It is no secret that strong mental health can significantly contribute to an individual’s overall well-being. However, as we have repeatedly seen, mental health can be impacted by various factors. This realization highlights the Importance of Rehabilitation
When considering Rehabilitation, our attention is automatically drawn to identifying the best Psychologists/Therapists we can seek.

Experienced doctors working with a well-known Rehabilitation Centre in Bangalore explain that in the realm of mental health rehabilitation, therapists continue to play a crucial role as guides and supporters. By implementing a combination of empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a compassionate approach, therapists ensure the safe recovery of their clients.
How Does This Happen?
Creating a conducive environment Therapists need to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can express themselves freely. This helps them understand their clients better.
Conduct specific Analysis Every patient's history is different. As such, getting closer to a patient and studying his behavior, responses and thought patterns helps the therapist to arrive at a tailor-made treatment program for each individual.
Implement evidence-based approach There are many latest technologies driven treatment programs that therapists have used very successfully to get into the depth of an individual’s concern and address it smoothly. Rest assured, a patient's physical and mental comfort is not compromised at any stage of study.
Encourage self-reflection An expert therapist will give every opportunity to his client to self-reflect on his mental health condition and come out with probabilities of what could be the cause of his discomfort.
Advocating for good health and well-being Through frequent education programs, therapists share the secrets of maintaining good mental health and more importantly, sustaining it for longer periods.

Understanding the Importance of Women's Mental Health: Breaking the Stigma
In today's fast-paced world, women face a multitude of challenges that can take a toll on their mental health. Whether it is the pressure of juggling work and family responsibilities, societal expectations, or hormonal imbalances, women often find themselves struggling to maintain their mental well-being. Unfortunately, mental health still has a significant stigma, making it difficult for women to seek the help they need. However, the good news is that female mental health hospitals near Delhi are stepping up to address this issue, providing safe spaces and professional support to women facing mental health challenges.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Importance of Women's Mental Health
Maintaining sound mental health is crucial for women’s overall well-being and quality of life. This is because mental health issues can affect every aspect of their life - relationships, careers, and physical health. However, due to societal expectations and gender norms, women often feel compelled to suppress their emotions and put others' needs before their own. This can lead to the development of mental health issues like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other mental health conditions.
Breaking the Stigma
One of the biggest barriers to women seeking help for mental health issues is the stigma surrounding mental illness. Women fear being labeled as “crazy” or weak if they admit to struggling with their mental well-being. This stigma not only prevents women from seeking timely treatment but also perpetuates the cycle of shame and silence. To combat this, it is crucial to promote open conversations about mental health and educate society about the importance of seeking help.

Here's a silly idea if you wanna try it, no pressure!
How do you think the bachelor's/bachelorette's world react to the Farmer casually mentioning a blue man who leaves notes for them around town as challenges who also keeps cameras around town to watch them?
They do not elaborate, the Farmer just moves on like they talked about the birds lmaooo
Oh, man. I found the idea itself so funny that inspiration immediately kicked my ass 🤣 There's already been more than one mention for Qi and about his weird obsession with Farmer, strange quests and, God forgive me, about "snake milk"... Sheesh 😅
Thank you so much for the ask! ☺️ (hope I translated this correctly. Or feel free to ask again!)
SDV bachelors/ettes react to Farmer, who casually mentioned Mr. Qi:
_________________________________________
"You gotta drink less so you don't see shit." It's unusual to hear Shane say that, but even he doesn't remember drinking so much that he saw some hallucinations like "blue men". He'd let Farmer's words pass his ears and now was beginning to wonder if he should let his dear niece near that weirdo. Challenges, cameras everywhere... yeah sure.
The doctor's instincts hit right away and Harvey will run after Farmer to see if they have a fever. Cameras in the whole Stardew Valley? Dangerous quests in Calico Dessert? Sorry Farmer, but Harvey won't believe it and will insist they go to the clinic for a check up, or at least rest at home. You can’t ignore rest, you know, because it affects both physical and mental health...
"So I'm not the only one who noticed it." Wait, what? How does Sebastian know? "Found a weird note with your name on it when I was in the mines." Hold on, what was a local emo doing in the mines? And why is his arm in bandages? "Hm, let't change the subject, we were talking about blue stranger, weren't we?" Wait a minute, Seb!
