of the records have short POR’s or period of records. That means the data doesn’t go back that far…at least 30 years though. For perspective the KC weather data goes back at least 130 years. I’m always hesitant to talk about records that contain only 40 or whatever years of data.
Tumblr media
There may be some monthly records tucked in that data as well…down towards the Red River and into S IL and W KY.
The coldest air is going to move away overnight. That is a reinforcing shot of chilly weather coming tomorrow night into Thursday. This will be a dry frontal passage…just not enough time to get appreciable moisture back into the region ahead of the front. As a matter of fact this arctic air will have penetrated through the central Gulf of Mexico by this time tomorrow…
The overall pattern though remains rather dry and that won’t be changing anytime real soon…at least for the next 10 days or so.
The model data is showing something towards the 3rd week of November though…close to the 20th. Here is the EURO data…
Tumblr media
and the GFS data…
Tumblr media
We’ll see about that…
Finally…
I mentioned this last night…and sure enough it happened to me on my way home…the low tire pressure light coming on in your car.\
This occurs when the tire air pressure drops which happens when we get these cold temperatures. Remember we were in the 60s on SAT and today are in the single digits. That’s about a 60° swing…and considering the tire air pressure drops about 1-2 PSI (pounds per square inch) when we drop about 10°…that’s a 5-10 PSI drop and that will usually trigger the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light on the dashboards.
You just need to get some air in the tires. Sometimes it will go off on it’s own as it warms up but a lot of times it won’t.
So know you know!
Our feature photo comes from Michael Weston of an earlier snow melt off from October…probably about the same as today.
Tumblr media
Have a great day and stay warm

6, 14, 23!
6. what planet would you most like to live on?
WELL Dathomir is a lovely place, really but uh. No.
I’d actually say, probably, somewhere slightly shitty?? Like, not Tatooine because it’s insane and I’m not about that sand life. But not like. Naboo or anything. Probably an Outer or Mid-Rim planet with a climate closer to my Iowa- prairies and rivers and hills. Space Iowa. And I’d get trained in psych help and counseling and join the Space Peace Corps to help counsel freed slaves and work against the sentient trafficking network. And hopefully have a cute alien GF.
14. what is your favorite alien species?
You know, I’ve already said Dathomirians, but @srahwars got me in Too Deep with the Trandoshans. I’d fuck a Trandoshan, not gonna lie.
23. what’s your favorite star wars musical piece or theme?
Rey’s Theme is one. That tinkly xylophone-y bit at the beginning? ugh. my baby. The first minute or so of Han Solo And The Princess, with its aching sweet affection and longing.
But really, what I want most of all, is an extended version that makes use of this- the mysterious, almost sad bit of Duel of the Fates. I don’t know what the intent of it was, probably to highlight like. the tragedy of Qui-gon’s death or something, idk, I haven’t rewatched TPM sober in years. But to me it’s the strange mourning song for Maul, Sidious’ first apprentice, who had nothing but his Master and fell for his sake, completing his mission, and who was discarded at twenty-two for failing once. Who was the only Sith who had no name but his title. “Maul” was all he had, locked into a small dark room until he could guess at what his Master wanted, and terrified into obedience from then on.
It’s used as a guitar solo here, and a piano piece here. However brief it is, I love it and it makes my heart hurt.

Today is Update Day!!!
Chapter 9: Give it the Old Temple Try is up!
Tumblr media
As usual, the update will probably go live around 5:00 to 7:00 pm EST. Depending on other boring adult things like laundry and cleaning.
In the mean time... if you are looking for things to read...
Across the Stars - by @hellsbellssinclub A lovely little mashup of Doctor Who and Star Wars in the Pre-TPM era. Failed Initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi is to go to Bandomeer when a funny man and his fierce-some companion rescue him from unsavory individuals at the Coruscant Spaceport. Includes alcoholic ice cream, Sad Obi-Wan, FABULOUS DONNA NOBLE, and my favorite Doctor, the David Tennant version.
A Writing Prompt Full of Unneccesary Obi-Wan Pain - My darling gf @writegowrite likes to hurt Obi-Wan and prompted by the AMAZING Glare of Solider, Poet, King fame, she proceeded to do just that. Includes Anakin being a dick, Obi-Wan not deserving any of this crap, Cody and Rex being awesome twins, the military and destiny. Also a traumatic injury.
Do Not Compel Me So - by @mithingthepoint This is a lovely, almost poetic and lyrical retelling of the Prequel saga that casts some of our favorite characters more... illogical actions in a heartbreaking and different light. Includes AN AMAZING PADME WHO I WANT MORE OF DAMN IT, Obi-Wan being sad (can’t we just let him live?), and Anakin bending the knee because in the end, he always does.
And finally...
Viridescent Skies - by @themikeymonster A wonderful story about a Master, his Padawan and the little monster that replaces him. I cannot say enough good things about this story, about the flow of the language, about the excellent grasp of characterization and all the little things that make Knight Skywalker feel so much like Anakin but also older and more matured and centered. Obi-Wan is pitch perfect and just everything about this story is lovely!
And now I am off to biscuits and editing with my soft cute co-editors! Ta!

