Every now and then I'll watch a hard science driven sci-fi movie that will absolutely slam me with the reminder of why I loved space and science and astronomy so much to the point of getting a whole ass masters in physics
And then I'll get so violently angry and depressed realizing just how fucked up my research experience was in college to take that feeling of joy and wonder from me
And then I think about how happy I am at my current farm job, like really really happy and content with my life, that it really contrasts just how fucked up that stem degree had me and how desperately I need to cling to this happiness because I never ever never want to be that dark again but sometimes I just miss astronomy so much
But like I know that if I go back to school I will revert right back to that way because my research experience was that awful that it's permanently altered my brain to be fearful of it
And I will never, ever, never forgive my research advisor for doing that do me I guess is what I'm trying to say

Love that despite Oltyx's grumping about how every other necron around him sucks and he only likes maybe 2-3 other people, he's the one necron in canon who's had guardians and protectors from every walk of life. First his family (Djoseras, and once upon a time, Unnas), then the nobles of varying stations (e.g. Yenekh and Parreg), all the way to those of lowborn origin (Neth and Pakhet) who are dearly devoted to his well-being. Outsiders too, like Mentep and Zultanekh, not to mention every Flayed One by the end of his story!
It doesn't surprise me that the final mode of society he settles on as Valgûl is more egalitarian than literally any other necron dynasty out there. Despite the universe trying its best to crush Oltyx's ability to relate to other people out of him, Oltyx was more cared for than he let himself believe, and had more respect than he gave credit for. When it comes down to it, this was a boy who was very loved, and I'm glad he came to terms with it at the end 😭💖

Guys, if we make Tim South East Asian, we can have all the boy Robins be Brown.
Dick's Romani, a large amount of people Hc Jason as Latino, and Damian is Arab.
I'm pretty sure the current Tim hc race is half Korean, but like... I can see Tim being half Singaporean, or Indonesian.
It would also be really funny because it would make Damian and Tim look really similar and just imagine a random white lady walking up to the both of them and going "Oh! is this your brother?" and Damian going "No! I'm not related to Drake!" and it happens seven times and ends in Damian begrudgingly saying, "Yes, though he is adopted"

Alenoah, where Noah cares about Alejandro, more than Alejandro's family did:
Noah: I will now torture you.
Alejandro: Kinky!~
Noah: I think you are brilliant and beautiful.
Alejandro: Wait!
Noah: You deserve to be cared for and loved, despite your mistakes.
Alejandro: No!
Noah: Your feelings and needs are valid, and deserve to be heard.
Alejandro: I need a safeword! 😳
Real.

Mini Silverborn Countdown
If you’ve been around for a few years, you’ve seen me vaguely mention a “Silverborn Countdown Challenge” several times. It’s been delayed and changed as many times as the book itself, lol.
If anyone wants sort of a low-stakes, very chill and spaced out version of this ye olde never tackled challenge to complete in the next year before Silverborn, I propose what I’m doing:
Every 3 months leading up to the initial release, I am creating one thing based on each of the books.
January — Nevermoor
April — Wundersmith
July — Hollowpox