Alex probably won't even listen to what the Farmer is saying. "Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever you say, weirdo." The athlete may not be a genius, but even he can realize that there's no benefit to anyone putting cameras in Pelican Town for, like, what? Fun or whatever? To keep tabs on Farmer? That's stupid. Don't be stupid, Farmer.
"Wait, seriously? Yo, no kidding." With a lifestyle like Farmer's, Sam immediately believed in their words even without the details. However, the interest and desire to organize a quest with his friends to find the "secrets of the Valley" quickly faded away as the skateboarder's stomach rumbled. He would just forget the whole thing later.
Honestly, Elliott is completely confused. How should he react to what his friend Farmer has just said? The writer thinks it's complete nonsense, but because of his manners and his unwillingness to be confrontational or rude, Elliott will simply try to change the subject.
"Absurd", Abigail thought, but somehow the Farmer's words stuck in her mind. Considering that the purple-haired girl was just looking for an excuse to procrastinate duties, her ass began her own adventure of finding cameras. And she found one right away! And a strange note from someone named "Qi"! Wtf, hey Farmer, tell again about that weird blue dude!
"Ok, let's think: why would someone follow you around 24/7 and give you weird tasks?" For some reason, Maru was very much interested in Farmer's casually thrown words, trying to make sense of them. It's unclear, really, where this interest comes from, but maybe the young inventor wants to spend more time with Farmer. Even if the conversation is kinda strange.
Penny did her best to keep her smile from looking too forced. Wishing to remain polite and not to be rude, the red-haired teacher simply thanked Farmer for the conversation and went about her business, trying not to think too much about their words.
"The blue man? Oh, has Clint been drinking that Joja soda again?" No, Emily, that wasn't Clint, and he only turned blue once (and that was probably from worry, not from Joja cola). She would have forgotten about Farmer's words, but she also could swear that Sandy had once mentioned a similar person paying the rent in Oasis. Hmm, maybe Emily should ask again...
When Farmer told Haley about the strange blue man and other oddities, the blonde paused and wondered: if she should really have even listened to the words of a person who just a couple days ago had been rummaging through trash cans and eating raw seaweed? The answer was obvious, and Haley forgot about it as a misunderstanding.
Leah only shakes her head. "Whatever you say, Farmer." She doesn't want to be rude to them, but all this talk of cameras, dangerous quests, and a mysterious man hasn't impressed her one bit. If Farmer keeps this up - they'll always be considered a weirdo.

Personal: For Profit Healthcare and Me
So remember how Peacehealth drove all the independent offices in four specialties out of business, thus forcing everyone to use their clinic, then closed those clinics to force everyone to go to their central clinic two counties to the south? And remember how both the Doctors who were running that clinic made a deal to operate out of a clinic a regional medical conglomerate was opening near the hospital? so instead of me spending all day on a sixty mile each way trek for my treatment I was using the last three months of skeleton crew treatment at old clinic which ended the last Thursday in September? Remember how they said we could all follow our doctors there?
Yeah, about that.
I've been dutifully calling ever two weeks to see if they were letting people schedule appointments yet. They sent out a letter saying they were open. I stayed up Tuesday to get in sorted. it was a whole drama because the automated maze to get to the scheduler was as much of a hassle as Peacehealth's and prone to dropping calls, forcing one to start from scratch each time. so that was frustrating and tine consuming.
Apparently they have no access to our health records, so it was a start from scratch situation. Me, mentally: Shit! This is going to be HOURS. Only it wasn't for all the wrong reasons. They take Medicare, but not Medicare Advantage. So if I want it covered I have to lose most of my benefits including having Medicaid pay my big Medicare copay. O.o. Or I can pay for expensive treatments myself as uninsured.
I was upset, but I remembered superstar medical social worker lady personally calling around town to talk dentists into taking medicare dental coverage for me thus opening up my small city so that medicare patients can now get root canals and crowns instead of learning to live without chewing.
So I still thought it was salvageable. Problem is she's gone and the woman replacing her is a busy supervisor who likes to call me two hours into my sleep cycle without warning and then gets angry at me for not being charming. Previous lady asked when was best to call and would schedule calls in advance for a time when I was able to be awake and functional. it is a lot easier for me to be charming when I wasn't just ripped out of REM sleep and am now being interrogated about something.