2017 Toyota 860 Special Edition 2-Door 6-Speed Auto
New Post has been published on http://auto.tintoantap.com/2017-toyota-860-special-edition-2-door-6-speed-auto/
2017 Toyota 860 Special Edition 2-Door 6-Speed Auto
The Toyota 86 is a series of 2+2 seater sports cars jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru and solely manufactured by Subaru. Toyota also referenced to its first sports car, the Sports 800, given that both this car and the 86 share a boxer engine layout, as widely used by project partner and 86 manufacturer, Subaru.
This suede-like material shows off the sophisticated side of 86. All-new Granlux trim accents covers key touch-points on the door panels, upper-seat bolsters and dash. Adding an extra bit of style is an embossed “86” logo above the passenger-side glove box.
A standard folding rear seat lets you bring your friends, or your gear, along for the ride. With 6.9 cubic feet of space in the trunk, you can fit those gotta-have items you need for a weekend getaway. Folding the rear seat down increases total cargo area, giving you enough space to carry an extra set of wheels and tires for those race-day excursions.
Available on 86 is the Display Audio with Navigation system. Unique to the Toyota family, this powerful piece of tech features a high-resolution 7-in. touch-screen display. Its navigation functionality with turn-by-turn directions makes it easy to find your way. Better yet, this system also comes standard with the Aha Radio.
Every 86 comes standard with Hill Start Assist Control (HAC). This convenient technology helps to keep the vehicle from rolling backward when switching from brake to accelerator on an incline.
SST helps reduce engine power when both the brake and gas pedals are pressed at the same time under certain conditions. The feature doesn’t engage if the brake pedal is depressed before the accelerator pedal, allowing time for the driver to move from brake to acceleration. And for those track days, that also means that you can still heel-toe in the manual transmission-equipped 86 without any problems.
86 comes standard with the Star Safety System , a suite of six advanced safety features that includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA).
Six airbags come standard on every 86, including a driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, front seat-mounted side airbags, and side curtain airbags.

2017 Toyota 86 2-Door 6-Speed Manual
New Post has been published on http://auto.tintoantap.com/2017-toyota-86-2-door-6-speed-manual/
2017 Toyota 86 2-Door 6-Speed Manual
The Toyota 86 is a series of 2+2 seater sports cars jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru and solely manufactured by Subaru. Toyota also referenced to its first sports car, the Sports 800, given that both this car and the 86 share a boxer engine layout, as widely used by project partner and 86 manufacturer, Subaru.
At the heart of 86 is a potent 2.0-liter flat-four engine. With its horizontally opposed pistons and compact packaging, this engine sits low in the chassis for optimal balance and performance. In manual transmission-equipped cars, this engine has been revised to reduce friction and pumping loss, helping to provide an optimized power curve. It’s got some muscle too, with manual transmission cars getting 205 horsepower and 156 lb.-ft. of torque, plus a new red aluminum intake manifold. In the automatic-equipped 86, its Boxer engine pumps out 200 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque.
86 comes with a close-ratio 6-speed transmission for breathtaking acceleration and impressive fuel economy. The sequential automatic transmission features a manual shift mode, letting you select the gear you want via the gear-select lever or steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. For those who prefer three pedals, the manual transmission gives short, precise throws for a driving experience like no other.
The rear differential of manual transmission-equipped 86 has been revised to incorporate a set of 4.30 gears. Designed for heightened response, this new rear diff helps improve low-end acceleration. This gearing also helps keep 86 in its performance “sweet spot” while in the twisty stuff, making it easier to accelerate out of corners.
Designed for track days, 86’s unique Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) sport tuning allows the driver to shut off all stability assists. When on a racetrack, this Full-Off Mode prevents the VSC from kicking in, putting the driver in full control. This helps expert drivers push the envelope of 86 and extract every last drop of performance.
Automatic transmission-equipped 86s come standard with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Just a simple pull of the lever allows the driver to quickly change gears while keeping both hands on the wheel. This automatic transmission is intelligent, too—it will automatically rev match when downshifting, giving you buttery-smooth gear changes.

