Dear Friends, Right now I feel despair, and hopelessness. And I feel so tired. I deeply apologize for tagging you all again, please don't get mad. I just really needed help.😢😢 I just got my life back, and recently recovered from my debts from my previous battle in between 2021 and mid 2023. The video you see attached to this post is a painful reminder of the recent loss I've endured. Uncle Dindo joined our creator last March 24, 2024, after battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer for a month. His passing has left a void in our souls, and also drowned us in debts too. I am helping with expenses as much as I can, that it also drowned me. My Father died of the same illness as well. I made a post more than a month ago with the Title: FIGHTING AGAINST CANCER sadly we still have zero donation and sales from our Emotes and Digital Stickers sale. 
I do not know how to approach all of you again, but I am so scared right now. The reason I made this new post is I've been doing my best to make ends meet, trying to loan to a bank to be able for me to start my Treatment again(but mostly got rejected). I am already back to work eversince the fourth quarter of 2023, but the income is not enough as I earn only $12-$15/day with 12 hours plus of work.  I am really really scared right now as I am writing this. First, I need to settle my rent within 12-24 hours which cost $500(water & electricity is unstable). My landlord is threatening me that he will lock the house, kicking me out and leaving my pets behind. My cats and my dog are my life. Update(05/02/2024): I asked helped from a local council here to help me talk to my landlord. We have an agreement and I am given enough time until Saturday of this week - May 4, 2024. To settle the rent and for me and my pets to leave the apartment, we found a new one but we need a 2 month deposit. And payment for a rental truck. I need to pay my landlord too - so, I can be able to transfer to another home, and he will let me leave peacefully. Which will have another cost, as I need to rent a small truck because I have my pets with me. I have written this on my previous blogs before that I have been sexually harassed(this SCARES me so much too), and stalked by a former friend. He was jailed, but he is back again(already reported it to police). But for safety transferring home is needed. My trauma is still not yet recovered. We still need to prioritize as well my Aunt's treatment, as her health is rapidly deteriorating too(Stage 3 breast Cancer is advancing, her right breast has already been removed). And I need to start mine again, it spread in other parts of my body(I am holding on). I'm really scared right now. If you can spare anything—money, support, anything at all—it would mean the world to me. I hate asking, but I don't know what else to do. Random but if I’m trying to get the best deal on an apartment in a large city should I use a realtor? Liek what do you recommend for that? I’ve heard going into offices in person helps but idk much about it.
I don’t think n realtors who show you apartments are really worth it, personally. They get paid to show you listings they find which you, theoretically, have an equally good chance of finding (give or take), but they only get like $250 after maybe five showings? It depends on the brokerage and where you’re at, but either way that’s pocket change for them, and kind of steep for you— so really no one benefits lol. If I were you, i would stick to Facebook personals, Craigslist, or word of mouth for situations where you want to be a roommate and be absorbed into the living situation, or if you’re looking for a place to rent on your own and/or then sublet, then try those plus options after exhausting websites like Zillow, trulia, realtor.com, or apartments.com. If the pickings are that slim and you can’t find anything available when driving around (or what you see is out of your budget) then i would recommend going into any brokerage office and asking the front desk lady if there’s a realtor available who does rentals. You could also call or check their website but going in is just as valid. Tbh the only time I’ve ever looked at renting, I just used Craigslist bc I was in college and trying to find an already furnished place with ppl in it, and during my time as a realtor I avoided doing rentals bc it was a lot of work for little pay. Likewise the clients seemed dissatisfied having to pay anything. But that was just my experience!

In tutoring yesterday we talked about apartment hunting and how different it is here compared to the US/other countries. This is a mix of words I already knew & ones I learned yesterday~
부동산 - real estate, real estate agency/office
허위 매물 - false listing/offering (on apps/websites; this describes apartment/house listings where the photos are photoshopped beyond reality, the place isn't actually available, the price online is fake, etc.)
보증금 - deposit, "key money" (way higher than in the US...like $10,000, but you get it all back at the end of your contract [usually 2 years])
월세 - monthly rent
전세 - "jeonse" is a deposit only rental system. You put down a huge deposit (like, in Seoul, at least $100,000) and then you don't pay rent
Usually, if you don't see a counter on the prices, they're in 만 (10,000). If it's in 억 (100,000,000), it'll be written. For example: 월세 2,000/65 = 20,000,000원 보증금 / 650,000원 월세 월세 500/90 = 5,000,000원 보증금 / 900,000원 월세 전세 3억 1,000 = 310,000,000원 전세 12억 = 1,200,000,000원 [currently, 1 USD = 1,300 KRW]
선순위 보증금 - deposit priority (in the event your landlord loses your deposit, you want to be 1위/first in line in order to have the best chance of getting your money back...)
세대주 - head of household
세대원 - family member (i.e. not the head of the household)
융자 - financing, loan
빚 - debt
담보 - collateral (like for a loan)
건물용도 - purpose of a building (like it's zoning)
거주시설 - housing facilities
근린생활시설 - commercial/neighborhood facilities (don't live here!!!)
신탁건물 - a building owned/operated by a trust/company (don't live here either!!!)
등기부등본 - certified copy of the register (of the real estate) (this is the document you check to make sure the landlord is the legal owner, the real estate agent isn't scamming you, the property isn't being used as collateral for other loans, etc.)
갑구/을구 - these sections on the 등기부등본 are where you check your 순위 #, the property's ownership, etc.
떼다 - to get/request a document ("등기부등본 떼 주세요")

It's quite fascinating how proficient I am at making horrible choices. Moving costs alone have cost me nearly $4000 and I will still owe another $775 just to get my stuff delivered to my hovel apartment.
My apartment is also another headache. You can only do so much when looking at a place 7 states over, but the unit looked good in pictures, the website boasted of luxury accommodations, and the manager described a good neighborhood and plans for building renovation and new laundry facilites. I will say the unit itself is not bad, but the building is in rough shape, my downstairs neighbor is crazy and has been accusing me of intentionally making noise to bother her at night, people are loud at all hours and the neighborhood is in rough shape. The washing machines are still broken since before I moved in, and the new manager said that she wasn't aware of any plans to get new ones. The best part was when the maintenance guy let it slip that one of the reasons the previous tenant was evicted was because he was cooking meth in my place.
This weekend I was also supposed to go to my friend's wedding in Nebraska, but the rental car I had booked was canceled without me being notified and there was not a single rental car in the whole Denver I could get on short notice, and the flights were stupid expensive.
I know I'm not stupid but the way I chose to execute this whole venture is a crushing indictment to my intelligence as a functional adult. The punches keep coming and im so tired and feel so powerless I can't dodge them anymore.