New lady is a supervisor and super busy with supervisor things and is made of no and is snippy. I can not make her understand that not only is a 120 mile round trip over mountain passes dealing with the traffic mess along the highway in the major metropolitan area where I once got caught in a four hour traffic jam and couldn't get off to pee, is an entire exhausting day for me and that plus a treatment would not only mean i could do anything useful that day, but the next day to. She can't grasp how much pain is involved in long car trips or how much treatments take out of me. She keeps hard selling me on this and then calling me resistant and recalcitrant like I'm the one being unreasonable for considering this basically insurmountable at my level of disability.
She did not fight the in town clinic for me. She did not try to argue them around.
Her, repeating a suggestion she has made over and over since the closing announcement: You should just get your GP to do it.
Me, explaining for at least the third time because we have this conversation every time we talk: I asked my GP last spring like you asked. They can't do it. It can't be administered by a GP. They'd need to hire a specialist and build new facilities for compounding and for special storage of medication.
Her: Well just ask you GP to give you a different treatment.
Me: There are no other treatments. I have medications to manage symptoms. These treatments are the cure. There is only one cure.
Her: You are being recalcitrant!
Me: There is literally only one cure. No new ones have been invented since last February. The cure is working. I'm getting better. i will get worse again with only symptom management.
But she kept arguing with me because I was being stubborn about facts being facts. My GP can't pull an entire brand new treatment regimen out of her ass. She would not let it go or let me go and I was exhausted because it was hours past when I would normally be asleep at this point and also what was the point of her hard selling me on demanding the imaginary alternative treatment or the 120 mile trip. I ended up giving and and saying something like, "I have to go now," which I know is rude, but we spent this entire conversation with her neither listing not understanding and basically acting like I was the asshole here.
So I'm fucked and I'm frustrated and angry. I was literally at the point where I was going to get better really quickly if I kept doing treatments, but if we stop now I'll be back to square one with it all to do again if another clinic opens.
And it's all like this because Obama and Biden didn't have the balls to stick to their universal free healthy care guns and decided to adopt the capitalist give away Republican health plan in pursuit of bipartisan buy in they did not get, which anyone paying attention told them they could not get, which Mitch McConnell vowed they'd never get as part of the project to make Obama a one term president at all costs. They burned all their political capital on a bullshit give away to insurance companies when they could have taken the same or less of a hit just giving up a developed country level health care system. No fucked up website needed for sign ups. No red tape or copays or catch 22 shit like I'm dealing with now.

"perfect as always"
Tumblr media
pairing: Kyle "Gaz" Garrick x reader
word count: 1.1k
synopsis: just getting a check up. Something I thought about while making my gaz headcanons which, is above this fic on my masterlist.
tags: Domestic bliss, fluff, getting a flu shot, Gaz being a sweet husband
A/N: This turned out longer than I expected but anything for Gaz <3 This is in reference to my headcanons about him so if you already know, great!
"Traffic is great today, huh? You think you'll have enough energy to go for a walk after this?"
"Probably. That new restaurant near our place is about to open, by the way. I think it's just a two-year checkup and a flu shot– if I can get one during this appointment. We'll finish up by lunch, so just a few ideas."
"Sounds great, sweetheart. I'll get back to you about this after we're done here, yeah?"
Kyle pulled into the clinic's parking garage while you closed the passenger seat window. He wasn't lying when he said the weather was great. The leaves were all shades of red and yellow, but it wasn't a cold day in autumn. The past week had been a bit chilly. You were surprised you could go out without a light jacket today, but the sun felt great on your skin. You saw the park out of the window on the way. A few kids were playing in the leaf piles, and folks were walking their dogs along the stone path. You and Kyle strolled out of the parking garage and into the clinic, hand in hand.
The waiting room was mostly empty. Your best guess was that everyone was at work or taking advantage of the lovely weather. You walked up to the front desk to sign in, picking up a clipboard with some health-related questions and a couple of sheets to sign. Your husband was on his phone next to you while you filled in whatever you needed. It looked a bit longer than usual.
Any severe stress? Besides wondering if your Mr. is coming home safe, no. Any symptoms of anxiety? Same answer as before. Any blurry vision? No, at least nothing new. Any feelings of sore joints? Nothing unhealthy, but only from work. Any coughing or signs of fev–
"Y/n... Garrick?" You look up to see your doctor in front of you. She looked new. You usually see the same woman for checkups. The fall season did bring in new doctors from summer graduates. She was probably recently hired. You could tell by the lack of confidence in her attitude. First months on the job are pretty rough, she’ll get it soon.