2017 Toyota 860 Special Edition 2-Door 6-Speed Manual
New Post has been published on http://auto.tintoantap.com/2017-toyota-860-special-edition-2-door-6-speed-manual/
2017 Toyota 860 Special Edition 2-Door 6-Speed Manual
The Toyota 86 is a series of 2+2 seater sports cars jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru and solely manufactured by Subaru. Toyota also referenced to its first sports car, the Sports 800, given that both this car and the 86 share a boxer engine layout, as widely used by project partner and 86 manufacturer, Subaru.
Long hood. Short rear deck. The classic sports car profile. 86 brings this design to the modern era with each surface sculpted to help give this ride a wind-cheating drag coefficient of just .29 Cd. And best of all, this aggressive style helps optimize overall performance, too. The large chin spoiler and integrated canards help keep the front end planted firmly to the ground for sharpened turn-in and response. The restyled rear diffuser improves airflow and reduces turbulent air exiting from under the car, adding function to its street-ready attitude.
Brighter light. More efficiency. Striking design. A full complement of LED lighting accentuates the cutting-edge style of 86. Up front, LED lighting is used for the high- and low-beam headlights, integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and turn signals, helping to ensure this sports car won’t be ignored. In the rear, LED lighting is used for the taillights, brake lights and rear turn signals, further taking 86 to a new level of cool. Now “show ‘em your taillights” can take on a whole new meaning.
Available fog lights seamlessly integrate into the refreshed front bumper of 86. Designed exclusively for 86, these fog lights fit inside the aerodynamic canards, ensuring a perfect fit. Not only do these help provide more light when the weather gets foul, they take the sporty look of 86 to a whole new level.
New vortex generators on the fenders help control turbulent airflow, enhancing the stability of 86. These also work to keep the front end planted firmly to the ground, so you can stay connected to the road.
When you got it, flaunt it. 86 shows off its performance cred with a chrome-tipped dual exhaust. Constructed from high-grade, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, this cat-back exhaust system features mandrel bends for smoother airflow, helping optimize the performance of 86.
86 features an ergonomic, leather-wrapped steering wheel that feels great in your hands and, thanks to the smaller diameter and quick-ratio steering, feels amazing in the corners. And that’s not all—with new integrated audio controls, you get easier access to your music, helping you can stay in control of it all.
Deeply bolstered front seats bring comfort to those long drives, and they hold you in place when the roads get twisty. Granlux trim on the upper side bolsters provide extra grip and an added sense of luxury. And silver-like accent stitching further enhances the premium feel of 86.

2017 Toyota 86 2-Door 6-Speed Auto
New Post has been published on http://auto.tintoantap.com/2017-toyota-86-2-door-6-speed-auto/
2017 Toyota 86 2-Door 6-Speed Auto
The Toyota 86 is a series of 2+2 seater sports cars jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru and solely manufactured by Subaru. Toyota also referenced to its first sports car, the Sports 800, given that both this car and the 86 share a boxer engine layout, as widely used by project partner and 86 manufacturer, Subaru.
A global icon, the AE86 Corolla helped cement Toyota’s racing cred. With its light body, rear-wheel drive chassis and nimble handling, the AE86 was a force to be reckoned with on the track and the streets. It inspired generations of enthusiasts and the car remains a legend to this day. Toyota took this AE86 DNA and gave it a modern twist to create our purest sports car yet—the 2017 Toyota 86. It’s everything a sports car should be, backed by Toyota’s proven technology. And it’s how we carry the 86 legend forward to the next generation. Let’s fire it up.
Born on the track. Bred for the streets. 86 features a sport-tuned suspension featuring revised spring rates, updated shock components and a new rear sway bar. These work together to help sharpen turns and enhance grip over uneven surfaces, enabling you to carve those corners with surgical precision. And when the drive calls for calmer inputs, like when cruising in the city, this suspension is supple enough to let everyone ride in total comfort.
The body of 86 was engineered to be as light and strong as possible, helping boost efficiency and overall performance. What’s more, this unit-body design also puts the engine low to the ground, helping optimize the center of gravity for a truly balanced driving experience.
Intelligent use of high-strength materials, reinforcement of key chassis areas and additional strategically placed spot welds help enhance the body strength of 86. And with this strength comes improved body rigidity, which helps reduce unwanted noise, harshness and vibration. Better yet, this strength also works as a performance enhancer, giving 86 exceptional acceleration, braking and handling capabilities.
When on a racetrack, holding the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) button for one second engages Track Mode, which helps you push the limits of performance. When in Track Mode, the system allows you to approach the handling limits of 86 before the VSC kicks in, after which the system helps to gently nudge you back on your desired driving line.