"Yes, that's me."
"Alright, um, this way, please." You look back to see Kyle getting up to go with you. You're so grateful that he accompanies you on appointments. He's probably the best person to be around if you ever get bad news medically. Your doctor takes you into the checkup room and takes a gown for you to wear.
"I'll give you some time to finish up that clipboard and to change into that gown. Are fifteen minutes good enough?"
"Mhm, thank you."
"Alright, I'll be back then." She closed the door behind her, and you started to get undressed.
"She looks new, right?" Your husband spoke.
"I thought so too. I was expecting the other woman from two years ago, but she seems nice. A bit awkward but nice."
"That's fair. I'd be intimidated working a new medical job. Is that clipboard long?"
"Longer than the last checkup, in my opinion. There are more mental health-related questions, which is refreshing, but more work sucks." Your husband hummed in response as you finished getting into the paper-like medical gown. You sat back down to complete your paperwork. As soon as you signed for the last signature needed, your doctor knocked on your door before coming in.
"Are you done, miss?"
"Yup!"
"Okay! For confidentiality reasons, can you step out temporarily, sir?"
"Oh yes, of course. See you in a bit." Kyle kissed your cheek before leaving to sit in the waiting room again.
"You have one sweet guy." Your doctor joked.
"I know, right?"
Your checkup went fine. There were no new concerns, just the same as last time. Your husband came back in as soon as you finished getting dressed.
"Nothing bad?"
"Of course not."
"Perfect as always, sweetheart." You smiled at his light compliment.
"Will that be it?" Your doctor asked.
"I was wondering if I could get my flu shot done. Better now than late November or December, right?"
"Yes, for sure! I'll go to get that done right away. Can you get one arm out while you wait?" You nodded back, and your doctor left once again. As you were taking your arm out of your sleeve, Kyle had a teasing look in his eyes.
"You scared?" You rolled your eyes at him and didn't answer. Truthfully, who isn't scared of shots? Sure, they don't hurt, but it's still a needle. You were grown now, so it wasn't as terrifying to get a simple flu shot as it used to be. Plus, the love of your life is next to you.
"By the way, that restaurant we talked about opens in about... twenty minutes? You still up for going?" It must've been what he was checking on his phone earlier.
"Oh yes, I'm starving."
"Got it."
Your doctor came into the room, tray in hand. The syringe always looked scary. Why did the needle have to be so terrifyingly thin?
"Ready?" Your doctor asked, wiping your arm with an alcohol prep pad. Before you answered, you felt a large warm hand lovingly laced with yours. Kyle was looking at you with that sweet honey-infused smile.
"Yup."
"Alright." The shot went by quickly. A few seconds passed, and then you felt a bandaid on the same spot the needle used to be.
"You're done! Just wait for around ten minutes for any concerning side effects. If nothing happens, you're free to go!"
"Alright, thank you so much!" She left you and your husband in the room to wait. Your hands were still holding each other. Your husband made almost anywhere feel like home, even a dull clinic. His coworkers felt the same way, viewing him as a son, nephew, or brother, despite being on a battlefield. He was just that sweet and welcoming. You couldn't be happier to have him.
"Atta girl. So brave." Kyle leaned from his chair to kiss you on the lips while fixing your sleeve. You giggled at his doting. He always praises you for small things.
"Thank you for the words of encouragement, honey.” You replied, half joking. “I love you."
"Love you too, sweetheart. Before I forget, come here. Besides the fact I want you close to me, you need to see the menu to check if you're interested in anything." You kissed his cheek after scooting closer.
"You're too sweet, love."
The ten minutes went by quickly. You waved goodbye to the lady at the desk and walked with your husband to the car. Despite being tired from all the social interactions today, you got your food to go to and have lunch at home with your husband. The rest of the day, you and Kyle had some quality time together. The bedroom windows were left open to let the fall breeze blow. You were long overdue for a good afternoon nap.

Hi! Firstly, you can message me, but if that's something that makes you uncomfortable, I can try to point you to resources right here! Feel free to send other asks :)
Talk to a trusted adult in your life. It could be a parent, an aunt/uncle, a teacher, or an older sibling. The adults in your life probably want the best for your health and happiness. It's great if you reach out to me, but at the end of the day, the adults in your life know you the best and would probably want you to talk to them first before a stranger on the internet. I'm guessing your parents will probably be open to hearing what you have to say.
Contact your doctor or a local gender clinic and ask if they can point you towards detransitioning resources.
Search online and see if there are any detransition support groups near you (unlikely this will pan out, but it's worth a try). If you happen to know anyone who has detransitioned, you can also reach out to them.
If you are able to, please look into counseling. If you are dysphoric, you can ask for a counselor that will help you explore your discomfort with your body/gender roles and reconcile your relationship with your body. I’d avoid any therapists who advertise themselves as LGBTQIA2S+ friendly: they may be well meaning, but their primary method of treatment for dysphoria will likely be transition. Therapists and other mental health professionals tend to have bios where they list their background and what they specialize in: I'd suggest looking for a therapist who is female, and possibly someone who is comfortable gender non-conforming (someone who doesn't see being unhappy with gender roles or gender non-conforming as being the same as being trans). I went to a counselor who was an older lesbian. You can also send an email to Gender Exploratory Therapy Association (GETA) to see if they can match you with a therapist.
You can journal how you feel. It doesn't need to be fancy (it can be a notes page on your phone or some binder paper, but if journaling with markers and stickers and washi tape helps, you can do that too). Ask yourself what made you feel like you weren't or couldn't be a woman/girl? What does the thought of detransitioning make you feel? It can just be how you feel in general. If you're comfortable, you can also share your journal with a trusted adult or counselor. Or, it can just be for your eyes only.
Work on improving your integrity and comfort with your body. It helps you feel wonderful feelings, taste your favorite foods, see beautiful things... your body is not trying to hurt you or work against you. For example, your body is not menstruating because it is "punishing" you for not being pregnant (this is something I heard a lot growing up). Menstruation is just something female bodies do. It's vital to regulating your hormonal health, bone density, and weight. While yes, you can get pregnant and be a parent if you choose to as an adult, your body is not telling you to do anything. Your bodily functions are not a mandate. You exist for you!
Try to avoid seeing your body as a problem, or as fractured parts you want to fix: your body is just your body. Don't think of your body as a decorative object you need to change to please anyone. Your body exists for you and (most importantly) your body is you. Treating your body well is part of treating yourself well.
To improve your relationship with your body, I would recommend picking a sport or physical activity. Do something you like that makes you comfortable! If wearing a swimsuit fills you with dread, wear a more modest one or don't pick swimming. It can be as simple as walking, stretching, or yoga in your room. The point of a physical activity is not just to keep in shape, but to feel how your body is capable of doing whatever you want it to. Your body doesn't have to look a certain way for that.
Your image of your body and your comfort with being female might also improve if you take a social media break. I know it can be hard, but try to commit to a short break (a week, a month). Use this time to read, listen to music, draw, relax, exercise... whatever will keep you happy and healthy. Social media is saturated with images of sexualized, objectified, and impossibly thin women. It can be stressful to feel like you don't "measure up" to what the Internet tells you a woman is supposed to be. Take this time to remind yourself that you don't need to imitate these people to be happy.
I would also recommend you unfollow any social media accounts that make you feel bad about your body or talk about transitioning and gender all the time (you can always refollow later). Focus on how you feel about your body and yourself, not what other people promote.
What or how you decide to change socially, who you tell, or how you say it is up to you. You don't need to disclose why you're detransitioning either. You can just tell people you've decided it wasn't for you or that you'd like to go by your old name/pronouns. Don't let anyone, especially other transitioned peers, pressure you into doing or revealing anything you don't want to. If you have a friend group of trans peers your age, don't let them make you feel bad! You have the right to do what's best for you. If you have friends that aren't supportive of you doing what's best for you, it might be best to look for a new friend group.
If you've been happiest dressing in "boy" clothes or doing certain "boy" activities, none of that has to change when you detransition! Detransitioning should be about accepting that your natal biological sex is female. Being female is a neutral fact, like being brunette or being 167 cm. Being female has no bearing on what you can do, who you can love, what professions, hobbies, or interests you have... that's all gender. You don't have to change how you dress, think, feel, act, talk, etc. None of these things can disqualify you from being a woman or girl. Just be yourself and know there's no wrong way to be female.
Being a woman or girl can be scary. Menstruation sucks, sexual harassment sucks, sexism sucks. But there's light at the end of the tunnel, and that's other women and girls! Reach out to them. They are your lifeline. Build friendships. There are other women and girls just like you. You are never alone.
On that note, having positive female role models and consuming books/TV shows/movies/music by and about women can help you feel better about detransitioning and reconciling with being female.
Don't discount the wisdom of older women! They're not nags, shrews, or "Karens". They're female, too. Many of them have likely felt what you feel.
Detransitioning doesn't mean you need to feel a certain type of way on gender or trans issues. Don't let radical feminists, conservatives, or trans-rights activists bully you into saying or doing what suits their narrative. It's your life, so do what's right for you!
Lastly, here are some resources I would recommend, both about transition and detransition:
A Booklet on Gender Detransition
The risks of binding
Testosterone use and pelvic health
Maybe this is silly, but this comic helped me feel a lot better when I first saw it.
Tumblr media
Cosmic Uterus by Ida Neverdahl
Edit: I added some things to the list. Before I forget — the prevailing narrative told to dysphoric and trans-identifying teens is that you need to transition, you need to go on hormones, you need to do xyz or you will die. This is not true. Most dysphoric youth who do not medically transition end up as happy, alive adults. (If you are having suicidal thoughts, please tell a trusted adult or call a hotline). So I’m going to tell you instead what I was told, and what other lesbian, gay, and bisexual kids were told growing up: it gets better. I promise it does. You are so brave. You are going to be okay <3

Anon wrote: INFJ. I experienced childhood trauma (verbal, emotional, physical, sexual) and have a lot of difficulty with learning due to issues with concentration and memory. I also have issues with emotional dysregulation and poor sleep. I've received C-PTSD as a diagnosis, with BPD traits (I think something in the ballpark of BPD may run in my family).
During conversations I'm often only really attending to 10-50% of what is said but can usually interpolate due to redundancy. However, during technical lectures or other situations with much lower redundancy, I'm totally lost. I believe this is one factor preventing me from achieving my full potential. In my current state I'm still capable of making a good living and living a comfortable life, but I know there is far more I can achieve.
In the near term I plan to focus on Fe/Ti - emotional intelligence, social skills, and also developing Ti expertise in a specific topic aligned with my Ni vision via the right set of Fe commitments and collaborations - while sidestepping the poor concentration issue for now. I can see that sufficient prior expertise (Ti) on a conversation/lecture topic also helps to compensate for the concentration issues. You gave me similar advice (let Ti do the heavy lifting) a couple years ago.
However, in the long run, if I really want to achieve my full potential, I can see that I'll need to directly address my concentration difficulties and other ways in which I believe trauma has stalled Se development.
Do you have any thoughts on how to restore my ability to be present and learn more effectively? As of now, as part of my general healing process, I'm focusing on building healthy interpersonal relationships (likely just platonic in the near future, in part because I'm not sure if I'm currently capable of having sex), emotional regulation, learning how to drive (which I've avoided due to my poor concentration, but maybe I'll be forced to improve out of necessity), and martial arts.
I may also undergo physical therapy to be able to get a Pap smear done (as of now it's seemingly not possible due to anxiety). I also believe that the memories of the worst trauma are repressed, and am considering psychedelics and EMDR to uncover and process these memories, which perhaps could be necessary to fully heal and address my concentration and memory issues.
I've had very poor experiences with psychiatry and clinical psychology (misdiagnosis, gaslighting, fraud, and shocking levels of incompetence) so am not super eager to engage with that system again, though I'm reading the DBT manual currently and also deriving my own personal principles for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness (the latter I find to be easier, likely due to my Se issues).
I know you're likely going to say that I should consult a mental health professional, but I respect your judgment way more than any of the ones I've worked with. Also, an implicit assumption I'm making here is essentially equating focus/concentration/memory with Se, which may be inaccurate. Finally, I can't thank you enough for this blog. It's been lifechanging, to say the least.
Also, another assumption here is that trauma is the cause of the concentration and memory issues - that's my current hypothesis but I could certainly be wrong. My mom (who I think also has BPD traits) frequently complains about her difficulty concentrating. It's possible she also experienced trauma, or maybe it's genetic. No one has been willing to diagnose me with ADHD due to no evidence of learning issues in childhood. BPD dissociation could ultimately be the best explanation.
---------------------
Poor concentration is a lot like a sore throat, in that it can be a symptom of a great many things. By itself, it doesn't tell you a lot. The underlying cause could be relatively simple like poor physical health, or it could be a psychological issue like C-PTSD, or it could be a very complicated combination of factors working together, each needing their own solution. Let's unpack:
1) Physical Health: Brain functioning is heavily dependent upon physical health. Without a healthy body to support the brain, you won't possess enough energy and will to perform the executive function tasks you need for self-management and self-improvement. You mentioned poor sleep. A well-rested mind is essential for good concentration and quality sleep is essential for efficient memory consolidation.
Your brain is a physical object that requires physical care and maintenance. Without a nutritious diet, quality sleep, adequate exercise and blood flow, and proper stress/illness management, brain operation suffers. Therefore, improving mental health should always begin with improving your physical habits, establishing healthy physical routines, and maintaining work-life balance. Improving physical health also goes a long way to improving emotional regulation.
2) Mental Health: Yes, trauma can interfere with focus and memory operations, but this doesn't mean it's the cause, so I wouldn't be so quick to jump to that conclusion. Focus and memory issues aside, it is generally important to your well-being to be mentally healthy, so you need to address your mental health issues in a timely manner.
You mention three issues: C-PTSD due to a history of abuse, BPD traits, and emotional dysregulation. It's often the case that these three things are interrelated, but it's important to know for sure by getting properly checked out by a mental health professional.
There is a good chance that DBT will be an effective treatment for these three issues because it teaches you how to manage emotions better. But I suggest that you work with a DBT specialist rather than go it alone. The presence of BPD traits makes it likely that you have difficulty being objective about yourself, so going it alone could inadvertently lead you straight into Ti loop if you're not careful (assuming you're not already there). Due to the necessity of Fe development, it is vital that you have an objective person to reflect important truths back to you.
Every profession has its fair share of duds and bad apples. Not everyone graduates with honors, after all. I understand that you've had negative experiences with professionals and I can only reiterate that it's important to keep shopping around until you find the right fit. Being much more specific about the problem/issue you want to address can help you narrow down the search.
3) Learning and Improvement: You are drawn to my blog and its ideas about type development. While lack of presence may be an indication of Se misuse, the solution isn't as simple as developing Se. You're not anywhere near ready to develop the inferior function, and fixating on it is likely to be harmful.
In INFJs, lack of presence isn't directly caused by Se. It's more likely to be related to maladaptive Fe. When INFJs aren't able to handle the intense feelings and emotions that Fe opens them up to, they tend to develop a habit of detaching from the world and retreating into their own self-created world through Ni-Ti loop. Detachment means you separate yourself from reality, and lack of presence is one common symptom of that.
You can't be fully present and learn well when you're not learning for the sake of learning but rather treat learning merely as a means to some other, more unconscious end. When there's a lot happening in the unconscious, especially if you have a long running habit of repressing feelings and emotions, you're being driven by dark forces. If this is true for you, your real potential isn't to be found in learning or "intelligence" but rather in honesty and becoming more self-aware, i.e., facing up to the things that haunt you, which goes back to point #2 about getting proper therapy to address your trauma.
You seem very motivated to improve yourself and your life, which is generally a good thing. However, this motivation should be closely examined in INFJs because they often suffer from perfectionism and use "self-improvement" to feed unhealthy control issues. In other words, their motives can be suspect. You say you're not living up to your "full" potential, e.g., you should be able to focus better, be more present, remember more, perform better, etc, but is this really true? Says who? Who is the one defining this notion of "potential"? What are you really aiming for and why? What does "full" mean, i.e., at what point does it end?
At some point, if you ever hope to be at peace, you have to accept the reality of your limitations and be content in who you are, as is. Are you happy with yourself and who you are? Is your quest for self-improvement motivated by love of yourself, love of life, and love of others? Or is it fueled by ego, illusion, insecurity, guilt, shame, or self-loathing? It is very important to answer these questions honestly. Attempting self-improvement with unconscious intentions can lead to undesirable consequences. It sounds like you're trying to do way too much at once, which is usually a warning sign. Biting off more than you can chew is a very good way to choke.
Your thinking is messy and confused. You've taken the above three points and mashed them together. Despite what you believe about them being related, they are distinct issues that each need proper attention. I've separated them out for you and numbered them in order of importance. Slow down, prioritize the issues in the right order, and take things one SMALL step at a time.

the breathless joy....with which he greets clark....the way he promises to tell no one about his secret abilities....the way he begs him to help him....but the thing is Lex really DOES need therapy and time in a psychiatric unit (a good one tho lol jesus), even though he isn’t clinically psychotic.  he could GET there very easily, given the LONG list of trauma he’s undergone since he was a little kid.
like. how many things can i list as of mid season 3? some of them are just really painful ways to erode lex’s sense of safety and trust, others are full-blown traumatic episodes. and most significantly, MANY are CHRONIC, and NONE are ever ADDRESSED PROPERLY.
--lionel’s incessant narcissistic abuse and neglect
--health scares connected to asthma (don’t you dare @ me on this, i have lived through several family and friends having asthma and attacks are unpredictable and scary asf, no matter how rich your parents are)
--the smallville meteor shower and the physical and mental trauma of being caught in a kryptonite explosion
--julian’s death (and lex believes he’s at fault even though he was a small child) and lex’s subsequent nervous breakdown
--significant bullying from childhood peers over his appearance, the breakdown (it happened at excelsior/prep school in the “belltower”), and socio-economic privilege
--surely knowing lionel was unfaithful to lillian multiple times
--lillian’s death, unexpectedly, of cancer
--the way lionel’s abuse and neglect doubtlessly intensified thereafter
--the nanny, the closest thing to a proxy mother, abandoning lex shortly thereafter
--the club zero incident and fallout, and lex’s attempt to take the blame for his friend
--the “bad things” lex did in college, and their consequences
--being “exiled” to smallville to run a seemingly doomed fertilizer plant
--the infamous car accident and near-death experience
--the whole bullshit with pheromone girl trying to marry and use him
--the whole bullshit with that victoria chick and her dad
--the hostage situation over level three
--the nanny resurfacing, and dealing with her death being like reliving lillian’s death
--being kidnapped, hung upside down, and threatened in the dark at gunpoint by the guy who looked like the guy lex’s friend killed in club zero
--multiple professional assassination attempts on lex’s life, including by his own father and by one of clark’s vigilante classmates, who sees lex as a “meteor freak”
--the whole thing with the clairvoyant old lady who DIED because of how scared she was by seeing what was IN HIS FUTURE!!!!! (and we’re surprised he’s paranoid????)
--the entire tornado thing, where he had a chance to let lionel die (he fucking should have, he probably would never have become a villain if he had, i said what i said) but didn’t, and then had to deal with his fake-blind dad gaslighting and guilting him while invading and monitoring and BUGGING his own personal space
--closely related, the luthercorp buyout of lexcorp: it’s a form of assault and disrespected boundaries, it’s a denial of autonomy, it’s toxic!!! it counts!!!!
--learning and forgetting (even if he forgets, the damage is there) several times that his best friend is a powerful alien and never told him
--repeatedly trying to show the kents respect and affection and repeatedly being judged by jonathan kent based on lionel luther’s actions
--being lied to and then learning the truth about what happened to his grandparents (his dad murdered them in a rigged tenement explosion, with a best friend who is apparently a notorious mob boss, lmfao)
--falling in love with helen and nearly losing her to a stalker’s attack
--marrying helen and being betrayed and left for dead on a tropical island because of her
--realizing he’s had a psychotic episode while on that island COMPLETELY ALONE FOR 3 MONTHS--one which revealed his (understandable tbh) desire to commit patricide--and realizing he can’t even trust his own goddamn senses
--realizing the woman he genuinely loves and trusts did try to kill him and that his ABUSER! was RIGHT!!!! about her!!!!
--trying to win back his ABUSER’S!!!!! respect by becoming a luthercorp employee again and being  gaslit into further self-doubt by said abuser (”are you SURE you’re okay son uwu” fuck a cactus lionel)
--learning clark’s good friend chloe was researching and working for lionel behind his back
--ALL the events of “Shattered,” including learning he accidentally mortally wounded lana, who’s probably been kinder to him than anyone else
--after it all being stuck in a horrible mental hospital and realizing his best friend won’t help him (in his own admittedly warped perception)
Holy shit that’s 33 things.
